In ancient times, when leisure and entertainment were underdeveloped, appreciating flowers became the most passionate thing for people at every season, so there was the "Twenty-Four Flower Trade Style".

From small cold to grain rain, there are eight solar terms and twenty-four seasons. Each season corresponds to a type of flower, such as: the vernal equinox, the first time is crabapple, the second time is pear, and the third time is Mulan. People adhere to this flower appreciation rule, year after year.

In warm Yunnan, this rule does not seem to be so accurate. Yunnan's "flowering time" is a school of its own, and flowers bloom and fall naturally.

Cherry blossoms bloom in January, rapeseed blossoms in February, peach blossoms in March, peonies in April, jacaranda blossoms in May, rhododendrons in June... The "flowers and colors" continue all year round. This is the "flower time" in Yunnan.

Entering June 2021, Yunnan has begun to enter the rainy season. Aircurrents from the Indian Ocean wander wantonly in Yunnan, bringing precious water vapor. The arrival of rainwater indicates that "the Cangshan Azalea viewing season is coming soon!!!!"

Cangshan quickly turned green under the nourishment of rain. Rhododendron quickly expanded its leaves and began to breed flowers. Only when it blooms, it could bloom all over Cangshan in a short time.

At that time, Cangshan's azalea sea successfully emerged from the circle, monopolizing the first place in Yunnan's color circle!

From the halfway up of Cangshan Mountain to Ximatan in Cangshan Mountain to the western slope of Cangshan Mountain, it is all occupied by azaleas. Other flowers are instantly eclipsed, as if they have lost their eye-catching charm and their sense of existence is reduced.

It coincides with the flower viewing season, and people who hear the news of flowers flocked from all directions, wanting to catch a glimpse of the azalea sea.

However, Cangshan Mountain is too high, and the Ximatan cableway is extremely vulnerable to windy weather. In addition, the flowering period of rhododendrons is not long. Some people are always out of luck with rhododendrons. They can only get a glimpse of the blooming rhododendrons in Cangshan Mountain from photos and videos. Even so, many people flock to it.

The rhododendrons on Cangshan have been blooming for many years, and I don't know where they came from. When they were discovered, they had become one of the most representative scenery on Cangshan.

As one of China's top ten famous flowers, Rhododendron has a huge family system. There are 900 species of rhododendrons in the world, with more than 530 species in China.

The rhododendrons on Cangshan are mainly "big tree rhododendrons" and "mountain rhododendrons". Big tree rhododendrons are the tallest tree species in the genus Rhododendron, the most primitive and ancient type, and also a national-level protected plant.

Azalea flowers are gorgeous in color and complex and diverse in colors, including red, light red, white, snow blue and other colors.

When the azaleas bloom, the color is as gorgeous as haze. The red azaleas are like red clouds in the sky, which is very eye-catching, so they are also known as "Yingshanhong".

There are azaleas in many high mountains in Yunnan, and there are also many azaleas on Cangshan Mountain in Dali, but the most special ones are those near Ximatan and along the Ximatan Cableway.

You can see the green Cangshan Mountain from the entrance of the cableway, but you can't see the sea of flowers at this time. As the car continues to rise and climbs on the "green sea", at this time some sporadic rhododendrons have been mixed in the bushes.

Although azaleas can be seen at this time, the number of azaleas is still relatively small. As the altitude continues to increase, there are more and more azaleas, consisting of plants forming sheets and connecting from sheets to the sea.

After climbing over a very high mountain peak and entering a gentle zone, the number of rhododendrons has doubled. The beautiful shadows of rhododendrons can be seen in the mountain depressions, on gentle slopes, and among the fir bushes, which is very shocking.

After getting off the cableway, the shock of the azalea sea was like a gust of wind, rushing towards me crazily, arousing joy in my heart.

Ximatan Scenic Area is located on the top of Cangshan Mountain, surrounded by steep peaks, and azaleas grow in the mountain depression.

Strange peaks, ravines, mountains and lakes, these elements overlap, making Ximatan Rhododendron a unique existence.

The rhododendrons in Ximatan, Cangshan, have both the enthusiasm of rhododendrons, and the pride and coldness of plum blossoms. They are like a stunning cold beauty, cold and dusty, high in the sky without a trace of worldly turbidity.

The azaleas here are beautiful but not demonic. They are elves who come through the rain, dancing freely in the mountains and showing their colors.

From the entrance to the exit of the tour path, the length is less than 2 kilometers, but the number of rhododendrons cannot be underestimated. In some places, the rhododendrons have already reached both sides of the tour path, and the rhododendrons are in front of you when you look up.

You can see azaleas everywhere you go, as if you are in a sea of flowers and move along the "flower road". There are also several best viewing spots on this tour, where you can see the shocking scenery and take photos that are praised.

The azalea sea in Ximatan is the most breathtaking existence after the "Snow Scenery of Cangshan Mountain". The large-area sea of flowers mixed with green exudes the charm of nowhere to be placed.

The sky is high and holy, and the blue is clear, the pool on the ground is full of clear water, the green is dazzling, and clear and pure colors are dotted with it. I have seen that unspeakable scene many times in my life!

Grasslands, lakes, woods, and rhododendrons, all these natural scenery are combined together, the more messy and the less monotonous. No more or less is the most attractive and best combination of Ximatan.

At this time, when seeing such an intoxicating scenery, I had to sigh that nature was indeed the greatest landscaper!
