After dinner, I went back to the hotel to rest and slept all afternoon. I hurriedly left around 5 o'clock. I heard that the night view of Hongya Cave is very beautiful, so we plan to visit Hongya Cave tonight. The driver who came here said that it looks even more beautiful from the other side of the Jialing River, so we took a taxi and got off at the Grand Theater. It has to be said that the transportation cost in Chongqing is relatively affordable. I feel that the car has been driven quite far and there is traffic congestion. The fare for getting off the car is only 17 yuan. At this time, it was not yet dark, and the lights had already lit up in Hongya Cave. We filmed on the platform of the Grand Theater and took many photos.

Fortunately, we took these photos here, and later we arrived at the mud stall by the river, which was a sea of people with pedestrians in the background. Playing and playing, as it got dark, the lights on the Qiansimen Bridge also lit up, making it even more beautiful.

After filming enough of the Hongya Cave on the other side, I turned around and saw that the Grand Theater was also lit up, with a sea blue color that was particularly beautiful. Later, I saw online that it was sometimes red and sometimes yellow, both very beautiful. We also played with silhouettes under the wall.

Later, many people learned from us and started playing, so we walked towards the river. There are people on the mudflats by the river, and it is impossible to take a photo without pedestrians in the background from any angle. We don't like places with too many people, so we just took a few quick photos.

At this moment, a continuous stream of people is coming from the Grand Theater towards the riverbank, and the number of people is increasing. We plan to leave. Walking along the river, I thought there was an exit ahead. After walking for a long time, I realized that all the exits were surrounded. So I turned back and followed some side roads, but at the end, they were once again surrounded, which was very frustrating! Amidst the mountains and rivers, there is no way out. There is really no way forward! After wandering around like this, I realized that we could only exit through the entrance, which was very frustrating. I hope people who read this travelogue don't have to take detours anymore. They can only leave from where they came in.

The exit ahead is enclosed

Coming out of the river and following the crowd upwards, we arrived at the Qiansimen Bridge and planned to take the light rail back. There were many stairs, but no escalators, making our legs feel weak

We got off at Xiaoshizi Station on Line 2 and plan to have hotpot tonight. During lunch, the owner of the noodle shop recommended "Zhu's Fat and Rotten Hot Pot" to us. When we pushed open the door and entered, we were stopped by the lady at the entrance. It was almost 9 o'clock and we had to wait in line. Thinking about the restaurant that had to wait so late, it must have been very delicious, so we obediently waited at the entrance for about half an hour. The environment in the restaurant is pretty good, the lighting is bright, the table is tidy, and the hotpot is really delicious. We ordered tender beef slices, tripe, shrimp paste, fish and so on. We had a full meal and the price was very favorable. We didn't have to pay 200 yuan.

It was already past 11 o'clock when I returned to the hotel, so I hurriedly washed up and went to bed. Before going to bed, I looked at the recommendation and planned to visit the Mountain City Trail tomorrow.

The hotel bed was too comfortable. We woke up after 10 o'clock and slowly tidied up before going to eat. For lunch, we still had Chongqing noodles. After dinner, take a taxi to Shancheng Trail. According to the recommendation of netizens, get off at Consul Lane as the destination. This way, we can walk up and down without climbing stairs.

Going down from Consul Lane, there is a narrow stone staircase with gray walls on both sides. On one of the steps of the stone staircase, there is a plaque inscribed with the words' Best Photography Spot '. I stood on the plaque but did not find any points worth taking photos of. Continuing down, there is a small shop selling cultural and creative products. We bought a small fan because we wanted to take photos of the scenery outside the shop. The owner enthusiastically introduced us to the history of the trail and told us why the best photography spot doesn't look easy to take. It's because it's only the best photography spot at certain times when the sunlight shines through the branches and leaves of the trees and onto the wall, which is the most beautiful moment. The past two days we've been here have been cloudy and we can't see the sunshine, so it's a pity.

Further ahead are the Renai Church and Bell Tower. Renai Church has a history of more than 100 years and was originally a church built by the French. The weather was bad and we couldn't make good films, so we were very frustrated.

Further down, you will find the former site of Jinma Temple Primary School. If there were sunshine, I believe it would also be a beautiful photo.

Continuing down, I saw that the old houses on both sides of the stone staircase had been transformed into various commercial shops, very commercialized. This year, it is very popular to cook tea around the stove, and there are many stove positions on both sides of the road for tourists to rest and eat.

We quickly reached the entrance of the Mountain City Trail (we started from the exit, so the entrance is our exit). I heard that the Eighteen Stairs are nearby, so we plan to go and take a look.

After walking many sloping roads, we finally reached the Eighteen Stairs, which turned out to be another stone staircase. On both sides of the stone staircase are shops renovated from old houses, which are too commercialized and lack the flavor of the old city, much like Yongqing Fang in Guangzhou. It feels like tourism development and renovation of old houses across the country are all the same. This place is also crowded with people, with no desire to take photos at all. We hurriedly left.

It's still early, but my legs have become weak and I can't walk with about ten pounds of photography equipment on my back, We plan to take the Light Rail Line 2 and see this 8D city. The Liziba Station, which the Light Rail Line 2 passes through, is the first cross platform monorail elevated station in China that coexists with commercial and residential buildings. It was built in March 2004 and is located on the 6th and 7th floors of the commercial and residential building at No. 39 Liziba Main Street on the banks of the Jialing River. It has become a well-known "internet famous station" both domestically and internationally due to its "aerial train passing through the building". The station is designed, constructed, and put into use simultaneously with commercial and residential buildings.

When the subway stopped at Liziba Station, we didn't get off. Looking at the people taking photos below the station, the children waved their hands vigorously to greet the tourists. At that time, it was the rush hour after work, and the subway was very crowded. We got on the train from the starting station, sat at the front of the car, and watched the scenery through the window. I can't count how many D's there are in this city. Seeing that the construction is still underway by the river, perhaps there is an additional layer.

We sat at the two stations before the finish line and then turned back. The child said he wants to go to Hongya Cave again tonight to see the internal structure. A few hundred meters away from Hongya Cave, there are already a sea of people. If he takes a wrong turn, he will have to walk many wrong paths to get out. Finally arrived at Hongyadong, only to find that it was full of shops, very commercialized, and the children didn't think there was much to see, so they found their way out. It was Valentine's Day and there were so many people that it took a lot of effort to go out, which was frustrating.

I had another hot pot dinner at Zhu's in the evening. I worked hard all day, but luckily there was food to comfort me.

On the third day, I want to see Dazu Rock Carvings. Dazu Rock Carvings, located in Dazu District, Chongqing, was carved in the Tang, Five Dynasties and Song Dynasties. Now it is a world cultural heritage and one of the eight largest grottoes in the world. It represents the highest level of world cave art from the 9th to the 13th century AD. I'm worried that young people won't like to watch these, but the child said she heard that some people get so excited and burst into tears when they see those exquisitely carved Buddha statues, and she also wants to feel them. So we decided to go to Dazu Rock Carvings tomorrow.

I have booked a boutique small group on a certain group app, which includes services such as car pick-up and drop off, as well as scenic spot tickets and explanations. At around 7 o'clock in the morning, the driver arrived downstairs on time to pick us up. We were the second wave of tourists to board the bus. The next wave of tourists will stay at the Wudu Hotel, which was formerly known as the "Fifth Guesthouse of the Municipal Government". It is said that in the past, this place was only used for government reception and was a hotel that ordinary people could not stay in. On the way to Wudu Hotel, I passed by many government agencies and beautiful surroundings, so I thought that if I came to Chongqing again next time, maybe I would stay here for a while. When all the people were together, the car drove to Dazu Rock Carvings. Let's first visit the Beishan Stone Carvings.

There are not many statues in the Beishan stone carvings, so the tour was quickly completed. The driver took us to the center of Dazu District for free dining. Before it was time to concentrate after dinner, I saw a small village and vegetable fields ahead, so I walked over with the children. On the side of the path are several small houses. An old man wearing a white headscarf walked out of one of the doors and looked at us curiously. The dog at the door saw a stranger approaching and barking loudly.

Awang seems to have tattooed eyebrows, it's very funny.

First time seeing a longan tree.

Continuing forward, there is a vegetable field with unknown small flowers growing by its edge. "Among a few green clusters, the small flowers are alone in one place, enjoying themselves.

The child said that I came to this place far away from crowds and noise, and my whole body relaxed. I think so too!

It's time to concentrate quickly, get in the car and continue moving forward. On the way, the rapeseed flowers on both sides of the road bloomed sporadically in the fields, with scattered yellow flowers and green leaves among them, more beautiful than the abundance of yellow flowers.

We soon arrived at the Baoding Mountain Stone Carvings. The Dazu Rock Carvings are well preserved. The Buddha carvings in some caves are very lifelike, and the clothes are lifelike.

Follow the tour guide to see the stone carvings on Baoding Mountain, listen to the explanation, and it will take about an hour to finish. My child and I felt like we hadn't seen enough, so we watched our favorite Buddha statue again. On the way down the mountain, I saw lush moss on the roadside and dug up a few pieces to raise at home. From then on, it became a pot of moss with a history

I hope that tourists who read this travelogue will not learn from my lack of quality

We pass by Shengshou Temple on our way down the mountain. We enter the temple to offer incense, light butter lamps, pray for blessings, worship Buddha, and even ask for divination in the temple. After finishing the set, it was already past the concentrated time, and we hurriedly rushed down the mountain, missing the museum.

At about 6 o'clock when we returned to downtown Chongqing, the driver's eldest brother suggested that we visit Guanyin Bridge, saying that the area around Monument to the people's Liberation is a place for tourists and Guanyin Bridge is a place for locals to play. We followed the advice and got off at Guanyinqiao. There were a lot of people, a bit like Tianhe City in Guangzhou. They fled back to Monument to the people's Liberation. I wanted to eat Chongqing Jianghu cuisine at night, but I chose a restaurant that didn't taste good and returned feeling unhappy.

I finally got back to the hotel earlier tonight and returned to my room at around 8 o'clock. I walked to the terrace of my room to enjoy the scenery, and my eyes lit up. I had a panoramic view of the unbeatable river. The Grand Theater we visited on our first night in Chongqing was right across the river, like a blue diamond from afar, extremely beautiful.

On the left side of the terrace, through the gap between two buildings, you can see a small section of Qiansimen Bridge. It's still bustling with traffic and people coming and going at around 11 pm.

The view of the river is too beautiful. Although the outdoor temperature is a bit low, I can't bear to go back to my room and continue to enjoy the scenery on the terrace with the northwest wind blowing.

The child was playing with their phone in the room. After a while, they brought their laptop and brought a bottle of drink out of the terrace. They said that the heating in the room was too strong and that working on the terrace would help them stay awake and enjoy the night view. Share the hotel we stayed in for three days, Chongqing Tianya Wuxi High Altitude Resort Hotel, and Monument to the people's Liberation Raffles Hotel. The transportation is convenient, clean, sanitary, well equipped, quiet, and the landscape is very good.

On the last day, there was no itinerary arranged. After waking up, I checked out first, checked my luggage, and then went to eat and buy specialties.

I heard that Chongqing cuisine is very spicy before coming to Chongqing, but we haven't been spicy these days. So is it because we can eat spicy food, or is it because the dish itself is not spicy? So we went to a small shop run by people from Chongqing to get spicy, but we still couldn't get it. We asked the owner if they were treating us equally because they saw that we were from out of town. We assumed that we were Guangzhou people who could eat spicy food. For lunch, there is a dish of stir fried old cured meat. The smoked flavor of the cured meat is very fragrant, and both my child and I love to eat it.

After dinner, I walked to a specialty store where there were pieces of smoked old cured meat hanging on one side. The owner's beautiful daughter said that these were meat from her own pigs that had been cured for three years. I bought a 3-year-old cured meat and a fragrant pig cured meat. I didn't know if it tasted good when I bought it, but when I came back and tried it, I thought both types of cured meat were delicious. The mouth is filled with the fragrance of wax, the aroma is strong and fragrant, the taste of wax is mellow, fat but not greasy, and thin without filling teeth, it is indescribable.

This is fragrant pork bacon stir fried with garlic sprouts and chili peppers after returning home. It's very fragrant and delicious. I personally think that 3-year-old cured meat has a more fragrant taste, but it also contains more fat.

Fortunately, I left the shop owner's business card, so I can continue to buy after finishing. A book also recommended Fried Dough Twists, Hechuan Peach Slices, Zhangfei Beef, Rice Cake and other specialties. I bought some of them, but I think they are OK and will not buy again. I highly recommend Chongqing cured meat. If you can accept smoked cured meat, you can try buying it. When buying specialty products, I was once again praised by the shop owner for looking young and happy.

Shop name: Wulong Gaoshan Tu Zhu Lao La Rou Chongqing Wholesale Department, located on the second floor of the Cotton Street United Agricultural Fresh Market

After buying the specialty, it's time to return home.

This trip to Chongqing, I didn't do too much strategy before coming here. After arriving in Chongqing, the weather was not good and it was crowded. For me, who likes peace and quiet, it's not a good place to relax and travel. The first day I saw the crowds around Monument to the people's Liberation, I even had the disgust of "I have to stay here for four days before I can go". Fortunately, I have food consolation these days, and I also bought delicious old Chongqing bacon, which is worth the trip. Because of the large number of people, I just chose a few scenic spots to take a walk (four days and three nights, I only went to Hongya Cave, Mountain City Trail, Eighteen Ladders, took the No. 2 Light Rail, Dazu Rock Carvings, too ashamed...), but also because of the large number of people, I was uninspired, impatient, and failed to take satisfactory photos.

After this trip, I know where I should go to play in the future. As a friend said, you like places that are rarely visited
