Was there a moment when you felt that life had lost its passion? I don't want to work, eat tasteless, lose my temper for no reason, and I still feel lonely even with my friends. Fast-paced life makes people impetuous. Anxiety about the current situation and confusion about the future are also common emotions among urban people. Whenever this time, you should come on a trip that you want to go on, go up the mountain or go into the sea, and see the world outside. The place I want to recommend to you today is a great place where you can let go of your troubles, purify your soul, and return to your true nature. It is suitable for a few days to stay here, sip tea, meditate, and enjoy a slow life.

Photographed in September 2019 in Jingshan, Yuhang, Hangzhou.

Yuhang Jingshan is located 50 kilometers north of the west of Hangzhou. This is where Jingshan Temple, a thousand-year-old temple that is famous in the Buddhist world. There are rolling mountains and a very high forest coverage. The mountains are full of flowers in spring, the summer is cool to escape the heat, the ancient trees are red with red leaves in autumn, and the snow is covered in winter. No matter which season you are in, it is beautiful and will bring you different feelings.

If you have a long vacation, then I suggest staying here for a few days so that you can wash your lungs in the mountains and cultivate your soul. If it's just a 2-3 day trip on weekends or short holidays, then my boutique route today should still suit you well.

Day 1: At 8 o'clock in the morning, we set out from Hangzhou and drove for about an hour to the foot of the famous Buddhist shrine Jingshan Temple.

There are two ways to choose from Shangjingshan Temple: one is to transfer to the free shuttle bus in the scenic area (because the mountain road of Shangjingshan Temple is very narrow and the road conditions are complex, self-driving will be unsafe, so it is recommended to transfer). This method allows you to directly reach the temple on the top of the mountain without having to spend much effort, which is very suitable for friends who travel with the elderly and children; the second is to take the ancient road. The whole journey takes about an hour. Although walking the mountain road is a bit tiring, the scenery along the way is really beautiful.

We chose to take the ancient road. The Jingshan Ancient Road was built in the Tang Dynasty. In ancient times, it was the only way for pilgrims to visit Jingshan Temple on the top of the mountain. It is one of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Forest Ancient Roads in Hangzhou".

A stone path surrounded by green bamboos on both sides. You can also see tea gardens on the edge of the ancient road. The famous Jingshan tea is produced here, and many tea culture enthusiasts often come here. Lifelike statues of little monks can be seen along the way, giving the ancient road a bit of Zen.

Along the way up the mountain, there are many footprints left by ancient celebrities, including Dongpo Washing Inkstone Pond. Su Dongpo, a great literary hero in the Song Dynasty, once washed brushes and inkstones here, hence his name.

After passing through the inkstone pond, it didn't take long to arrive at Jingshan Temple on the top of the mountain. Jingshan Temple was founded during the Tianbao Period of the Tang Dynasty and has a history of more than 1200 years. Perhaps it is not as famous as Lingyin Temple now, but in the Southern Song Dynasty, its incense was very prosperous and was listed as the top of the five major Buddhist monasteries in Jiangnan.

During the ancient process of cultural exchanges between China and Japan, when Japanese eminent monks studied in Jingshan Temple, they not only brought classics and Confucian books back to Japan, but also spread Jingshan tea culture to Japan, making Jingshan the source of Japanese tea ceremony. Nowadays, many Japanese tea ceremony people come here to fulfill their wish to "find their roots".

After thousands of years, the ancient temples have continued to have incense. It is lunch time after visiting the temple. There is a vegetarian hall next to the temple. You can take the shuttle bus down the mountain after finishing your meal. If you are not very hungry, you can also go down the mountain to eat.

After lunch, we went to the Dajingshan Tourism Distribution Center in the afternoon. The building with white walls and black tiles is hidden in the sea of bamboo. It is simple but has a sense of design. In addition to its basic functions, this distribution center also has cultural exchange, leisure, entertainment, exhibitions, catering and other functions. We came here mainly to experience tea ordering and meditation in the Song Dynasty.

When it comes to ordering tea, we have to mention Japanese matcha and ordering tea, which can be said to be popular all over the world. I believe many people have eaten Japanese matcha products, but many people may not know that Japanese matcha originated in Yuhang Jingshan, so of course, when you come here, you must experience the Song Dynasty tea ordering here.

Experiencing ordering tea in the Song Dynasty is a process that requires patience. Of course, there will be teachers to explain and guide first before we can officially proceed. Because there are many steps, I won't go into detail one by one, but leave a sense of mystery for you to experience it for yourself.

Make a bowl of tea soup in the ancient way and savor it carefully. However, this process is enough to leave you with endless aftertaste.

Tea and Zen have been inextricably linked in Buddhism since ancient times. After tasting some tea, let's take another spiritual meditation journey. Similarly, there are also professional teachers here. The first thing is to change into a loose burlap coat that instantly makes you feel relaxed and at ease. Then clean your hands and burn incense before entering the meditation place.

Under the leadership of a professional teacher, he first closed his eyes and meditated for 10 minutes, and then meditated. Although it only takes a few minutes, you can really relax completely.

A cup of tea, a pen, listen to Sanskrit, slowly copy your favorite scriptures, and your impetuous heart will immediately become peaceful.

Day 2: Sleep until you wake up naturally, go for a walk in the mountains and seas of flowers and enjoy the taste of autumn.

The first phase of Hangzhou Jingshan Huahai Scenic Area covers an area of more than 1,000 acres, surrounded by mountains and rivers, and is perfectly integrated with the natural environment of Dajingshan. There are various flowers and trees planted in the garden, including sunflower, Persian chrysanthemum, thousand days red, drunken butterfly flower, Yu beauty, snapdragon, fragrant lotus, beauty cherry, etc., which will vary every season.

There weren't many varieties of flowers blooming when we went. According to the staff in the scenic area, flowers will not enter their full bloom until the National Day Golden Week. If you also like flowers and want to wander in the sea of flowers, then the upcoming National Day holiday is really not to be missed.

The park is very big. You can walk slowly and enjoy it, or you can take the small train in the scenic area. You can travel through the entire Huahai Scenic Area by riding on it. This is also a check-in point for Internet celebrities. Beautiful women who like to take photos will definitely not miss it. here.

After seeing the scenery and tasting the delicious food, a leisurely meditation journey came to a successful conclusion. If you have time, it is recommended that you stay for a few days. There are many scenic spots around you; you can also integrate into the lives of local people, which will give you a different understanding of life.

Recommended accommodation: Luyu Junlan Resort Hotel. The hotel is located in the famous national 4A-level scenic spot Shuangxi Bamboo Sea Rafting Area, about 1.5 kilometers away from Dajingshan Tourism Distribution Center. The environment is quiet, the scenery is beautiful, and the historical and cultural heritage is profound. It is said that Lu Yu, the "Tea Sage", once studied tea affairs here and wrote the famous "Tea Classics".

Recommended food: Of course, you must try local specialties when you go to a place, especially for foodies. This is another fun during travel. There are many delicacies in Jingshan, mainly farm specialties. You can eat many wild things here, such as wild small fish, river shrimp, loach, etc. Friends who love meat recommend trying the braised hoof rice. It is really very delicious.
