On the National Day this year, we set out for a self-driving tour from Nanning. The first stop was to Zhaoping. Because Gaode made a mistake in navigation, we drove in the direction of Guilin. We had to make the mistake and drive to the last stop we had originally scheduled-Yueling Village, Guanyang County.
We left Nanning at 11:00 on October 3 and arrived at the entrance of the village at 17:45.
Yueling Village is an administrative village under the jurisdiction of Wenshi Town, Guanyang County. It is the second batch of traditional Chinese villages. It has been listed as the sixth batch of famous historical and cultural villages in China by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
There is an old gate building at the entrance of Yueling Village, with many plaques reading "Juren" and "Jinshi" on it, indicating that many officials have been appointed here. Walking in, I found an old house. When I entered, I saw that it turned out to be a Gui Theater. It was quite old and specialized in performing Gui opera. I really didn't expect this. It turns out that Yueling Village is the birthplace of Gui opera. People in Yueling Village have a tradition of loving to perform and watch Gui opera. It is said that there is more than one stage in the village.
Walking out from the Gui Theater, there are old brick houses. Yueling Ancient Dwelling is a typical southern Hunan style dwelling house built in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. There are many lanes here. The lanes are covered with strip-shaped bluestone slabs or blue bricks. The lanes are relatively narrow. Most of the lanes are in the shadow of buildings. In many lanes, there are drainage ditches arranged along the lanes, which reflects that the layout of the village is very formal and complete.
There is an inscription next to the gate of Yueling Village
Unfortunately, there are new buildings next to and behind them
The plaque above the door tells history
The words on the wall of the old house are vaguely legible
Inside the Gui Theater
The stage inside the Gui Theater
Go backstage
The floors are all blue bricks
Coming out of the Gui Theater is the bluestone alley
Although the alleys are narrow, they basically have open drainage ditches.
The alley is long
Taking pictures in alleys is very interesting
There are many preserved ancient houses in this area
Came to a very distinctive old house
The door is very high
Grass is growing on it.
I can't see what the layout of the house looks like
There are 6 wooden pillars in the room
It has a feeling of progress layer by layer
There is also a stone screen outside the door here
Unfortunately, the words on the door can't be read clearly
