This is the hometown of the five golden flowers. This is the romantic hometown written by Jin Yong. Every place is a scenery and every place has a story. Dali's scenery is on the edge of the Erhai Lake. On the other side of the water, Cangshan and Erhai Lake can be reflected in the eyes. Dali's personality lies on the edge of the Erhai Lake. Whether it is the ancient city, Xizhou, double corridors, and dug colors, every place is a unique place of well-being. Dali has historically been the most important cultural and economic exchanges between the East and the West. channel. Known as the Southern Silk Road, it is an important distribution center for the Bonan Ancient Road and the Tea and Horse Ancient Road. Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture is known as a famous country in literature. During the Tang and Song Dynasties, both Nanzhao and Dali States were founded here. Cangshan Mountain is like a screen, Erhai Lake is like a mirror, Chongsheng Temple is like a morning bell and dusk drums, and the simplicity and elegance of the Foreign Street hurriedly led Dali to the colorful world in front of you.
Take a taxi from Dali Ancient City to Caicun Wharf
Entered the path near Caicun Wharf
Fortunately, I endured the "stench"
Welcome by flies and worms, we will continue to move forward without hesitation
Arrived at a place deep into the middle of the sea like a tongue
Along the way, I lamented these past projects, and some were forced to stop when they were still under construction.
The concave shape in the picture above (it was also a 270-degree sea view room before)
I really hope that after treatment, the water energy of the Erhai Lake will return to its former clarity
After that, we must also love it more
Take the Huanhai Double-Decker Bus
Mainly visit the eastern route of Erhai Lake
That expectation and surprise followed the renovation of Erhai Lake
Shuanglang Ancient Town has been completely transformed by construction
Not to mention beautiful, it's hard to walk
The seaside is full of "dirty mess"
While making people surprised, I also express my regret
Strolling on the sea tongue
I'm glad I didn't give up on this place, but I finally came here.
Because of the large-scale renovation of Erhai Lake
From Xizhou B & B to the sun in the morning
Wind, soil and sand all the way
After 2 hours of walking, we finally arrived at Haitang Park
The sea tongue in the morning is "deserted"
Mosquitoes buzzing in my ears
Goosebumps
Follow clockwise
The water at the end of the sea tongue is crystal clear
These conches shine in the dazzling light
Present more charming colors
Encounter the big banyan tree in the water
was playing happily
Haise, I like you so much
This is the first time I came to Dali in a hurry
No feeling for the ancient city of Dali
This time, because I lived near the ancient city
Ancient city of Dali under the rainbow after the rain
Dali Ancient City Under Blue Sky and White Clouds
The ancient city of Dali with singing and dancing
After visiting the east, west, south and north
Fascinated by the scenery of Dali
The ancient city of Dali is magical
Considering taking the train from Kunming to Dali at night, the train station is positioned as today's transfer station. From the airport to the train station, it is most convenient to take the airport bus.
[Airport Bus]
After picking up your luggage, you leave the airport arrival hall, No. 1, No. 2, No. 3... Airport buses are neatly lined up and waiting on one side of the road. The No. 2 Airport Express Line has two lines to the railway station and Wujiaba. You can get on the bus and buy tickets. In the airport, there are also various airport bus ticketing points on the way from the boarding gate to the luggage check-in. You can also buy tickets there. You can rest assured that there are regular ticket stubs.
Airport Bus Line 2 (direction to the train station)
Ticket price: 25 yuan/ticket (full journey)
Departure time: Every 15 minutes between AM05:00 and PM23:00
Train station departure point: It is 100 meters away from the Kunming Railway Station Progress Hall. There is a sign at the entrance and there is also the "Kunming International Airport Railway Station City Terminal" inside. On the way back, the fare of Line 919 C (5:00 - 21:00) is nearly half cheaper than the airport bus. The interval is long. The bus runs every half hour. The fare is 13 yuan. The stops in the middle are the International Convention and Exhibition Center and Guandu Square.
Time consuming: 40 minutes to 60 minutes. There will be traffic jams in the city during the day. Without traffic jams, it will take more than 30 minutes.
luggage storage
Choosing an affordable way to travel from Kunming to Dali overnight by train has become the first choice for most tourists to "Kunming Dali". Through the security check at the train station, there is a more formal deposit next to the "Dicos" on the left. The luggage office is charged according to the number of items, 5 yuan/piece, and is open from 7 a.m. to 23 p.m.
I have to say that the S-shaped highway at Longkan Wharf is so similar to the Internet celebrity S-shaped highway in Ganxi Village that I can't tell the difference. I went to Longkan in the morning and Ganxi Village at noon. But in common, there are many tourists.
It is lucky and happy to be able to see the sunrise, but sometimes luck always comes by chance. I still remember that the train arrived in Dali in the early morning of May 2017, and the sunrise was all the way. The sunrise was really beautiful. Finally, I felt that at the south gate of the ancient city of Dali, there was a rainbow after the rain. When I went to see the sunrise in the next few days, I never saw anything so amazing.
The early morning in Dali in winter is very cold, but many photography teams take wedding photos here. They are not afraid of the strong wind on the beach and are happy to interact with the seagulls.
What I am most satisfied with is this Jesus light. The mountain view on the other side is looming.
If you want to watch the sunrise, staying in a sea view room by the sea is also a good choice.
Dali has Internet celebrity B & Bs and many Internet celebrity attractions, but I don't like to chase such "Internet celebrity" check-in points. I came to Longkan Wharf initially because it was a good place to watch the sunrise. The sunrise in winter was around 8 o'clock, but I didn't see the imaginary sunrise. I went to the beach for two consecutive days, but the weather was very clear. Thick clouds blocked the east where the sunrise was about to rise and refused to disperse. Although I didn't get the sunrise I expected. However, taking advantage of the fact that there are still few tourists in the early morning, we move counterclockwise in Longkan Ancient Town and enjoy the scenery along the wooden plank road. The ever-changing scenery does not affect the play at all due to winter. Ponds, wetlands, metasequoia, and landscapes built according to local conditions will make you feel relaxed and happy.
You can always think about walking south or north along Longkan Ancient Ferry. I suggest thinking about walking north and following the light. In the evening, you can walk north and make the light softer. There are battery cars in Caicun, Sansheng Island, and Longkan Wharf. Foreign cars and electric vehicles cannot be driven in, but human bicycles are okay.
As long as you pass Longkan Ancient Ferry, fewer and fewer people are walking on both sides. Most of the people you see are health or work workers. I have to say that the management of Erhai Lake has achieved remarkable results and the management is very strict. Drones are not allowed to be placed on the road around Haixi Road. It can only be put in villages off the road.
I found a restaurant near Erhaimen that eats local specialty mushroom soup pots. The taste is quite authentic, and you can sit on the balcony on the second floor and enjoy the delicious food while watching the people coming and going on the streets of the ancient city.
Wild mushroom pot bottom
Yunnan's mushrooms are very particular. There are dozens of kinds of fungi alone. We were familiar with matsutake, bamboo fungus, boletus, morel, and collobium fungus. In addition, you can also eat plump yellow boletus fungus, peach fungus, black truffle, scaly meat tiger fungus, green head fungus, and yellow umbrella fungus. The nutritional value of mushroom soup is very high. I ordered one after another to replenish my energy for my tired journey.
Wild mushroom stir-frying: fragrant fried tiger palm fungus
There are many ways to make fungi. In addition to making soup and eating fungi in a mushroom pot, you can also stir-fry the tiger palm fungus. The fragrant taste makes the fungi taste particularly fragrant. There are also shredded pork and peppers in it, which is a special dish for rice.
Special desserts
For dessert, I ordered a pint of Fenghua Snow Liquid, which was taken from the homophonic pronunciation of "Fenghua Snow Moon". This was the first time I tasted such a dessert, and I specifically asked the clerk what it had. This was actually made from various fruits. You can also see red fruit grains, which taste more like tremella pear soup.
Special flower wine
Guests who come to eat can taste its flower wine for free. In addition to the green plum, peach blossom, and osmanthus I usually drink, this time I also tasted nearly ten flavors such as purple rice, rose, and lychee. My favorite drink is osmanthus flavor.
Delicious home-cooked dishes:
Eggplant with mushroom juice. This dish must be eaten hot. The eggplant strips are fried and then poured in the juice. If you don't say that it's mushroom juice, it makes me feel very similar to Jiangsu and Zhejiang dishes. It's soft, glutinous and delicious. When you come to Yunnan, you will find that many local dishes contain fungus elements, which are penetrated into various dishes. You can imagine how much local people like to eat various fungi and have developed so many delicious dishes.
Serve it with meat dishes and vegetables
If you like to eat meat, you can try its beef beef. The hand-cut beef beef is very thick and firm. In order to ensure the taste of the soup, the meat is finally added and paired with some vegetables. I choose Bean Jian, also a local specialty vegetable, is very tender and has a faint fragrance.
More than ten kinds of wild fungi can choose from
This pot of mushroom soup is made with local chicken and pork bones. It is rich in nutrients and also contains various mushroom and mushrooms with local characteristics.
You can choose from more than ten kinds of fungi made by boiling (Boltus, red milk boltus, trumpet fungus, green head fungus, Cordyceps flower, snow mountain cold fungus, elderly first class), I chose boltus, bamboo fungus, morel fungus, or ordered a wild mushroom platter, which was paired with boltus, bamboo fungus, yellow umbrella, red milk boltus, and yam. There are two kinds of small pots and large pots. My full pot can be enough for 2-4 people. If there are not many people, just order 1-2 kinds of fungi. Like boiling hot pot, you must drink the soup before boiling meat. The soup with Dianhong flowers has an upgraded nutrition and the taste is "fresh"!
Erhaimen enters the ancient city and goes all the way up to Foreign Street. It goes uphill. From evening to evening, there are the most people. Whether it is a romantic bar or a delicious restaurant, every place in Dali needs to slow down to appreciate its beauty.
Among the many city gates in Dali, I think the south gate is the most interesting. Fortunately, when the south gate was opened before, I had the honor to climb it and walk on the gate, overlooking the Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain. I also encountered the beautiful scenery of rainbows after the rain.
I didn't bring a camera that time and took it casually, but I have never encountered this beautiful scenery again. It may be because the winter is dry and there is little precipitation. I will try my luck next time in May and June.
I came to Dali again in January. Compared with November and December, there were even fewer people in the ancient city of Dali. Moreover, I caught up with the cold air in Yunnan. The average temperature should have been above 10 degrees, but in these two rainy days, the highest temperature was only 4 degrees. On the second day I came to Dali, I caught up with the sleet in Dali. The scattered light fell on my clothes, and obvious particles could be seen, but they could not be seen when it fell on the ground.
Going with the times and cherishing the present are the most life insights I have learned this year. Many people complain that Dali is not good, but apart from the first time I came to Dali with a group when I was a child, I caught up with the pouring rain and sat on a cruise ship on the Erhai Lake. I feel that my impression of Dali is rainy and cloudy. The second time I came to Dali was three years ago, when the Erhai Lake in Dali was beginning to be comprehensively managed. Many places, including the ancient town of Shuanglang, have been dug out and can't bear to look directly at it. I came to Dali again in 2019, and I have already achieved initial results. I came to Dali last month and walked on the newly built Erhai wooden plank road, which allowed me to see the beauty of Dali. The former Dali is back again. It is a paradise suitable for living in the world. Therefore, I feel that by living in Dali this year, I will explore more of the beauty of Dali.
It was the evening that I came to Yuer Garden and took advantage of a little sunshine to visit the garden in Dali. It was also the first time. There were all kinds of flowers and flowers in the garden, camellia, chrysanthemums, peonies, towering ancient banyan trees, rockery bonsai, and smart little squirrels. The whole garden was not like winter at all, but as if I felt the breath of spring.
This covered bridge also has reflections in the water, especially like a Jiangnan garden, and there are different shapes of lion cubs on the stone bridge, which makes the bleak winter full of vitality.
Historically, Dali was once the economic, political, military and cultural center of Yunnan. It was a famous literary state. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were as many as 16 Confucian temples in Dali. In Dali City, there were once Dali Confucian Temple, Fengyi Confucian Temple, Taihe Confucian Temple, Xiaguan Confucian Temple, and Qase Confucian Temple. For a long time, Chinese traditional culture, carried by Dali Confucian Temple, has had a significant and far-reaching impact on Dali society with its unique and rich connotation.
The architectural shape of the Dali Confucian Temple has high artistic value, reflecting the architectural style of Dali's palace in the late Qing Dynasty, and has the characteristics of the architectural art of the Bai people in Dali. It is a model of our country's border culture and the Central Plains culture that are passed down in the same line and blended with each other. It is a unique precious historical and cultural heritage. The restoration and reconstruction of the Confucian Temple is an important measure to protect and enhance the cultural connotation of the ancient city of Dali and promote the prosperity and development of the city's cultural undertakings. Especially today, when building a beautiful and happy new Dali, it has positive significance.
Because I came at noon, even in Dali at noon in winter, the sun was still very dazzling. At first, I chose a seat in the courtyard. When the mushroom pot came up, it was warm and dazzling, so I asked the waiter to help me move it and sit inside. The boss was very considerate and poured me some home-brewed flower wine to try. My favorite plum wine was too strong, so I decisively gave up and chose peach blossom wine with a temperature of about 10 degrees.
I ordered a mushroom pot. This pot of soup contained 8 kinds of wild fungi. The soup base made from local chicken was added with Cordyceps sinensis, bamboo fungus, morel fungus, and porcini fungus. After serving it, there was a small timer. After opening fire, it could only be eaten after boiling for 30 minutes. Corn cake is very distinctive. It is a corncake wrapped in corn husks and made into a triangular shape. It has a light sweetness and can also taste the aroma of corn leaves. However, it should be eaten hot. When it is cold, it will not be soft and glutinous. feeling. Carved plum beef slices. I like this dish very much. It's sour and sweet. The plum and beef are fried together with colorful peppers and taste very good. Finally, they are thickened and poured into the sauce. It is a bit like Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine, which is very in line with my taste.
Rose milk milk fan soup. If you are not used to roasted milk fan, then the dessert made should suit your taste with the strong milk aroma. I think all girls like this dessert very much! I also have to ensure a balanced nutrition every day while traveling. I ordered a local stir-fried arugula and local green leafy vegetables, which is a very refreshing dish.

Xizhou Town is affiliated to Dali City, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is located in the north of Dali City, bordering Cangshan Mountain in the west and Erhai Lake in the east. It was called "Dali City" during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. It was one of the "Ten Peaks" during the Nanzhao period. It was the hometown of the movie "Five Golden Flowers". It is a famous historical and cultural town and one of the key overseas Chinese townships in Yunnan Province.
Xizhou is one of the birthplaces of Dali culture. It was already a place where the Bai people lived as early as when Liuzhao and Heman coexist. It was originally a city of Dali Heman. Shi Wanshou of the Sui Dynasty once stationed troops here, so it was called "Shicheng" or "Shishi". The old capital of Nanzhao in the Tang Dynasty was also built here. It was called Dali City at that time. At that time,"there were many people living in the city" and it was one of the "ten temples" in the Nanzhao period.
If you are also interested in tie-dyeing, you can go to Xizhou or nearby Zhoucun to experience DIY tie-dyeing and make a dress or scarf for yourself or your family. Xizhou Ancient Town is different from the ancient city of Dali. There are not so many tourists. The ancient city is not that big. It is a very satisfying thing to bask in the sun quietly in the yard on a winter afternoon.
If you have enough time, I don't recommend taking a battery bike. You can just walk. Moreover, there are many interesting alleys that battery cars cannot enter. You can rent a bicycle and slowly walk through the ancient town. You don't want to work. Put aside your worries and just want to look up at the blue sky and white clouds, and everything will be fine.
There are luxurious queen rooms, garden twin rooms, parent-child suites, sun queen rooms, and luxurious queen rooms. I live in a luxurious queen room. The room has a large space of 45 square meters. It has a simple Chinese decoration style. There is a bathtub and bathroom that separate dry and wet. The rooms are decorated warmly and elegantly. Whether cotton products or guest supplies are equipped with high-standard configuration. The facilities are complete, and the hardware and services are very good. The courtyard of the inn has a variety of meats, green plants, ponds, rockery, and a small terrace on the second floor. In the afternoon, two or three friends can drink tea and chat and live a slow life that belongs to Dali. The view on the third floor is wider. You can look up at the Cangshan Mountains and wait for a sunset.
During my stay in Dali, I would depart from the ancient city of Dali to the Erhai Lake every morning to watch the sunset. Erhaimen is the closest place to Erxi, and it takes only ten minutes to reach the place to watch the sunrise. I recommend the Caicun Wharf and Longkan Wharf. In the past two years, Dali's Erhai Lake has been under management. Now the Erhai Lake has really become much more beautiful. Many plank roads have been built along the lake. B & Bs and restaurants are also a certain distance from the river. It avoids the re-pollution of domestic sewage, but the renovated Erhai Lake is more beautiful than before. Cars are not allowed. You can ride bicycles or electric bicycles to play on foot. I recommend bicycles, which are environmentally friendly and can save physical strength.
