The sudden epidemic at the beginning of the year made the already confused Wang Jialiang even worse. He has been living in Shanghai for eight years. He has just turned 33 this year, and has been working in an unknown company. However, his friends around him seem to be thriving. Some have already become the middle level of the company, and some have purchased their first property.
In the past two years,"escaping from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou" has become a choice for more people. He also considered leaving Shanghai and going to Hangzhou, the new first-tier city next door to give it a try. But after repeated deliberation, he felt that Shanghai was more diverse and inclusive, and it was not impossible to achieve the small goals he had set here step by step.
His small goal is to drive around Greater China by car. In September this year, after having had enough of living from 9 to 5, he decided to act immediately to achieve this goal as soon as possible.
Wang Jialiang gritted his teeth and bought a second-hand Model 3 with a higher profile. It was also during the past two years that the price of Tesla's entry-level electric vehicle had dropped to within 250,000 yuan. After buying the car, he set about planning for self-driving. He had always longed for the south of the colorful clouds, so he set the first stop on his tour around Greater China at Cangshan and Erhai Lake in Dali.
The following is a itinerary for his pure electricity journey, which is presented in the first person for the convenience of readers:
Day1
The first journey from Shanghai to Hangzhou, 180 kilometers, takes 3 hours
Before setting off, I was still very excited. After all, this was the first time driving my own car and it was a pure tram for a long journey.
The overall itinerary plan is: starting from Shanghai, passing through Hangzhou, Nanchang, Xiangtan, Guiyang, Kunming, and finally arriving at the destination Dali. The journey is about 2700 kilometers and takes three days.
When I bought a Tesla at that time, I had already contacted the manufacturer to install charging piles in my parking space. I didn't have any pressure to drive to Hangzhou when I was fully charged.
Picture note: I flipped through the beautiful scenery of West Lake on my mobile phone before departure. I planned to visit the old place again, but I had to give up for reasons of time.
Shanghai to Hangzhou is about 180 kilometers. I drove out at around 5 o'clock in the morning. When I drove along the G60 Expressway to Hangzhou South Railway Station, I drove out of the Expressway. The first supply station, I chose a fast charging station from the Energy Chain Express App, which is a charging station located at Hangzhou South Railway Station operated by Tedang. The fast power software shows that charging before 0 p.m. to 8 a.m. costs only 0.68 yuan per kilowatt-hour (Editor's note: Real-time electricity price, for reference only), which is very cost-effective.
The second journey from Hangzhou to Nanchang, 550 kilometers, takes 6 hours
Starting from Hangzhou Mandian, the next stop is Nanchang, which is about 550 kilometers apart. I got on the G6021 and drove along the highway all the way. Perhaps also thanks to the good road conditions, my Model 3 performed very well. When it arrived in Nanchang, it showed that it still had dozens of kilometers of battery life remaining.
There is a small incident here. I actually wanted to make supplies halfway at first. After all, it was the first time I drove an electric car to run so far. To be honest, I still had some "battery life anxiety". A good function of the Energy Chain Express APP is that you can enter the starting point and ending point locations, and the system will automatically perform route planning and directly present the charging stations along the way. It is very intuitive.
G6021 is close to Nanchang County. Based on the distance and electricity prices, I chose a charging station located near the Nanchang County Museum this time. There was a good restaurant nearby. After eating, I bought some supplies on the road, and the electricity was charged.
The third journey Nanchang → Xiangtan, 400 kilometers, 5 hours
As soon as we set out from Nanchang, the sky suddenly turned gloomy, and heavy rain came just as soon as possible. It was already past 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Normally, it would take about four and a half hours to reach the charging station near Yijiawan Town, Xiangtan. I was worried that sudden changes in the weather might directly extend the journey time to five hours.
Although it rained half the way, the temperature in the car was very suitable and it would not be hot and cold. This is actually because many electric vehicles today are equipped with intelligent constant temperature systems that can lock in to a specific temperature.
Arriving in Xiangtan nearly 9 p.m., I drove to the two-type central charging station in Zhaoshan Demonstration Area to charge, and stayed at a hotel in Yijiawan Town.
That night, I was lying in the hotel bed tossing and turning, a little excited. This day's more than 1100-kilometer pure electric journey was quite smooth. I want to get a good night's sleep and leave later the next day.
Day2
The fourth journey from Xiangtan → Huaihua, 350 kilometers, takes 4.5 hours
I set out from Xiangtan at 10 a.m. the next morning and drove to Huaihua City. In fact, my original plan was to drive all the way from Xiangtan to Guiyang, but after checking the map, I found that the two places were more than 800 kilometers apart, and I had to find a place to transfer in between. Huaihua became a target supply station.
I have feelings for Huaihua. I used to study at university in Hunan, and my previous hometown was Huaihua. A large part of the reason I have been single all these years is that I have never been able to let go of my predecessor. So I plan to go to Huaihua to have a look, just to have a quick look, for a short stay. There is another reason. It's time to eat and I'm hungry.
Coincidentally, Tesla has a supercharging site in Huaihua, on the B1 floor of Jinlei International Hotel. It is not difficult to find. Within an hour of charging, I walked around the hotel for a while, and the inexplicable emotion surged out again.
"Aquarius is so sad." I murmured to myself. Between emotions, one night, minced pork rice noodles had entered the digestive system. At this time, my mobile phone reminded me that the car was fully charged, so I continued on the road and headed for the next stop, Guiyang.
The fifth journey, Huaihua → Guiyang, 450 kilometers, takes 6 hours
It was about four o'clock in the afternoon, and I set off from Huaihua. The sky is clear and the air is clear, and the road conditions are quite good. My earlier sad mood suddenly brightened. At this time, Netease Cloud Music seemed to be able to understand my thoughts and pushed a song by Xia Xiaohu's "Momo".
I have never heard of a singer at all, but this song does sing hope for the future. Always believe that something beautiful is about to happen!
This journey is nearly 450 kilometers, but I no longer have the "endurance anxiety" I had yesterday. I know the strength of "Xiao Te". I'm not worried about finding a supply station. I know the strength to connect fast electricity.
When I drove all the way to the vicinity of Guiyang South Railway Station, I realized that it was already 10 o'clock in the evening. Must stay in this city tonight.
Yesterday reappeared. I first searched a hotel and found a nearby charging station through the Energy Chain Express APP.
The charging station I found offers very favorable charging prices. From 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. the next morning, the charging price is only 60 cents per kilowatt hour (Editor's note: Real-time electricity price, for reference only).
Day3
The sixth journey from Guiyang to Kunming, 550 kilometers, takes 8 hours
Today, I got up early and planned to leave before 6 o'clock and arrive in Kunming at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Everything went according to plan. After completing supplies in Kunming, I drove to the terminal of Dali at about 4 o'clock.
The seventh journey Kunming → Dali, 330 kilometers, takes 5 hours
The last leg of the pure electricity journey is the Erhai Lake. I booked Dali Shili Hilton Hotel on Ctrip because the reviews of this hotel were very good. I was so excited that I would be able to sit on Cangshan Mountain and watch the "rising and falling tide" in the Erhai Lake and the "rolling and relaxing clouds".
At 9 p.m., I followed the navigation instructions on the Energy Chain Express APP, parked the car at the hotel charging station, and then went to the hotel lobby to check in.
This is my pure electric journey, and I hope it will be helpful to motorists who drive electric cars.
Finally, I would like to share with you a few beautiful pictures of Erhai Lake:
