Why choose Guizhou?
Because it's cool. This summer is really too hot for my wife. I had planned to go to Gannan again and visit Locke and Xiaoduku, but unfortunately, due to road construction, Locke's road was closed. I have played in the surrounding provinces of Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Henan, Ningxia, and Gansu in Shaanxi, so I decided to set off for the refreshing city of Guiyang. The fact proves that this decision is basically correct (the temperature east of Guizhou is not much lower than that of Shaanxi, but it is still quite cool west of Guiyang). Every place we visit is not too far by car, mainly because we don't have to climb mountains, which is particularly suitable for our needs.
D1 Xi'an Ankang Langao 275km 3.5h
Why go to Langao? Because I have taken the highway to reach the state several times, but Langao has never been there. We set off this afternoon, and by the time we arrived in Langao, it was already getting dark. I had planned to have dinner in the Yang family courtyard next to the county town, but surprisingly, every household in the entire scenic area ran out of food. It's really not easy for everyone to think about it. On such a hot day and weekend, they all went to the mountains to escape the heat. It's the first time I've seen a scene where there's no food at the food point.
I only found out when I went to the courtyard of the Yang family that it was not a farmhouse, but a village farmhouse that had specially created a scenic area with a considerable scale.
In the evening, I went to visit the Lanhe River in the county town. I ate and drank in the small night market, with a bright moon in the sky and a gentle breeze blowing. Sitting by the river to cool off was also quite beautiful.
D2 Ankang Langao Chongqing Wanzhou 298km 5.5h
Why does it take more than 5 hours to reach less than 300km? Because most of them didn't take the highway. The beautiful scenery on the road of self driving is not necessarily a scenic spot, but more often on national highways, provincial highways, township roads, and even village roads. Starting from Langao, take the Yuecheng Highway, turn onto Chengqian Road, and then take the expressway from Shangcheng in Chengkou County to Wanzhou District.
The first time I walked through the canyon of Bashan, the scenery was not inferior to Qinling. Opening the car window, the cool and fresh air came rushing in. As the altitude increases, the temperature gradually decreases. When we set off in the morning, it was still 30 degrees, but when we reached the mountaintop at noon, it was only 23 degrees. It was really cool.
There are several observation decks at the top of the mountain, offering a panoramic view from a high altitude and a refreshing and relaxing experience. There are hardly any scenic spots along this road except for the Bashan Grassland, but I didn't go to the Bashan Grassland either because the scenery along the way is like being in a scenic spot.
Wanzhou is known as Little Chongqing because it is also located on the banks of the Yangtze River, built along the mountains, with various large slopes and many popular photo spots. But the temperature was 35 degrees that day, so I didn't go around much.
Wanzhou grilled fish is a must eat dish, and the most famous one in the area is a fly restaurant. Unfortunately, it's too hot, so I chose another grilled fish restaurant with a slightly better environment. After all, having air conditioning during meals in this weather is the most important thing. The fish skin is crispy, the fish meat is very tender, just a bit salty, the taste is okay, it can't be said to be stunning. Because Wanzhou District is a Three Gorges immigrant area, if you have time, you can go to the Three Gorges Immigrant Memorial Hall to have a look. When you come out, you can buy a cup of internet famous coffee at the coffee shop across the street.
D3 Chongqing Wanzhou - Wanzhou Waterfall - Youyang 360km 5h
Wanzhou Waterfall was not originally included in the planned itinerary because it was definitely necessary to visit Huangguoshu Waterfall when going to Guizhou. However, seeing that it was not far from the city center and claimed to be the best in Asia, I had a rebellious heart and decided to go and see it. Starting from the urban area of Wanzhou, it takes about an hour to reach the Wanzhou Waterfall Scenic Area. The parking lot is not large, with only a dozen or so cars parked in total. There was no scenic handover, so we entered the scenic area directly. In the end, it proved that we had come to the right place. The scenic area is not large and can be explored in two to three hours. The mountains are not high and you can take a slide. The river is not wide, but you can take a small boat. There is a stone statue of General Ganning in the scenic area, which is said to be born here.
When crossing the ancient bridge and seeing the waterfall, everyone would be stunned because the waterfall is indeed very wide, like a pearl chain hanging on a cliff.
There is also a Water Curtain Cave behind the waterfall. The last time I saw it was the Colorful Flying Waterfall in the Bamboo Sea of southern Sichuan, but obviously this Water Curtain Cave is much larger, even larger than the Water Curtain Cave of Huangguoshu Waterfall that came later. Walking in it is a unique pleasure.
Coming out of the Wanzhou Waterfall, one travels along national, provincial, and rural roads, climbing up and down mountains and walking by the river. If it weren't for the heat, one would really want to stop and play. From Zhongxian County to the expressway, the expressway passes through Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot District, and the tunnels are connected one by one. In fact, the Fairy Mountain in Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot is also a good place to spend the summer, but we have been there before, so we go straight to Youyang Taohuayuan. I only discovered in Youyang that the Peach Blossom Spring Scenic Area is not far from the county town, and the county town is quite lively at night. If you need to stay in Youyang, you can choose to stay in the county town. I have no experience, so I chose a homestay in the mountains between the scenic area and the county town. The advantage is that it is quiet and I can watch the stars at night. Perhaps some people say, why don't you book a hotel when you arrive at your destination? Due to summer vacation travel, the popular tourist destination is crowded with people. Not to mention the doubling of hotel prices, it is difficult to book in advance.
D4 Chongqing Youyang Guizhou Tongren 160km 2h
Yuyang Peach Blossom Spring, I heard from a travel expert before, but this time I feel like it's truly a paradise. However, the signage of the scenic area is not very clear. To reach the entrance of Taohuayuan Scenic Area, you need to drive to the south gate of Youyang Ancient City and take an electric scooter, passing through this basically man-made ancient town.
Entering the scenic area is exactly like Tao Yuanming's "Peach Blossom Spring": "Suddenly encountering a peach blossom forest, hundreds of steps between the banks, there are no miscellaneous trees in the middle, the fragrant grass is delicious, and the falling petals are colorful. When the forest reaches the water source, there is a mountain with a small opening, as if there is light. Then I abandon the boat and enter through the mouth. At first, it is extremely narrow, only then can people pass through. After walking for dozens of steps, suddenly everything becomes clear. The land is flat and spacious, and the houses are like good fields, beautiful ponds, and mulberry and bamboo trees. The roads are connected, and chickens and dogs can hear each other. Among them, people come and go for planting, and men and women dress like outsiders. Yellow hair hangs down, and they enjoy themselves
You can completely compare the scenery inside the Peach Blossom Spring with this section. Any shot is a beautiful scenery, and the free range rooster is like the one in a New Year's painting. A big red cockscomb, with shiny and smooth feathers all over its body, a chicken tail raised high, and long feathers hanging down, leisurely strolling and eating in the scenic area, with a proud and arrogant posture. However, Tao Yuanming did not come here, it was only later generations who discovered that this place was very similar to "The Peach Blossom Spring" and named it Peach Blossom Spring.
Differently, there is also a cave in the scenic area called Taigu Cave. If you want to go to Taikoo Cave, the scenic area requires you to enter before 3pm. The cave is 3.5km long and is one-way. The scorching sun outside the cave was 37 degrees, and there was no thermometer inside. However, I wore a coat and it was still cold, probably only 15 degrees. When I first entered the cave, it was not cool, but freezing. There are mountains and rivers inside the cave, with various shapes and colors of stalactites. It is not an exaggeration to describe the ancient cave and Peach Blossom Spring as changing scenery by moving steps.
From the Yuyang Peach Blossom Spring Scenic Area, enter Guizhou along the highway. The popular tourist destinations in Guizhou Province are very interesting. Apart from the provincial capital Guiyang in the center, the other places are just a circle away, which is the Guizhou Ring Road. I originally planned to enter Guizhou from Tongren, climb Mount Fanjing, and finally finish watching the Four Crossing of the Chishui River in Zunyi before leaving the province. Later on, I didn't go to either of these places. Fanjing Mountain was too crowded and I was advised to retreat on a hot day. Zunyi was affected by the epidemic and had to go again next time. Choose Tongren City as the first stop when entering Guizhou. I chose to have dinner at a popular Guizhou cuisine restaurant next to the city government, Tree Kitchen Authentic Guizhou Cuisine Restaurant. My friends, it was really delicious and exploded. I can't remember what dishes were there, but I remember quickly running out of food. I stayed in Wanshan District, Tongren at night. I thought there happened to be a water park across from here, but this water park closed at 8 pm?! I understand that water parks only play on summer evenings, right? Just to add, Mount Fanjing is still some distance away from the city center of Tongren. If you plan to climb Mount Fanjing, it is best to stay near the east gate of Mount Fanjing. Remember to book tickets for the east gate, because there are also Mount Fanjing and the west gate, both of which are not in the same county and far away. If you don't plan to go to Fanjing Mountain, you can drive for more than an hour to Zhenyuan Ancient Town and live there.
D5 Guizhou Tongren Zhaoxing Dong Village 314km 3.5h
We passed by Zhenyuan Ancient Town on the way, but we didn't go. The main reason was that we thought the Dong village we were going to was a more distinctive ancient village? Why didn't you go to the famous Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village? There are too many people here, we came on a happy trip, why do we have to squeeze people.
In Zhaoxing Dong Village, tourists' self driving cars are not allowed to enter and can only be parked in the tourist parking lot. They can take a scenic car or be picked up by a homestay car. We stayed in Dong village for two nights, but due to the high number of tourists during the peak season, we couldn't book a homestay for two consecutive nights (yes, yes, there are still many people here, and due to the summer vacation and peak tourism season, people flock everywhere), so we booked two homestays for one night each. One of them has a rice field outside the window sill; The other one is located in the center of the Dong village, making shopping very convenient. Most homestay owners are locals and very enthusiastic.
In the evening, we took a bus from the east of Dongzhai to another village on the mountaintop to watch the sunset. Perhaps we were lucky enough to see the rare beautiful scenery of both rainy and sunny days.
After a while, the rain cleared up and the smoke from the kitchen curled up, marveling at the beauty of nature. Returning to the Dong village in the evening, the main street is filled with tourists dressed in Dong ethnic costumes, checking in and taking photos, rubbing shoulders, and having a barbecue on the roadside. This is truly a vacation.
D6 Zhaoxing Dong Village
I spent the day playing in the Dong village. In the morning, I went to the west side of the village. There was a small street lined with small shops that rented Dong costumes. They cost 30 yuan each, and taking photos for one or two hours was enough. The boss can help you find travel photography, with prices ranging from 300 to 500.
At noon, you can have a fish in sour soup in the stockade, which has a unique taste. You can also go to Liao Fatty Rice noodles to have a bowl of crispy pork Rice noodles, or you can go to the roadside to have a barbecue dinner, which is delicious and explosive. By the way, when ordering in Guizhou, if you are not used to eating folded ear roots (Houttuynia cordata), be sure to inquire in advance whether the ingredients are included in the dish, and be sure to fold the ear roots in advance and say no.
There are many fun activities in the Dong village, such as experiencing tie dyeing, and in the evening, you can go fishing in the rice fields, roll up your pants, and fish in the mud and water of the rice fields. Don't miss it if you're taking children.
On the way back to Zhaizi Road, the parents next to them excitedly told their dad with their child, who had just finished fishing and was covered in mud, 'It's so fun! I'll come catch fish again next time.'.
D7 Zhaoxing Dongzhai Libo Xiaoqikong 193km 2.5h
Libo Xiaoqikong is known as the green belt of the earth. With a popular scenic spot and a large number of summer tourists, we chose to stay directly at the Ruijing Hotel inside the east gate of the scenic area. The price is not cheap, and booking a room comes with a ticket, but fortunately, it is convenient to play.
Because the ticket to Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area is valid for two days, you can enter the scenic area directly after arriving at the hotel in the afternoon. The Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area has two main gates, east and west. Although each scenic spot is relatively far away, it is very convenient to take transportation within the scenic area at any time.
Most group tourists enter through the west gate and exit through the east gate. We entered through the east gate at around 3pm and coincidentally collided with a large group of tourists who had finished their tour. The first attraction, Xiaoqikong Bridge, was already crowded with tourists and didn't stop much. We walked uphill for about 1.6km, passing by the Laya Waterfall and the 68 level waterfall, high mountains, waterfalls, and changing scenery. It was very satisfying, but unexpectedly, it was even more exaggerated when we arrived at the Cuigu Waterfall.
The waterfall flows out from the mountainside of the high mountain, passing through the big trees on the mountain and reaching the mountain lake. The lake water overflows and forms a huge water play area. The water flows over their feet, children engage in water gun battles, creating a natural water park. After the Cuigu Waterfall, we took a scenic car to Yuanyang Lake. The main activity here is rowing, with 4-6 people on iron boats. Due to the decrease in water level during summer, many places cannot be rowed over.
There are many people rowing boats, even though it's already five o'clock at Yuanyang Lake. When rowing, we still inevitably collide with other boats. For those who like rowing, it is recommended to go to Wolong Beach to play drifting.
D8 Libo Xiaoqikong Guiyang Qingyan Ancient Town 270km 3.5h
There are many scenic spots in the Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, which are difficult to explore in a day. The next morning, as the hotel was located in the scenic area, we arrived at Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge at 8 o'clock. At this time, the tour group bus was still at the west gate, so the Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge, which was very close to the east gate, was mostly occupied by hotel guests. Taking advantage of the sunrise, we could take a good look and take photos to check in.
Laya Waterfall no longer requires queuing for photos, it's very comfortable. It should be noted that there are some "perforated" bridges built on the river surface of the waterfall, so be sure to pay attention to safety. When I was at the La Ya Waterfall, a girl behind me accidentally fell into the river through the holes in the bridge. I, several tourists, and the safety officer pulled her up, luckily there was no danger and she was not injured. Also, take the scenic area bus from Shishang Forest Station to Shuishan Forest. Yesterday, we passed through this station due to overcrowding, but today we took advantage of the lack of people to walk through it again.
There is a trail in the forest, with a small stream beside it. Due to the low water level, many tree roots are exposed. Fortunately, there is hardly any sunlight along the way. Walking in the murmuring water and forest is quite comfortable as long as there are not many people.
Coming out of the Water Forest, at the request of my child, I went to the Cuigu Waterfall to brush and play in the water.
Next, we will go to Wolong Lake, which is the highest point in the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. Although the water flow is not large, the emerald green lake water is very beautiful.
Coming out of Libo Xiaoqikong, the traditional travel route can choose to go to the Chinese Eye in southern Guizhou, which is the world's largest radio telescope. However, after reading the reviews, it was found that although the Chinese Eye is very famous, the travel experience is average, and it is a bit far away, so we went directly to Qingyan Ancient Town in the south of Guiyang.
A friend recommended to me before that Qingyan Ancient Town is very comfortable. But when I arrived at Qingyan Ancient Town in the evening, I realized that the town is a scenic spot and I also need to buy tickets.
Qingyan Ancient Town used to be a military stronghold with many historical sites. However, the vast majority of streets are no different from the ancient towns today, selling unified Yiwu small commodities. The most distinctive dish is braised pork trotters. I didn't notice any significant difference, so if you come, I'll give it a try.
D9 Qingyan Ancient Town Guiyang City Huangguoshu Waterfall 165km 2.5h
Guizhou is located in the the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, a typical mountainous karst landform, 90% of which is mountainous. Along the way, you can walk on highways, either tunnels or bridges. Various super large bridges can be seen everywhere. Several of the world's top 10 bridges are in Guizhou. It is really a good place to see mountains and water. Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou province, and there are naturally many fun places to visit. However, we have booked tickets for Huangguoshu the next day, so we only have one day left for Guiyang. Following the usual tourist route, I went to Jiaxiu Tower in the morning, Qianling Mountain Park in the afternoon, and had lunch at Qingyun Market.
Jiaxiu Tower mainly focuses on history. It was first built on the Nanming River in the 26th year of the Ming Dynasty's Wanli reign (1598), using a huge stone in the river as the foundation for the building. It has been repeatedly repaired throughout history, and the existing building is a reconstruction relic from the first year of the Qing Dynasty's Xuantong reign (1909). Jiaxiu Tower is a witness to the history of Guiyang and a symbol of cultural development.
For lunch, we went to Qingyun Market not far away, which is a bit like the Yisu Society in Xi'an. There are many local delicacies here, and we chose to use a hotpot, which is a bit like teppanyaki. The dipping sauce is very Guizhou, and it's very spicy and satisfying. However, when I went to buy crispy pastries later, I realized that Minsheng Road is the local food gathering place that locals often go to. The famous Danjia Crispy Duck and Dingjia Crispy Whistle are all here.
Qianling Mountain Park was originally a leisurely place to find after lunch, but it turned out to be a treasure park located in the city, with mountains, water, and monkeys. The ticket is 5 yuan, and the one-way cableway is 20 yuan. You can overlook Guiyang from the mountaintop, and by the way, there will be monkeys accompanying you throughout the journey. When driving a hundred meters away from the west gate of the park, the child noticed a monkey on the tree. There are countless people sitting and daydreaming, waiting to be fed, fighting and playing, and sleeping on trees on the downhill road of the park. They can be seen everywhere.
It is said that there are thousands of monkeys in Qianling Mountain. The monkeys here are not as fierce as those in Emei Mountain. If you hold food in your hand, they will come up to you and wait to be fed. Occasionally, if you are in a hurry, they will climb onto your shoulders, but most of the time they are still very obedient. We went there in the afternoon and found that the monkeys were basically fed up. They were not very interested in what they were eating, but when they saw a water bottle, their eyes would go straight. The familiar technique is to unscrew the bottle cap and then drink water or beverage with a clang.
D10 Huangguoshu Waterfall - Anshun Ziyun County 100km 1.5h
Huangguoshu Waterfall is undoubtedly the most popular scenic spot in Guizhou. You can buy tickets in advance and stay near the scenic spot one day in advance. Huangguoshu Waterfall attracts a large number of tourists all year round, especially during summer vacation. The Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area actually includes three small scenic spots: the Great Waterfall, the Tianxing Bridge, and the Steep Slope Pond. All three are waterfalls, but they all feel different. In order to have fewer people, we entered the scenic area early in the morning and went to the Great Waterfall first.
Before I could see it, I had already heard the roaring sound of water. Up close, the momentum was like a rainbow, with a height of 77.8 meters and a width of 101 meters (the main waterfall is 67 meters high and 83.3 meters wide), ranking third in the world and first in Asia. The greatest experienced backpacker in history, Xu Xiake, sighed after watching and said: The waterfalls that Gaiyu saw were several times higher and more steep than ever before, and there was never such a wide and large one.
The white river water cascades down from the top of the cliff and rushes straight into the Rhinoceros Pool below, with water and stones colliding and a magnificent momentum; The water flow in the middle section splits into four parts and spreads across the entire cliff, making it wider and more beautiful. Next, we went to the lower half of Tianxing Bridge. Why is it the lower half? Because Tianxing Bridge is too long, the whole journey takes about 3 hours, which is too far. The lower half is quite interesting, with bridges on the bridge and caves.
The final silver chain waterfall is only over ten meters high, with a funnel-shaped top and a trough shaped pool at the bottom. The stone mounds raised on the edge of the pond resemble lotus leaves, interlocking and interlocking. The river water spreads evenly on each leaf, flowing freely like thousands of silver chains of all sizes, softly falling into the melting pool, forever endless. The Sancha River is divided into clusters of pearls by the calcareous beach and falls into deep pools, making it the most beautiful waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group.
This is not over yet. Although the steep slope pond waterfall is not big, it must be visited because it is the filming location for the ending scene of the 1986 version of Journey to the West.
There are actually many popular scenic spots around Huangguoshu Waterfall, such as Dragon Palace and Zhijin Cave, but they are all mainly karst caves. Just thinking that we have already been to the 3.5km karst cave in Youyang Peach Blossom Spring, we decisively turned to a niche attraction, Getu River. Staying in Ziyun County at night, there is a Pingba Quanniu restaurant on Getuhe East Road not far from the hotel. Although the environment seems ordinary and the storefront is not too big, it is really delicious and explosive.
The Double-flavor hot pot I ordered was supposed to be an ordinary hot pot, but actually it was a combination of fried beef jerky pot and clear soup pot. Dry pot beef, slightly spicy, with smaller cuts that are fragrant but not greasy, tender and have a bit of chewiness. It is spicy and refreshing, making it perfect for eating. Clear soup beef, with fresh meat and a mix of fat and lean, has a shiny and plump texture after being cooked. It tastes full of delicious meat without dipping in seasonings, without any fishy smell. I was very satisfied with it and praised it while eating. After finishing the beef, don't miss out on this delicious pot of beef soup. After a bowl of meat soup, take a quick bite and it feels so comfortable from the throat to the doorstep. It's so nourishing.
D11 Anshun Ziyun Getu River - Zigong, Sichuan 613km 6.5h
The most famous feature of Getu River Scenic Area is the two beams of light, the Heavenly God Light and the Earth God Light. The sunlight passes through the huge cave, but due to the angle of the light, it can only be seen in the morning.
However, when we rushed into the scenic area for the first wave early in the morning, the clouds were overcast, and the scenic area sister said that you probably wouldn't be able to see it today. Try it out, when you reach Yanzi Cave, there will be groups of swallows inside and outside the huge cave, no wonder it's called Yanzi Cave. Just as we were about to leave, the Earth God Light appeared.
The sunlight shines through the gaps in the clouds and enters the Swallow Cave. It's truly a magical scenery, and this trip is not worth it. Later, you can also take a boat to a primitive Miao village, where most of the people cannot understand Mandarin. Although this small village is within the scenic area, it still has a traditional way of life, raising pigs and chickens. It is estimated that there are not many tourists on a regular basis, and only a few have been converted into rural tourism. When the boat returned to Yanzi Cave, it was already noon and the swallows had already returned to their nests. However, inside the huge Yanzi Cave, there was actually a person dressed in red climbing.
This is a project in the scenic area, Spider Man, which starts crawling every hour from 11 o'clock. It can be seen that he has climbed up to a height of about 10 floors, and he is barefoot without any protective measures, which is heart wrenching. After reading the introduction, I learned that in ancient times, the Miao people migrated to the Ziyun Getu River area to avoid war. The ancestors of the Miao ethnic group thought of hanging coffins in order to one day bring their coffins back to their former hometown. After death, descendants were asked to store their coffins in high caves along the Getu River, giving rise to what is now known as' Spider Man '.
It is understood that the initial mission and mission of Spider Man was to send the coffin to the cliff for storage. Spider Man has always been a collaborative team of six people, each with different roles and responsibilities. Some are responsible for climbing to the cliff to select the location for storing coffins, driving wooden stakes or chiseling holes for placing coffins, while others are responsible for using vines and ropes to lift coffin components one by one onto the cliff for assembly; Some are responsible for carrying the body and placing it inside the coffin. Six people worked together to finally seal the coffin before completing the work.
At that time, the Miao people who settled down in Getu River still cared about their "hometown" in their hearts. On the one hand, in order to return to their hometown, and on the other hand, to hunt and resist foreign invasions, they searched everywhere for self-protection weapons. By chance, they discovered that there was natural saltpeter in the Yanzi Cave of Getu River, which was a good raw material for making gunpowder. So, in addition to placing the coffin on the cliff for storage, Spider Man had a second mission - to collect saltpeter from the rock walls and make gunpowder. It can be said that climbing cliffs with bare hands is a survival skill developed by the early Miao people to adapt to harsh living environments.
Originally, the last stop in Guizhou was planned to go to Zunyi to see the former site of the Zunyi Conference, the Four Crossing Chishui Memorial Hall, and Maotai Town. Unfortunately, due to the epidemic in Zunyi, we took a detour to Zigong, Sichuan. Arriving in Zigong, the sky has darkened and we have just caught up with the world of Chinese lanterns in Zigong. I have long heard that the lantern exhibition here is huge in scale and lifelike in appearance. Unfortunately, when I went to the door and requested a nucleic acid test report, our test results had not yet come out, so I had to come back the next day.
D12 Zigong, Sichuan
My family drove to Zigong once before, when my child was 4 years old and liked dinosaurs. Zigong has a large dinosaur fossil museum. Nowadays, Zigong has built a dinosaur themed Fantawild amusement park next to the Dinosaur Museum IP.
Entering the amusement park, you can travel back to Jurassic World in one second and be greeted by enthusiastic dinosaurs upon entering. There are a total of 39 projects available for one ticket to play here. You can travel with pterosaurs in the world of Dinosaur Island, follow the Light of Life to explore the mysteries of species origin, watch magic ball performances in the blue sky, explore the mystery of Sanxingdui's "sleeping for thousands of years, waking up to amaze the world" at the Bronze Festival, or search for traces of dinosaur existence with friends at the Center of the Earth Adventure, providing an immersive and immersive experience. If you're taking children, I recommend watching 'Boonie Bears: Return to the Jurassic'. The heartwarming and humorous plot will definitely be loved by children.
For those who enjoy excitement, go to projects such as swinging hammers, jumping machines, ceratopsian chariots, or crossing volcanoes to experience the adrenaline rush. The largest water entertainment project in the park, Brave Dinosaur Valley, is definitely not to be missed. Both it and the nearby jungle rafting require wearing raincoats to play, so you can bring your own if you don't want to spend money. Children under 120cm in height have a children's entertainment area, including skydiving towers, carousels, mini roller coasters, and dinosaur interactive activities. Children can participate in these activities, and those who want to play in the water world must remember to bring swimsuits. This area is more suitable for young babies to play in the water. There are also many food choices, all of which are authentic Sichuan cuisine, as well as cultural and creative ice cream and unlimited refills of drinks. However, due to the extreme heat in Zigong on that day, with a maximum temperature of 41 degrees, I had to finish all the outdoor large-scale projects before coming out. Leave some regrets and go again next time.
Zigong is also famous for its delicious food. Some netizens joked that no rabbit has ever left Zigong alive. Zigong is a city with a salt culture background, and its unique cuisine is also known as Dishes of Salt School. Choosing to stay at a hotel in the city at night, although it's not a new hotel, the service is really nice. The faint osmanthus flowers in the hotel are very comfortable. There is a famous Dishes of Salt School 200 meters downstairs. Delicious, large quantity. The waiter knew we were from out of town and the dishes we introduced were all great. They kept asking for feedback, and the experience was really great. I went to the Chinese Lantern World for the second time at night, but when I arrived at the door, I found no one and the lights were dark. As soon as I saw the notice at the entrance, the park will be closed starting today, probably due to the recent power shortage in Sichuan. Alright, leave some regrets.
D13 Zigong, Sichuan - Xi'an, Shaanxi 830km 9h
Go home.
The whole trip was really tiring and enjoyable. The continuous high temperature weather required extraordinary patience and perseverance to visit any scenic spot. However, throughout the journey, we adhered to the principle of "everything came" and tried our best to enjoy the local cuisine, see the local scenery, and experience the local history and culture.
Traveling and observing mountains is just a way to see more rivers and streams, and to realize that your knowledge is limited. To cultivate a peaceful understanding of people is simply to enable you to gain a deeper insight into the goodness, evil, and beauty of human nature, and to know what is right and wrong in your own heart. The path you take, the people you know. It is already an experience in itself. Every journey is beautiful, and every journey is a unique experience in life.
The total distance of this trip is about 4000km, covering mountains, bridges, playing in the water, catching fish and eating rabbit powder, watching waterfalls, walking through caves, and taking nucleic acid tests on roller coasters. If it weren't for the large number of people during the summer vacation and the need to book hotel tickets in advance, the entire journey could have been more comfortable and free. Some people say why do we need to drive ourselves? Isn't high-speed rail and airplanes fragrant? Actually, you will know it once you drive yourself. Self driving travel may be about enjoying the freedom on the road; Perhaps it's the pleasure of driving over mountains and valleys; Perhaps it's just a love for following your heart and exploring fun.
