Xiongguan, the Bird Road in Weishan, Dali, is the earliest and oldest bird road! You can easily visit 8 kilometers on foot.

Reasons for walking on Niaodao Xiongguan:

Dali's unique natural environment has always been the throat of various migratory birds. I once went hiking on Niaodiao Mountain in Eryuan County four times within a month due to the beautiful scenery. Among them, the travel note on the first hiking trip to Niaodiao Mountain,"Dali Niaodiao Mountain, a place where hundreds of birds worship the phoenix, have you been there?" I once won the reward of the Qingyun Graphic Plan.

During the hiking trip to Niaodiao Mountain in Eryuan County, many friends once talked about the legendary story of Xiongguan Pass on Niaodao Road in Weishan County, and always had the wish to go for a hiking trip.

On the weekend of September 12, Red Star Outdoor organized a hiking trip on Weishan Bird Road Xiongguan, which just realized my wish, so I signed up for this hiking trip on Bird Road Xiongguan Road.

Hiking experience in Xiongguan of Niaodao:

1. At 8:30 a.m. at the Xiaguan Weishan Crossing, all hikers were assembled. Seven vehicles and 36 people marched towards the destination of Niaodao Xiongguan. Pass by National Highway 215 for about 50 kilometers, turn left from a traffic light intersection into Xiannan Highway, turn into Miwei Line, go up the mountain to the entrance of Xiongguan Archway on Niaodao. After stopping at 10:30, you will start the hiking journey of Xiongguan on Niaodao.

2. Walk from the gate of the archway to the gate of Wulipo Forest Farm. The road is a rock-climbing road and is wide enough to allow only a single vehicle to pass through. The altitude climb is not large. The vegetation along the way is very dense. Walking on the waist of the middle of the mountain, the vision is not too wide, and occasionally you can See the dam of Weishan County. The hiking team all the way, talking and laughing, easily reached the gate of the forest farm. At this time, the track record was only 3 kilometers.

3. Turn to the right from the forest farm entrance and go up the mountain and enter the winding path. Through the woods, there are tall trees on both sides of the path. Although it was already autumn, I originally thought it would be a scene of yellow flowers falling, but I didn't expect it to be full of greenery here, and the wild flowers on the roadside were still in full bloom.

4. Walking at the forefront is the eldest brother "Lao Zhe", holding a camera and leading a dog. In order to learn more photography techniques from him, I followed closely and finally asked him for some tips in a small open area. Some wild flowers are in full bloom here, which is a good place to take photos. Puppies are smart and energetic. When eldest brother is taking pictures, if anyone interferes with his taking pictures, the dog will make a sound to maintain order.

It seems that taking good photos requires not only more practice, but also a good atmosphere。

5. Hiking in the lush green forest, the morning dew on the roadside occasionally touches your feet, and your body is in a state of emptiness and feels very loose and light. Although the altitude has climbed slightly and I have been walking forward, I don't feel tired at all. Unconsciously, I arrived at the stone tablet of Xiongguan on Niaodao at 12:00. I only walked 4 kilometers after reading the trajectory record.

Where the stone tablet was erected, a long and narrow V-shaped valley appeared in front of us, which really had the majestic momentum of one man dominating the pass and not being able to open it to thousands of people. Hiking friends who love beauty put on various POSS and enjoy the joy. According to records, on Longqing Pass at an altitude of 2700 meters, there stands a stone tablet engraved with four powerful Wei characters: "Bird Road Xiongguan". The stone tablet was written in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and this is the position.

After expert research, this is the only stone tablet found so far in the world, and it is also the earliest and oldest stone tablet recorded on the "Bird Road". This stone carving witnesses that this is both a post road of the ancient Southwest Silk Road and a throat passage for migratory birds.

6. On the way back from Xiongguan on Niaodao, picking up garbage along the way has always been a fine tradition of Red Star Outdoor. This hiking trip to Xiongguan on Niaodao is no exception. This is a beautiful moment photographed by a traveling friend of the enthusiastic "Sister Wang" beauty, the long-legged "proud snow" beauty, and the "wolf dog" eldest brother who is "burdened", collecting garbage everywhere and going down the mountain. Of course, there are still many people who silently act as environmental guardians. When eating halfway to replenish their strength, everyone will have one or more garbage bags in their backpacks, which are all garbage they produce or collected along the way.

On an outdoor hiking trip, you consciously take the garbage you produce down the mountain, and do your best to collect the garbage along the way and go down the mountain. Every traveler who travels outdoors adds bricks and tiles to the green waters and green mountains, and the environment will become more and more beautiful.

7. After going down the mountain, relax at the Huaguoshan Leisure Park opened by the home of a donkey friend in Weishan. After the dinner, you will return to Xiaguan. After sending off the bus, the passengers on the bus safely returned to Yuanwuwei B & B at 20:00 to end this hiking trip on the bird trail Xiongguan.

Summary of Hiking at Xiongguan on Niaodao:

1. Drive from Xiaguan along the National Highway 215 for about 50 kilometers and the Miwei Line for about 15 kilometers to reach the entrance of Xiongguan on Niaodao, which takes about 2 hours. The round-trip walking distance is about 8 kilometers, and the height difference is about 200 meters. The difficulty of walking is average, and the whole process is very easy and free.

2. When we were on this trip to Xiongguan of Niaodao, the Miwei Line was under construction. There were many potholes on the road and it was difficult for cars to pass through. In the future, if friends go to Niaodao Xiongguan, remember to check the latest road traffic and control conditions to avoid delaying the trip.
