Damian Mountain, also known as "Goupo Mountain", is located in Huangnitian Village, Xingping Town, on the west side of Luosi Mountain. The mountain is named for its large flat stone cliffs facing the river. It is a holy place for photography enthusiasts to shoot the sunrise.
The Li River comes from west to east. When it crosses Xingping, a big word "bow" is written. The winding Li River turns around here and looks back, showing its graceful figure among the mountains, winding around the mountains, forming the most beautiful scenery of the Li River, known as the "First Beautiful Bend of the Li River". Damian Mountain, at an altitude of 546 meters, is an excellent place to climb and admire the Li River. It is located in the middle of the word "bow" and is considered to be the most suitable place on the Li River to watch the sunrise.
Standing on the top of the mountain and looking into the distance, you will see dense blue peaks and forests around you, just like bamboo forests filled with sharp spring bamboo shoots after the rain. Xingping Wharf, Dahebei Village, Laozhai Mountain, Chaoban Mountain, Huangbu Reflection... all kinds of scenery are unobstructed. The sun illuminates the mountains on the front into bright and dark, creating a strong contrast and three-dimensional feeling. The clouds in the sky are like cotton, laid flat on the tops of the mountains, like a pure and flawless cloud carpet. Looking down at your feet, the Li River water is as wide as blue, and the water flow is as slow as a mirror, reflecting the reflection of the strange peaks surrounding the river. It is quiet and beautiful.
