Karst landforms, also known as karst landforms, are widely distributed in China. So what is China's most famous karst landforms? Ask you, what would you think of first? ---- Guilin in Guangxi and Stone Forest in Yunnan, right? Today we will come to Guilin to have a look.
Guilin's mountains and rivers and karst caves have long taken root in the memory of generations of Chinese people. Qixing Rock and Reed Flute Rock have also long been famous. In recent years, Guilin has developed many new karst caves, all with beautiful scenery. Yinziyan Cave is the largest among them and the largest number of stalactites.
So as a miracle of nature, do you know how the cave was formed?
We know that the Castel landform is mainly distributed in limestone areas, and the main component of limestone rocks is calcium carbonate, which is insoluble in water. However, in nature, calcium carbonate slowly reacts with water and carbon dioxide. Calcium carbonate becomes calcium bicarbonate that can be soluble in water, and slowly flows away with the water flow. As a result, the limestone area is gradually dissolved and divided into various, steep and beautiful peaks or strange landforms with ravines and lined with stone pillars.
As for the cave, the water that penetrated into the limestone reacts with calcium carbonate to form water-soluble calcium hydrogen carbonate. When it drops from the roof of the cave, a decomposition reaction occurs to form calcium carbonate, carbon dioxide and water. In this way, the dissolved calcium hydrogen carbonate becomes a solid again. Calcium carbonate continues to leak downward as the water continues to leak and slide down, and slowly solidifies layer by layer. Over time, various stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone waterfalls, stone curtains, etc. gradually formed a magical and beautiful cave world.
Back to Yinziyan, why is it called this name? It is said that because there are many stalactites in the cave, which are crystal clear, and they will reflect a shining light like silver under the illumination of the light, everyone gave it this rich name "Silver One Rock". Now, against the backdrop of modern neon lights, the scenery in the cave is even more dazzling and magnificent!
The karst cave currently open to tourists in Yinziyan is about 2 kilometers long.(The inner underground river is still being developed, and I look forward to being able to visit it by boat in the future.) It includes three parts: the lower cave, the hall and the upper cave. From the bottom to the top of the rock, it is about 16 stories. As high as a building.
There are deep and dangerous ravines in the cave, and some places only allow one person to pass through. Walking is still a little thrilling. There are many huge stone pillars, stalagmites, stone curtains, stone curtains, stone waterfalls, etc. in the cave, as well as many strange shapes that keep you from seeing them all the way. There are dozens of special attractions, among which the music stone screen, the Guanghan Deep Palace, and the snowy mountains and waterfalls are the three unique attractions. There are also attractions such as Buddha's Sutra Discussion, Single Pillar Reaching Sky, and Mixed Origin Pearl Umbrella. You can use your imagination and slowly appreciate it.
The stalactites at the Music Shiping Scenic Spot tilt down like the Milky Way, shining with diamond-like light. Under the colorful lights, it is even more magical and charming.
"Water Mirror Reflection" is a pool of spring water, with fantasy stalactites reflected in the water. Looking at it, the real scene and the illusion are connected together. It seems that the water is unfathomable, like an extremely deep ravine. It is the place where tourists take photos the most.
As we walked, we admired the extraordinary craftsmanship of nature. It was so exquisite and unpredictable that it created such a wonderful underground art palace for us!
Take a look at the entire cave and take photos. It's not so rushed. It takes about two or three hours to walk down, and you will still feel a little tired. However, after seeing these beautiful scenery, you will feel that it's worth it! After all, traveling is also a manual job!
While re-editing these photos, I unknowingly enjoyed and reminisced about the beautiful scenery again. Yinziyan still makes me feel that this trip worthwhile!
I hope this article can bring you a little help and reference. If you are tempted, you can collect it first and wait until the epidemic is over, you can relax your body and mind.
Guilin people said: "After visiting Yinziyan, you will never lack money for the rest of your life." Okay, the last picture was taken from Treasure Cave. It's a lot of money!
Attraction tickets: 80 yuan/person for adults, free for children under 1.4 meters
Opening hours 8:30~17:30
We went on a trip on June 25 just after the summer vacation. At that time, the crowd was not so crowded. A few days later, the peak of the summer vacation began to be crowded. So if you want to travel during the summer vacation, it's best to avoid the peak so you don't have to go to scenic spots to see people!
Also, although it is cool in the cave in summer, it will get a little hot after walking for a long time. You can prepare a fan or a small fan in advance, it will still be very useful!
In order to thank the vast number of medical workers who have made selfless contributions during the epidemic, as of December 31, 2020, medical staff across the country can visit the park for free with valid certificates.
What you need to pay attention to when visiting Yinziyan is:
Some of the roads inside are steep and slippery
Elderly people and children should try not to go.
In addition, Yinziyan has a strong commercial atmosphere. There is a long commercial street at the entrance and exit. This makes many people complain. The small vendors who take photos for free and the names of the people do not have a good reputation. Pay attention to avoid falling into the scenic spots. Routine.
Yinziyan is 85 kilometers away from the center of Guilin City and 18 kilometers away from Yangshuo County. For outsiders, self-service travel transportation is not convenient. It is recommended to travel with a group of Guilin + Yangshuo + Lijiang + Longji Terrace, because some landmark attractions in Guilin are scattered, making it easier to follow a group.
There are some very cheap day tours on the Internet. They often take tourists to visit some scenic spots with little viewing value or take tourists shopping, which wastes a lot of time and money. Try not to participate cheaply. Find a regular website or a regular travel agency.
In addition: Guanyan is also very fun. There is a saying that "sea, land and air" three-dimensional and multi-dimensional travel. Guandong Cave is equipped with automatic light control and voice-activated guide systems, trams, yachts and sightseeing elevators. Interested friends can also visit there, which is also a good choice.
I didn't know it before visiting the Yinziyan Cave. It turns out that the cave landscape is still widely distributed in our country. Hunan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, and Guangxi provinces and regions are more distributed, but other provinces also have it. If you don't have time to travel far away, you can look nearby. You may be surprised. There is a cave not far from your door!
Below are the five most beautiful karst caves in China. Friends who are interested in this can visit them if they have the opportunity!
1. Huanglong Cave in Zhangjiajie, Hunan
2. Tenglong Cave, Icheon City, Hubei Province
3. Zhijin Cave, Bijie, Guizhou
4. Furong Cave, Wulong, Chongqing
5. Xueyu Cave, Fengdu County, Chongqing City
There are also friends from Henan who can go to Jiguan Cave, Luanchuan County, Luoyang City to view the cave. I heard it is also very beautiful! (There are karst caves in the Central Plains area? Surprised! Not surprised!)
