I heard about the name of Nanhai Temple a long time ago, and this time I finally had the opportunity to travel for myself
Nanhai Temple located in Miaotou Village, Huangpu, Guangzhou is the only one of the four largest and most complete sea goddess temples in China that has been preserved to this day. It is not only one of the birthplaces of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, but also a historical witness and important historical site of my country's foreign trade exchanges. It has a long history of more than 1400 years.
It's very convenient to get there. Take Metro Line 13 and you can see the quaint temple of Nanhai Temple from Exit C2. You can reach it by walking another 300 meters. You can also choose to take buses B1, B26, B29, B30 and get off at Nanhai Temple Station. The ten-yuan ticket is very cost-effective, and students can also enjoy a half-price discount.
The overall color of the Nanhai Temple is mainly red and black, which is very different from the yellow walls and green tiles we see on weekdays. Most of the words in the temple are drawn in gold, which looks elegant and dignified. The red and black color matching gives this temple a layer of calmness and mystery. You should know that the Nanhai Temple is the place where emperors and ministers sacrificed sacrifices to the sea god.
There are now 47 steles in the temple, all of which are emperors 'sacrifices and celebrities' inscriptions, including Han Yu's stele in the Tang Dynasty, Kaibao's stele in the Northern Song Dynasty, Hongwu's stele in the Ming Dynasty and Kangxi's stele in the Qing Dynasty. This forest of steles is also the most memorable part of my trip. Standing in front of these steles, the feeling of the weight of the rolling wheel of history hits my face. Every year from the 11th to the 13th of the second lunar month, local people hold grand temple fairs and sea sacrifice ceremonies.
According to an aunt nearby, in addition to ensuring peace, the marriage here is also very effective. There is also a saying that "the first time you visit a pineapple, the second time you marry a wife."
After spending a meaningful day at Nanhai Temple, I stayed at Senan Business Hotel, a branch of Wenchong Subway Station. As soon as I entered the hotel, the waiter warmly took over my luggage and brought me a glass of water. After check-in, the waiter smiled and led me to my suite. On the way, he introduced me to many nearby attractions and snacks. The corridor lights and suites of this hotel are warm yellow, giving people a feeling of home and instantly soothing the fatigue of a day's walking. The suite is equipped with software and hardware. The sheets are covered with pale pink petals, and the wooden bed plates and furniture create an atmosphere of being a monk. At night, there is actually a food street near the hotel. I have to say that Guangzhou is worthy of being one of the most edible cities. There are not only local delicacies such as roast geese, shrimp dumplings, and beef offal on the street, but also cool drinks such as herbal tea and lemon tea. Being a lover of food, I ate until late at night before returning to the hotel satisfied.
This trip to the Nanhai Temple in Guangzhou included fun, sightseeing, shopping and eating. It also learned about the culture of the ancients who sacrificed their sacrifices to the sea for good weather and rain. It was a full harvest. "The world is so big, I want to go and see it." I think life is like this. You must always be on the road. No matter how old you are, you must never let go of your restful heart that wants to go out and have a look.
