Written before the trip

When mentioning Dali, Yunnan, many people immediately think of the Six-Vein Sword of the Duan Dynasty; the ancient city of Dali where "a river surrounds Cangshan and Cangshan embraces the ancient city"; the romantic and beautiful Cangshan Snow and Erhai Moon;

However, the first two scenes in Dali's "Wind, Flowers, Snow and Moon", Shangguanhua and Xiaguanfeng in Mr. Cao Jinghua's works are not as famous as the first two. As the "back garden of Dali" that tourists rarely visit, the Shimen Pass of the Cangshan Grand Canyon may be the most suitable pearl for us to discover this holiday. Yunnan, where flowers are invincible all year round, allows me to seize the small tail of spring in today's late spring season and be a "flower watcher" again.

Dali Cangshan Shimenguan Tourist Resort is a national 4A-level tourist attraction located in Cangshan West Town, Yangbi County, Dali Prefecture. Shimenguan is a key pass through the famous Tea-Horse Ancient Road, Bonan Ancient Road, Yanmi Ancient Road and Yunnan-Myanmar Highway in history. It has ancient temples, ancient pagodas, ancient cliff paintings, ancient plank roads, and a mountain where Buddhism, Taoism, and Islam gather three religions. Multiple cultures.

Yangbi has a long history and splendid culture. As early as the Neolithic period, ancestors flourished and lived. Yangbi is recorded as "Xiangbei" in ancient classics. It is one of the birthplaces of Nanzhao. It is the place where the Yi people and many ethnic minorities live and rise. The ancient cliff paintings of Cangshan Mountain in the territory are called "the source of Canger Culture" by historians.

This niche secret area called Dali Back Garden not only hides a fairy tale lawn, but also happened to coincide with the opening of the first Wind Chimes Festival. The oil-paper umbrellas under the promenade and the wind chimes by the eaves sway in the wind, creating a beautiful fairyland!

Trip overview

Day 1: Shimenguan Bonfire Party Area-Xingyue Check-in Point-B & B

Day 2: Shimenguan Food City-Riyue Lake-Deadwood Fortress-Glass Plank Road-Yunshang Village

Cuisine: Riyue Lake Restaurant, Shimenguan Food City

Accommodation: Foguo Mountain Residence

Traveling through the dust, we rush to the bonfires and hot springs of Shimenguan

Our first stop at Shimenguan was our encounter with the bonfire party of Shimenguan Food City.

It took more than an hour to reach the Foguo Mountain Residence Hotel in Shimenguan by car from the airport.

The environment of the hotel is very elegant, with exquisite wooden tables and chairs, soft sofas, quiet music, and the warm sunshine is very comfortable. It is rare to be comfortable and satisfied. Have a cup of coffee, read a book, be in a daze, and appreciate a kind of tranquility in the passing of time; or stroll quietly, maybe you will accidentally turn around and you will meet smiling locals and greet them warmly.

Pack up your bags and check in, open the door. In the simple and comfortable indoor environment, the beige sheets carry a sense of warmth and soft touch, ironing every inch of skin, making you can't help but want to lie in bed and sleep soundly. Get a good night's sleep.

Thinking that it was still early, I went to Riyue Lake Restaurant with my friends for dinner. I have been to Dali a few times, and I almost always ordered some random snacks to cope with it. This time, I haven't eaten Dali's local specialties for a long time. The exquisite dishes were served one by one, and they immediately attracted everyone's attention., both local customs and exquisite petty bourgeoisie ~

It was getting late, and I was hanging out on the roadside after dinner. I and my best friends were waiting for the bonfire party they were longing for. Flowers and plants grew wantonly on both sides of the path, and occasionally a few new buds would stick out from the branches, which added a little flavor to Dali in early spring.

When you come to Shimenguan, how can you not experience a hot spring? You can reach the open-air hot springs here just two steps up the mountain. It comes from the naturally formed sulfur and carbonate mixed spring 600 meters underground in the Cangshan Mountains. It is so pleasant to enjoy the Cangshan Mountains and soak in the hot springs!

The ancient cloud said,"The spring water is boiling and clear, the immortal source grows from the red sand far away, the foam is thick and the moon is filled with spiritual liquid, and the microwaves and waves flow through the cong." In these busy times, it is increasingly difficult for people to find a moment that truly allows their hearts to rest for a moment. Perhaps many times, the purpose of our travel is not to find a specific place, but to discover ourselves while walking. After a quick trip, it is better to explore the "philosophy of life" in the warm spring water. After having a full meal and wine, making a beautiful soup is just so much for you to enjoy yourself when you are satisfied with life?

At night, the lanterns are littered with red light, reflecting the entire soup pond, making it more leisurely and comfortable.

If you have ever been curious about the Torch Festival, why not come to the bonfire party here to experience the daily Dali ethnic customs. A bonfire is lit every evening in Shimenguan Food City.

Bonfires, barbecues, dancing... the twinkling stars in the night sky and the free and easy laughter of your brothers and sisters make you feel like you are in a dream. The blockages and blockages of the city are swept away in the spinning and jumping.

In a trance, you seem to be pulled into ancient times. Perhaps the ancestors of that time also surrounded the fire. Under the protection of the fire, they murmured in their hearts that the weather would be smooth and there would be no disease or disaster. They stared passionately and affectionately at the burning fire, with crackling sparks in their ears, and the sacrificial songs passed down from generations to generations are sung loudly in their throats... This is the spark of human civilization that suddenly flashed in the boundless darkness, and the flames are getting stronger and stronger, and the flames continue to spread. Mars meets with the stars in the sky, creating endless human beings in the self-purification and unity of spirit and flesh.

This closeness to fire is related to the native worship of ethnic minorities. Many ethnic minorities in Yunnan regard fire as their god. The Yi, Bai, Naxi, Lahu and other ethnic groups all have their own Torch Festival. It is an ancient festival of the nation and is called the "Oriental Carnival". At the same time, it also has another name that I prefer-"Star Festival".

During the Torch Festival, people eat barbecues, light flames with pine branches, run around the fire with a fire handle in hand, pray for the elimination of pests and diseases, and pray for good harvests every year. The enthusiastic crowd surrounded the torches into piles of bonfires, and thousands of people danced the "Big Sanxian" dance by the fire.

There are also Internet celebrity Xingyue check-in points here. They are very close and are all in the same area. It takes about 5 minutes to walk. It is very suitable for young ladies to come and dance with Xingyue. Don't forget to take a photo of one or two when you leave. Take one or two fairy photos home ~

Because we are backed by Cangshan Mountain, the "big love" put together by two mountains and lights has become the most beautiful decoration in the night scene ~

When the fuzzy light strips blend with the real stone steps and paths, softening the distinctive corners and curves of reinforced concrete, every inconspicuous corner hides the romantic style unique to Dali.

In Yunshang Village, encounter a sea of treasures

Tao Yuanming once described such a paradise in his works: "The land is flat and vast, and the houses are like good fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry and bamboo trees. Traffic along the paths, chickens and dogs hear each other. Among them, men and women dress like outsiders. His yellow hair hangs down, and he is happy. "Perhaps only Tao Yuanming knows whether the Peach Blossom Spring exists only in Tao Yuanming's ideals or it really exists, but the" walnut source outside the world "belongs to the small village deep in Shimenguan-Yunshang Village.

It is located in Guangming Village, Cangshan West Town, Yangbi County, Dali City. It is located in the hinterland of the west slope of Cangshan Mountain. Because of its altitude of more than 2000 meters, it is called "Yunshang Village." If you look up, you will see the rolling sea of clouds, and if you look down, you will see the vast world. Most of the walnuts in Guangming Village and the mountains are ancient trees. They take root at the foot of Cangshan Mountain and have grown silently for decades or even hundreds of years.

The oldest walnut tree at the head of the village must have been growing for hundreds or even thousands of years. Perhaps it began to garrison here before Guangming Village existed. In countless mornings and drowsiness, in the endless rising and falling of the sun and the moon, it has lived itself into a village god, a symbol of annual rings. The layers of moss on the ancient mottled branches are proof of this.

This small village with a poetic name not only has tens of thousands of acres of walnut forest and a thousand-year-old walnut tree king, but also has a wide variety of flowers-four theme gardens in spring, summer, autumn and winter. In the spring garden, the tail and anemone are planted; in the summer garden, there are large flower hydrangea, conical hydrangea, and tree hydrangea; in the autumn garden, ginkgo and sage are planted; in the winter garden, alpine rhododendrons and Yunnan camellia are planted. You can have its unique scenery at any time.

Walking slowly up the stairs in Yunshang Village, what you can see in addition to the green walnut forest around you, are all kinds of flowers competing for beauty in the shade of the trees. The tricolor pansy with its own charm; the hydrangea with huge buds and shyly dew; the iris with intoxicating blue; the anemone that blooms white and holy; the slender purple flowers... On the way, I watched the flowers depicted in the book bloom wantonly with the most overflowing vitality, and my joy is beyond words. But what I will never forget the most is the roses here.

It's not yet summer, and now is the time for roses to be in full bloom. Roses of all colors gather together, as if they are in a dream fairy tale. It's so beautiful!

Shakespeare once said: "Rose is beautiful, but what is more beautiful is its fragrance." Being in the sea of flowers, you enjoy not only the pleasure of vision, but also the feast of smell. The graceful scent of roses is ubiquitous, and the noble and long-lasting fragrance envelopes your entire body. When you leave, it seems that even your memories are filled with fragrance.

Various roses on the road were blooming proudly and reservedly. I wonder which one was the little prince's rose? Perhaps your roses are also here waiting to meet you.

It's an unexpected pleasure to meet Hayao Miyazaki's fairy tale lawn

When we came out of Yunshang Village, we came across a fairy tale lawn similar to Hayao Miyazaki.

The green lawn and large white clouds in the blue sky seem to be able to touch the vision of your childhood with just reaching out, making you instantly dream of the Miyazaki sun full of wind in "The Wind Rises". Let the aroma of grass cure your happiness and unhappiness, and "recharge" yourself well ~

You can bring a drawing board and a white umbrella and be a person in a cartoon;

You can also bring a picnic cloth and have a romantic date with Haruhi ~

Shimen ringtone, the most exciting sound of this holiday is here

I wonder what people think of wind chimes? I like things like wind chimes very much. The simple composition allows the wind to reveal its secrets that have been buried for a long time. In ancient times, people hung up a wind chime and used the sound of "wind blowing jade vibration" to warn themselves, calm down, cultivate their nature, or pray for peace.

This time, we happened to coincide with the opening of the first Wind Chimes Festival at Shimen Pass in Cangshan, Dali. We walked along the way, oil-paper umbrellas of various shapes and colors on the beams and shelves swayed gently in the wind. Together with the short books of wind chimes hanging by the eaves, the gathered ring tones are like songs of the valley, composing their own music with the increase and decrease of the wind, covering the upcoming summer with a layer of cool gauze. Perhaps this kind of scene is suitable for a red dress and a pot of turbid wine, drinking wine in the breeze, or tilting your head to enjoy the unassuming morning sunshine. I wonder if the oil-paper umbrella hanging now will usher in a lilac in the future?

Yu Guangzhong once wrote such a beautiful poem in "Wind Chimes":"Just because my heart is high and low wind chimes/exhorting/one after another/knocking on a person's name."

The wind from Xiaguan blows Shangguan flowers. Although I couldn't go to Xiaguan Longweiguan to experience the wind of Dali during this trip, the crisp sound of the wind chimes seemed to be telling the story of Dali's splendid culture and glory for thousands of years. The past has become nothing, and in a moment of fantasy, the emperor's hegemony has long gone with Jiangdong, but the bell still remains as crisp and clean as it was then.

Little tip: The Wind Chimes Festival lasts until the end of June. If you want to go, remember to come early.

The stone gate is opened in the sky, and it is steep and unique. It is beautiful.

There is a vermilion Fuyuan Bridge before entering the pass. Don't forget to come and take a walk and experience the spirit and blessings of Shimen Pass. Behind them are two gates of Cangshan facing each other. When the weather is clear, fried chicken comes out!

Crossing the vermilion Fuyuan Bridge, what comes into view is two peaks facing each other. They are majestic and majestic, as if they were a gate set up by a celestial deity for the garden of the heaven, revealing only a V-shaped pass. Therefore, it is named "Shimen Pass", which means "Tiankai Shimen".

Standing at the gate of Shimen Pass and looking up, the Shimen Pass where the sloping peak enters the clouds is a narrow gap. The huge peak spans across, like a gatekeeper, with the momentum of "one man is at the pass, but ten thousand people are not able to open it"; look up at the top of the pass, the blue sky is like a jade belt arched by green mountains, making people only feel the greatness of nature and the insignificance of mankind when they stop.

Yang Younan, a local gentleman in the Qing Dynasty, once wrote in a poem: "The stone door is leaning against the back of the blue horse, and the steep walls are verdant and green. The two peaks and large pillars stand steeply, and the uneven peaks are screened out. It is difficult for wild birds to fly through the forest, but it is like going back to the mountain monk."

Xing Zixuan, a poet of the Republic of China, once lamented when he visited Shimenguan: "When I return, wild flowers are fragrant, and the breeze warms my clothes. The mountains and rivers of Mo Dao's Ancient Garden are beautiful, and the beauty of Shimen is best in southern Yunnan."

A generation of heroic ruler Kublai Khan once formed a strange army here, crossed Shimenguan to attack and destroy the Dali State, making it abandon the city and flee. We don't know how many people come and go these two peaks have witnessed, and how many stars have shifted. However, most of the ancients were unable to explore deeper because of the dangerous terrain. Today, we can enjoy the scenery while safe, which only makes people feel lucky.

Sun, moon and lake light, dead wood fortress rest among trees

The first stop on entering Shimenguan is Riyue Lake-"The sun in the sky is like the moon, and the moon in the sky is like the sun. Why are the sun and the moon the same? Love the day and the night..."This place is very suitable for couples who like to travel and play. The blue water waves and the fish that seem to have nowhere to rely on inside add a touch of tenderness to the two twin peaks, as if they are a couple of inseparable lovers. Looking at each other from afar. The vanishing point of the lake water extends to the entrance of the gorge, forming a line with the blue sky. The gentle lines become the best background board. The sides of the bridge are also very suitable for placing flowers and fruits rich in ins wind for shooting. You don't need any filters, all you see is a P-free blockbuster.

As an undeveloped "virgin land", Shimenguan is sparsely populated and is most suitable for intimate whispers between couples. Let the green mountains and clear waters become your eternal witnesses ~

Continue walking forward and pass through the Wudaoshui Service Area. You will find the location of the Deadwood Fortress. Deadwood Fortress, as the name suggests, has the shape of huge dead trees placed across the ground. As soon as it enters, a huge tree branch supports the waterfall and exits, forming a "waterfall gate" that is perfectly integrated with nature. If you want to take a panoramic view of the mountains and rivers from a distance, you won't feel that the human atmosphere seems too abrupt in the jungle.

There is also a shelf covered with vines in the Deadwood Fortress. It is covered with red ribbons for blessing, swaying gently with the breeze. Occasionally, local people walked by slowly leading cattle, giving a leisurely holiday.

Among the dead trees are tables and chairs for tourists to rest and Ministores providing drinks and food. It is very suitable for repacking and taking a break and going on the road again. There is a feeling of adventure when shuttling among dead trees, especially when looking out from the clear gap between dead trees and the "Clear Spring Stone Flowing", listening to the singing of birds and the rustling of walnut trees outside. It is very interesting. It makes people just want to take a break in this lazy afternoon, and their hearts are filled with inexplicable peace and tranquility.

Comments on the glass plank road, above the rainbow in the south of the colorful clouds

After leaving the Deadwood Fortress, we crossed the Wanshou Valley and two bifurcated entrances appeared. The one on the left side leads to the rest pavilion. Here, you can feel it up close as if you were dumping from a fairy pot, splashing layer upon layer. The Qidaoshui Waterfall on the rocks, you can also choose the right hand side to slowly approach and feel it during the journey.

Watching along the way, you can find the most vivid expression of these poetic names in Shimuan Gate, the late bell of Fuguo, the clear empty valley, the orchids in the cliff stream, and the forgotten return of Xia guests... you can find the most vivid expression in Shimuan Pass. When the clear spring water flows, it also takes away your tiredness. The running water is happy because of the stone and mixes with the sound of birds to play a wonderful concerto. The vines in the mountains climb up and change the scenery. There are waterfalls with the momentum of "falling springs in the void and straight mountains". There are the beautiful legendary fairy clothes drying stones and sliding ponds. The strange rocks are jagged, the fog rises, the valley is roaring, and the branches on both sides are madly sticking out the branches, as if they want to be full of the branches opposite them. There are beautiful scenery that can be used as a computer desktop everywhere.

The Shimen Tiantian ancient plank road runs straight up the wall and winds around, with a total length of 1550 meters. Among them, there is an 82-meter glass plank road, 12 meters more than the first brother in Zhangjiajie in the glass plank road.

Walking among the clouds, I touch uneven rocks at my hand, and I step on clear streams that pass through the gorges like a white belt. The sound of birds in the distance is looming, and white clouds surround it and changes unpredictable. It is like a light gauze slowly climbing up a rock, but suddenly it disappears again, as if it was pulled by a hand that has never been visible. People can't help but sigh,"Walking in the mountains, the scenery moves in the clouds.

"At the same time, the side rails of the plank road are also made of glass, which not only gives you the most thrilling all-round hanging experience, but also suitable for taking a few beautiful photos to retain the beautiful moments here. Why don't you have a crazy walk here and taste the freedom of "Lingbo Micro Step".

82 meters is still exciting. Mom and Dad can bring their babies here to try their courage. Friends who like thrills should not miss this only high-altitude glass plank road in the southwest. If you are a little afraid of heights, don't worry. The glass plank road is only on the top plank road. You can choose another bifurcated road to go down the mountain without affecting the journey.

There is another unique thing in Shimen Pass. It is an original magic toilet that "thought it was a tourist attraction before entering, but only discovered it was a toilet after entering." Every other part of the journey, there is a well-disguised toilet waiting for you to "explore". It is simply a little egg on the journey. Who would have thought toilets could be so interesting?

Cave toilets. When you walk through the canyon along the stream to enjoy the beautiful scenery, if you suddenly find a cave by the water, you don't have to be surprised why there is no sign telling you what attraction it is. Then you must have seen the cave toilet!

The appearance of this cave toilet is built against the mountain. The beautiful interior lights are on the rock wall. It is extremely dreamy, making you worth every minute of the ticket price. It is definitely a "must-go" Internet celebrity check-in toilet. It's over ~
