During the Spring Festival of 2020, a sudden COVID-19 virus hit us. Our original leisure tour of Kagoshima, Japan, had to be cancelled and stayed at home to fight the epidemic together. Every day at home, walking around living room-bedroom 1-living room-bedroom 2, I especially miss the time when "I" flew in the vast sky. Thinking of the Spring Festival in 2019, we recorded the wonderful time of our six-member family's six-day happy tour of Guangzhou and Shenzhen and shared it with our relatives.

Day 1 Shanghai-Guangzhou: Shamian Street-Shamian Park

In Guangzhou, we stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel, the subway was convenient, and our mobile phone was connected to the Guangzhou subway. Let's go ~~
Shamian is located in the southwest of the urban area of Guangzhou City, bordering the Pearl River Baietan in the south and Shaji Chung in the north. It is a small island facing 623 Road. It was once called Shicui Island, so it is named Shamian because it is a sandbank formed by the alluvial Pearl River. Shamian was a key trade and tourist destination at home and abroad in China during the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It witnessed the changes of Guangzhou's modern history. Shamian Street is the widest tree-lined avenue on Shamian Island. The European-style buildings on both sides form a unique open-air architectural "museum".

The former HSBC Bank, Taihe Bank (UK), Soviet Consulate, etc. are all on both sides of this street.

Day 3, Guangzhou Tower-Night Tour of the Pearl River

Canton Tower is one of the iconic cultural landscapes of Guangzhou City, nicknamed Xiaomanyao. It is located near Chigang Tower in Haizhu District (Yizhou Island), Guangzhou City, 125 meters away from the south bank of the Pearl River, facing Pearl River New City, Huacheng Square and Haixinsha Island across the river. Guangzhou Tower is the tallest tower in China and the fourth tallest tower in the world, second only to Burj Khalifa in Dubai in United Arab Emirates (which has been visited), Sky Tree TV Tower in Tokyo, Japan, and KVLY TV Tower in North Dakota. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction.

Day 4 Guangzhou-Shenzhen

I am leaving Guangzhou for Shenzhen today. Let's take stock of Guangzhou's delicious food: Guangzhou people pay attention to "no worries about the essence of food", and Guangzhou morning tea is a folk dietary custom. In the teahouse, order a pot of tea and a table of exquisite small dishes + snacks, and brunch will be ready. I was so carried away that I didn't take photos of the delicious food, but I just wanted to show myself.

To Shenzhen by train, stay at Shenzhen Fulin Hotel near the railway station and adjacent to Luohu Port, making travel more convenient.

Tour Shenzhen at night, visit the night market, and experience the life of Shenzhen people.

Day 5 Shenzhen Haibin Ecological Park

The picture below shows that the green plants growing on the beach are mangroves. Isn't it strange? Why is it called a mangrove forest that is obviously green? It is said that mangrove plants are periodically submerged by seawater, so that their bark is rich in tannic acid. If they are cut down or destroyed, the tannic acid will quickly oxidize when it encounters air, making the trunk red. This is the origin of the name "mangrove".
