An ancient and brand new park

The first time I heard the name of the tea sage Lu Yu was in Jay Chou's poem "Grandpa brewed Tea", which said, "Grandpa brewed tea/There is a taste called home/Lu Yu brewed tea/Like a splashed ink landscape painting..."“
Thousands of years have passed, and we naturally cannot drink Lu Yupao's tea, but in the Lu Yuquan Park on Jingshan in Hangzhou, there is still the Lu Yuquan that was left behind by Lu Yupao when he retired here; Luyuquan leans against the Shuangxi River, surrounded by undulating tea mountains, truly resembling a splashed ink landscape painting.
Here, you can vaguely taste the charm of Tang Dynasty tea, a millennium ago tea tasting era.

People who love tea, no one knows Lu Yu; In Jingshan, Hangzhou, no one knows that Luyuquan is located in the northwest of the county seat. The author of "The Classic of Tea", Lu Yu, born in the Tang Dynasty, compiled the world's first tea monograph, ushering in an era of tea and writing a legend of tea culture. According to legend, Lu Yu lived in seclusion on Jingshan Mountain to avoid the An Lushan Rebellion. He wrote the tea scriptures and tasted its ranking, thinking that it was sweet and refreshing, comparable to the refreshing spring in Zhongling. Therefore, this spring water is known as the "third spring in the world", which is also known as Lu Yu Spring here.

Now, based on Luyuquan, which was originally designated as a cultural heritage unit, a new park with a tea culture theme has been created. After renovation, the scenery of Luyuquan becomes more elegant, with rockeries, pools, pavilions, and pavilions exuding the charm of tea culture everywhere.

In order to provide tourists with an immersive experience in the ancient style park, the entrance we visited on the day was the performance of the Chinese classical group dance "Beauty Walk", which was once stunning across the internet. The dancers dressed in classical costumes, with graceful and graceful figures, are unparalleled in style, perfectly replicating the welcome ceremony of the Tang Dynasty.

After entering the park, there are check-in points decorated with tassel curtains and classical lanterns with the words "Lu Yuquan" written on them, full of the magnificent charm of the Tang Dynasty. The model dressed in Tang style Hanfu's every frown, smile, and move is full of classical charm, earning everyone's attention.

In front of the Tea Saint Lu Yu Bronze Statue Square, a group of children dressed in Hanfu are holding a Tea Saint worship ceremony. Watching the serious and dignified children holding scrolls, reciting the Three Character Classic of Tea in unison; We lament that the tea culture that has been passed down for thousands of years must continue to be developed and developed in the new generation.

The little sister of the tumbler who caught fire in Xi'an also had the Jingshan Fenweng. Rotating and swaying, holding hands with smiles, and interacting with tourists, the atmosphere of the park on that day was unprecedentedly lively; It is hard not to expect to immediately explore this ancient and brand new tea culture park.

Under the Yuquan Pavilion, there are also Hanfu beauties playing Tang style ancient music for passing tourists. Slowly singing and dancing, condensing silk and bamboo, before drinking tea, it has become a comprehensive sensory enjoyment.

[It's a park, it's also a classical garden]

Upon entering the park, the first impression is that it is not so much a park as a newly renovated classical garden. There are also many pavilions, towers, ponds, mountains, and lush forests and bamboo groves here. Although the garden is not large, the unique landscaping techniques of Chinese gardens allow for the transformation of different perspectives, step by step, and the ability to see big from small to large.

Looking at this garden from different angles, one can see its density and antique charm. At the end of summer and beginning of autumn, the sky is high and the clouds are light. Under the clear sky, the heat has long disappeared, making it best to slow down and appreciate the classical atmosphere between every blade of grass, every tree, and every brick and tile in the park. Although it is the first day of the National Day holiday, compared to the conformity of people by the West Lake in Hangzhou, the passenger flow here still allows you to elegantly and calmly appreciate the deep courtyard here.

Unlike the small and elegant Suzhou gardens, the buildings of Lu Yuquan have a more grand and magnificent Tang style, with excellent connotations. Presumably, a hundred years later, this is another excellent historical building that will be passed down as a classic of ancient architecture.

【 Ancient style amusement park? Starting with Hanfu experience 】

Without Hanfu, why talk about ancient style park tours? You may only be one set away from a truly immersive ancient style park in Tang style Hanfu. Since the performance staff are all wearing Hanfu, tourists are naturally also indispensable.

Hanfu doupao can be seen everywhere on the streets of Hangzhou, and Luyuquan Park can also rent Hanfu and provide Tang style makeup. Because the park is newly opened, many Hanfu are brand new and still have hanging tags. As a level 10 Hanfu enthusiast, I have noticed that my Hanfu and my friends come from some original online stores, so there is no need to worry about going through the mountains. The quality issues that my colleagues are most worried about can be put aside. In terms of renting Hanfu, Luyuquan Park is definitely sincere.

In the scenic area with the theme of the Tang Dynasty tea sage Lu Yu, there is naturally no more suitable one than the Tang style chest length shirt and skirt. The Tang style hairstyle is also included, which is definitely a blessing for the disabled party. There is no need to wake up early and change one's hairstyle anymore.

Because it is an ancient style garden, there are many scenes that can be photographed wearing Hanfu, such as the beautiful woman leaning under the eaves, leaking windows, arches, pavilions, and so on; Bring some ancient props and you can take photos all day here. For example, the winding corridor in front of us, with customized red lanterns adorned with the three characters of Lu Yuquan swaying above, is our favorite scene to shoot!

And by the high walls and bamboo forests, there is another feeling of distant dreams in the world. The cobblestone path leads to a winding and secluded path, and the lanterns among the bamboo leaves are faintly visible. There are always some touching small corners that we may encounter unintentionally.

——I would like to recommend the most classic angle for Hanfu Miss to come to Luyuquan for check-in and shooting

Wearing Hanfu for travel has become a new trend, and perhaps Luyuquan Park in Jingshan, Hangzhou will become your first or one of the stops for Hanfu travel. Alright, a truly immersive ancient style park, starting from now on.

【 The Past and Present Lives of Lu Yuquan's Original Spring 】

Since it is Luyu Spring, where is the spring water?

According to the Yuhang County Annals, there was a clear spring in the place where Lu Yu wrote the Tea Classic. After Lu Yu arrived, he dredged the spring hole to make the spring water clear and bottomed out. Afterwards, he came here every day to fetch water and boil tea. In memory of his achievements, later generations called this spring "Luyu Spring".

Behind the white wall of Lu Yuquan, which reads "the third spring in the world", there is a circular arched gate that forms a clear division from the outer garden, creating a unique cave inside. Inside, there is a towering ancient camphor tree accompanying it. The spring is divided into two streams, one large and one small. The well is rectangular in shape, with a width of 2 meters to the south, 1.1 meters to the north, and 3.5 meters to the east and west. The spring is named "Luyuquan" with three characters, strong and vigorous, and was inscribed by the literary giant Sha Menghai.

As I approached, the spring water was clear and verdant, with leaves rustling by the edge of the spring. Ficus, lychees, and vines swaying gently, creating an extremely tranquil atmosphere. In history, Luyuquan has also gone through vicissitudes. It was not until the late 1970s that it was rediscovered and preserved after several revisions. In 1986, it was rated as a cultural relic protection unit in Hangzhou City.

Beside Lu Yuquan, there is the former site where Lu Yu once wrote the "Classic of Tea" - Tiaoxi Caotang. The room displays tables and chairs, beds, stoves, etc., restoring the simple living scene of the Tea Saint Lu Yu to us.

Standing outside the low wall surrounded by bamboo fences, everything was silent except for the wind. There was an illusion that the door of the thatched cottage would creak and be pushed open the next minute. Lu Yu frowned and slowly walked out, holding a pen.

[Hongjian Tower, Appreciating the Legendary Life of Tea Saint]

There are one or two small buildings in Luyuquan Park, named "Hongjian Tower", and the name of the building is taken from the character of Luyu. This small and elegant building is filled with memories of Jing Shan for Lu Yu and tea. Throughout his life, Lu Yu traveled to famous mountains and rivers in the sea to study tea, only to taste the tea mountains and springs of the world; Many places where he settled are now tea producing areas, and Jingshan is one of them.

In the small museum exhibition hall, from "Who is Lu Yu" to the calligraphy and painting related to Lu Yu's life, various exhibition techniques are used before and after, showcasing the legendary life of the tea sage Lu Yu to tourists in a simple and easy to understand manner. I particularly like the new Chinese style decoration style of the exhibition hall, which is elegant and atmospheric with texture and fashion, distinguishing it from the old museums at first glance.

After Jingshan Tea became famous in the Tang Dynasty, the tea sage Lu Yu came to admire its name and, during his seclusion in Jingshan, planted, made, and refined tea, blending tea with Zen; It can be said that without Lu Yu, there would be no current Jingshan tea culture.

Some exquisite small details inside are enough for tourists to linger for a long time.

Behind the circular window at the end of the exhibition hall on the first floor is a statue of Lu Yu dressed in Tang Dynasty clothing, holding a pen and contemplating; Perhaps a thousand years ago, he kept repeating this state day by day, until the "Tea Classic" was published in the midst of the earth shattering shock.

The second level layout is larger to introduce the origins and characteristics of tea from various parts of China; As well as the popularization and exhibition of tea sets and utensils, it can be said to be a small tea culture museum. Strolling through it, it seems as if one has returned to the scene of literati brewing tea and drinking together during the prosperous Tang Dynasty, enjoying life in a daze.

A small portion of tea related vessels were photographed, and every valley and line represents the aesthetic of ancient life.

Fashionable museums definitely cannot do without cultural and creative products. Since this place is related to tea and Lu Yu, the most distinctive cultural and creative product of Lu Yu Quan Park is naturally the tea drink - "Lu Yu brewed tea.". Tea is naturally sourced from Jingshan, and its taste is more in line with the needs of young people. Bottled or cupped tea drinks are also more convenient to carry on trips. We specially bought a cup of Tianxia Red Orange for lunch to taste, and the base is the famous Jingshan Black Tea!

The Tang Dynasty tea industry reveals secrets, with the intention of "boiling" inviting you to drink together

Stepping out of Hongjian Building, the fresh air from Jingshan was sucked into the lungs, along with the rich aroma of tea. Just a few steps away, we arrived at the other side of the world - Han Guitang. Here, the most traditional and restored Tang Dynasty tea making performance is being performed. Compared to the ordering of tea in the Song Dynasty and the brewing of tea in the Ming Dynasty, the most popular method during the Tang Dynasty was brewing tea, and Lu Yu once brewed tea for the Tang Emperor.

The two tea masters who performed for everyone on that day have sat in the tea table surrounded by landscape screens. The man is wearing a Tang round necked robe with a leather belt tied around the waist, and wears the most classic Tang men's first coat, the Fu Tou; The lady is wearing a chest length shirt and skirt with a small floral pattern, with a high bun; Their every move is pleasing to the eye, like a vivid Tang Dynasty small theater, separated from the audience in two different time and space.

When Tang people brew tea, they need to take out the pre sealed pancake tea, roast it on the fire for a while, then put it into a tea mortar or tea mill to grind it into tea powder, sieve it, and put the tea powder that meets the standards in the tea box for later use.

Tang people use a kettle to brew tea. First, fill the kettle with an appropriate amount of water, and when the water boils to its initial boiling point, add some salt; At the second boiling point, scoop out a spoonful of water and place it aside, then pour the tea powder into the water to continue boiling; When it boils three times, pour the scooped water back, which is called "stop boiling and nurture the flowers". At this point, the tea is cooked. Therefore, for Tang people drinking tea, "boiling" is the essence.

If you are interested in the Tang Dynasty tea making method, you can also participate in an experiential course at Han Guitang and follow the teacher step by step to complete it. I think coming to Luyu Tea Park is the most meaningful part. Previously, ordering tea during the Song Dynasty was also experienced at Jingshan. This time, experiencing Tang Dynasty tea brewing again is considered a complete experience!

The tea making utensils used by the teacher are also very unique. They are the "24 utensils" that were recently restored based on tea utensils unearthed from the underground palace of Famen Temple. Whether it is the wind stove, Luo box, or tea mill, the gilded flying Hong pattern silver utensils are all extremely gorgeous, telling a high profile about their past identity from the palace.

The tea brewing experience experienced by tourists is a simplified version that is easy to operate. The tea cakes do not need to be ground, and the tea powder is directly packed in small jars. There are three sets of tea cups on each person's table. The teacher said that one was cooked and tasted by oneself, and the other two cups can be invited to taste together with friends. The personality and unique tea culture of Tang people can also be seen from it.

In the Tang Dynasty, besides the complexity and elegance demonstrated by the two tea masters just now, there was another characteristic of brewing tea - after boiling three times, mint leaves and orange peel were added to the pot, and ingredients such as red dates and walnuts were placed in the cup; Take advantage of the heat and pour tea soup into a cup to drink, which is called "eating tea". This rich and layered taste is completely different from the tea culture of later dynasties.

The taste at the entrance is the unique "tea flavor" of Tang Dynasty tea brewing method; What lingers between my teeth is a dream of the magnificent and magnificent Tang Dynasty from a thousand years ago. The unparalleled glory of the Tang Dynasty lies among these bowls and bowls.

The unique "break between classes" and Han Guitang are also ideal places for shooting Hanfu!

【 Song Dynasty Tea Ordering, Exquisitely Elegant Zen Tea Flavor 】

On the second floor of Hongjian Building, there is a elegantly decorated tea room where you can learn the Song Dynasty tea ordering method of Qitang tea with the teacher, which is the same style as "Zhi Bu".

The "Dream of Liang Lu" of the Song Dynasty records: "Burning incense and lighting tea, hanging paintings and arranging flowers, doing four idle things, not tiring the home", highlighting the "four arts" of the elegant life of Song Dynasty literati, elevating daily tea drinking to an artistic level. The Song Dynasty was the golden age of tea culture, and China's tea ceremony underwent tremendous changes during the Song Dynasty, with tea ordering becoming a fashion trend.

Different from the tea making method of the Tang Dynasty, the tea ordering method is to put the tea powder in the tea bowl, inject a small amount of boiling water to make it paste, and then inject boiling water, or directly inject boiling water into the tea bowl, at the same time stir it with tea, and the tea and water blend to form Congee noodles, which tastes "sweet and delicious".

Fortunately, a child came over to learn some tea with the teacher that day. No matter how much they could learn, Luyuquan Park at least provided a window for children to experience traditional culture, which is very commendable.

Those who have experienced ordering tea know that ordering tea is definitely not as easy as it seems. Otherwise, Rulan in "Zhibu" would not complain to the lady about the difficulty of learning, and every step should not deviate: first of all, the ratio of tea powder to water is the key to a good bowl of tea. Tea powder is often as small as a pinch of nail polish, while water needs to be sufficient and must be injected in several times, with sufficient stirring each time. The hand strength, direction, and contact between the tea cup and the tea cup all require the correct posture and method, as well as patience and dedication.

Only with a delicious tea soup with a bright white color, can there be room for the play of "tea variety".
This is the tea ceremony art of the Song Dynasty. They use tea as ink and paint in the tea soup, much like the "flower pulling" formed by coffee and milk in the West, but the difficulty of tea variety is higher. Painting can only be done through tea and water, and can form delicate and picturesque soup patterns. The tool for painting is only a small tea spoon, and some can use only the spout of a soup bottle to depict small flying dragons, quiet pavilions, or a few peach blossoms.

As the saying goes in the tea meditation: "Drinking tea and practicing meditation are one taste, one path, and have the same mind." When ordering tea, it is important to maintain a state of mindfulness and concentration in order to have a good color, aroma, and taste. Diligence is often the most precious thing. Only by working with dedication can one achieve the ultimate, and tasting with dedication can one taste the true flavor from the mundane. The place where one puts their heart into life is the deepest taste.

[When Lu Yuquan comes, don't treat yourself as a modern person]

In addition to the many experiences mentioned above, Luyuquan Park also features many beloved small games from ancient times, which serve as a fun activity for tourists to enrich their itinerary and as part of an immersive park. In short, when you come to Luyuquan Park, don't treat yourself like a modern person!
Tourists who want to experience small games can collect a clearance certificate from Luyuquan Park at the ticket office at the entrance. They can experience the three small games of Flying Flower Order, Pitching Pot, and Dianhua Dian. They can also exchange a small gift with a full clearance seal!

Touhu has appeared in many costume dramas, and you can tell how much the ancients loved this little game. Tiaohu is a traditional Chinese etiquette and banquet game that continued from the pre Qin period to the end of the Qing dynasty, emphasizing strength, direction, and the skillful use of practice to make perfect. It may seem simple, but after trying more, you can't help but get the points that ancient people loved.

On that day, it was Mid Autumn Festival, so guessing lantern riddles and other ancient limited time activities were also inevitable. The custom of guessing riddles on the Mid-Autumn Festival has a long history in China, which has a history of more than 3000 years, but has been ignored by many people; In fact, the Mid Autumn Festival customs in China are not just about admiring the moon and eating mooncakes! There are so many beautiful and fun lantern riddles in Luyuquan Park, why don't you give it a try?

Flower shaped ornaments refer to ancient women's flower shaped decorations placed on their temples, eyebrows, or cheeks. In the Tang Dynasty, besides being round, flower and mother-in-law also had various complex shapes. Therefore, wearing Tang style Hanfu and painting a "flower and pearl makeup" on the eyebrows can better restore the makeup of ancient times!

The production of flower lanterns at night fully showcases the charm of the Mid Autumn Festival in ancient times, and seems to be the final project of the Mid Autumn Festival ancient style garden party. Through my own exploration and research, I DIY a pile of scattered raw materials into exquisite and gorgeous lanterns with different shapes; Compared to watching the Mid Autumn Festival Gala, this kind of Mid Autumn Festival night is more fulfilling!

Although it may seem simple, it took us a lot of effort to transform the lantern into its rightful shape under the dim lights at night. After completion, I suddenly felt that my hands-on ability had also improved.

Many girls hold freshly finished lanterns and come to the pond to light them for blessings. On the surface of the water, the flower lamps and lanterns are faintly visible, and the moonlight is hazy; Ancient life was both simple and simple, yet lively and extraordinary, and today people are also immersed in it.

Tonight, the moon shines brightly, and I wonder whose house autumn thoughts have fallen

During the day, Lu Yuquan was serene and fresh. At night, the lanterns were lit one after another, creating a different scene. After being haloed and dyed by landscape lights, the eaves and corners of the flying eaves exude the exquisite and beautiful beauty of the garden everywhere.

The night scene design in Luyuquan Park can be said to be the finishing touch of the entire garden, giving people a fantastic and beautiful visual feast, becoming a splendid scenery under the night sky, and also the most vivid moment of our day's park visit.

I was fortunate enough to encounter Luyuquan Park on the night of the Mid Autumn Festival, adding a touch of festive excitement and joy to the usually elegant and pleasant tea culture theme park. Everyone has been an "ancient person" for a whole day, dressed in flowing Hanfu, enjoying tea and gardens, praying for blessings and admiring the moon, all of which are rare experiences. The tea culture that has been passed down for thousands of years has also been revived in the prosperous Tang Dynasty atmosphere of Luyuquan Park, with a long-lasting fragrance.
