written in front

In the past two years, travel enthusiasts who have been driven crazy by the epidemic must have had a difficult time, and I am the one who empathizes with it. Since I went to the Northwest China during the summer vacation of 2019, I have not traveled to Beijing. Although I planned twice in the middle, I had to cancel the trip due to repeated "COVID-19" events. At that time, I felt so itchy when I refunded my ticket and hotel.

This time, I was quite hesitant because our family's situation was quite special. The old man was in his 80s, with many children, and the third child was only over one year old. In addition, there was a puppy who was really reluctant to be placed in foster care in a pet store, so ordinary airplane travel was really not suitable (the child couldn't wear a mask on the plane; my husband didn't have time to go with him in previous years, so he could take care of the puppy at home).

With many people and a lot of luggage, it's okay to drive two cars, but the journey is too long, and the elderly and children will inevitably feel uncomfortable sitting there. How can they have the strength to enjoy the journey? In this way, we had the firstmotorhome holiday】!

Beijing-Sanya-Beijing itinerary planning

Let's first report our actual Beijing-Sanya round-trip route (it only lists tourism-related destinations, but does not include places to stay overnight. Details are shown in the two pictures below)

Departure: Beijing-Wuhan-Yangshuo-Haikou-Lingshui-Sanya (vacation)

Return journey: Sanya-Wanning-Zhanjiang-Guilin-Changsha (relative)-Yueyang-Beijing

Beijing-Sanya (round-trip) RV self-driving tour map

Regarding the itinerary, I actually made three versions, but I had to give up my "full" travel dream because of the rainy weather and the general cooling in advance. If you can't achieve it, don't blind my hard work in vain. Share it here, and even if you have passed the addiction in your heart.

"Dream version"Departure: Beijing-Wuhan-Yueyang-Changsha (relative)-Zhangjiajie-Phoenix-Guilin/Yangshuo-Haikou-Lingshui-Sanya (vacation)

"Dream version"Return: Sanya-Wanning-Zhanjiang-Guangzhou-Nanchang-Nanjing-Tai 'an-Beijing

This "huge" plan allows you to appreciate differentMountains and rivers(Yangtze River/Dongting Lake/Zhangjiajie/Guilin Mountains and Waters/Mount Tai...), you can also experience the journey throughhistorical Humanities(Yellow Crane Tower/Yueyang Tower/Tengwang Pavilion/Phoenix Ancient City/Guangzhou Shamian/Ancient Capital Nanjing/Origin of Confucius and Mencius...); Not only can it achieveseascape holiday(Hainan), it can also be enjoyed by three childrenCarnival Park(Guangzhou Chimelong "Series"), of course, there are also essentialReunion of relatives and friends(Changsha).

Maybe I have been holding back in the past two years, but I have been too greedy in this plan, so it is inevitable that I have a little regret.

★ In particular, the RV can't use the water supply system when the temperature is below zero (the water pipes are frozen), which is not convenient for my one-year-old children (I'm a little obsessed with cleanliness), so this is also why I gave up part of the trip. One of the reasons.

However, plans do not change as quickly as possible. Although we have gone through the "dream version","simplified version" and "definite version", our actual journey has still changed a lot due to various factors (the figure below shows the actual journey)

Beijing-Sanya (round-trip) RV self-driving tour itinerary (compare with original plan)

Compared with the last itinerary plan before departure, there are several major changes:

1. The day of departure was too long. It was already past 4 o'clock in the afternoon when we left Beijing, so the arrival in Wuhan was delayed, making it impossible for Wuhan to have enough fun.

2. Due to the epidemic, when Haikou entered the port, people from Beijing were required to provide nucleic acid results twice within 48 hours. We had to make up for it once. Coupled with the delayed ferry time, we stayed up all night before checking into the hotel in Haikou until after 7 a.m. In order to avoid being too tired and affecting the vacation status, a day of rest time was temporarily added in Haikou and the "one-day trip to Wuzhizhou Island" between Haikou and Sanya was cancelled (the 80-year-old mother was also restricted from boarding the island).

3. In view of Haikou's experience, we contacted the epidemic prevention department in Guangzhou in advance and were told that there was a risk of being "quarantined at home", so we temporarily cancelled our trip to Guangzhou and switched to "Guilin".

Okay, after so much chatter, we can finally get to the point--

Travel dates: January 18 to February 7, 2022 (21 days)

Travel type: RV self-driving tour

Travelers: 4 adults, 3 children, 1 dog-mother (84 years old), three children (the eldest monkey is 9 years old, the second monkey is 5 years old, and the third princess is 1 year old), husband (it is rare to travel together), me, aunt

Thoughts on the theme of "color system"

It turns out that every trip is either a panoramic immersion of a destination or a vivid experience. This time, the long-distance self-driving while walking is indeed very different. It feels like a switch of various journey channels. If it was just a daily record of the trip, it would feel too trivial and messy, so I couldn't find the feeling when writing the travel notes.

When I looked through the photos and videos on my mobile phone (actually, taking care of the children took too much energy and didn't take many photos), there was only one word in my mind-"color contrast", so I wrote the title.A contrasting journey between "National Trend" and "Macaron"

National tide color system: Wuhan, Guilin, Yangshuo, Changsha, Yueyang, Zhanjiang

"National Trend"I like this word very much.

From the songs of Jay Chou/Fang Wenshan to the popularity of Han costumes and Tang costumes; from the shaking sound of Chinese dance to the cultural, creative and loving objects of the national style series... I don't know when, the presentation of Chinese traditional culture gradually began."Tide"Get up. I like this sense of integration of history and the present. The introduction of traditional cultural elements does not have to be rigidly adhered to textbook-like "rules", and no longer limits the "national style" to academic schools."Popular sense" means love and "popularization" is culture.

Speaking of which, I don't have a background in art, and I even say that I am a little weak in color, but I especially like the term for color in Chinese culture.

Tea white, crow green, lotus lotus root, bamboo moon, carmine, water blue, dusk mountain purple... every word that describes color is like a picture of ink dripping with ink, a poem with a long charm. It is not a symbol of color, but a world that allows you to breed endless reverie.

(Mobile phone photography technology is limited, so it's up to you to imagine the journey.)

January 19 [Wuhan] Yellow Crane Tower, Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge

People in the past had already gone by yellow cranes, and there was no Yellow Crane Tower here. The yellow crane is gone forever, and the white clouds have drifted in the sky for thousands of years. Qingchuan is covered by Hanyang trees, and fragrant grass is lush on Parrot Island. Where is the sunset village? The Yanbo River makes people sad. -- cui Hao

"The lonely sail shadows the blue sky in the distance, and only the Yangtze River flows in the sky"-"Yellow Crane Tower Delivers Meng Haoran to Guangling"

The ancient poems are paired with this modern building group and bridge, and it feels a little out of your body, haha.

February 05 [Yueyang] Yueyang Tower, Dongting Lake

As I mentioned at the beginning, my original itinerary plan included the "three famous buildings in Jiangnan"-Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower, and Tengwang Pavilion. Unfortunately, the schedule was shortened and the Tengwang Pavilion was abandoned. I only saw the appearance of the Yellow Crane Tower in a hurry. I wanted to comfort my humanistic feelings in Yueyang Tower for the last time, so in addition to the night view the previous night, I also planned to take the children to the building early the next morning. I went upstairs again. As a result... the journey with three children and some luggage was really unavoidable.

Although it is dimly lit and has scenery, it is far from being able to experience the exquisiteness and charm of the times (Yueyang Tower is the only ancient building among the three famous buildings in Jiangnan that maintains its original appearance).

Ancient literati's poems about Yueyang Tower were often inseparable from Dongting Lake

Yueyang Tower was admired last month. -- fan zhongyan

I used to hear about Dongting water, but now I go to Yueyang Tower. The southeast of Wu and Chu is cracked, and the universe is floating day and night. -- Du Fu

Dongting has always been good, but it is always in Yueyang Tower. The bright moon is a thousand miles away, and the cold light is thirty thousand autumn. -- Mei yaochen

We lived in Yueyang Shangsu·Yuehu Tower Inn (balcony and lake view family suite) opposite the gate of Yueyang Tower Scenic Area and also on the shores of Dongting Lake. The picture above shows the lake light and sunset taken on the balcony of the hotel room.

This B & B hotel is quite interesting and can be regarded as a suitable choice for the occasion

There is a "Bianhe Street" downstairs of this B & B hotel (let's not bother with the name), which is a commercial street with antique buildings, which is a little special. We came back from a night trip to Yueyang Tower and took a little stroll

I was so immersed when eating stinky tofu that I forgot to take photos, hahaha

It is said that Xiao Qiao's Tomb (Erqiao's Tomb) is north of Yueyang Tower. So some merchants used Erqiao as a sign, and I also came to join in the fun.

January 20 [Yangshuo]

The last time I went to Yangshuo was in October 2018. This time I was a self-driving tour, so I just booked the hotel in the Yulong River Scenic Area-Yangshuo Resort Hotel (Riverside Platform Family Suite) to enjoy a little poetic scenery while taking a break. Although it wasn't enough fun, it was also very emotional.

These are all the scenery in the hotel-the Yulong River is close at hand, bamboo rafts and light boats sway past, green mountains and blue waves form their own poems and paintings, and the leisure is elegant and leisurely.

Here, moving is the beautiful scenery; for me, movement and movement generate emotion.

As for the children…

Eldest son: Having a big Chinese class in the mountains and rivers is a mixture of emotions and scenes

Second son: Are you thinking about life? Anyway, he kept saying that he liked this hotel all the way, so he didn't stay in enough.

Third Princess: In addition to "lying flat", as a group pet, she has always been reduced to a prop for group photos, hahaha

Make up a few photos of the hotel's environment-I like it very much

restaurant

When the children saw the fireplace for the first time, they were extremely excited and fiddled with it for a long time.

February 02 [Guilin]

As I said at the beginning, in fact, there was no stop in Guilin in our return plan. However, due to the epidemic, the route north from Guangzhou was cancelled, so we returned to Guilin. I booked a B & B in Ludi Scenic Area two days in advance, which was a surprise.

Let's take a few beautiful photos I picked up on the way

In fact, I have never really liked rainy weather, but it seems that Guilin's mountains and rivers only appear particularly beautiful and ethereal in the clouds and rain.

Here we are at the hotel-Guilin Heshe Lakeside Resort Hotel (Family Duplex Suite with Room and Lake View)

Our room was a duplex, and the high floor-to-ceiling windows seemed to set the landscape outside the window in a frame.

The two brothers shouted "It's so beautiful" as soon as they entered the house

There is a small reading area on the first floor of the hotel. In addition to culture and history, there are many books about calligraphy and painting. I heard from the front desk staff that the owner of the hotel is not an insider, but he just loves these things, so the hotel also hangs many paintings (modern painters).

A lot of thought was put into the small details of the hotel's environmental layout.

In addition, this hotel allows pets, which is very nice

1.31~2.01 [Zhanjiang] passed! Big! Year! La!

Originally, I planned to celebrate the Spring Festival in Guangzhou ~~ So, this New Year's Eve was a bit "unexpected".

On the afternoon of the 30th, we drove all over Zhanjiang to find a place to eat New Year's Eve dinner. Unexpectedly, most businesses were closed, and the only few that were open were open until 16:00. I searched online for restaurants that were "open as usual during the Spring Festival" and made several phone calls, but they all got the same answer. Except for dinner in Western restaurants, Chinese restaurants are all happily going home to celebrate the New Year-this is the complete opposite of the popular scene of "New Year's Eve dinner" in Beijing restaurants. What should I do? I can't eat Western food on New Year's Eve. It's too senseless.

Fortunately, there is no end to heaven. I passed through a "Spicy Hero" Chongqing hotpot restaurant and asked with the idea of being a living doctor. It was possible, YYDS!

To be honest, it really doesn't matter what you eat. The key is that there is someone rushing for the New Year, right?

After dinner, there was still some time before the Spring Festival Gala. Her husband suggested driving around Zhanjiang, a big city, buying some snacks, and "fully armed" to prepare for the Spring Festival Gala.

Of course, I also have my plans to see if there are still Spring Festival lanterns, ornaments and so on. It's New Year!

Don't mention, there are really some on the roadside! (Except for small convenience stores and New Year goods sellers, basically all other stores closed their doors early and went home for fun).

I also bought a potted flower (the flowers in the picture below are)

The Spring Festival Gala has begun

New Year is a good time

The only small regret is that my husband and I were originally wearing the same series of parent-child costumes as the children. Unfortunately, this big group of people were busy eating and having fun, and no one refused to cooperate with me to take a family photo.

In addition, since I didn't plan to spend New Year's Eve in Zhanjiang, the hotel booking here was a bit "failed". According to my past routine, when booking a hotel, you have to have a view outside the window and features inside the door, and you have to ensure that the children have a large space to move around, so most of me will book suites or apartments with rooms and halls. But the photos of this family "fooled" me. For me, who has always claimed to be a "free traveler", it is somewhat depressed.

2.03~2.04 [Changsha] Visiting relatives and friends, Juzizhou Tau, Du Fujiang Pavilion

Visiting people during the New Year is indispensable. But it was many years ago that I came to Changsha's aunt's house for the New Year. This is also a rare reunion.

Southerners really know how to cook. My relatives 'craftsmanship can casually open a Hunan restaurant in Beijing, which is absolutely popular! In other words, the past two days have exhausted me, and I finally experienced the feeling of gaining three pounds during the New Year (in previous years, my aunts at home all went home for the New Year, and they were busy with the children and cleaning up housework, so I had to lose weight every Spring Festival).

Men drink, women stroll

Changsha lives in a hotel apartment-Yishe River View Hotel (see Juzhou River View Suite). The room is average, but the Xiangjiang River outside the window is quite worth it.

The room is very small, very small, and it is really cold this season. The air conditioning in the room is not flattering.

Du Fu Jiangge

I once again proved through personal experience that northerners are really not as cold as southerners. This froze me so much that even if the air conditioner is turned on in a room without heating, it feels even more sour than outdoors. The barbecue in the picture below is probably a must-have artifact for people in the south. People roast their feet and hold a quilt on their legs. My three children sit directly on the barbecue, wrapped in the quilt. Even if I am a cleanliness freak, I can't care about it.

Video summary of Zhanjiang and Changsha

Macaron color-Hainan vacation

Peach powder, baby blue, matcha green, tender apricot yellow, taro purple, caramel coffee...

I like this macaron color system with low saturation. It always makes people feel warm, sweet, soft and smooth, colorful and low-key, sweet and refreshing, and the small and fresh taste is filled with a sense of luxury.

[Scenery]Coconut Grove in the Eastern Suburb of Haikou and Wenchang

, Sanya Yalong Bay

January 22 [Haikou]

Traveling is like climbing a mountain. There is often a destination. People like the grand scenery of "seeing all the mountains at a glance", but I think the beauty along the way cannot be missed. The dead trees and wild flowers, birds and butterflies on the roadside on the way to climb the mountain, even if it is just a ray of green fog in the mountains and a one-meter beam of light between the branches, will make me feel refreshed.

Every day and every stop during the journey, there is something worth discovering, experiencing, and perceiving, even if it is a small way to stay.

Although Haikou is a seaside city, it is not the kind of place I like. However, when I came from Guangdong to ferry the Qiongzhou Strait, this is the only place to stay.

The apartment hotel I booked in Haikou was specially located next to the Binhai Avenue near Xiuying Port Wharf. Downstairs you will find a comfortable seaside pedestrian corridor. It's still very pleasant to stroll leisurely while blowing the sea breeze. Originally, I didn't like buildings in a panoramic view, but here, the streets are very clean and there are not many pedestrians, which slows me down. It seems that my journey from the past few days has suddenly switched to the vacation channel, which is very comfortable.

January 23 [Wenchang Eastern Suburb Coconut Grove]

The Dongjiao Coconut Grove was actually a scenic spot many years ago. At that time, people didn't travel much, so when they came to Hainan, they would always experience the tropical characteristics of the island, which is what we call "check-in" now.

When I was planning my itinerary, I planned to switch to "vacation mode" from the moment I entered Hainan, so I reserved a three-day drive from Haikou to Sanya (in fact, I can drive there in half a day). You can't miss it when you pass by, then go to Wenchang to see the coconut forest in the eastern suburbs.

There are many coconut sellers on the road here, and our family agrees that green ones are better than yellow ones.

1.25~1.29 [Sanya Yalong Bay]

Although this place cannot be compared with the sea and beaches of Maldives, the blue sea, blue sky, and coconut wind and green green trees make us northerners who are "imprisoned" in the city every day instantly break through.

The above pictures were taken while on vacation at the Yalong Bay Seaside Hotel

It is also early morning, overlooking the beautiful scenery of the sunrise between the sea and the sea in the mountains, which makes people admire the beauty and beauty of nature. I originally took several photos of the magnificent sunrise between mountains and seas at the Bird's Nest Hotel in Tropical Paradise in Yalong Bay, but the travel notes were "not approved" because there were "secrets" here. No wonder there was a reminder at the gate-you can't play with that kind of photography drone or something... I can't say the details. hehehe

[Hotels] Haikou, Lingshui, Sanya, Wanning

I have been thinking for a long time whether to place the hotel in this chapter. But in my opinion, the feeling of "vacation" and "tourism" are different, so the most important thing about my "vacation" hotel selection is to satisfy the "lazy" needs.

1. You can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery from the room-small children, a lot of luggage, and inconvenient travel for the elderly.

The third princess is only one and a half years old, and the time and energy she spends every day on her trivial things such as eating, drinking, taking a nap, washing and changing clothes is really... In addition, a person with OCD like me insists on staying up late every day to wash clothes (although I have an aunt), packing my luggage, and organizing the room. It is inevitable that I will not want to move during the day, so not leaving the room and waiting for the beautiful scenery to come to my door is an important criterion for me to choose a hotel.

2. There is a relatively large space for the children to move around-three children, needless to say, the chickens are flying and dogs are dancing... Uh, no, you can imagine the scene of jumping and dancing. Besides, our 28-inch boxes can't be placed in the small room

3."Internal and external training"-since you are on vacation, you have to feel something in the hotel room, right?

--These three points are the criteria for my choice of a hotel: scenery outside, emotion inside, and interest in the children

1.21~1.23 [Haikou] Huazhu·Haikou Yunhai Yijing Seaview Hotel (180-degree wide-screen invincible sea view two-bedroom duplex parent-child suite)

Sea view hotel apartments, washing machines (to wash thick clothes along the way), convenient shopping (to replenish daily consumables)-this hotel was chosen largely for the travel needs.

1.23~1.24 [Lingshui] Huazhu·Lingshui Lanshe Beach Sea View B & B (Zhizhen Sea View Business Queen Room + Terrace Sea View Twin Room)

Beachfront B & B, big room (business queen room)!!!

The view from the balcony is beautiful!

Although the flowers on the balcony are not so gorgeous, they have a unique charm when setting off the blue sky and white clouds on the beach.

1.24~1.27 [Sanya] A. MGM Yalong Bay Resort (two-bedroom, one-living room, select Supreme Sea View Suite)

Everyone knows the five-star hotel with a sea view on Yalong Bay (excluding the ones across the road). There are many reviews on the Internet. I will talk about my feelings based on my own impressions. It may not be accurate and comprehensive, just for reference.

These hotels, from west to east, are: Regis, Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, MGM (original Gloria), Mangrove, and Horizon.

Beach: Except for St. Regis, which is relatively small and has a bit rough beach quality, the other houses are not bad. The beaches of these hotels are all connected, so you can walk to each house (St. Regis is relatively remote).

Facilities: The Ritz-Carlton's are relatively new; the Regis's are not bad; the mangrove, MGM, Hilton... these are all a bit old, but it's not a big problem; Tianyu always feels a little out of the same level.

Service: The service from the Ritz-Carlton is still better; the impression of Mangrove and Hilton is good; the waiters in some restaurants in MGM are a bit "too average".

In the picture above, Regis is not marked (on the far left), and "Cayley" is the current MGM.

We chose MGM this time, mainly because the large room I wanted (two bedrooms and one living room, selected Supreme Sea View Suite) had a good overall index and high value for money.

1.27~1.29 [Sanya] B.Yalong Bay Paradise on Earth-Bird's Nest Resort (Gundinghe Seaview Pool Two-Bedroom Villa)

In fact, I should stay in MGM for a few more days. When it comes to vacation, I should stay until I feel like I'm in a trance. But I really miss the Bird's Nest Resort (my husband didn't come with me last time I went there), so I moved.

This hotel is located in the Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park. The rooms are all designed as mountain villas and scattered among the mountains. Some rooms have sea views, so this feeling of watching the mountains and seas in the forest is quite special. It understands my joy.

The breakfast buffet restaurant has forest mountains and mountains and is very Zen.

Although this hotel is not very new, it is the style I have always liked.

There are two bedrooms, one living room, and two bathrooms. The space is relatively large, allowing children to play more happily. The most important thing is that the hall and two rooms are open to a terrace. Not only do they have a private swimming pool, but they also allow you to view the mountains and seas from afar. It was really fun!

Let me remind you, although you can go to the sea at noon in Sanya in winter, this hotel is located in the mountains and the temperature is lower, so the utilization rate of private swimming pools varies from person to person (see the "Fun" video) Hahahaha!

Oh, by the way, you can visit Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park for free by staying at this hotel. This part will be included in the "Fun Chapter".

1.29~1.30 [Wanning] Travel and Accommodation Story RV Camp

Most people may arrange to live in a car when they travel on a RV road trip, but this is not the case in my plan. Except for the first two nights and being forced to live in a car due to the inconvenience of entering the city due to the epidemic (Henan/Hebei), I actually only planned one night to experience "RV life." So I carefully selected the RV camp at this station in Wanning.

This camp is very close to the beach. It takes two to three minutes to walk to the beach. The sea water and sand are naturally not comparable to Sanya's Yalong Bay, but it is still very pleasant to take a walk and enjoy the sea breeze.

There are tents, barbecues, and large-screen movies in the camp. The facilities in all aspects are relatively complete, and the atmosphere at night is also very pleasant. If you are not particularly picky, this place is really nice. It's just that I personally have a problem with cleanliness, so this accommodation choice... just consider it a life experience

The above section of "Hotels" is just a few hotels in Hainan. Other accommodation sharing is in the summary videos in the three chapters of the "National Trend Series".

[Fun] Sanya, Nanwan Monkey Island

Vacation, that isEat, drink and have fun.Unfortunately, I couldn't spare time with my children, and I couldn't pick many photos. No matter what, gather together and write an article, just as it is a childhood memory for the children!

Sunshine, rainbow horse swimming circles, ocean ball pools, bubble shows... places with children are always warm and sweet

Of course, when playing with sand, these two monkeys turn into soldiers in an instant. Digging pits and mud, building fortifications, alien invasions... there are only things you can't imagine, nothing they can't do. The two brothers who usually fell in love and killed each other instantly transformed into a jihad alliance, working together, and having high morale. I think the reason why it is easier for men to work out a career is that they can fill out smoke-filled battlefields anytime and anywhere, and then move forward with passion. hahaha

From the scorching sun to sunset, my mother was so cold that she was shivering in her nightgown. The two of them were still planning the prospects of the "war"...

Come, come and see the "witness" of the second brother playing in the sand all day-it looks like he has a layer of stockings on his legs. As for the degree of tan after playing for a few days, you can imagine.

As for the third sister, it was probably her first time coming to the beach and she had never refused to get off the ground. She kept barking when she was thrown on the beach. Her legs were so soft that she couldn't stand up in battle. Therefore, I can only pretend to be cute and sweet.

The brothers are responsible for creating the atmosphere;

The little sister is responsible for playing soft and cute;

So what is Dad responsible for? Responsible! Fuck! Laugh!

Grandma, although she is over 80s, the water has fallen, the sand has been dug, and the ocean ball scuffle has participated. When she is tired, she can still lie on the beach chair and sleep soundly in the sun.

But for me, I look at children, hold children, and take pictures of children... Fortunately, there are two photos that prove that I have been here before, quack.

There are really only two, but I bought a new swimsuit specially

Of course, in addition to crazy fun, we also have other arrangements.

You can't miss it when you pass by. You can visit Nanwan Monkey Island. The characteristic here is that the monkeys are reared. They run and play around, blocking the way and robbing food, fighting fiercely to seize territory, and "falling in love" in public... In fact, it's similar to those in the zoo, but the ones here are not kept in captivity. There are monkeys wandering around at any time along the way, so it feels relatively new.

When the monkeys approached, I was basically in a "combat readiness" state, for fear that the children would be injured, so I didn't record the children's feeding or being followed by the monkeys, which was a little pity.

Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park-Challenge the glass plank road/super cable bridge.

This kind of challenge is nothing to me. Because I am afraid of heights and should give up without even thinking about it. But this is the first time I have asked my pig teammates to take their two sons on an "adventure"... I am conflicted

tidbits

1. RV

This is our first time renting a car, so we have no experience. Because it is a C copy, we just simply compared the Yutong 530C (the front is Volvo's standard) and the Chase RV 90C. We feel that there is no comparability. The 530C obviously won.

Regarding long-distance RV tours, I have a few small feelings for reference to travel friends:

1. The RV is relatively tall, so if you are visiting or staying in the city, you should know about the surrounding outdoor parking lot in advance (underground garages are basically inaccessible); moreover, parking managers often charge double because the RV looks large. Parking fee, in fact, can be parked in regular parking spaces, but the body is slightly longer. If you park it on the side, it will not affect other vehicles.

2. When the front seat is driving on the highway, you will feel air leakage from below. Especially when we are traveling in winter, the section south of the Yangtze River will be extremely cold. No matter how hot the air conditioner is, it will not stop the chilly wind and blow. The legs hurt (I am afraid of the cold).

3. The small table next to the sofa seat does not have any standing fence to cover, so items on the table will fall (towards the front) while driving. Although there are also two small round holes for convenient holding cups, it seems not enough. Ah, if I rent a car next time, I will prepare a "standing fence" in advance to fix it on the front side of the table. Similarly, don't put fragile things on the console next to the sink (non-toilet), which will easily slip off during driving.

4. If you don't live in a car, remember to take out the contents of the refrigerator when parking for the night to prevent the power outage from causing food to deteriorate; in addition, the heating supply of the RV is very powerful, and the air outlet is under the bed, so you are afraid of deterioration. Things should avoid the outlet of the radiator.

5. There is a button on the side of the toilet. Pay attention to the switch, otherwise the water will not flush down; pay attention to ventilation and smell, otherwise this way...

6. If the temperature is below zero, the water supply system of the RV will freeze, so the water in the domestic water tank needs to be drained in advance. Not having toilets and washing water is a big deal, so plan your itinerary accordingly. However, if you are washing your hands, you can connect the drinking water bucket to the drinking water pipe, which will not affect daily water use. Moreover, the service area of long-distance driving routes can be filled with unlimited water, which is very convenient.

7. The storage space of the Yutong 530C is still very large. There are multiple cabinets in the car, which can be loaded well; the most important thing is that it is much larger than the external luggage of a RV of the same class. In addition to the miscellaneous things placed in multiple lockers, there are two 28-inch large boxes and three handbags in the luggage compartment on the left rear side of the car; one 22-inch box is placed on the right front side of the car; There is a lot of space between the driver's seat and the passenger seat, and another 28-inch box is placed; in addition, a 22-inch box is also stuffed behind the passenger seat and between the sofa seat-it's scary, haha. Attach a list of my items (I bring more because of my obsession with cleanliness)

2. Weather

Our journey was quite interesting. We experienced some special weather conditions-heavy snow, fog, rapid rain, and sunny sun. It can be regarded as a journey through four seasons and sunny rain. Although there were moments of fear, it was after all a surprise and no danger. It was a very worthwhile experience in life.

In particular, when I was passing through the Luohe area in Henan Province, I don't know if it was because of the fish pond that I encountered "fog". It was about two to three hundred kilometers away. It was not an ordinary fog, but in clusters, rushing towards him like big cotton, and he could not see the front at all. Moreover, we are traveling at night, which is particularly dangerous. My experience is: reduce the speed, double flash, keep a fixed distance from the car in front of you (always keep the taillights visible), and follow up at a constant speed and no change in the road, which can ensure safety.

3. Epidemic situation

I calculated before leaving. I would have to do nucleic acid tests 7 or 8 times during this round trip, but in fact, only Beijing, Wuhan, and Haikou have the strictest inspections. Some places have not been checked at all, which is a waste of my throat. Quack. Let's not talk about Beijing and Wuhan, let's just talk about Haikou's experience.

When the travel notes first talked about the adjustment of the itinerary, we mentioned that we were sailing from Xuwen Port in Zhanjiang. Due to the full load of the ship, our time was delayed again and again, and we didn't get off the ship until after 2 a.m. According to requirements, everyone must show their itinerary code to get a pass, and only with the pass can they exit the port gate.

My husband and I prepared everyone's relevant information in advance to go through the procedures. Because the nucleic acid test had been done within 48 hours in advance, we thought it would go smoothly, but we didn't expect the staff to still use the green itinerary code. Point out the * sign (We set off on the 18th and discovered the case in Beijing that afternoon.) We were told that passengers from Beijing need to provide two nucleic acid test results within 48 hours, and if they don't have them, they will be taken away on the spot and taken to designated venues for nucleic acid testing., and will not be released until the results are out. According to the staff, it will take 4 hours.

So, the staff riding electric bicycles set off with a motorcade (those without cars would get on the bus). It was not far away, but the scene was very graphic. Remind me, don't have the idea of slipping away. You have already withheld your ID cards when going through the formalities, and you will return your ID cards until there is no problem with the nucleic acid results in the end. Hahahaha, so follow me obediently.

Probably because it was midnight, there was no need to queue for nucleic acid preparation. After poking, we would go directly to the venue and wait. Each person would have a recliner. It was quite comfortable, but the venue was so big and empty that we were all wearing down jackets because of the cold (we were on a beach vacation. Oh, it was funny). Most of the venue were passengers from Beijing and Guangdong, including adults and children, with snoring coming and going.

Our family's situation is quite special. The old lady is in her 80s, and the third sister is only one and a half years old. She also wants to drink milk. How can this old and young people endure in this chilly venue? So, we found the staff, and finally they promised my aunt to take the old man and third sister back to their car to rest first, and no one else would leave. Our ID cards are all withheld, how can we leave? Moreover, there is only one entrance and exit channel guarded by multiple staff members. Can we still force customs clearance? Hahahaha, we are not fugitives.

My husband and I, with our two sons, were so sleepy that we stayed half asleep for nearly three hours (cold and unstable sleep), and were finally told that we had passed safely. By the time we arrived at the local hotel in Haikou, it was already past 7 o'clock in the morning, and the young man at the front desk of the hotel waited for us all night (I kept him informed of our progress on WeChat all night).

Although the inspection in Haikou was quite tormenting, I felt it was particularly worth it during the next vacation in Hainan. Because of Haikou's special geographical location, their strict investigation basically prevented the epidemic from entering, so basically no one in Hainan wears masks, and the holiday is naturally relaxed. A word of praise here-well done!

end

Just as this was our first self-driving tour by a RV, my travel notes are also different from previous times. A little loose, a little trivial. Along the way, there are cultural worship, mountains and rivers sentiment, leisurely sea views, and festive noise.

The journey is like a spliced seven-color palette, and the feeling is like a contrasting color palette. It is wonderful and all surprises.
