I still chose to stay at Guangzhou Garden Hotel this time and loved it very much. This is the only platinum five-star hotel in South China with a history of more than 30 years. But what surprised me was that one year later, the changes here would be so great. I was really surprised!

The location here is very good. It is at the Taojin Station of Metro Line 5 and you can see the hotel when you come out. But this time I chose the airport pickup provided by the hotel. The service was really good. It was about 40 minutes 'drive from Baiyun Airport to the hotel.

By the way, the hotel has also launched a "Gold Medal Tour Guide" service. Hotel guests can experience it for free and have a deeper understanding of the garden culture. It is available at 10:00, 14:00, and 17:00 every day. You must make an appointment with the hotel in advance!

We followed the gold-medal guide to tour the Garden Hotel and walked into the lobby. The first thing that caught our eyes was the familiar large-scale gold-inlaid mural with the theme of "Dream of the Red Chamber". It depicts the life of the twelve beauties in Jinling and the prosperous scenes of the Grand View Garden. It is said to be the most representative cultural and artistic work of the Garden Hotel, which took more than 30 carvers more than 7 months to make it. A total of 200,000 pieces of gold foil (weighing 2 kilograms) were inlaid when the mural was built.

The ceiling on the top in the center is decorated with a "Golden Dragon Playing with Beads" caisson. It consists of square columns with bright patterns and wood carvings and gold-plated dragons. The pattern is modeled on the roof of the ancient Chinese royal palace.

After checking in, I went up to the 16th floor. Just like last year, I chose the executive Cantonese room.

The overall decoration of the room is in Chinese style, but various artistic elements are cleverly used to make the entire room look simple and fashionable, and the Chinese classics reveal a foreign flavor. I like it so much and it's easy to take photos!

At noon, I went to the hotel's Waterfall Falls Restaurant and ordered Western food, including salad, steak, pudding, etc.

This year, the restaurant here has turned into an Internet celebrity restaurant on social media, especially afternoon tea. Young Internet celebrities who come to check in can be seen everywhere taking photos in various concave shapes here.

We were lucky enough to sit in the best landscape position, next to the 4-meter-high gold-decorated statue of Liu Yuan, which is regarded as the patron saint of the hotel. It is reproduced in the Foshan Ancestral Temple in Guangdong and is a symbol of Lingnan totem culture.

Outside the window is a waterfall flying down.

The afternoon tea here is self-service. We ordered a table of Cantonese snacks, which was super satisfying!

After eating, go for a stroll in the back garden of the hotel. It is rare for a hotel with a back garden of more than 10,000 square meters in the city center! Large murals, rockery, running water, waterfalls, pavilions, green vegetation... Walking in a Chinese-style courtyard and walking along tree-lined paths is so pleasant...

In the evening, we ate at the hotel's Japanese restaurant. Every dish was particularly exquisite and delicious. Some dishes had very special sauces. There are appetizers, sashimi, barbecue, golden eel cut rolls, finger radish tempura, flame prawns with snowflake beef, black truffle crab seed chicken fried rice, coconut Dafu, etc.

I still had breakfast at Waterfall Falls Restaurant the next morning. I really liked this restaurant. It was full of Internet celebrity elements everywhere. The black and white floor tiles all had a European vintage feel. The breakfast buffet was also a combination of Chinese and Western styles. It was very selective. There were so many, and it was delicious!

After breakfast, stroll around the hotel. On the northeast side of the lobby, the ancient Greek Ionic style rotating wooden staircase is really exciting. If you can, you must put on a cheongsam, and the film release rate is 100%!

For lunch, I went to Taoyuan Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant I tried last year. The environment was very Chinese. The murals on the wall were portraits of the Three Kingdoms. Even the private rooms were named after people from the Three Kingdoms. It seemed to have traveled through the Three Kingdoms period...

I found that the menu here had also been changed, which was very different from last year. We ordered okra in sauce, shallots and Huaishan, double crispy flowers, Jiugong grid, kung fu new Guangchen orange stewed fresh ginseng, stuffed and baked fresh crab cover, roasted snowflake cow with pine needles and stone, baked with hundred flowers in pot wine, seafood tea oil fried rice bean sprouts, Yugui Chocolate Chifeng cake with light cream and miscellaneous nuts...

It is true that every dish has a unique flavor of Guangzhou, but it also has a Western-style delicacy, and no one steps on thunder!

This place is very suitable for family gatherings, business banquets, etc. It can be said to be the most distinctive Cantonese creative fusion dish I have ever tasted ~

This time, I was going to visit all the restaurants in Guangzhou Garden Hotel, so before leaving the hotel, I went to the Koi Bar to experience warm winter afternoon tea. The retro wooden dressing box afternoon tea was so creative! In the Garden Hotel, you can really feel the atmosphere of Chinese culture everywhere, but it does not lose the sense of fashion. The cultural flavor that combines Chinese and Western and can be seen everywhere is the charm of this hotel.

We sat by the floor-to-ceiling glass window, behind the hotel's back garden, enjoying the garden view while drinking afternoon tea.
