It is located under the two peaks of Zhaoming and Rising Sun at the southern foot of Xitianmu Mountain. It is hidden among the green mountains and green forests. Not far east of Chanyuan Temple, there is a small village called Zhutuoling at the foot of Xuri Peak. It is said that this place has been the only road connecting the East and West Tianmu Mountains since ancient times. There is also such a legend about the origin of the name "Zhutuoling"! During the reign of Tang Guangqi, there was a wanton young man named Zhu Daocong in Qiancheng. Due to his spoiled parents, he ate, drank and played all day long and did not do any proper work. After his parents passed away, his family property was suddenly destroyed by him, and his former fair-weather friends also left him. The world was cold and the human feelings were warm and cold, which made him truly realize the fault of being idle in the past. "The prodigal son never changes gold when he returns." He is determined to repent and abandon evil and turn to good. So he begged for food every day, but insisted on cleaning the streets in the hidden city. One day, Zhu Daocong was sweeping the street when he suddenly heard several old women passing by burning incense discussing: Entering Xitianmu Mountain, the ridge road of Rising Sun Peak is too difficult to walk. Zhu Daocong couldn't help but have a thought: It's a great thing to open up this mountain road. Therefore, he decided to open mountains and cut mountains, pave stone roads, and benefit one side. Since he was twenty years old, he went to Xitianmu Mountain to work as a Toutuo (a monk begging for food). He got up early and touched the night every day, carried soil and rocks on his back, and never stopped. Spring flowers and autumn fruits are 40 degrees, and white hair and beautiful peaks are in the blink of an eye. Over the past 40 years, Zhu Toutuo's hands were sharpened like pine piles, and his shoulders were like rock skins. He still carried and carried, and finally covered the ridge road with stone slabs one by one, and planted the roadside full of cedar trees. At the end of the road, there were more than a hundred stone steps, which were particularly neat and meticulous, and were called the "Hundred Steps Platform". Finally, this ridge road was paved! Strangely enough, Zhu Toutuo didn't know what happened. Some people say that he has achieved a positive result and gone to become an immortal! In order to express their nostalgia for him, later generations called this ridge he built "Zhutoutuo Ridge", and the village on the ridge was also called "Zhutuo Ridge".

From the western foot of Zhutuo Ridge to the top of the ridge, it is 500 meters long, with a height difference of 108 meters and a width of 1.7 meters. There are 347 stone steps. The ridge is densely shaded and covers the sun. It is a "natural oxygen bar" for tourists to cool off and escape the heat in summer. Our "Miao Village" relies on it precisely, enjoying the beauty of the mountains and the protection of the temple, and receiving the cultural influence of famous officials from all walks of life.
