"Let's see and travel": 599 yuan, 6 days and 5 nights! What kind of trip to Yunnan was it?
The long-awaited trip to Yunnan was finally possible because of the "wait and see trip". Before that, although I yearned for Yunnan very much and wanted to travel with my children, I never dared to rush out because of videos and articles posted online about the fierce and barbaric local customs and tour guides insulting and bullying tourists. Until I happened to see "Yunnan Time-A Six Days and Five Nights Light Luxury Tour to Dali and Lijiang" launched on the Weixin Official Accounts "Let's Go Travel", while I was struggling, I bought a travel voucher for a family of four with the mentality of gambling.
Although the travel company's itinerary looks very good, I am still worried: 599 yuan, 6 days and 5 nights, will I stay in a black shop? Is it a roadside stall? Will there be additional charges? Will you force shopping?... When my colleagues heard that the group tour fee was so cheap, they were also suspicious. They thought that I would either be deceived or involved in a forced shopping tour group. If I didn't shop, the tour guide would definitely scold the tourists to death! It made me shudder.
Anyway, I bought the travel ticket half a year ago, and its use period is one year. I think I should travel with my children this summer vacation anyway. But when I booked an itinerary online, I found that there were no group seats during the summer vacation. Only in September. I was confused and immediately contacted the customer service. The other party suggested that I make a reservation for a date with group seats, and then indicate the date to change. The customer service was very enthusiastic to help me coordinate the handling, and soon I was told that I could travel in early August! A travel housekeeper immediately contacted me about specific travel matters, and I was just waiting for an auspicious day!
DAY1 Flying from the stove to Spring City, it's cool
This was the first time the children were flying on a plane and felt very excited and novel. Some of the white clouds outside the window are like rolling snow-capped mountains, and some are like rolling waves in the sea. Imagine yourself riding a roc flying in the blue sky and white clouds. The clouds around you are so white, so soft, and seem to be within reach! Under the white clouds are the green mountains and houses on the earth, which are only vaguely visible. Only then can we truly understand the scene of clouds "floating" in the air, and then we can truly see the clouds rolling and relaxing.
More than an hour later, the plane landed at Kunming Changshui Airport. As soon as we got off the plane, we felt that the climate here was indeed different: not long ago, it was clearly steaming like a stove in Changsha, but now it is as cool and pleasant as the spring and autumn of Kunming. When we arrived at the airport, the staff of the tourism company took us to the reception hall and presented each of us with a flower, making us feel the warmth of the "flower city". Then a beautiful driver drove us to the Jinyue Hotel in the city and told us that we could move freely today.
It was noon. If we were at home and it was scorching hot, of course we would not go anywhere. We would just stay in the air-conditioned room to escape the heat. Now, taking advantage of this beautiful summer, we don't want to waste a minute and immediately visit the former site of National Southwest Associated University. Southwest Associated University is also one of the places I want to visit most when I come to Kunming. In the era of artillery fire, 3,000 teachers and students migrated to the southwest after arduous and arduous journeys, writing a miracle in the history of education and setting up a spiritual monument. Next to the classroom of Southwest Associated University, looking at the tombstones of revolutionary heroes and thinking of how the masters and passionate young people eighty years ago continued the blood of Chinese culture here, my admiration for the intellectuals of that era arises spontaneously.
DAY2 Entering a wild land-Naigu Stone Forest
"Naigu" is the Sani language of the Yi people, which contains the meaning of ancient and black. Ashima, a local tour guide, took us through the stone forest, sometimes entering deep caves, and sometimes walking between narrow rock crevices. This is the filming location of "Three Beats on the Bone Bones" in "Journey to the West". We can't help but think of the scene where monsters appear in "Journey to the West". However, sometimes it suddenly becomes clear, the grassland is flat and the flowers are in full bloom, making people feel relaxed and happy. There are both towering rocks and rich vegetation here. Various grotesque stone pillars and stone peaks rise from the ground. The shapes of stone peaks such as the Liangzhu Meeting, the Peacock Opening, and the Double Lion Love are amazing. The magic craftsmanship of nature is vividly reflected here. There is no soil on the stone, but there are many honeycomb-shaped holes, but the vitality of flowers and trees is so tenacious! Look! These small trees seeking survival in the cracks and wild flowers that bloom not just for appreciation!
Do you also think they are particularly awesome?
After touring the Naigu Stone Forest, we went to the next stop, Dali, passing through Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, and ate wild mushroom hot pot at a local restaurant. For the first time, we saw that grasshoppers could be served on the table as delicious food! But I didn't dare to eat it.
Stay at the Century Star Hotel tonight.
DAY3
Stroll through the ancient city of Dali; experience Bai tie-dyeing; watch Cangshan and Erhai
"A river surrounds Cangshan, and Cangshan embraces the ancient city." We took a tourist bus from Chuxiong to the ancient city of Dali for three to four hours. The ancient city is very large, with streets like chessboards. Shops along the street stand side by side, selling various specialties, snacks and handicrafts. Old houses can be seen everywhere, with flowers and trees in the courtyard, and flowing water in the outdoor rivers and canals. It can be said that "three families have a well, and each household has a few pots of flowers." There are scenic spots such as Document Building, Foreign Street, Wuhua Building, etc.
Yunnan is the province with the largest number of ethnic minorities. The Yi and Bai are the two major ethnic minorities in Yunnan, and the Bai people mainly live in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, so it is necessary to visit the Bai people's houses in Dali and understand the Bai people's customs. In addition to watching the Bai people's "Chacha" song and dance performances, we also experienced the Bai people's tie-dyeing skills firsthand. The raw material for tie-dyeing is white cotton cloth. After the pattern is designed, it is tied tightly with needle and thread, and then placed in a dyeing vat for dyeing. The dye is the isatis root plant growing on Cangshan Mountain. After several dyeing, the color changes from green to blue. Finally, rinsing, fixing, and drying are carried out to make the production successful. Please see, this is a work made by those craftsmen with our own eyes (the pattern was chosen by us). It was fished out of the big dye vat and given to us for free.
Next, we finally arrived at the legendary Erhai Lake. It was quite good to travel in a jeep. It is called the sea, but it is actually a freshwater lake. Cangshan Mountain is looming amidst the clouds and mist, and the Erhai Lake is gentle and peaceful under Cangshan Mountain. The mountains and rivers complement each other. It is so beautiful that I can't bear to hear the noise of people disturb this tranquility. Of course, it is also indispensable for Internet celebrities who come here to check in to take photos.
That night, we stayed at the Harbor Hot Spring Hotel in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture.
DAY4 Jade Dragon Snow Mountain "Affinity" Blue Moon Valley
Today, when we went to Lijiang Yulong Snow Mountain, the guide was A Peng, a rugged Tibetan and Naxi mixed-blood. He bluntly said that if we thought we could see snow on the Yulong Snow Mountain, or even ski and have snowball fights there, we would definitely be disappointed. As it is said, there is no snow on the mountain this season, which makes us a little disappointed, but we have to say that the rolling peaks look mysterious and extremely beautiful in the clouds and mist! The large-scale live-action performance "Impression·Lijiang" and the stunning Blue Moon Valley somewhat made up for our disappointment. The majestic atmosphere of "Impression·Lijiang" and the exotic customs of ethnic minorities leave us with endless memories.
The water in Blue Moon Valley is blue and milky blue. It should be like the color of milk and Polygonum blue mixed together, but when you grab a handful of water, you will find that the water is so clear and cool! In some places, green mountains and blue skies and white clouds are reflected, and the scene in the lake is so clear, bright and clear! There are some small waterfalls and large waterfalls in the upper reaches of the lake. The large waterfalls are the most familiar ones. After each episode of "Journey to the West" is played, the picture that appears when the ending song is sung is like a large white dynamic water curtain hanging on the edge of the hanging rock. Standing under the waterfall far away from it, you can feel the flying flowers, broken jade, and drizzle; although the small waterfalls are not spectacular, the stream flows down, which has a unique flavor. Thousands of words cannot describe the beautiful scenery I saw. Let's just take the picture, but the pictures I took cannot compare with the real scene I saw with my own eyes!
DAY 5 Ancient City of Lijiang--One Person's Romance
My first impression of the ancient city of Lijiang was that it was extremely prosperous and lively. There are a lot of people here, and there are many bars here. Through the glass walls, you can see the lights and hot songs inside, so I understand why it is called "Lijiang Alone". If you are a single dog, maybe you can really encounter a romantic love! There are rows of shops here, with a wide array of goods and everything. We bought some of them with local characteristics such as jade, yellow dragon jade, gambling stone, snowflake silver and silver, ancient brown sugar, and flower cakes.
Today, I took a tourist bus back to Kunming from Lijiang, which is a long journey. Stay at the Longway Hotel, a four-star hotel in Kunming in the evening.
DAY6 ends the journey, goodbye to Yunnan
The trip ends by visiting the tourist distribution center on the last day, and the travel company will arrange a drop off from the airport or station. Looking back on the journey over the past few days, the travel company that "We'll See Travel" cooperated with is really a conscientious business. When I met the tour guide early the next morning, I received small gifts carefully prepared by the company for each tourist. The accommodation hotels arranged throughout the entire process were all star-rated hotels with good conditions, and breakfast was eaten at the hotel. To be honest, group tours at this price are still relatively cost-effective. Although there are several shopping spots where the tour guide will guide consumption, it is really voluntary. Even if some tourists do not buy anything, the tour guide's attitude is still relatively polite. There is no legendary bad attitude of insulting tourists.
I first met Yunnan because of "wait and see travel", but this time I felt like a dragonfly skimming the surface of the water. Next time I will definitely have an in-depth tour of Yunnan! Goodbye, the mysterious and beautiful South of Colorful Clouds!
