On May Day in 2019, I took my grandparents on a off-peak holiday and felt that Yangshuo was still very good, so I brought my parents to have another close contact during the summer vacation. Depart from Shenzhen on August 22 and return to Shenzhen on August 24.

Trip suggestions:

Yangshuo Guilin can arrange 4-5 days, 3 days Yangshuo, 2 days Guilin

Yangshuo recommends arranging Xingping Ancient Town, Lijiang River cruises (Yangshuo is the essence), Yulong River rafting (I gave up because my children were young and couldn't take bamboo rafts, and it was good to go there 16 years ago), Jiuxian County, Xingping Ancient Town recommends staying in Sanqian Li, a beautiful hotel.

Guilin recommends going to the two rivers and four lakes, Elephant Trunk Mountain, Xiaoyao Tower, etc.(Don't trust the wild guide)

1. About high-speed rail tickets:

Tickets to and from Yangshuo from Shenzhen are relatively few. There are only 2-3 flights a day. The time to go is early and late. The time is not good, and there are also 3 flights back. If you want a good time, you can consider transferring from Guangzhou South Railway Station, which has many flights.

Our specific situation is as follows:

(1) Journey: Shenzhen North Railway Station-Yangshuo, there are times past 7 o'clock in the morning. Although it is a bit harder, it is just past 10 o'clock to have lunch and rest in the hotel. You can play in the afternoon, and your time utilization is high.

(2) Return trip: Guilin-Shenzhen, bought a ticket at 5 p.m., and returned at night.

2. Some considerations:

(1) Preparation of items: Pay attention to check the weather before leaving. We went to Yangshuo and Guilin at the end of August. The weather was similar to Shenzhen, but it was still very hot. It was a sun-protected coat. Pay attention to bringing umbrellas to protect against rain and sun. Be sure to bring sunscreen products.

(2) Transportation in Yangshuo: This trip took 2 elderly people and 2 children, and the trips were basically Didi Chuxing. Yangshuo's Didi Car is still very easy to get and not expensive. It starts at 8 yuan. I also recommend a driver Ye who serves us in Yangshuo. The car is very new. SUV. If you go to Yangshuo, you can find him to charter a car. (3) Accommodation in Yangshuo (Sanqian Li Hotel, summer is the peak period, and the double room is booked for 918 yuan. Sometimes there are activity packages that are very cost-effective. You can pay attention to the public account "Sanqian Li"), accommodation in Guilin is to book an express hotel. It is a five-minute walk from Elephant Trunk Mountain and cannot be reached from the night view of the two rivers and four lakes.

(4) Catering: Xingping Ancient Town-Yunzhiwei; West Street-Xiaonanguo.

(5) Attractions to visit: Sanqian Li Town (staying in hotels is an attraction in itself)-Guilin Elephant Trunk Mountain, Xiaoyao Tower, Dongxi Lane, etc.

August 22, the first day of Yangshuo

I got up at 5:50 a.m. and went out to take a taxi at 6:10. As a result, three adults and two children were overloaded and refused to carry me. Fortunately, I told my husband in advance that he would be ready to take us there at all times, because he might refuse to carry passengers. The journey went smoothly. I arrived at North Railway Station at 6:50 and swiped my ID card directly. After playing at the amusement park for a while, I got on the bus.

After arriving in Yangshuo at 10 o'clock, all hotels have fixed times and arranged for a special bus to pick up the hotel at the Yangshuo High-speed Railway Station due to the reservation of Sanqian Li. (It is in the parking lot of the high-speed rail station, on the left side of the door)

I couldn't check in yet, so I went to Xingping Ancient Town (Didi arrived at the starting price) first and wanted to visit the Lijiang River. As a result, after waiting in the sun for 20 minutes, someone came over and issued a number, saying that it would take 1 hour and 30 minutes to wait for the ticket. Oh my God! I really can't stand the scorching sun. The picture below shows the cruise route. It feels good to ride.

After watching it, I took a brief tour of the ancient town (half an hour is enough). There are old stages to visit.

Eat at Yunzhiwei (newly opened in 2019, recommended by the hotel front desk, which is not bad). We ordered bamboo chicken, braised pork, and steamed eggs.

After lunch, I returned to the hotel to check in smoothly and took a rest. The two beds add up to 2.4 meters. It is okay to sleep three adults and two children, but the father is relatively small.

Take Tangyuan for a swim in the afternoon. The sky of the hotel is very suitable for taking photos.

At night, he took Tuanzi swimming. The scenery in the evening is very peaceful and beautiful.

Suddenly, it rained heavily and lightning rained. As a result, the performance was cancelled and there was a bamboo pole dance in the hotel lobby. Then we had Guilin rice noodles for dinner. After running, I went back to the hotel to rest.

August 23, the second day in Yangshuo

Got up at 7 a.m. and ran around the hotel. The scenery was beautiful.

I took a taxi to the station at noon and wanted to take a bus to Guilin, but there was no bus. Then the Didi Driver sent us directly to West Street for 100 yuan. According to the recommendation of public reviews for lunch, we ate Xiaonanguo and the beer fish was not bad.

After lunch, I walked around the West Street. The weather was very hot, so I didn't stroll for long.

Go to Guilin after lunch. On Xijie Didi took a taxi to Yangshuo Station, bought a bus ticket and took the bus to Guilin, and parked at the South Railway Station (we also learned that the bus station in the city had just been moved to the suburbs after getting on the bus). It is recommended that it is more convenient to go from Yangshuo to Guilin by Didi, otherwise you still have to take a taxi for half an hour to get to the city center when you arrive in Guilin.

We arrived at the hotel around 4 o'clock. Take advantage of the heat and set up the twin towers of the sun and the moon.

Then we watched the night view of the two rivers and four lakes. We wanted to go to the Waterfall Hotel to see the waterfalls, but the performance was stopped.

Walking to Zhengyang Pedestrian Street for shopping is a very lively street.

August 24

Get up at 7 a.m. to have breakfast. I plan to finish visiting Elephant Trunk Mountain early and go back to the hotel to sleep. I can check out at 2 a.m. Unexpectedly, I was persuaded by a roadside wild guide to take a cruise ship. An adult is about 100, but I forgot the details.) Then I was taken to see the Xishan Grottoes, and the 9 o'clock boat tour of the Li River to see Elephant Trunk Mountain, Fubo Mountain, Qixing Mountain, etc. It ends at 10 o'clock.

After taking the boat, I walked to Xiaoyao Tower. I saw Guilin citizens dancing along the way. It was very happy and it was also a city with a high happiness index. Xiaoyao Tower was rebuilt in 2015 and was previously destroyed. It is one of the four famous buildings in China, as famous as the Yellow Crane Tower.

After visiting Xiaoyao Building, we will go to Dongxi Alley.
