In fact, starting from Guangzhou and not far west, Guangxi has picturesque scenery, clear blue skies, fresh air, and interesting cultural customs.
Moreover, Guangxi's infrastructure is very complete. When traveling here, you will not experience any bad experiences such as fatigue.

Preparation for travel

1. The temperatures in Guangxi and Guangdong are very close, so you only need to bring summer clothes when you come here. If you are worried that the weather will be a little colder, you can bring a thin coat;
2. The sunshine in Guangxi is still scorching in September and October, and sun protection work is needed;
3. Transportation to some destinations during the trip is relatively inconvenient, so you can choose to go there by landing and driving;
4. Guangxi's diet tastes sour and spicy;
5. There are many ethnic minorities in Guangxi. Remember to respect the national beliefs and habits of the local ethnic minorities.

itinerary

D1: Guangzhou--Hezhou--Huangyao Ancient Town

D3: Linhe Ancient City--Yao Museum--Fuchuan Ancient City
D4: Hezhou--Yangshuo--Yulong River Rafting
D5: Elephant Trunk Mountain-Wangcheng Duxiu Peak
D6: Guanyan--Guangzhou

The first time I heard of the name Hezhou was because of a series from Hong Kong TV-"Tea is Strong in Hometown".
In the play, Gupo Mountain and Huangyao Ancient Town have become my impressions of Hezhou.

Comely and quiet, this is what Hezhou, who has never met but has left a deep impression on me.
Going from Guangzhou to Hezhou is actually a very convenient thing. The high-speed railway takes just over an hour to get from Guangzhou to Hezhou.

huangyao ancient town

The first stop here was Huangyao Ancient Town.

I like the quiet ancient town very much, but over the past few years, the ancient cities and towns I have often visited have always given me the feeling of taking advantage of the pleasure but returning disappointed. There are many ancient towns, but there are often various fashionable shops in those ancient buildings. Listening to rock and roll and drinking a glass of foreign wine in the ancient town? In my eyes, it is quite nondescript.

When I came to Huangyao Ancient Town, I seemed a little uneasy whether this place would destroy my expectations. When I come here, what I want to see is the beauty on the stone arch bridge and the old house. This is my biggest expectation when I come here.

Huangyao Ancient Town is surrounded by a moat, which is the most traditional layout of the ancient town. This moat has clear water. Hundreds of years of flowing have washed away the stones on both sides of the river into strange shapes.

The river is filled with ancient large banyan trees. After hundreds of years of nourishment, sunshine and moisture make the banyan trees particularly luxuriant. The hanging fibrous roots and lush leaves form a cool little world.
Connecting the two sides of the river is an ancient stone bridge. After the washing of time, the stone slabs have become smooth. Walking through the stone bridge is also the taste of passing through time.

The town still maintains its original appearance as the ancient town. The mottled brick walls and the gray tile roofs are full of a sense of history. While walking among them, whether it is the grass in the corner or the creeper on the wall, it brings a vivid atmosphere to the sense of history.

Although Huangyao Ancient Town also has specialty shops and coffee shops, there are really not many. Even if I wanted to buy a cup of coffee, I had to go a long way to find an open coffee shop, but it was in this way that the original taste and beauty of the ancient town were preserved.

If I like the most, it is still the cup of ice-cold tofu pudding under the big banyan tree. Simply, taste the tranquility of Huangyao Ancient Town under the big banyan tree. It always feels particularly casual.

D2: Fuxi Village--Chashan Village--Heishan Village Fuxi Village

The next day, I chose to come to Fuxi Village. This is a Yao village with a history of hundreds of years.

The moment I got off the bus, I felt that there were many differences between this place and the Yaozhai I had been to.

If many Yaozhai villages are thoroughly tourist attractions, then this is the most original Yao settlement.

Here, you can see dilapidated houses-and these houses are the record of life. In the overgrown weeds, what you can see are the historical traces and stories that belong here.

There are still many Yao people living here. After hundreds of years of reproduction, life here is still peaceful and leisurely. They abide by their own living habits, they adhere to their own lifestyle, and preserve traditional customs, all of which are the attractions of this place.

Dragon dancing is an important festival activity. Watch the golden dragon in the square here and watch the agile golden dragon transform into various shapes and become vivid.

The Chungeng Yao people will also perform their own sacrificial rituals. In the past days, spring seeds were sprinkled, carrying a year's expectations and a year's livelihood. Therefore, on the days of spring plowing, the Yao people will also have their own rituals. Looking forward to good weather and rain throughout the year and praying for a bumper harvest in the coming year. This ceremony was also very interesting, full of hope, humor and vitality.

The most interesting thing about coming to Fuxi Village is that you can taste the Yao weddings here. Tourists can put on their daughter-in-law and truly experience the wedding process of the Yao people. It is very interesting to see the blessings of the guests, watch the prayers of the village elders, and feel the traditional joy.

chashan village

Arriving at Chashan Village, my mobile phone received a text message saying "Welcome to Hunan".

A little confused, I checked the map and realized that I had arrived at the junction of Hunan and Guangxi. One step to Hunan, one step to Guangxi.

In ancient times, when there were no planes, no cars, no SF Express and no Jingdong, the movement of goods from south to north required merchants to use packhorses and move on their feet. Chashan Village was a village where merchants came and went to rest.

Here, you can still see the architectural features that were used for the convenience of horse racing at that time. The windows and doors of the shops here are all very high, which is precisely for the convenience of merchants riding horses to easily buy a pot of Camellia oleifera and a shuttle cake on horseback.

The stone road here is still well preserved. The stone road has been polished quite smoothly. The footsteps of merchants and the hooves of horses have left a century-old mark on the stone road.
Tourism in Chashan Village is now quite standardized. WiFi connects every corner of the village and uniformly priced food and goods in the village allow every tourist who comes here to get the most intimate travel experience.

heishan village

It seems that ethnic minorities can always sing and dance well, of course the Yao people are.

If the Yao people are most famous, it must be their Butterfly Song. Butterfly Song has once appeared at the Chinese Folk Song Conference. The song is light and full of joy.

Heishan Village is the birthplace of butterfly songs.
When I came to Heishan Village, I saw a lot of paintings painted on the building walls, including colorful butterflies and ethnic characteristics that belong to the place.

Here, of course, you have to listen to the most famous butterfly song. Whether they are young people or old people with haired heads, they can sing a song. Maybe you don't understand the content of the lyrics, but the expectation for life and the emotion about happiness in the song are always particularly touching.

D3: Linhe Ancient City-Fuchuan Yao Museum-Fuchuan Guming City Linhe Ancient City

Linhe Ancient City is known as the Little Great Wall in the south. The earliest history here can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty.

Coming here, now the city wall that was once built to resist the enemy is no longer golden and iron horses. Inside and outside the city wall, there are green fields and peaceful villages.

Walking up the city wall, the breeze blows the seedlings. The simple pastoral scenery seems to carry an intoxicating sweetness. The mottled city bricks record countless historical vicissitudes, making them even more desolate and majestic in the peaceful village.

The Kuixing Tower on the city wall has been abandoned, but it still stands tall today. This tower seems to have become a symbol here, and it is even more spectacular in the village.

The Chen Wang Temple under the city wall is now dilapidated, but the incense is still flourishing. The mottled red wall seems to silently narrate the glory of the year. The stone lion in front of the door seems to be quite well-maintained. Although the traces of time can also be seen, it is extremely powerful.

Fuchuan Yao Museum

Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County, you can see from the name that this is a place where the Yao people live.

Come to the Yao Museum here to understand the characteristics of this nation, experience the history of this nation, and you will also learn more about this nation that has lasted for thousands of years.

In legend, the Yao people are descendants of Chiyou. Chiyou was defeated in the Central Plains War with the Emperor Yan and Huang. His people migrated south and came to Guangdong, Hunan, Guangxi and other places to thrive. Therefore, the Yao people preserved their own history, their own cultural traditions, and their own way of recording records.

In the Yao Museum, you can see various historical records of the Yao people, and the statue of their ancestor Chiyou is lifelike.

The costumes of the Yao people, a miniature version of the Fengyu Bridge, condense the flavor of the Yao people's life in a small museum.
Walking into it, through thousands of years, the tears and joy of this nation are vividly displayed in front of our eyes.

Next to the Fuchuan Yao Museum is the hundreds of years old Ruiguang Tower.

Below the tower is a century-old temple. There is no noisy noise. The fireworks here carry a peaceful comfort.

Ruiguang Tower can still be climbed to the top. When you reach the seven-story top, you can see the scenery of Fuchuan County. The quietly flowing river outlines the tranquility and tranquility of the small county.

Fuchuan Guming Castle

Since it is named "Ming City", it was naturally built in the Ming Dynasty.

For hundreds of years, the tower here is still intact and has become an important landmark in the city of Fuchuan.

I chose to come here at night. Although there were quite low buildings along the way, after renovations and lighting, they had a retro flavor.

There are actually Qiankun in the house. There is a theater for Gui opera and a small shop that collects many old items. Time accumulates here and becomes more gentle in the lights.

The city tower was once the place of golden iron horses, but now it has been transformed. Here, you can see those cold weapons and powerful armor, but more importantly, from the city tower, you can overlook the old streets here. It is outstanding.

The wind and rain bridge is brightly lit. On the bridge are locals enjoying the cool. Watching the elderly chatting and the children playing, it constitutes a peaceful scene.

The ancient city of Fuchuan will also have special performances. Whether it is the Allegro below the tower or the Gui opera on the stage on the second floor, they are full of a traditional flavor. It's not just tourists watching it, it's also a good entertainment for those who live here.

The crowded alleys have a taste of a market and full of warmth.

D4: Hezhou--Yangshuo--Yulong River Rafting

On the fourth day, I left Hezhou and arrived in Yangshuo.
When it comes to Yangshuo, everyone knows it.

Guilin's mountains and rivers are the best in the world, and Yangshuo's mountains and rivers dominate Guilin. Yangshuo seems to condense the most aura of Guangxi, condensing its unique elegance here.
It takes about an hour and 30 minutes to drive from Hezhou to Guilin, and the way is picturesque.

Yulong River Drifting

Because he didn't have much time in Yangshuo this time, he only chose the Yulong River rafting itinerary.

I have been to Yangshuo many times, but the beauty of Yangshuo and the beautiful scenery of the Yulong River always haunt me. It seems that I always feel relaxed here.

As a tributary of the Li River, the beautiful scenery of the Yulong River forms the beautiful scenery of Yangshuo including the Shili Gallery. The bamboo rafts on the Yulong River were once used by residents here for fishing, but now they have become exquisite on the Yulong River and a way to visit the Yulong River.

Get on the bamboo raft and drive on the clear water of the Yulong River. People swim in the painting, and the bamboo raft has also become part of the picture scroll.

The mountains on both sides of the Yulong River are unique peaks formed by karst landforms, and each peak has different shapes. If you visit Yangshuo with a little romantic imagination, you can see different shapes on each mountain peak.

On the bamboo raft, you can see the rolling mountains on both sides of the river. On the bamboo raft, you can see the clear water and the tranquility on both sides, as if you are in a fairyland.

D5: Elephant Trunk Mountain-Jingjiang Palace, Wangcheng Duxiu Peak

The last stop of this trip was set in Guilin.
If there are too many praises about Guilin. "Guilin's mountains and rivers are the best in the world." An ancient poem is enough to illustrate the status of Guilin's mountains and rivers.

elephant trunk Hill

Guilin is picturesque, but if you want to choose one of the most iconic landmarks, Elephant Trunk Mountain will definitely give in.

This mountain peak located in the urban area of Guilin is shaped like an elephant collecting water from the Taohua River, hence its name.

When you come to Guilin, of course, you have to check in at this landmark in Guilin.
If Guilin's mountains and rivers can always be associated with various animals and scenery, then Elephant Trunk Mountain does not need to be associated to see the magic created by nature.

According to legend, Elephant Trunk Mountain was transformed by Samantabhadra's mount, so Samantabra Pagoda was also built on Elephant Trunk Mountain, echoing this Buddhist story.

At the foot of Xiangbei Mountain, you can still see the beautiful Taohua River. It is also a very interesting experience to take a cruise ship or bamboo raft and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Elephant Trunk Mountain on the river.

Jingjiang wangfu

The earliest history of Guilin can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty. Qin Shihuang dug a Lingqu here and established a county government, opening the history of Guilin.
In the Ming Dynasty, Jingjiang Mansion was opened here, which became increasingly prosperous.

Jingjiang Palace went through war and was razed to the ground under the relentless years. During the Anti-Japanese War, this place was hit by artillery fire, but what stands here now is no longer the prosperous style of the Ming Dynasty.

But in that old-style building, there are also countless surprises hidden.

The Jingjiang Palace still retains the layout of the palace at that time, with the water and the backing, which is the best terrain among the geomantic scenery. The neat greenway and the square design are all the earliest ones.

The main building of the palace is now an old-fashioned small building. Walking into the small building, you can also experience the prosperity of the palace at that time.

In the small building, sound, light, shadow and models are used to show the green orchids and prosperity of the palace. Here, you can also see the history of Guilin, from King Jingjiang's opening his government here to the blood and fire of the Anti-Japanese War, all of which are reproduced here.

Duxiu peak

Behind Jingjiang Palace is Duxiu Peak.

In the basin of Guilin, Duxiu Peak stands alone, hence its name.

The Duxiu Peak, which has been pulled up on the ground, is very majestic and exquisite. On Duxiu Peak, there are many poem stone carvings from dynasties and dynasties. The cliff stone carvings add a richer humanistic flavor to Duxiu Peak.

It is very interesting to experience an ancient scientific expedition after leaving Duxiu Peak.

D6: Guanyan--Guangzhou Guanyan

For the last day of the trip, I chose Guanyan.

In addition to the long-standing beautiful mountains and waters, the unique karst landform also creates unique karst caves.

Over hundreds of millions of years, the cave has formed a unique and magnificent scene underground. The mountain in Guanyan is named because it looks like a crown hat.

The way to enter the Guanyan Cave is also very strange. A sightseeing elevator of more than 30 meters has been built here. It is very strange to take the elevator from the ground and directly enter the cave.

In the cave, after hundreds of millions of years of creation by nature, you can see various odd-shaped stalactites here. Coupled with the gorgeous lighting, it brings special charm to the stalactite.
Here, with a little imagination, you may be able to see the fairyland and celestial palace, the underwater dragon palace, and the story of the Journey to the West. Here, step by step, the scenery is full of surprises.

The most special thing is that there is also a small train in the cave cave in Guanyan. Take the Karst Cave Train and see the fantasy caves. This is also a kind of fun that you can only experience here.

Walking near Guanyan, you can still see the beautiful mountains and rivers of Guilin, the mountains, the villages, and the cruise ships sailing quietly on the Li River. They are all picturesque and beautiful.

Guangxi cuisine

I have always liked to go to a place and taste a place's food.

In fact, there are many delicacies in Guangxi. The beautiful Li River alone has produced countless pollution-free ingredients.

Whether it's beer fish or river snail brew, the sweetness from the Li River is a delicacy that you can't miss when you come to Guangxi.
Guangxi's food tastes sour and spicy, mainly because it is relatively hot here, and the sour and spicy flavors can open the appetite.

written in the end

Guangxi's mountains and waters are always moving, and you will feel a little regretful when you leave Guangxi. There are still many beautiful scenery that I haven't seen, and many places that I want to visit. But just a two-hour high-speed train will not stop me from traveling. When I come to Guangxi again, I will be on the itinerary list not far away...
