Liwan District is the Laocheng District of Guangzhou City. It has suddenly exploded recently. Although the cause is not a good thing, it has also attracted the world's attention to the excellence of its food culture and the profound cultural heritage.

A few days ago, a netizen raved online that Liwan District is a slum in Guangzhou. Presumably this netizen was not a local. You must know that from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, a large area of Liwan District and Yuexiu District was called Xiguan, a place where rich people lived. The famous Miss Xiguan lived here. Various green brick houses demonstrated the strength of wealthy families. Even Bruce Lee's father once bought a house in Yongqingfang.

As an Laocheng District, Liwan has excellent medical resources, food resources, educational resources and tourism resources. Yongqingfang, Liwan Lake Park, Shamian Island, Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, and Hualin Temple are all very representative tourist attractions.

Yongqing square

Yongqingfang is located in the historical district of Enning Road. It was unknown a few years ago. In recent years, after being transformed, it has become a check-in place for Internet celebrities. There are many strategies on the Internet to teach tourists to find the best photo spot, and the word "fire out of the circle" is used to describe this place. It is not an exaggeration.

Enning Road outside Yongqingfang mainly retains the arcade built in the early part of the last century. Yongqingfang is mainly composed of traditional Xiguan houses. In addition to Bruce Lee's ancestral residence, there is also an antique Cantonese Opera Art Museum next to it. It is a museum, but in fact It is a classical garden that perfectly matches the scenery of land and land.

The renovated Yongqingfang takes into account cultural characteristics and commercial atmosphere, and Lingnan customs are the biggest selling point here.

Renwei Ancient Temple

Renwei Temple is located on Renwei Temple Front Street, Longjin West Road, Liwan District, Guangzhou City, adjacent to Liwan Lake Park. The Taoist Emperor Zhenwu is dedicated here, and the temple has been built for nearly 1000 years.

For tourists, the biggest feature of Renwei Temple is not history, but the stone carving, wood carving, gray sculpture and other crafts in the temple.

The golden lacquer wood carvings of Renwei Temple mainly appear on the beams on both sides of the gate, expressing complex stories in every inch. The images of various characters, animals, flowers and plants are rich in layers, lifelike in details and without duplication, which is amazing.

Gray sculptures mainly appear on the roofs of ancient temples, and the content is mainly based on myths and legends and historical allusions. Each work is well-layered, the details are quite complex, and the colors are bright and impressive.

Gray sculptures are now national-level intangible cultural heritage, mainly distributed in Guangzhou City and Foshan City. They frequently appeared in various temples, ancestral halls and other buildings during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Liyuan

Liyuan is located in Liwan Lake Park, and many people do not pay attention to this place.

This is a typical Lingnan style classical garden. Although it is not large in area, it is carefully carved and crafted. The design between inches is very thoughtful. In particular, the layout of the stage, corridor and rockery complement each other, and you can visit the garden at will, as if traveling through ancient times.

During normal opening periods, visitors can climb to the second floor of Liyuan to enjoy the panoramic view of the garden. It is evergreen all year round, flowers can be seen in winter, and other seasons are full of vitality.

Liyuan is backed by the beautiful Litchi Bay. There is a three-level pool built in the park, separated by rocks in the middle.

This garden is open for free, and I hope I can visit it again soon.
