Every summer vacation, I want to take my children on a trip, so that my children can gain insight and broaden my horizons. The world is so big, I want to go and see it. Due to the short holidays this summer, I was unable to travel long distances, so I chose the Guilin High-speed Railway for a four-day tour.
Taking two children to Guilin-1300 yuan for adults and 800 yuan for children. The price is quite close to the people and there is basically no pressure. Recommend a self-funded project "Guilin Eternal Love" or "Impression of Third Sister Liu". It is just voluntary consumption and is not mandatory.
It is said to be a four-day tour, but in fact, the real time is two and a half days. On the first day, Meizhou took a bus to Guangzhou South Railway Station, and Guangzhou South Railway Station took a two-and-a-half-hour high-speed train to Guilin. When we arrived in Guilin, we had dinner. Stay at Hengfeng Hotel after dinner. It is said to be a big hotel, but it is actually far inferior to the express hotels and business hotels in Guangdong that cost about 100 yuan. The room is very narrow and the bed is very small. It's like living in a bird's nest. I have never lived in such a small room before, but it's so particular when I'm away. Only by being at ease can I feel happy. Breakfast in Guilin is of course Guilin rice noodles. Guilin rice noodles are really different from pirated Guilin rice noodles from other places. There is no soup in the rice noodles. Use boiling water to boil them, and then add seasonings to make fragrant rice noodles.
The next day (August 16), I first visited the scenic spot known as a paradise. It was crowded with people and queued up casually for 50 minutes. This scenic spot is a man-made and natural attraction. First, I took a boat to visit Yanzi Lake. The lake water is really clear. Ah, there are small bridges and flowing water on the bank of the lake. The place is lush and lush everywhere, traffic is crisscrossed, and houses are scattered. It really feels like a paradise. If the house is not made of reinforced concrete, it would be perfect. You also need to pass through a natural karst cave by boat. When I went to Malaysia before, I used to go through a karst cave by boat at the seaside. This scene has a unique style. After taking a small boat ashore, we swam to a section of man-made pavilions, all of which were antique wood buildings. There were song and dance performances and musical instruments performed by Dong girls and boys. There are more commercial industries inside, selling gadgets, calligraphy and paintings, antiques, snacks, wine, etc., and then designing the corridor into nine twists and eighteen turns, allowing you to browse all the shops as much as possible. This design has been common in scenic spots in recent years. It is a waste of time. After touring Xanadu, we took a bus to Yangshuo to prepare for dinner. The dinner place was near the Li River, because the afternoon itinerary was a boat tour of the Li River. The tour guide gave us a warning early in the morning and said how poor the group meal in Guilin was. Everyone should be mentally prepared, eat well, and bear with it. The worst group meal in Guilin is in Yangshuo. Because the price is high, the food will be even worse. The fact is not that bad. The food we eat is okay, but it is a little vegetarian. Every meal must be served with soybeans, bean sprouts, tofu, bean skins and cucumbers. In fact, the cooking is not bad and it is completely acceptable. We are here to travel, not to eat delicious food.
After lunch, we went to the Lijiang Wharf to prepare for a boat trip to the Lijiang River. There are many vendors selling fruits and mung bean popsicles on the dock, and many parents carry small boxes with their children to sell popsicles. I used to sell popsicles when I was a child and thought this kind of work was very hard, so I wanted to help those children and asked for the price, which was 4 yuan. When I was about to buy it, my son reminded me that the first items were only sold for 3 yuan, so I bargained with a small account and bought three pieces and gave her 10 yuan. The vendor actually said I'd just give it 1 yuan and keep the change. I didn't agree. I told her to operate with integrity. I really didn't care about 1 yuan, but this was inappropriate, so I still asked her to give me 1 yuan change.
Boat tours of the Li River are also a formality. I think the river we visited should be no more than 2000 meters. The boat didn't drive far before stopping and letting everyone take turns to take photos at the bow of the ship. Each photo costs 25 yuan. After taking the photos, he walked down for a while and then turned around and headed back. Of course, it's no fun swimming far away. It's almost like this. The scorching sun is in the sky, everyone is staying in the boat cabin blowing the air conditioner, and few people go on the boat to see the scenery. The three of us, father and son, were relatively strong. We persisted until the end, and the captain urged us to continue. It took about an hour and a half to swim on the Li River by boat, and most of the time was doing business, taking photos, selecting photos, and collecting money. After swimming the Li River, I returned to Yangshuo and stayed at Jiayuan Hotel in Yangshuo tonight. It is also a small room, a narrow bed, and a remote location. Fortunately, Yangshuo is not big, and the entire county is only an hour's walk. After dinner, some people went to participate in the self-funded project "Guilin Eternal Love" recommended by the tour guide. It was 200 yuan per person, which is said to be a conscience price. Indeed, the price stated on the itinerary was 260 yuan. About two-thirds of the whole group went to the show. I was unwilling to go because I had a small child with me, and I didn't really want to go, so I asked another big child to go to the show. Later, he came back and said that the performance was wonderful and worth the price of 200 yuan. After dinner we didn't go to the performance, we went to Yangshuo's Romantic West Street. The waves are very waves, because the West Street is on the edge of the Li River. Many people are playing in the water on the Li River. I also went. The river is full of rocks, and the water is clear and the bottom is visible. The West Street is full of shops selling products, small toys, and of course bars. Those are not for children. We can only see from a distance and pass by. The child also went to play 8D games, just wearing AR glasses, and then sitting in a moving chair to play games for 20 yuan for 8 minutes. Go back to the hotel after shopping.

The cool Lijiang River water cools us in the hot summer.
The third day and the 17th itinerary are Maling Guzhai, Yinziyan, Mulong Lake, and performances. Maling Guzhai is a tourist attraction, but it is actually a shopping spot, and tickets are also charged. After entering the village, the sister-in-law in the village promoted the whole process in the name of introducing ethnic minority culture, mainly promoting various silver ornaments, including bracelets, necklaces, water cups, combs, bowls and chopsticks. I stayed there all morning, but there were not many real shoppers. Everyone understood people and was not so easy to be deceived. Even those aunties who seemed to be on chicken blood didn't shop.
The buildings of the ancient village are a bit like the ancient buildings of our Hakka people, using more wood
Ethnic minority aunts are singing their songs
Musical instruments are also very special
This is a man-made shopping spot that specializes in silver jewelry
I saw this hand-woven fabric when I was a child
Dong musical instrument performance
It's almost 11 o'clock when I left the ancient village. Let's go to Yinziyan. Yinziyan is a cave. The cave is quite large. It turns up and down, left and right. There are a dazzling array of stalactites in various shapes. There is also a big shopping mall inside, selling small boutiques everywhere and asking people to take photos everywhere. Each photo costs 20 yuan. When the child came out of the cave, he wanted to eat stinky tofu. I suggested him to eat local fried tofu. It tasted really sour. I didn't know how it tasted or it went bad. In the end, he didn't dare to eat it and threw it away. Nowadays, many karst caves have been developed for tourism across the country, including Longyan, Fujian, Ninghua, Fujian, Enshi, Hubei and many other places. However, it is still a little shocking to see the karst caves in Guilin. They are indeed magical, magical, and created by heaven and earth.
After lunch, we went to Mulong Lake. It was a park. It was smaller than our park here and there was no beautiful scenery. It was just a lake on the edge of the Li River. We went out after a stroll.
The greening in the park is still possible
A small lake can actually run big boats
It's great to bring a selfie stick, take photos anytime, anywhere
The water in the lake is just average
Outside the park walls is the Li River
This tower is for viewing and cannot be climbed up.
The performance in the afternoon is folk dance, and there is also a performance of riding a motorcycle in a round net. I have seen it many times, but I don't feel it anymore.
At night, I stayed at Hengfeng Hotel for the first night.
On the morning of the fourth day (18th), there were two more items. One was a local specialty shopping mall. The tour guide recommended perfumes, roasted dried mushrooms, dried fish, dried mangoes, dried longan, and grosveno tea on the bus. I bought roasted mushrooms, but I had to give the tour guide some face. For a mere 100 yuan, I went to the shopping mall and bought 3 boxes of osmanthus cakes. It was said to be Guilin specialties. In fact, there was nothing delicious in the specialties. This is my personal experience. After shopping, we went to another park, Zizhou Island Park, where we could see Elephant Trunk Mountain, a landmark attraction in Guilin, across the Li River, and look at Elephant Trunk Mountain from afar. Close to the Li River, you can walk down and play in the water, and many people are swimming. There are rental swimming rings and swimsuits on the shore, all available. The scenic area says it takes an hour and a half to walk 2.5 kilometers around the park, so it is recommended that everyone take a battery car. My eldest son and I didn't believe in evil deeds and insisted on walking. In fact, it didn't take us half an hour to finish the whole journey. We walked slowly through the entire park and still waited for people to take the bus at the exit for more than ten minutes. Because there were too many people in the bus, waiting for the bus. It takes time. Since the ride was free, the younger son went on the bus with the tourists in the group. Although there are many pictures, the park is really not big. It can be completed in one go, so there is no need to take a battery car.
It is clearer to see Elephant Trunk Mountain by boat
Elephant Trunk Mountain across the river
It is said that this bamboo shoot is delicious and sweet
The water there is really clear, which is rare in Guangdong.
The four-day tour of Guilin is over here. The tour lasts for two and a half days, half of which is the shopping time in the ancient village, so the time to visit the attractions is two days. I think there is enough time. Although the tour guide limited the tour time, he gave everyone enough time to see the scenery and take photos. This way of traveling is relatively relaxing and enjoyable. Even if you spend half a day in the stockade, you can still watch the scenery and listen to explanations. If you don't want to buy things, you can still sit and rest. Nowadays, when you go out, you tend to sign up for pure play groups, so that you will have enough time to play. If you don't rush, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious food. Shopping wastes both time and money, and is destined to be eliminated and get off the tourism stage.
