Weekend trip to Chongqing

Two days is enough for me to be bored on the weekend. Two days of make-up vacation plus two days on weekends, which requires going out for a walk. Outside the window, there are blue water and green mountains. How to comfort life? Only mountains and rivers.

Chongqing has been there one after another over the years, all on business trips. The last in-depth swim should have been more than 20 years ago. At that time, I was so ignorant that I only paid attention to the situation in front of me. After so many years, I was no longer a teenager when I returned! Time flies.

High-speed rail is so convenient, book everything online and go out.

The service at Chongqing West Railway Station is still very good, and online ride-hailing is so organized and disciplined. Following the guidance of the waiter, the four people got into a car. The destination is Jiefangbei. After passing by Hongya Cave, which is an Internet celebrity attraction, I was curious to get off the bus. It is said that the night view of Hongya Cave is 90% similar to the scene of Hayao Miyazaki's cartoon "Spirited Away". Watching "Spirited Away" more than ten years ago, I felt so magical, fantasy and full of imagination. Many scenes felt like they had appeared in fantasies or dreams. It's daytime now, so I'll check in first. This is an antique building complex. I wonder what the towers, pavilions and pavilions will look like under the light at night.

Put down your bag first and go visit the Liberation Monument. Every city has a central pedestrian street, full of people in a hurry and rows of delicious food.

Internet celebrity hot and sour noodles, see how many people are there, hurry to queue up... As a Sichuanese, I also say it tastes too strong... Give up half of it.

On the way to Chaotianmen Wharf, I can occasionally see one or two "sticks" waiting for business in a lively corner. This is the human army that transported goods in the mountain city in the 1990s. Now, with the changes of the economic development era, their living space has been squeezed to the point where there is almost no place. I wonder what the lonely "Bang Bang" master was thinking... Life is not easy...

I have been to many cities with water features, and I will go on night ferries. The most famous one is Hong Kong's Victoria Port. The city at night is different from the day. The whistle of sailing, the cool breeze blowing the hair, and the dazzling light shows of the high-rise buildings on both sides of the strait make the city gorgeous and enchanting at night. It would be better if there were fewer people and they could sit on the side of the ship and enjoy it quietly.

Looking into the distance from Hongya Cave, it's a bit like what it looks like in a cartoon. I think it will be better taken by a professional camera.

After getting off the boat, you walk about one kilometer to Hongya Cave. The night is really different from the day. Crowds of people are rubbing their shoulders against each other, and there are many restaurants and wine shops, creating a prosperous scene. Thinking of the gluttonous feast in the cartoon, Xiao Qian's parents ate without care and turned into pig meat. People really cannot indulge their own appetite.

I walked to the Three Gorges Museum not far away in the morning. The weather was gray.

Chongqing Auditorium. Many middle-aged and elderly people are singing, dancing and exercising in the square. Opposite is the Three Gorges Museum.

The China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing records the great feats of the Chinese people to transform nature over the past few decades and make the Three Gorges benefit mankind. It has to praise and be proud of our nation. The most shocking thing is the record about trackers in the museum. On the riverside where hundreds of boats compete for the current and rapids and dangerous shoals sail against the water, the trackers either shout their voices or work hard, embedding the rope into their skin, bending their bodies into bows, and fighting with their tiny flesh and blood against powerful natural forces. This unyielding and tenacious spirit flowing in the blood of the nation has been passed down from generation to generation and has never yielded in the face of natural disasters or man-made disasters. This is our precious spiritual inheritance.

I met a primary school student working as a volunteer guide for tourists. The child was a little shy and timid, and the teacher and mother next to him had been encouraging her. I am very grateful to these teachers who teach. History and culture are the best education. Children are a blank sheet of paper and the hope and future of our nation.

I also saw many small objects. The iron box with the doll's head printed on it is exactly the same as my home when I was a child. It was used to hold biscuits. In that era of material scarcity, this made children yearn for it! I took a photo and sent it to my daughter in Beijing. She laughed and said,"It's so cool"!

The museums in every city are the soul of the city.

Go to Ciqikou Ancient Town in the afternoon. Due to Chongqing's special mountainous topography, subways either run underground, on the ground, or through buildings, so it is more appropriate to call them light rail. Sitting on the light rail and overlooking the city, you will have a magnificent scene.

Maybe I came at the wrong time, the so-called ancient town is crowded with people... Shouldn't the ancient town wander on the bluestone slabs in the sunset, greet the grandfather carrying melons and fruits across the street, and tease the cats lounging in the sun?... I came wrong.

What makes people's eyes shine is this "Jinximei", which some farmers carry baskets and sell. The colors are so bright that people don't think they are real. Think about it and try it out... So it's just preserved fruit... What's ridiculous is that there were several Northeast men walking in front of me, each holding a red fruit in his hand and saying,"It's too sweet" as they walked!... Haha, there are also people who are just as deceived as me...😄

It's almost time. Take the sightseeing bus from Guzhen to West Railway Station and go home on the high-speed train. Goodbye Chongqing! I wish you better and better!
