Secret Garden/Secret Garden

Secret Gardens are several Qing Dynasty houses renovated by South African architect Ian Hamilton. It has grown from 2 houses in 2012 to 6 houses now, with 18 rooms. Ian was called a lunatic in Yangshuo. Under his leadership, many villagers gave up plans to demolish old houses and started the business of country homestays.

We didn't visit the hotel, just ate in the restaurant and packed pizza and cake later.

80% of the population in Longsheng District are ethnic minorities. There are Longji Zhuangzhai, Baimian Yaozhai, Ximen Yaozhai, Yinshui Dong Village, Jinzhu Zhuangzhai, etc. in the county.

Longsheng is most famous for its Longji Terrace. In addition, Longsheng Hot Spring, Yanmen Gorge Rafting, etc. can be experienced.

Terrace fields can be built in not all hilly areas. Terrace fields are mostly distributed between 300 meters and 1100 meters above sea level, with slopes between 26-35 degrees. The Longji Terrace was built in the Yuan Dynasty and was still under construction until the early Qing Dynasty.
