Hangzhou is a city that I really like. I go there several times a year, and the scenery inside and around the city is also well-known. To be honest, during holidays, almost all the scenic spots in Hangzhou city are visited by tourists, such as West Lake, Broken Bridge, Leifeng Pagoda, and so on. If you want to find a quiet place, it's better to run a little further outside and reach the small county town around to enjoy your own vacation.
Tonglu is the best choice, driving for about an hour and spending two days enjoying yourself. Even if you are not a resident of Shanghai and Hangzhou, you can directly take the high-speed rail to Tonglu. The famous Fuxing Line G40 stops at Tonglu Station. This time, I will take the high-speed rail to explore this beautiful place.
This time, my friends and I chose Chuiyun Tongtian River and Langshi Jintan near Tonglu to stay for two days. From the beautiful and mysterious underground river to the hanging glass walkway, we have a very wonderful feeling, as if we can do everything from heaven to earth.
Shooting equipment: Canon EOS RP+24-105
Let's take a look at a beautiful picture first
Lying on a brand new glass bridge, experiencing a thrilling and dizzying feeling
Boating on the picturesque lake and interacting with the magical Shouting Spring, the higher you shout, the higher you spray
Take a boat into the underground river cave and experience the wonders of nature
Are you a devil's figure, the internet celebrity pillar of Langshi Jintan?
From all parts of the country to Tonglu, you can choose the high-speed railway to Tonglu, or you can take the shuttle bus from Hangzhou to Tonglu. In order to wait for my friends to meet, I first stayed in Fenshui County, took a taxi to the gate of Chuiyun Tongtian River Scenic Area in the morning, and ate a delicious Xiaolongbao with local characteristics
I came here early in the morning to reduce the number of people drifting in the underground river. The morning air was particularly fresh, and there was a faint morning mist in the distant mountains. I felt the warm beauty from Jiangnan, and we became the first wave of people to enter the scenic area. Happy!
"Chuiyun Tongtian River" refers to a karst underground river that has formed a typical karst landform due to factors such as crustal changes and volcanic eruptions billions of years ago. After entering the entrance of the scenic area, we will take a boat from the lakeside pier to enter the cave, which is known as "hidden river boating". From the cave, there is a kilometer long underground river that is just wide enough for boating, which has also become a way of sightseeing by boat drifting inside the cave.
After boating, you can also experience the exploration of the underground Grand Canyon by walking inside the cave.
Due to our early arrival, we can take a photo of the unmanned dock. The distant clouds and mist flow in the mountains, complementing the newly built sky glass overpass.
There are still two black swans in the lake! The posture is very elegant.
Before boarding the ship, you can take a few photos on the beautiful lake. The green lake water complements the pavilion behind, creating a picturesque Jiangnan landscape.
Since we arrived too early and the rowing staff have not yet started work, let's fly a drone first. The high angle view is very interesting.
By the way, let me introduce this fountain on the lake in detail. Have you noticed that one photo has it while the other photo does not? This is the famous "Shouting Spring" on the Chuiyun Tongtian River. It is a voice controlled spring that needs to be shouted near the spring to come out, and the louder the sound, the higher the spray. I happened to have an old man with high lung capacity come to try while flying the drone, and captured today's highest Shouting Spring haha.
Haha, I'm also here to participate.
Taking some photos of playing in the water is also excellent
Embarking on a boat in the hidden river, entering a mysterious fairylandAfter playing on the lake for a while, we rowed into the cave and the highlight began!
We will enter the cave and the hidden river from this entrance, where there is a faint mist at the entrance of the rock, creating a vague and mysterious feeling.
The water in the underground river is shallow, with rocks intertwined and many of them very low. The boatmaker will remind us to lower our heads and observe different stalactites. Looking up, you can still see many bats perching on the top of the cave, which startles you. However, don't worry about them not coming out to move around during the day
After the boat entered the hidden river, the temperature instantly dropped and there was a feeling of ice cold. The surroundings became very quiet, and only the sound of water droplets could be heard, which felt both peaceful and wonderful. The boating lady said that it was because there were fewer people now, and if there were more people, the echo would be louder than outside. Therefore, she suggested that everyone come early to experience this feeling!
There is a place in the hidden river where you can hike for a short distance to admire some beautiful caves, and the boat will wait at the other end.
After boarding the ship, we continued to sail in the dark river~We saw various magical stalactites forming reflections in the water, which were very beautiful. The boat slowly moves forward, the scenery slowly recedes, and sometimes there is a feeling of driving in the Milky Way, which is particularly wonderful. It is a feeling that ordinary caves do not have. Everyone must try it out.
Along the way, when we were sailing, sometimes we encountered areas with very low stones. The boatman would remind us to lower our heads and slow down the speed when I wanted to take photos. Due to the dim light in the dark river, remember to use the maximum aperture and higher sensitivity to take photos, otherwise you will get many flashy and fake cave photos
Along the way, we saw various types of stalactites, which were precipitated from calcium carbonate in caves in carbonate areas. We would see various sharp stalactites dripping with water. In fact, they were still growing, but their growth rate was very slow. Therefore, all the stalactites we could see were very old grandfathers. Listening to the explanation of the boatmaker, we suddenly felt a sense of awe that the scenery in this cave was full of life.
Watching karst caves on water is a major feature of Chuiyun Tongtian River, and another major feature is the creative lighting inside, such as this firefly like decoration, which is really dreamy! The photo effect is also particularly good.
Moving forward to a slightly wider water area, we enter another dreamy cave light show where many jellyfish hang, emitting a faint blue light that slowly flickers. The slowly moving ship is like walking in the deep sea, and the slightly cold air further highlights the realism of this atmosphere. This is the most impressive scene of this dark river.
Due to the dim light in the dark river, I tried using my phone to light up my face, and the effect was much better than shooting directly!
After passing the jellyfish lamp, the dark river boating is about to end. At the end, there is something like a time and space tunnel. Because there is a large difference between the up and down rivers, a device similar to a track was built to pull the small boat up, which is called a water elevator. The ship lifting device lifts people and ships from the first level waterway to the second level waterway at an altitude of 8 meters. The flashing light bars during the ascent really make people feel like they are crossing time and space.
At this point, the underground river boating in the cave has come to an end. I really enjoyed this trip. In fact, the cave is not particularly prominent visually, but sitting on the boat watching the cave, the karst landscape and water surface form a reflection, deepening the beauty. And the creative lighting in the cave also greatly improves appearance and experience, making it the most creative cave I have ever seen!
After the end of the boating in the underground river, you can directly go up from the exit to the ground, or you can choose to continue looking at the next cave. There are no boats here, and it is a walking tour, known as "Exploring the Underground Grand Canyon"
This section of cave stalactites is even more diverse and colorful, with some steps up and down that require wearing a safety helmet. I didn't think a safety helmet was necessary at first, but after entering, I realized that there were many low rocks that were very easy to bump into. Safety helmets often rub against the rocks, so safety helmets are really important. If you need to take photos, you can take them off in a safe place.
There is water flowing through the cave, it is very clear and cold, and when touched, it feels comfortable all over.
In this cave, you can stop and observe each stalactite at any time, unleash your imagination! Nature is the most powerful creator.
Look, this dripping water contains calcium carbonate, which is the growing stalactite.
In terms of the form of stalactites alone, the underground Grand Canyon is more abundant and visually appealing than the one in the underground river. However, I still prefer the form of the underground river. The feeling of watching the scenery and moving by boat is really beautiful.
Those who are afraid of heights should enter with caution! Sky glass overpassAfter coming out of the cave entrance, we are actually halfway up the mountain. We can choose to go up or down the mountain: go down the steps, take a glass drift down the mountain, or go up the steps to experience the thrilling and thrilling glass bridge.
Of course I chose to go to the glass bridge! To be honest, I have experienced the glass walkway in Beijing, Henan and other places, but I have never experienced the glass bridge across the sky. And this glass bridge was just opened this summer, and the transparency of the bridge deck is particularly good. In short... it's very exciting!
To protect the transparency of the glass bridge deck, it is necessary to wear the provided slippers when going up the bridge. Amidst the screams of my buddies, I walked up calmly and meticulously!! It is indeed a new bridge, clean to the point where there are hardly any scratches on the glass, and the scenery below can be clearly seen. And here, you can also see the beautiful scenery in the distance, and the shouting spring can also be seen very clearly.
But it's really a bit scary!! It's really a feeling of walking in mid air.
Everyone is here! I still need to take more photos, otherwise how can I show off that I walked such a cool bridge.
If you want to showcase the characteristics of a glass bridge, it is recommended to squat down and take photos. With the help of the reflection of the glass, you can achieve a reflection effect and effectively block other tourists behind you. It can be said to be a win-win situation.
You see, it's really new and clean, and the clouds in the sky are reflected very clearly. At the beginning of the journey, I didn't think there was much to it. As I walked towards the middle, the drop from the ground became very large. Seeing the deep forest under my feet with the naked eye can really make my heart beat faster and more exciting.
Also, it should be noted that protective slippers need to be worn on the bridge deck. When taking photos, you can temporarily take them off, but try not to walk barefoot on the bridge deck as it can be a bit dangerous
Put a drone on the glass bridge, you can see it's really transparent!
Coming down from the glass bridge, there is also an angel wing on the other side of the boardwalk, which was designed by American graffiti designer Colette Miller (with signature in the bottom right corner!). This designer has a big name and has once painted the popular angel wings of Los Angeles and Dubai. Many Instagram influencers are eager to take photos. When the angel wings come to Tonglu La, remember to take a photo with them!
Besides the frontal angle, taking a close-up from the side is also very good
Glass drift, weaving through the sky and forestsDue to the lack of any obstruction, the glass bridge is still very hot after walking once. Looking at the hiking trail down the mountain, do you feel a bit tired? Don't worry, we can just take the slide down the mountain haha.
On the glass bridge, you can see the glass rafting below. You can slide from halfway up the mountain to the foot, without having to go down the mountain by yourself! It's definitely a super cool experience.
To play this activity, you need to wear a full body raincoat and sit on an inflatable boat. Each boat can accommodate 1-3 people and float down with the water flowing through the glass.
The upper part of glass rafting is mostly suspended, which is particularly exciting, while the lower part is drifting in the forest, giving the feeling of crossing through the forest. The speed of the float is actually slower than imagined, and a light breeze blowing on the face will feel very pleasant. When taking turns, I will slow down and turn at a fast speed, and finally fall into the pool. It's really super cool!
Don't rush after drifting, you can watch the expressions of the people coming down, it's quite exciting.
Dangdang, this is the feeling of pleasure after falling.
It only takes a few minutes to float down from the glass overpass, but it may take 20 minutes to walk down, so it's better to choose the fast method of floating down haha.
An unmissable photo spot for internet celebritiesAfter getting off the glass rafting, you can also take photos at several places on the nearby boardwalk before walking. The scenic area has built several popular bird nests deep in the forest, which can take photos of bird nests no less than Bali.
There are three bird's nests in total, big or small for you to choose from. When we went there, we didn't lay a mat yet, and sitting on it was a bit bumpy. It should have been laid by now.
The sunset is setting in the west, and you can also take photos on the boardwalk.
Before leaving, take another look at Shouquan. Now, people have gathered in front of Shouquan, and the constant shouting keeps Shouquan non-stop.
After leaving the entrance of the scenic area, you can eat at the restaurant at the entrance. Although it is simple, the taste is very good, and local bamboo shoots and shrimp are both good choices.

When I went, the package ticket for Chuiyun Tongtian River boat tour, Lingyun Overpass, and Lingkong Glass Drifting was 139 yuan, and an additional fee was required for the underground Grand Canyon. Overall, it's still very cost-effective and can be played for a whole day.
The next day, we went to Langshi Jintan, not far from Chuiyun Tongtian River. This place used to be an ancient port for water and land transportation of Tianmu River, with many historical relics, allusions, and folk legends. Langshi Jintan is famous for rafting, but in fact, besides rafting, there are many highly playable projects. The entire scenic area is large, with various cultural and leisure tourism areas, wild barbecues, tents, and other characteristic tourism projects. You can walk and play for most of the day.
I heard that there are courtyards and temples in the Jiangnan style in Langshi Jintan, so I bought a dress with a slightly improved Chinese style on board, which matches the style here very well.
After entering the gate, there are two historic sites, Jingming Tower and Hidden Dragon Hall. You can look at the introduction and explore slowly.
There are large bamboo forests and green spaces in Langshi Jintan. Let's take a set of ten sided ambush photos!
Go inside again and find a particularly interesting device - Tiktok Net Red Body Wall. Come and see what your body is!
As for me, the devil's physique is unbearable, it can barely be considered a perfect physique~It seems that if I do, I will start a dieting battle again.
The large lawn in front of us is the camping site of Langshi Jintan, where we can have a bonfire party, barbecue, and camping. The back area provides a well-equipped boiler and water source, and there is also a well-equipped children's play area next to it. There are several large swings, which are lively on weekends. Today is work day, so it's quiet.
Since we don't have barbecue, let's take photos on the big lawn, paired with the bamboo forest and distant mountains in the background, to get a set of summer fresh air
Passing through the big lawn, we arrived at the riverbank, which is the place where we will drift today. The riverbank is not a mudflat, but rather round pebbles, which are said to have formed during the rising tide of the Qiantang River in the past. It is very magical.
There are two kinds of boats parked by the river, one is the bamboo raft with boatmen rowing, the other is the local Loong Boat, but Loong Boat is to row by ourselves. We only have a few people, so we can't try it,
Of course, you can take a picture without Loong Boat.
Riding a bamboo raft down the river, due to the recent typhoon passing by, the river water was slightly turbid, and the boatman said it was usually very clear. At times, bamboo rafts cross streams and beaches, and at other times, they play in the water. The beautiful scenery on both sides is like a painting reflecting the river. Occasionally, white birds fly by, creating a poetic and picturesque atmosphere of people moving scenery.
After drifting to the finish line, you can wait for the shuttle bus to pick us up at the entrance of the scenic area, or you can take a taxi directly here
Tourist attraction address: Langshi Village, Hengcun Town, Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province
Business hours: 8:00-16:30
Ticket: Langshi Jintan Ticket+Drifting Ticket Adult ticket booked online is 60 yuan/person, and for a single ticket, it is 40 yuan/person
In just two days, I leisurely strolled through two spots in Tonglu, feeling relaxed and interesting. It was very suitable for people from Shanghai and Hangzhou to come over for a weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't experience the unique homestays in Tonglu this time. I must make up for it next time I come!
