As a major province in China that loves food, Cantonese people have always been tireless in their pursuit of delicious food. At home, you must learn to cook home-cooked meals and make delicious soup. When traveling abroad, you must naturally find out what delicious local food is.

There is a saying among the people,"Food is in Guangzhou." What Guangzhou lacks most is all kinds of delicious food. With the development of the city, an endless stream of restaurants has blossomed all over Guangzhou, attracting many foreign tourists to check in.

Some time ago, a friend happened to come to Guangzhou. As a host, of course, you have to take friends around. I thought that the charm of some ancient towns in Guangzhou was well preserved, making it suitable to experience the style of Lingnan.

So they took a day out and the three of them went to Shawan in Panyu.

About ten years ago, Shawan was still Shawan at that time. It was not yet called "Shawan Ancient Town", and tourism was not developed locally.

Later, Shawan developed and became a tourist town. It appeared more in front of the public, and gradually became more famous.

Although the ancient town itself has a strong sense of history, it is not easy for people even in Guangzhou to visit.

There is no direct subway, which means inconvenient transportation for car-free people. Fortunately, things depend on people, so there is no harm in torturing them.

It is recommended that friends who plan to go can take Line 3 to Shiqiao first, and then take Bus No. 67. It only takes more than half an hour to reach their destination.

To be honest, it was indeed a bit of a rush to go around all the way. But it doesn't matter if you are tired or tired. There are many delicious food in Shawan Ancient Town, which is enough to comfort you who come here after a long journey.

A glimpse of Shawan

Shawan Ancient Town, built in the Southern Song Dynasty, has a history of more than 800 years. It is a typical ancient town in Lingnan. Rather than calling this a scenic spot, it is better to simply compare it to the home of ordinary people.

The ancient town still retains its simple atmosphere, and you will feel extremely cordial when walking between the alleys. It's like touching old memories, and your eyes are filled with old times that you can't go back.

When the sky was getting dark, I felt the signal of returning home ringing in my ears. There is no nightlife in the ancient town, except for the high-hanging fish lanterns that are slowly lit up to welcome the families returning from a busy journey.

Today's Shawan has been transformed and has become more refined and artistic, allowing people to come here in one go, not only to eat, but also to stay for the scenery.

Inventory of Shawan Food

While wandering around, of course, I will never forget the purpose of my trip to Shawan. So here's the highlight. What delicacies are there in Shawan that are worth trying?

The first thing to check in is Shawan's star "Dairy Queen". The store is very eye-catching. This two-story building has attracted many people's mouths.

You can scan the code and order directly by sitting down, which improves efficiency and makes it more convenient than before.

Ginger Buried Milk is the brand name of the store. Many people come to Shawan specially for this bite. I am craving dairy products myself. Every time I come to Shawan, I will definitely order a bowl to live up to this trip.

Ginger Buried Milk has both the sweet aroma of milk and the spicy flavor of ginger juice. The two completely different flavors collide together to create a unique taste, which makes it even more thick and long-lasting.

Because of the presence of ginger juice, the body will also warm up. It is a blessing to eat such a bowl of fresh ginger milk in winter.

In addition to ready-to-eat meals on site, there are also a variety of hand-mail options that can be taken away in the store. Not only is delicious, but you can also share it with relatives and friends. You can do your business well and take into account your nepotism.

I can't help but sigh that doing business really requires wisdom.

After eating ginger milk, go to the Chizha Cake Shop an alley away and buy an egg roll to try it. An old couple runs a small shop. Their home has two signature egg rolls, the original flavor and the seaweed and pork floss flavor.

I think the two flavors have their own merits, and radishes and greens have their own preferences. If I really feel conflicted, I can buy both. To use a popular saying today, children make choices, adults want them all.

It costs 12 yuan a box, and the price is also very affordable. The simple transparent packaging allows you to clearly see the neatly arranged egg rolls inside, and you can feel the fresh temperature in your palms.

Compared with those egg rolls wrapped in gift boxes on the wall, I prefer them freshly baked.

The egg roll has a cylindrical shape, which has a very good meaning. It rolls happiness together and symbolizes "reunion and blessing". Whether it is a gift or a purchase for yourself, it is good.

Walking along Anning Middle Street, there is also a wonton restaurant on the roadside that is also quite famous.

Cantonese people generally call it "wonton". For example, friends in Sichuan and Chongqing prefer to call it "hanshou". In some places in the north, they also call it "buns, wontons" and the like.

A small bowl of wontons costs 7 yuan. Counting there are 14 wontons in the bowl, which is equivalent to 50 cents each. This price is a conscience in the scenic area. Just because the price is cheap does not mean that the materials used must be arbitrary.

When you eat wonton, you can still taste the solid taste. The simple clear soup is the essence and does not cover up the umami taste of the meat filling. It is easier to test out the good or bad of a bowl of wonton.

I also ordered an extra bowl of fish skin horns. The portion was not much, and the price of 12 yuan was reasonable. However, the fish skin horns are not like wonton, and the ingredients are also different. Fish skin replaces flour, which is not easy to rot when cooked, and the taste is more refreshing and elastic.

Of course, if you want to eat the most authentic fish skin horns, you still have to go to Shunde. "Food in Guangzhou, chefs come from Fengcheng." Shunde is full of delicious food, so I can give you an advance visit first.

There is also a small town under Shunde called Jun 'an. Friends from other places may rarely hear of this place, but if Bruce Lee is mentioned, many people will suddenly understand it.

Jun 'an is the hometown of famous martial arts star Bruce Lee. In addition, Jun' an's fish cakes and steamed pigs are also unique.

As early as the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, fish cakes became popular in Jun 'an.

The people chopped the dace meat, pressed it into a cake shape, and then slowly fried it with slow fire, so that the appearance of the fish cake had a crispy taste. When you eat it inside, you can taste the minced fish meat, mixed with the thin and soft fish thorns, which is very delicious.

This fish cake shop in Shawan also serves several different flavors such as cuttlefish cakes. I usually just buy traditional fish cakes, and I have 10 of them for 20 yuan. After all, it is fried food. If you eat too much, you will feel full and greasy, making it more suitable for tasting slowly.

In addition to the introduction, Shawan also has many delicious local delicacies, such as Aunt Zhen's paparazzi porridge. Don't panic, just like there is no wife in a wife cake, paparazzi porridge has nothing to do with dogs.

Paparazzi porridge was originally a product of poverty and hardship. It doesn't require rich ingredients and can fill your stomach. Now that life is better, the ingredients in the porridge are richer and the taste is better.

There is also Apo beef offal that can be seen everywhere on the streets of Guangzhou. From a small stall to now open a chain store. I have to sigh that Apo is an Apo, and ginger is still spicy when old.

There are red and green store signs for Apo beef offal on the market. I heard that only green signs are the most authentic Apo beef offal. Seeing this, have you started to recall what color the nearby house was?

As night falls, you can go home after you have eaten and drank your fill. A day in the ancient town is pleasant and satisfying.

Tips:Shawan Ancient Town does not charge tickets and can enter and exit freely. If you want to visit small attractions in the ancient town, you need to purchase an additional 40 yuan joint ticket, including Liugentang, Academician He Binglin Memorial Hall, Sanren Hall, Yabai Art Museum, Shawan Guangdong Music Museum, etc.

As for whether it is worth it or not, you have the final say.

I am a thorn without any hedgehog, a self-media person who loves travel and also loves life. The little hedgehog takes you to see the big world, pay attention to me, and don't worry about eating, drinking and having fun!
