Guangzhou, it's so nice to see you after goodbye

February 4, the beginning of spring, the ninth day after returning to Chengdu from Guangzhou.

Thinking of how before the epidemic situation across the country deteriorated to severe, our family was in the cabin, in the subway, in the memorial hall, in the flower market... in various densely populated environments, exposing our neglected eyes, ears, nose, and nose. I was really scared to death.

Every moment after returning home, I was quietly observing the health of my family and myself: my mother was a little short of breath while working in the garden, my cubs had slight anorexia after eating and drinking, and I was wrapped in a down jacket and blown by the heating. Fever...

Based on the maximum incubation period of 14 days, we will not be completely safe until February 9.

But today, the alarmist worries have subsided. This is the third day we drank honeysuckle, scutellaria, and forsythia to boil water.

"Suppression" is much more useful to me than "prevention". In my wishful thinking but seeking peace of mind, this bowl of "Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid" and Tongfang Decoction will inevitably annihilate the viruses that are planning to wreak havoc in our bodies into an invisible manner, as if they had never been here at all.

I am very awake and never panic when I can calm down, but if the factors that constitute anxiety are traceable, if the side effects of eliminating anxiety are not so serious and the way to eliminate it is not so arduous, I will be willing to save myself.

When I feel relaxed, I want to record and share the Huacheng Tour under heavy pressure. I am not a passionate travel enthusiast, nor am I a meticulous strategy planner, so I can at most make a rough plan for the destination itinerary and never have the urgency of "taking a look at it all".

The Liwan District where we stayed was used to be called Xiguan. Its charm lies in its obsolescence.

The streets, communities, markets, shops, restaurants, and even the figures and faces coming and going here are full of the charm of years.

What this aura reveals is not decadence, dullness, or rigidity, but the freedom and self-confidence that comes at your fingertips. It is a lively and fragrant song that people and the environment understand their respective melodies and compose.

Before, Guangzhou was nicknamed "Huacheng", but I thought, didn't Kunming count as well? The main reason is that the preconceived impression of the Yunnan flower market is too deep.
Then the practical actions of the people in Guangzhou City told me that some places are at best good at flower marketing.

It turns out that the name "Flower City" is not because of its many flowers, but because of how much people love flowers. I have never seen flowers in a second city, and I deserve it!

In terms of attractions, Foshan Ancestral Temple lives up to expectations. Through observation of historical materials and the narration of the tour guide, Huang Feihong and Ip Man are no longer just two familiar names but cannot be detailed. Behind the widely admired spokespersons of Chinese kung fu, the heart-wrenching sorrow in their ups and downs have created them to become a real master.

("Look at me so cruel")

("Look at me in pain")

I have always preferred the folk art of lion dance. When gongs and drums are noisy, the colorful lion head combines southern martial arts with artistic interpretation. The lion's anthropomorphic laughter and anger all highlight the word "wake".

For the first time, I also learned that the black lion, which is rarely seen during performances, is the guard of various martial arts schools. It will only show its power when challenging the stadium or taking on a battle.

(The tight little hands with nowhere to place them express their admiration for the little brother)

Whampoa Military Academy, my father, as a second-generation red generation, was like a child, excitedly shuttled through various exhibition halls, searching for clues related to my grandfather that had been preserved by time.

The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is adjacent to Yuexiu Park, with outstanding people and lush areas.

The Guangzhou Library north of Haixinsha Square gave me envy and anxiety that the enchanting small waist on the other side couldn't compare with.

The facilities and atmosphere of the library are unique. It is no exaggeration to say that it was the only place on my trip that was hit hard by the "advantages of a first-tier city."

I envy the readers and learners who can stay here all day long. I was anxious that I could only make a brief break in, but just watching them look like a fish in water injected nutrients and energy into me.

Unfortunately, the planned Nanyue Palace Museum and Chen Family Temple were temporarily closed due to the serious epidemic.

In business districts such as Beijing Road, Shangxiajiu, and Taikoo Hui, I personally don't think there is any need to go to it. I can't see anything in Chengdu, what can't I buy? Nowadays, for domestic travel, only authentic souvenirs are worth buying.

The customs and customs of a city are all carried by its diet. Guangzhou, you sound delicious. From "Guangzhou's No. 1" to Shunde private kitchens, to various roadside shops, we always maintain an open stomach.

Snacks are also pretty good

Two days after the trip, he was bombarded with information on the epidemic, including truth and rumors. When Weibo received a tweet that "The deputy director of the Urban Management Bureau of Huangpu District in Guangzhou was diagnosed with COVID-19 and visited the flower market," he wanted to return to his own city and his home.

Baiyun Airport is empty, and the previously built Spring Blossom City is empty. The mask covering everyone's face is a sign of compliance with order and respect for each other.

Sichuan Airlines is really cordial. Chengdu people on their way home feel the warmth of being taken back to their parents 'homes.

The flight attendant also made a special trip to my brother's seat and gently asked if he had just said "Happy New Year" to the flight attendants one by one while on the plane, so they jointly decided to give him a small souvenir, which was so heart-warming.

Going home smoothly is a phased victory for my family and I in preventing the epidemic.

At the end of this extraordinary period of journey, I almost hope that it will end soon. Looking back now, although it is not perfect, it is generally full. I believe that when the tide comes, we will feel more grateful for the beauty hidden under the panic.
