Guilin is a famous historical city. I used to go there often. However, none of them had such in-depth and high-level experiences as they attended the 2019 China-ASEAN Expo tourism exhibition gathering activities last year. Let's put it this way, this time's collection of customs is relatively high-end food and accommodation, so that everyone knows that traveling to Guilin and Liuzhou does not have to be poor. You can also come here to enjoy and experience slow life.
Now it only takes two hours by bullet train from Nanning to Guilin, which is very convenient. On the afternoon of October 17, 2019, I arrived at Guilin Station, got off the bullet train, and asked the organizer to pick me up directly to Dongxi Lane to meet with the media collection group. The driver took me to the alley next to the Jiefang Bridge on the Lijiang River, saying that the car could not be driven in. Entering from here, you will see the Jingjiang Imperial Mansion.
This was the first time I entered this Donghua Street, and I found that the buildings facing the street were all very antique. I came to Jingjiang Palace. As soon as I entered the gate, I encountered a large group coming out of it. I didn't even have time to visit, so I missed it this time, so I followed everyone to stroll the East and West Alley.
Guilin Dongxi Lane Block is located in the downtown area of Guilin. It is the two alleys on the left and right in front of the Zhengyang Gate of Jingjiang Palace in the famous scenic spot Duxiu Peak. It was opened in 2016. Two years ago, I went to Congjiang, Guizhou, and passed by Guilin and stayed for one night. I came here that night because of fame and found that there were very few people and few shops open. I didn't expect to be here again. Although it was raining lightly, it was still very lively here. All large shops and small shops were open. It turned out that Dongxi Alley had become a new popular tourist attraction in Guilin.
The Jingjiang Palace where Dongxi Lane is located is the official residence of King Ming in Guilin. Fourteen generations of Jingjiang Kings once lived in this palace. Therefore, due to its prominent geographical location, it has always been a prosperous place. Today's Dongxi Lane is known as the Ming and Qing Dynasties street area. The houses and streets are built as old as before, with blue bricks and black tiles, red windows and wooden doors, and ancient city walls. It has an antique style and is full of history. When people walk in it, they feel like traveling through history. East-West Alley has a large area, bigger than Wuhan Hubu Alley. It is already very prosperous now. I hope it will become more and more famous in the future.
