By watching food documentaries such as "Flavor in the World","Taste of Shunde", and "The Taste of Laoguang", you can truly understand the people of Shunde for food. But watching it late at night would be self-abuse. I was so greedy that I couldn't wait to suck my fingers to satisfy my cravings. Even if it rained heavily in Guangzhou, so what? No one could stop us and set off for Shunde!


The most original taste of every city may not come from the neon city center or the luxuriously decorated boutique restaurants, but is hidden deep in a small corner of the city, every alley that people walk through. About transportation:

There are two options for departure from Guangzhou: intercity trains and taxis

The intercity train starts from the south of Guangzhou and costs 10 yuan. It takes 10 minutes to reach Shunde Station. However, the departure time is relatively fixed, and after arriving at the station, you need to transfer to the bus or take a taxi to the store, which is more troublesome. For taxis, you can choose Didi Express or Hello for a ride, which is more convenient. The express train costs about 70 yuan, and the ride is slightly cheaper, about 50 yuan. If one or two people travel, you can choose the intercity train and take a taxi at Shunde Station. If you travel for 3 or 4 people, it is more convenient and affordable to choose a taxi.


Eel: Shunde's first specialized eel store

Eels serve fish are next to Jiaxin Square in Daliang. The facade is not big. When people come and go, it becomes a small corner shop. The black and low-key store is hung with the words "Eels serve fish", which is low-key and has connotation., as if thinking about diners silently telling the story of Shunde eels. It is also a scene store for CCTV's "The Story of the Eel", and it is very clever. The Cantonese pronunciation is the same as "everything goes well", which has a beautiful meaning full of expectations for the future.

As soon as you enter the store, you can see the all-glass open stalls, busy shop assistants, and fresh eels swimming in the tanks. The production process is clear at a glance, and you can eat with peace of mind!

The eels in the store use 4-6-month-old baby eel because this eel has a balanced ratio of meat and fat, and has few bones and tender meat. And they insist on taking eels from the farm every day to ensure the freshness of the eels.



Their dishes are very rich and can satisfy different people's choices. What is particularly recommended is his family's special eel full meal. There are many types, including special fried eel, Wuchang fragrant rice, sashimi group, kombu white shellfish clear soup, weekly selected side dishes, and homemade sour cucumber cabbage. Everything you arrange is right before and after the meal.

An eel report is placed on every dining table. The sentences "Shunde is the hometown of eel in China" and "Shunde eels are safe in the world" are obviously eye-catching.

If you don't like the eel roasted with tubai, you can change it to white roast. Both tubai roast and white roast pay attention to two roasting and one steaming. That is, the eel is roasted back and forth 2-3 times, remove the fish oil, and then place it in the steamer to steam, so that the meat melts immediately in the mouth. The last step is to roast tubai with juice, and the white roast with salt and pepper.

There is a saying in Shunde: "Before Shunde, there was Baolin." Due to historical reasons, the original Baolin Temple hall was later transferred to other uses. Due to the reconstruction of the old city, the temple's old appearance was difficult to restore.

Once you have entered the temple, you can see a golden Buddha. Climb up the steps and reach the top of the mountain, you can overlook the city style of Shunde. There is also a fasting hall halfway up the mountain, where you can go and taste it.

Near Baolin Temple is another entrance to Shunfeng Mountain Park, so you can stop by and have a stroll.



Shunfeng Mountain Park: Good place to go on weekends

Shunfeng Mountain Park is mainly composed of green mountains, two lakes and two towers. It is very spectacular.

The Qingshan Pagoda, formerly known as the Shenbu Pagoda, was built in the Ming Dynasty (1602). In addition, there are 24 scenic spots such as Guihai Fangcong, Tingzhi Garden, Buyunjing, and Yazheng Garden for tourists to watch and play.

The giant archway in the park is a landmark building on Shunfeng Mountain and is called the "First Archway in China" because of its large scale.

It is a good place to relax on weekends! But there are many mosquitoes in summer, so remember to bring mosquito repellent water!

Shunde people's attainments in food are not just a roast goose.

Shang was a hot pot restaurant with both taste and emotion back then. As soon as I entered, I felt different from the outside world. I instantly traveled back to Shunde in the 1980s and 1990s. You enter the door with a very contemporary motorcycle, and there are many psoriasis advertisements posted on the mottled walls.


All kinds of time-sensitive objects, typewriters and abacus, seem to have been used by my grandfather. Every small corner of the store is a beautiful scenery, full of memories from childhood in the 1980s and 1990s.


The surrounding walls are all Shunde landmarks from the 1980s and 1990s, such as Huagai Market Beef Store, Donghua Hotel, etc. I really thought I had traveled to Shunde in the 1980s and 1990s.

"Shangnian" focuses on fresh beef hot pot. It is also a rare hot pot restaurant in Shunde that combines buffalo and beef beef, attracting many hot pot enthusiasts to check in. No more than 30% of the parts of a cow that can be used for beef hotpot, so it is precious to eat a fresh and authentic beef hotpot meal.

In order to take care of friends who don't eat spicy food, there are also Yuanyang pot to choose from, so you don't have to worry about not having enough food.

Although the method of stir-fried rice noodles is actually quite simple, it is not easy at all to make this stir-fried rice noodles well. It is a very common dish, but I rarely order it because I am afraid it will be too greasy. But this fried rice noodle shop is very refreshing and likes it!

The beef here is all special beef and buffalo beef, freshly cut and sold. Cut the beef into a very thin piece, an oversized piece, closely arranged, and the oil evenly distributed. Put it in a boiling pot and blanch it for 8 seconds. The taste is just right, especially tender and chewy. It's completely made for carnivorous stars and it tastes super delicious!


The tender and firm feeling of beef will spin in the mouth for a long time. The strong beef flavor will rush over the taste buds, making people close their eyes and enjoy this rare satisfaction.

My favorite is beef breast oil. It will float up after putting it in the pot and boiling it for a few minutes. It is particularly tenacious. The moment it enters the mouth, it feels secretly competing with the mouth. It has a strong aroma and a different taste experience.

The bathroom and toilet are completely separated to avoid the embarrassment of two people using it at the same time. The mirror is also very user-friendly. Considering the needs of different heights, we no longer need to look in the mirror with electrical toes.

I have long heard that there is a restaurant in Lunjiao. There are long queues every day. It takes a long time to get a place. Because it has a high-quality environment and smooth and beautiful products, it has become a "new famous brand of Shunde Food + a new landmark of Lunjiao Food". Then I must go to the treasure to explore delicious food!


Entering the restaurant and seeing the spacious pillarless hall, which was packed, I thought it was hosting a banquet or a company annual meeting. The popularity was so high that it was surprisingly high! It is also equipped with advanced lighting and sound, 360-degree automatic lifting stage, etc. to meet various banquet needs. It was the waiter who introduced more than 200 dishes from Zhenbao Restaurant. Today's food is probably just the tip of the iceberg!

The improved spicy beef has shed its thick spicy flavor and appeared in a more gentle way. The children did not feel spicy after eating one piece after another.

Passion fruit pudding is my favorite. It is sweet and sour and appetizing, cool and smooth. You can taste the faint flavor of passion fruit and milk with a spoonful of it. The taste is tender and smooth, and it's still freshly made!
