Since the Sui and Tang Dynasties were opened to obtain scholars, in 1,300 years, only 15 people have been recorded in history, including the provinces of the Central Plains, and less than one person has been distributed in each province. In the early 1980s, after Sino-Japanese trade exchanges, Japanese tuanfan companies wanted to seek cooperation locally through the Lipu County Foreign Trade Bureau. Due to its complex production process, none of the 68 foreign trade handicraft production enterprises in Lipu County at that time could undertake the production task of round fans. Mr. Qiu Guangchu faced the difficulties. After repeated research, trial production and improvement, he finally overcame the difficulties in making round fans, and formulated a complete process flow, becoming the first creator of round bamboo silk slicing round fans in China.

At present, only Mr. Qiu Guangchu's apprentice in China can complete the complete production process of this skill. Because of its exquisite selection of materials and complex production process, it has not been widely developed.

When I arrived in Guilin, I found that there was a 10-degree deviation between Guilin and Nanning. The beautiful little lady was dressed in thick clothes.

There are many craftsmen in Guilin who specialize in making group fans. The manufacturing process of group fans is complex. After the bamboo is soaked and strengthened with special materials, it is then cut into thin threads with blades and woven into the skeleton of the group fan, which is then pasted with ancient poetry and landscape paintings, characters, etc.

After cutting, edging and other processes, a group fan carrying traditional Chinese culture was made.

As an autonomous region-level intangible cultural heritage, the group fan mainly contains portraits of people, animals, celebrations, landscape patterns, etc. The colors are rich but not gorgeous, exuding a retro charm, and the effect is unique and full of fragrance.
