This is the second time I have come to Guilin and encountered beautiful mountains, water and good weather.
For thousands of years, Guilin's mountains and rivers have attracted many literati and literati to splash ink, and many people have been fascinated and intoxicated. The unique karst landform gives birth to this wonderful mountain and beautiful water for human welfare. Now, a scenic spot centered on Guilin City and including 12 surrounding counties has been formed. Boat tours or stroll through the two rivers and four lakes, take photos on the Longji terraces, rafting on the Li River, riding the Moon Mountain, and visiting the West Street bar at night-is the most classic way to visit Guilin, and it is also a must-have for everyone who is traveling to Guilin for the first time.

This time, my parents and I came to Yangshuo, Guilin for self-driving. Driving on county roads and bustling old streets and alleys, we experienced a lot of self-driving fun.

After gathering with our parents in Guilin, we drove directly to Xingping Ancient Town, the most essential section of the Li River, to start our self-driving journey
The Li River exists in Guilin in general, and the vast majority of China's understanding of Guilin also comes from the Guilin landscape on the back of RMB 20. The location of this picture is the reflection of yellow cloth near Xingping Ancient Town in Yangshuo. This is also the first stop we are here today.

This attraction is free, and the most important thing is to spend 20 yuan to take a comparison photo.

In addition to taking photos on the roadside, you can also go down to the Li River to take photos, but the angle at the water's edge is a bit different from 20 blocks.

Along the direction of the Li River, we found a small road where we could slowly drive along the river to enjoy the scenery.

You can stop at any time while driving along the Li River to enjoy the beautiful river scenery.

Drive straight ahead from the reflection of the yellow cloth, and the end of the road is Jiuma Painting Mountain. But don't be addicted to the destination. The landscape and scenery along the way from the yellow cloth reflected on Jiuma Mountain are very beautiful. The picture outside the car window is like a picture that gradually recedes.

At the end of the road is a small pier, and Jiuma Painting Mountain is on our side, so if you want to see the full picture of Jiuma Painting Mountain, you need to take a boat to the Li River or on the other side of the river to see it. There is also another scenic spot on the other side of the river. Xianggong Mountain, you can climb high to see the scenery of the Li River.

We didn't take a boat to the other side to see Jiuma Painting Mountain because I had drones! Just fly up and watch. Hahaha.
Jiuma Painting Mountain stands on the river, with its walls as cut as it looks like a huge painting screen from afar. It is said that those who can see nine horses on this rock wall will win the first prize, and seven horses will win the runner-up. After looking for a long time, I can barely see five or six horses. It should be enough to take the civil service exam!

You can take photos by the small boat by the river, and the effect is very good when holding up a small parasol.

After watching Jiuma Painting Mountain, you can return to Xingping Ancient Town for lunch. When you arrive in Yangshuo, you will find that the street is full of beer fish. Yangshuo's beer fish is made of carp from the Li River. It is first fried with raw tea produced in Beishan District of Guangxi. It is then braised in high-quality beer produced in Guilin. It has a unique crispy and tender flavor.
There are many, many beer fish chain stores in Yangshuo. It is estimated that the market competition has been over a round. Every store has beer fish set meals, and the prices are the same. The price for two meats, one vegetarian and one soup is 128. We chose a restaurant called Sister Liang Beer Fish. It tastes very delicious, and the boss is also very enthusiastic to introduce us tour strategies, which is worth praising.

After lunch, I took a stroll in Xingping Ancient Town. Compared with the lively West Street, Xingping was simple and experienced, and its smooth bluestone slabs gave off the original flavor of Yangshuo. Xingping Ancient Street is a stone street more than 1 kilometer long. From the southeast of Xingping Ancient Town to the Lijiang River Rongshu Pond and Gudu Wharf, it is easy for residents and merchants to travel. Guild halls in various provinces are built on both sides of the ancient street. Most of the ancient buildings with various brick structures are well preserved.

In Xingping Ancient Town, you can see the sharp peaks through the ancient eaves, and you immediately feel better. This is the fun of Xingping Ancient Town.

Here you can find cute small shops and coffee shops and buy local specialties. It is worth a long stroll.

After finishing our trip to Xingping, we drove back to Yangshuo and took photos next to the pavilion by the Li River. It was really picturesque and picturesque.

This time we booked a beautiful B & B in Yangshuo-Spring Warm and Blooming B & B. At that time, it was attracted by the 270-degree mountain view floor-to-ceiling windows and the superior location close to West Street. However, I didn't expect that such a B & B would be hidden in the cramped alleys of Yangshuo. It was really impossible to drive it without some driving skills.

Fortunately, after staying at the hotel, I was very satisfied with the room. It had huge floor-to-ceiling windows, a bathtub and a view. Although I couldn't really use the bathtub when I stayed with my parents, haha.

It actually rained almost in the evening. That was good. We stayed in our room and looked at the misty rain and mountains and rivers outside the house. It was also very leisurely and enjoyable.

At night, the rain is much lighter, so we will go to the famous West Street to find food.
West Street, which has been around for more than 1400 years, is the oldest and prosperous street in Yangshuo and one of Yangshuo's important tourist attractions. The West Street is composed of many words such as foraging, shopping, and bars. Because of its rich and colorful, it has become a unique and beautiful scenery in Yangshuo.
The street less than 1 kilometer long is made of stone slabs and has a curved S-shape. The houses on both sides are simple and elegant, in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in northern Guangxi, with small blue tiles, sloping roofs, white powder walls, and hanging balconies.

The street is filled with various tourist souvenirs. The shops on both sides are a mixture of Chinese and Western. Almost all the signs are in Chinese and English. The waiters can serve tourists in fluent foreign languages.

The main street can be said to be bustling with people. There is a street with beautiful lanterns on the corner. It is a food street on West Street, so we decided to have dinner here.

Since I had already eaten beer fish, I intelligently picked some other specialties and tried the local specialty snail and Yao Mountain Chicken. The results were surprisingly delicious. The Yao Mountain Chicken was highly praised by my mother.

The restaurant also has a backup singer from a foreign brother, singing "Chengdu" in Chinese, which feels wonderful.

The most beautiful time in Guilin is early morning. I got up early and put a drone on the roof. The Li River is really beautiful in the morning fog and morning light.

Raise the drone to 500 meters, above the clouds and the top of the mountain, and see the mountains and mountains.

Although Guilin rice noodles can now be seen in many cities, they are still different when they arrive in Guilin. The most important point is that soup and ingredients can be added at will in the buffet until you are satisfied.

Shili Gallery drives comfortably

Today our itinerary is to drive all the way along the Yulong River and enjoy the scenery along the way. After coming out of Yangshuo, you will first pass through the Shili Gallery. The slow-flowing river water reflects the blue sky and white clouds. The scenery along the road is beautiful and picturesque.
The best way to visit the Yulong River is actually to take a small bamboo raft and drift slowly. However, the daytime in Guilin was too hot and sunny, so we decided to put the rafting in the evening.

I have seen flowers, rice fields, and the color of water and sky along the way, and I am really in a good mood when driving by myself.

The most beautiful Fuli Bridge on the Yulong River

Driving north along the Yulong River, you will see a very simple and beautiful bridge-Fuli Bridge. Fuli Bridge is located in the upper reaches of the Yulong River and has a history of about 500 years. It is one of the three major ancient bridges in Yangshuo. Fuli Bridge has a beautiful shape. There is an ancient tree at each bridge head. The reflection in the water is like a full moon. It is surrounded by green mountains and green water surrounds the village. The bridge is the best place to watch the scenery of the Yulong River.

You can swim and play in the water on one side of Fuli Bridge. Many tourists and locals are playing. Unfortunately, we didn't bring swimsuits, otherwise we really wanted to experience the feeling of soaking in water in the Yulong River. It must be cool!

There is a small restaurant on the other side of Fuli Bridge. Here, you can take pictures of the round bridge hole of Fuli Bridge. It is also a good place to take portraits.

Rafting in the Yulong River-Real people are swimming in paintings

It wasn't until after four o'clock that the sun finally weakened that we decided to drive to the Jiuxian Pier to experience the rafting of the Yulong River.
The Yulong River is the longest tributary of the Li River in Yangshuo, with a total length of 43.5 kilometers. Its water quality is clear all year round and the water flow is slow. There are 28 dams and more than 100 scenic spots. The entire Yulong River Scenic Area does not have any modern buildings. There are no traces of artificial carving. Everything is so primitive, natural and ancient. It is the largest pure natural landscape garden in Guilin.

Another advantage of arriving late is that there are very few tourists, and there are not many tourists left before and after, allowing us to enjoy the comfort of drifting among the mountains and rivers.
The bamboo raft travels very slowly and has a very wonderful feeling of tranquility.
The sun slowly sets westward, making the light and shadow in the mountains more layered, creating the most beautiful moment of Guilin's landscape.

When we arrived at the dock, the clouds in the sky suddenly burned into flames. The water, sky and the dock glowed with golden light. It was so beautiful!

After seeing this glorious sunset, our two-day trip to Yangshuo in Guilin came to an end. The mountains, rivers and waters here are intoxicating, and we live a life like a person in a painting. Worth coming and coming again.
