Vehicles outside Shuanglang Ancient Town cannot enter, so online ride-hailing cars can only be parked at the entrance. The homestay butlers are received at the entrance of the ancient town. The B & B is very close to the north entrance of the ancient town and diagonally opposite the sightseeing station. Shuanglang Ancient Town is only a main street, and there is not much time to stroll from north to south. After settling in my luggage, I walked all the way from the B & B to the dock, passing by the restaurant recommended by the B & B housekeeper and had lunch.

Chongsheng Temple Three Pagoda Scenic Area: covers an area of 1000 acres and is divided into two parts: the front area is centered on the three towers, and the attractions mainly include the three towers, Nanzhao Jianji Bell and Yutong Guanyin Hall; the back area is Chongsheng Temple, known as the first temple of Han Buddhism. The three towers of Chongsheng Temple stand tall. The large tower in the middle is called the Chihiro Tower. The actual height of Chihiro Tower is 69.13 meters. It was built during the Nanzhao State of the Tang Dynasty (833 - 840 AD). It is a square dense eaves hollow brick tower with a total of 16 levels, and a wooden ladder spirals up in the center of the tower. The two small towers in the north and south, with a conical outline, are typical architectural styles of the Song Dynasty. They are octagonal pavilions-style 10-level brick towers. The eaves of each tower are built with arched arches, flat seats and pagor-shaped niches of different shapes that simulate wooden buildings. The tower body has embossed such as Buddha statues, lotus flowers, and vases, with different layers. The two small towers are 70 meters away from the large tower, and the three towers are distributed in an isosceles triangle. Historically, Chongsheng Temple was built during the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty. It was expanded over the past dynasties and reached its peak during the Dali Kingdom of the Song Dynasty. According to historical records, in its peak period, Chongsheng Temple had a base of seven miles, with 890 houses, 11,400 Buddhas, 4,550 bushels of copper, and three pavilions, seven floors, nine halls, and hundreds of mansions."The scale of the temple can be seen. Due to the great popularity of Buddhism during the Dali State period, Dali State was also known as the "Miaoxiang Buddha Country". Nine of the 22 kings of Dali became monks in Chongsheng Temple. At that time, Chongsheng Temple was the center of Buddhist culture in the entire Dali State and even the entire Southeast Asia, so it was called the "Buddha Capital".

It is cloudy and rainy today, and the ancient city of Dali is crowded with tourists. The main streets and alleys are already very crowded. Fortunately, I took a sightseeing bus first and I had a rough understanding of the basic attractions. The ancient city of Dali has a strong commercial atmosphere. I am a little disappointed and I am afraid I will not come again. I thought that the tavern would open to welcome guests at night, and it would be a different scene, but we didn't stay here and couldn't enjoy it.

Due to traffic jams, it took 3 hours to return from the ancient city of Dali to Shuanglang Ancient Town. However, from Shanhai Bay Hotel, it was a coastal highway.
