July is the home field of lotus flowers, and the appearance of azaleas is particularly unusual at this time, so it is very much expected.
Climbing chicken feet and enjoying flowers in July and August seems to have become an annual convention. Before and after the rhododendrons bloom, many people have paid attention to the flowering period and weather, just to see the style of rhododendrons in Jizu Mountain.
The flower-chasing trip to Jizu Mountain in Binchuan, Dali officially begins!
As a famous historical mountain, Jizu Mountain is characterized by scenery and ancient temples all over the mountain. The mountain is very large. The ancient temples and scenic spots are mostly connected by small roads, so walking is the best way to visit.
The ancient temples in Jizu Mountain are widely distributed, from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. On the contrary, most azaleas bloom on the top of the mountain and halfway up the mountain. Therefore, although the tour of Jizu Mountain has azaleas as the core, the journey starts from the ancient temples.
After driving past the "Lingshan One Moment" plaque on Jizu Mountain, you have entered the range of Jizu Mountain. Not far from the mountain gate is the first ancient temple to enter the mountain-Zhusheng Temple. It is also the best preserved ancient temple in Jizu Mountain and the largest ancient temple in Jizu Mountain.
Zhusheng Temple is surrounded by towering ancient trees, and the ancient temple is surrounded by these ancient trees. Without the noise of the busy city, it really feels like a secluded place.
Walking into Zhusheng Temple, you will find that various Ming and Qing style buildings such as the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Sutra Pavilion, Corridor, etc. of the entire Zhusheng Temple appear in the courtyard and are well preserved.
The layout of the courtyard is very regular and covers a very large area. They are all in the form of courtyard houses.
Zhusheng Temple is divided into many courtyards. The first courtyard is mainly composed of natural scenery, while the second courtyard is mainly composed of buildings. Among them, there are many ancient precious cultural relics in the second courtyard.
Leaving Zhusheng Temple, there are road signs at the fork of the path. They all point to other ancient temples centered on Zhusheng Temple, such as Xuyun Temple, Shizhong Temple, etc. You can follow the road signs to visit each ancient temple.
After visiting the ancient temple at the foot of the mountain, follow the path and climb up the mountain, pass through the dense forest, and reach the cableway entrance, which means that we are getting closer and closer to the rhododendrons.
In the rainy season, a touch of green is common in Jizu Mountain, so the little bit of green forest that covers the mountains and plains, clusters of pink, white, and red are eye-catching.
The distribution of rhododendrons in Jizu Mountain is extremely characteristic. They are basically distributed above the mountainside, and some unknown wildflowers are distributed in the dense forest below the mountainside.

As a "living fossil" in the plant kingdom, alpine rhododendron is not like ordinary flowers.
I would rather call it a "cuckoo tree", which is its uniqueness. The trunk pattern is like a century-old tree stump, but it is on such an old tree that beautiful flowers bloom every year.
Therefore, the azaleas on the chicken's feet give people a particularly different feeling, like an old tree that has lived for a hundred years suddenly blooming.

The number of rhododendrons on Jizu Mountain is large or small, and they are scattered. They are distributed in the middle of the mountain above the cableway entrance. Some are distributed on the edge of cliffs and some are distributed in dense forests.

The rhododendrons in Jizu Mountain are really difficult to accurately describe them in words. Although they are rhododendrons, they live with the tenacity of plum blossoms and the coolness of orchids.
The azaleas in different locations on the peony give people a completely different feeling. Most of the azaleas growing in the dense forest are in pieces, and the height of the branches is high, giving people a feeling of warmth and spirituality.

The azaleas growing on the edge of the cliff are short, but at first glance, they can be seen that they have experienced wind and rain, giving people the feeling of being tough and tenacious.

It is precisely because the rhododendrons in Jizu Mountain do not bloom like rhododendrons in other places that they are even more precious.
The originally majestic and mysterious Buddhist mountain has become more vivid with colorful flowers embellished, and people feel less distant from it.

The rhododendrons in Jizu Mountain bloom very spiritually. They seem to bloom in disorder, but they are actually very profound.
In its unique location, you can always see that it has established a connection with the ancient temple on the top of the mountain, the road signs, the clear blue sky, and the surrounding environment. Therefore, a series of photos such as "Rhododendron Reflecting Ancient Pagoda" and "Mountain Flowers Accompanying Ancient Temple" have appeared.

This kind of scenery cannot be seen at the foot of the mountain or the mountainside. It can only appear after walking through the Hall of Kasyapa along the tour path. The place above the Hall of Kasyapa has the highest probability of encountering rhododendrons, and the place above the Hall of Kasyapa is all cliffs. It seems that people can't believe that such a barren place gave birth to the unique rhododendrons.

At this time, I finally realized why flowers in different growth locations gave people such a different feeling because of the environment.
Go all the way up and cross the narrow path between the cliffs to find the "Azalea Corridor", the most famous scenery of "Azalea" on Jizu Mountain.
The Rhododendron Corridor here is not unique in normal times, but when the azaleas are in full bloom, it has become the most eye-catching place in the entire Jizu Mountain.
The Rhododendron Promenade has changed from its previous low-key to the C-position of Jizu Mountain, and has become a place where everyone checks in as long as they go to Jizu Mountain!

The azaleas here are not as small as the ones before. The azaleas here are the densest place in the entire Jizu Mountain. The surprise and shock caused by the clusters of azaleas are indescribable!
There are not only azaleas above the mountainside. The most famous attractions and ancient temples in Jizu Mountain are basically concentrated here.

During the journey to find rhododendrons, you will also encounter attractions in Jizu Mountain such as Kasyapa Hall, Huashou Gate, Guanyin Pavilion, and Jinding Temple.
In this area, flowers coexist with ancient temples and scenic spots. Azaleas decorate the ancient temples and ancient towers, and conversely they also set off the azaleas.
The hiking and flower chasing trip at Jizu Mountain in Binchuan, Dali is a journey that integrates natural scenery and history and culture. It is also a must-miss trip during the summer!
