For breakfast, I still had rice noodles at the restaurant next door. After checking out at 8 o'clock, I took two taxis to Dali Railway Station. In the morning and when people in Dali get up late, taxis were difficult to get, so enough time should be left. The second train finally arrived at the railway station at 8:40, picked up the ticket and entered the station, and took the 9:05 bullet train to Chuxiong. Arrive in Chuxiong after 10 o'clock, and then take the 10:30 special train to Chuxiong Passenger Station. It is 10 yuan per person. Take the long-distance bus at 11:00 and arrive at Yuanmou Passenger Terminal in 2 hours. At the bus terminal canteen, I negotiated with the store owner about chartering a car to Langbapu Tulin, and bought some snacks for lunch. The journey must be tough.

The driver came and took us to Yuju Hotel first. We booked the room and stored our luggage. We set off for Langbapu Tuber Forest before 3 p.m.. We walked the dirt road all the way, and the road conditions were not very good. We arrived at Langbapu Tuber Forest at 4 p.m.

Buy a ticket to enter the scenic spot, take a tour bus to the Observation Deck of Scenic Spot No. 4, then go all the way 4--3--2--1, get up from under the Observation Deck No. 1 and take a tour bus out. The whole journey takes 2 and a half hours on foot. It is already sunset when you come out. It was past 8 o'clock in the evening when I returned to the county, and I had dinner again. It was already past 10 o'clock when I returned to the hotel to rest.

Langbapu Soil Forest is also known as Xinhua Soil Forest. It is located in Xinhua Township, 33 kilometers west of Yuanmou County, 15 kilometers away from Banguo Soil Forest, and is located at the junction of Yuanmou, Dayao and Mouding Counties. It is 1,560 - 1,640 meters above sea level and covers an area of 1.4 square kilometers. It is a special geomorphological form eroded by flowing water and a special lithologic combination. It is formed under the mutual influence of comprehensive factors such as frequent tectonic movements, climate, and neotectonic movements, rapid rate of crustal uplift, and strong erosion by flowing water. It develops in lacustrine deposits in fine sand layers and clay layers sandwiched by a small amount of fine gravel layers.
The soil forest is tall and dense, with complete types. The conical soil column is particularly well developed, generally ranging from 8 to 25 meters high, with a maximum of 42.8 meters, ranking first among the individual soil columns in the Yuanmou soil forest. There are many shapes in shape such as cone shape, peak cluster shape, snow peak shape, and city wall shape. The snow-capped soil forest is large in scale, reaching a height of 40 meters; in terms of color, the top is mainly purple-red, the middle and upper parts are gray, and the middle and lower parts are yellow as the keynote. There are brown-red, gray, brown-black, cherry red and other colors in between.

When viewed from a distance, the Langbapu soil forest in Yuanmou, Yunnan Province is like a magnificent palace. When you are in it, it is as if you are facing an ancient dream, and the feeling of "thinking about the long journey of heaven and earth, crying alone in sorrow" arises spontaneously. Looking closer, some look like majestic warriors, ready to go, some earth pillars are like cones and swords, pointing straight at the blue sky; some are like pavilion girls, gazing into the distance; some are like figures, animals, and birds; some are like the Great Wall, with earth pillars standing tall and straight, like Hua Biao or giant bamboo shoots. Some earthen pillars are overgrown with weeds or wild flowers; some are built with sand and gravel, exposing their bodies... Of course, various forms of earthen pillars are mixed, which makes the earthen forest colorful and varied. The endless attitude is amazing. Looking at the clouds, it is lifelike and lifelike. The various shapes seem to bring people into another novel world. At dusk, Tuzhu looked like white-haired old people, silently watching the people in Langbapu.

The mountains around the Langbapu soil forest are relatively slow. The mountains are full of young Yunnan pine trees and green all year round, cattle and sheep cover the slopes, and the villages are sparse. A Liusha River meandered from the middle of the soil forest to Langbapu Reservoir, like a dancing silver-green ribbon, shining in the sun.

Several miniature rice fields with irregular edges are like mirrors, reflecting the spectacular scenery of blue sky, white clouds and earthen forests. Put your luggage on the car and leave for Wumao Tulin at 8 o'clock. Arrive at 8:45. It is still early. There are very few people. The driver parked the car in the parking lot, and we bought tickets to enter. Since we were older, we chose to take a tour bus to the highest observation deck, which would save more effort when walking from top to bottom.

Yunnan soil forests are widely distributed, among which Wumao soil forests, Banguo soil forests and Langbapu soil forests in Yuanmou County are the best. It is called the "Three Forests of Yunnan" together with the Luliang colored sarin and the Lunan stone forest. Yuanmou's lush soil forest is located in Yuanmou County, 32 kilometers away from the county seat. It is a must-visit place.

Soil forests are a special form of lost landform, a strange natural geographical phenomenon, formed by comprehensive factors such as vastly different terrain structures, constituent materials, structural movements, hydrology and climate, soil mass forces and hydrodynamic forces.
