preface

The river is a green belt, and the mountains are like a jade hairpin. Han Yu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, once described the mountains and rivers of Guilin in this way. For thousands of years, Guilin's mountains and rivers have caused many literati to splash ink, and have also attracted countless people to be fascinated and intoxicated. And I, because of my textbook complex when I was a child, set foot on this land I have longed for a long time. A yellowed but clear picture sometimes appears in my mind: When we were young, we held up our textbooks and read after the teacher word by word: People say: Guilin's mountains and rivers are the best in the world. We rode wooden boats rippling on the Li River to enjoy the mountains and rivers of Guilin...

pre-departure preparation

Must-have items: Mosquito repellent, Yu Qian's emerald-wind oil essence, trousers (light and cool fabric), umbrellas. Summer in Guangxi is cloudy and cloudy, hot and humid, and there are too many mosquitoes. Pay attention to sunstroke prevention and mosquitoes.

Suggestion: Go far and read the almanac. I specially chose a good day for this trip, but of course I was lucky ~! Heavy rains, mountain torrents, and typhoons all surrounded us, rubbing their heads against our heels, but they were not close to us.

Day1: Night view of Guilin City: Two rivers and four lakes

It is nearly evening after arriving in Guilin. I can fill my stomach immediately after checking in. There is a rice noodle shop downstairs. The rice noodles are strong and smooth, and the soy products are not the same as those in Beijing, but they are delicious

Come and enjoy the night view on the water here. As soon as I stepped onto the steps at the entrance of the park, I saw an eye-catching scene: the orange sun slowly disappeared in the water-ink peaks until it disappeared under the red sky. My daughter and I just stopped hand in hand and appreciated, completely ignoring how many large bags we had been bitten by mosquitoes.

You can choose to take a boat or walk here. My daughter wanted to visit, so we chose to walk. On both sides of the river, there are pavilions, water pavilions and small bridges, classical gardens and famous flowers and trees. Suddenly, the picture described by Liu Kezhuang, a poet of the Southern Song Dynasty, of thousands of peaks standing around the countryside, and a river embracing the city flowing, appeared in his mind.

There is a historic building along the river: Guilin Library in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which is still open to the public

Drinking sour plum soup is provided, and the island provides powerful electric fans and tables and chairs to rest. It's really a small island, a super small one. Let's put it this way. If your legs are slow, you can travel back and forth in a minute:

The biggest mistake tonight was that I forgot to change my trousers. These mosquitoes are bumping into me in droves ~~ They can't get away with them ~~~~ Know what it means to have a bag filled again?! Two hours later, covered in scars, the woman fled back to the hotel.

Day2: Guilin Seven Star Park-East and West Alley-Yangshuo West Street

After sleeping until the sun had just risen, my daughter opened her eyes and clamored to feed the monkeys! That's right, we're going to Qixing Park today. I heard that there are many free-range monkeys there. I bought a lot of snacks in the supermarket and set out.

Seven Star Park is located on the bank of the Xiaodongjiang River, a tributary of the Li River in urban areas of Guilin, with a green coverage rate of 84%. It is the largest comprehensive scenic spot with the longest history and the most scenery in Guilin City. There are many locals scalping at the door. Because they can enter for free with their ID cards, they bring tourists in at half price. Just when I was hesitating, my daughter said firmly: Mom, let's spend two more dollars and buy regular tickets! What a good boy who obeys the law! So, we held our heads high and went to the ticket office to buy tickets and enter the park.

River at the entrance of the park:

Go straight into the door for five minutes and turn right, and you will find Monkey Mountain. After searching for it, there is no sign of the monkey at all. With an inspiration, I rubbed the food bag with all my life in an attempt to attract the monkey out. Seeing that there was no effect, I opened my mouth and ate peanuts loudly... The cleaning aunt at the side couldn't stand it anymore and said to us: It's past ten o'clock. There must be no monkeys. We have all gone back to escape the summer. Her daughter couldn't hide her disappointment. She carried food and pouted her mouth down the mountain. If you can't see the monkeys, let's take a look at the scenery. Only then did we begin to appreciate the scenery in the park carefully. Although it is hot, the park has dense vegetation and is not hot at all. After getting off Monkey Mountain, there is a small children's playground.

The trees in the park are full of artistic nature, and various patterns are painted on the branches and branches according to their shapes and characteristics

By the way, there is a famous scenic spot deep in the park: Camel Mountain, named for its shape like a camel. Check-in:

There is also another famous attraction in the park for an additional fee: Qixing Rock. But there are similar karst caves in Beijing, such as Shihua Cave and Yinhu Cave, so I don't waste time visiting them.

If this person gets lucky, there is really nothing he can do. I thought I wouldn't see the monkeys anymore, but I didn't expect that they would appear as soon as we walked around the top of the mountain. My daughter was so excited that she ran over and took out snacks and fed them until she ran out of food. She went to the grocery store to replenish her. Seeing the monkeys eating so happily, I touched my already hungry stomach. My child, stop feeding the monkeys. Let's go. I'm so hungry for my mother ~~~

The monkeys already knew that there was food in my bag, so they chased me and grabbed my legs in various ways, scaring me so much that I fled:

I finally coaxed the child away, and I met a peacock in front of me.,,, I insisted on making a statue with the peacock,,,,, After making the statue, I ran to feed the fish, hehe ~! By the time I came out of the park, it was already 2:30 in the afternoon. I'm desperate to eat anything, so I'll eat whatever I see, no more choosy!

Beautiful little waterfall near the door

Coming out of Seven Star Park, it takes a ten-minute walk to Dongxi Lane, passing through the tributary of the Li River:

Take a photo in the No. 1 Champion Gallery in East and West Alley and feel happy:

The most famous thing in East and West Alley should be Xiaoyao Building:

The area of the East and West Alley is not large. If you don't shop, you can finish shopping in about 20 minutes. After harvesting the first refrigerator sticker of this trip: wooden hand-painted craftsmanship, I plan to go back and seal it with a layer of nail polish and preserve it well:

After three o'clock in the afternoon, I met with my sister and his wife. They drove here from Guizhou and took us to Yangshuo. Roar Hou ~ The highlight is about to debut!

It was already 5 p.m. when I arrived in Yangshuo, and I immediately searched for food after checking in. Fortunately, the hotel is diagonally opposite the Chunji Roast Goose. Maybe because we were tired, we ate a large table of food and dried it!

I highly recommend our hotel "Huazhu-Yangshuo West Street Branch". Convenient transportation, 100 meters away from Yangshuo Park, and turning around is West Street. The service is excellent, spacious and clean, breakfast is abundant, and a accompanying gift is also given when checking out:

After dinner, we came to the legendary West Street together, good guy! The whole street was loud! It was all the sounds of Di Qu, and the little girls were dressed up to solicit customers at the door. The middle of the road was also crowded with stall stalls, dirty! Chaos! Poor! The old shell hurts! Run quickly!

Come and visit Yangshuo West Street in your mind:

The night view outside the street is quite beautiful, but the key is that it is not so noisy:

Day3: Yangshuo Li River Rafting-Yangshuo Park

Today's highlight is Lijiang River rafting. It should be noted that morning ticket sales will stop around 10:30 a.m., and afternoon ticket sales will not start until around 1:00 a.m. We were only a few minutes late, so we went to Xingping Ancient Town to visit first. The ancient town is not big and can be visited in an hour. It is basically all food, drink and gadgets.

Finally, at 12:30, we arrived at the ticketing hall. There was already a long queue. The key was that there was no air conditioning in the hall. There are three types of package tickets to choose from. It is recommended to buy the Xingping section for a round-trip trip, because this is the most essential section. After buying the ticket, send it directly to the dock.

On the way to the dock:

It turns out that this picturesque scroll is the mountains and rivers of Guilin in the textbook. What makes me most happy is that I am in it.

He gently touched his daughter next to him with his elbow, smiled and whispered to her the last sentence in the text "Guilin Landscape": The boat is traveling on the blue waves, and the person is swimming in the painting.

It was 4 p.m. when I returned to the hotel. Because I didn't have a serious meal at noon, I roasted goose. Sorry we came to eat you again.

After dinner, the three lazy guys planned to go to West Street for something to drink, but I wouldn't waste this great time and turned around to Yangshuo Park to watch the sunset. I only recommend one most essential part here: Duxiu Mountain, the best place to overlook Yangshuo Town. One of the beautiful scenery of Yangshuo, the jade pillar Lingxiao, refers to Duxiu Mountain. After entering the park from the gate, walk to the central sculpture area. There is a path on the left. Follow the path until you reach the foot of the mountain for about 200 meters. You can climb to the top of the mountain along the stone steps. Looking up at Duxiu Mountain at the foot of the mountain, its overall shape is majestic. No wonder the ancients once exclaimed when they saw this: Ten thousand pieces of green rose from the ground, and a pillar rose high in the sky. There is a pavilion on the top of the mountain. Legend has it that an immortal rides a crane to tour this mountain. He takes a short rest here and releases the cranes, so people call it Fanghe Pavilion.

When I climbed to the top of this mountain, my vision was immediately opened in a panoramic manner. The rolling hills like bamboo shoots surrounded the simple town, like a picture scroll. It turns out that only the sky knows the beauty of the earth. At this moment, I just blame my mobile phone for not being powerful enough to capture such a grand scene. Then, just keep it in your mind and engrave it in your heart.

The setting sun suddenly disappears and appears, and I can't help but take a few pictures of it

Day4: Cycling on the Yulong River-Huangyao Ancient Town

In order to travel cool, I got up at 6:30 to tidy up. As soon as 7:00, I was the first to rush into the restaurant for breakfast. The coffee was fragrant and silky with a long aftertaste, and my favorite puffs did not let me. Disappointed.

Bring your beloved straw hat, put on your favorite lipstick, hang up your headphones, turn on the navigation, flip the key, and drip ~ go! Start my journey of exploration.

Ride leisurely on National Highway 321 with the cool morning wind, and the scenery along the way is also beautiful:

When I arrived at the dock, I looked around and saw that the beautiful Yulong Bridge in my mind did not appear. I was full of bustling crowds and colorful parasols. I was a little disappointed:

Without stopping too much, continue south along the Yulong River.

Route map of this ride:

Walking and stopping along the way, I greedily appreciated this unique karst landform and sighed: What kind of power gave birth to these wonderful mountains and rivers in the world!

After walking a mountain trail, we gathered to the river and continued riding.

When I went to the old county to find out, I was completely out of curiosity. There must be old houses and old stories scattered in the corners between the mountains and rivers. Finally we arrived at Jiuxian Village. This is an ancient village. Many houses on the roadside are newly built. The farther we go, the older the houses become.

My pavilion for shelter from the rain

To put it bluntly, Dashi Village is the most beautiful part of the journey. The slow and rapid Yulong River, the scattered fertile farmland houses, the endless mountains, the ancient bridges that deposit history, the morning fog surrounding the mountains, and the colorful butterflies all over the mountains, suddenly want to become a phoenix-tailed bamboo by the river., always guard here!

It also attracts many foreigners, who also love the way of riding.

The true nature of the old man fishing by the river performs "The Life I Yearn for"

Dashi Village should be the place I have stayed for the longest time along the way. I can't wait to use my brain to record every frame in front of me. Head to the next stop: Jima Wharf. It seems to have changed its name now, called Chaoyang Pier. The scenery is beautiful and there are not many people. Compared to the Yulong River Wharf, it is much quieter:

Path to the dock:

Because I gave the child to my sister before leaving, I really, really had to go back. It is recommended to navigate to the Qianggu Qing Scenic Area first, and then navigate to Yangshuo County. When it was approaching the age of eternal love, I saw this statue from afar and thought it was a Buddha statue. I silently recited a few Buddhist names in my heart and went to take a closer look. Pu ~ haha ~~:

If you come to Yangshuo, please believe me. This is the correct way to open Yangshuo! Come here to experience how the freshness and elegance of nature is hidden in the world of mortals. The Yulong River is not the Li River, but better than the Li River!

If you ask me whether to go to the Li River or the Yulong River, then I will tell you: the atmosphere of the Li River and the beauty of the Yulong River will amaze you!

Well, no matter how reluctant you are, you must finally part. Cycling in Yangshuo will be an unforgettable memory for me. Temporarily turn over!

Go to the hotel to pack your bags and prepare to leave for Huangyao. I searched a rice noodle shop for lunch. Unexpectedly, I didn't expect that the rice noodles made by a small stall that was not even a fly house would be so amazing! Push hard! The name of the store is called Rice Noodles on the Bite of Mouth. The best one is the Gold-medal Guilin Rice Noodles, not snail noodles. Remember to add more sour bamboo shoots:

Yangshuo is about 200 kilometers away from Huangyao Ancient Town. I first bought the ancient town ticket online because it was stipulated that it would be effective to purchase it two hours in advance. The road is smooth and it will arrive at two o'clock in the afternoon. The moment I got off the bus, I opened my mouth and called Mom! Isn't it too hot? It's hotter than Guilin! My body feels 40 degrees, and I feel suffocating! Anyway, let's check in first and talk about it:

Huangyao Ancient Town is surrounded by mountains and surrounded by green waters. It is an absolute treasure place of feng shui. The Yao River, Xiaozhujiang River and Xingning River meet here. The ancient town is roughly composed of three buildings with defense systems. These three buildings are cleverly connected together through bridges, walled walls, and gatehouses to form a whole. Walking inside is like walking into the Eight Trigrams Array.

Friendly reminder: When visiting Guangxi during the summer, try not to wear jeans, let alone tight jeans. Otherwise, when you need to pee urgently, you really can't take off your pants. It's all stuck to your body with sweat. It's useless to curse on the street. Really, I'm so anxious to death ~!

The old houses in the ancient town retain their original flavor, and the stone roads also reveal traces of history:

These two ancient banyan trees grew together, so they were named: husband and wife banyan trees

The dog lay lazily in front of the door and took a nap, so happy ~:

The former post office has been transformed into a dessert shop:

Immortal Ancient Well, the water level never drops all year round. In the old days, people in the town would come here to wash their clothes:

The ancient town is still beautiful at night. After being washed by the rain, it still has a mysterious color:

Day5: Huang Yao-Zhanjiang-Haikou

At 7:00, I took a nostalgic look at the ancient town in the early morning, packed up and set out, with one foot on Zhanjiang and two feet on Hainan Island, officially opening the amphibious mode:

All the way to the highway and morning fog:

We had lunch in Zhanjiang. The name is "One Tea, One Point Restaurant." Every time I see the dishes we ate and the tables we ate, I wonder if we are eating food.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, we finally arrived at Hai 'an Port. After about two hours by ferry, we successfully boarded Hainan Island. The climate here is much more comfortable than Guangxi and is not so sultry. First photo on Hainan Island:

Have a good rest after dinner and look forward to tomorrow's trip. Good night!

This is the end of the travel journey in Guangxi, and stay tuned for the second half of "Hainan Island Driving Tour"!
