Impression of Xiaoshan

For Hangzhou, in our impression, it is the water charm represented by West Lake, and it seems that other scenery is overshadowed in front of West Lake. In fact, for locals in Hangzhou, West Lake is a natural attraction that they have, and every aspect of their lives is related to it. West Lake has always existed in their lives, so it is not considered a scenic spot for them. For people in Hangzhou, they often choose to travel to nearby places on weekends or holidays, leaving West Lake for tourists from other places to appreciate. They are more willing to take their families on vacation to Xiaoshan during holidays, enjoy slow paced travel, and give their children a relaxed and comfortable vacation.

Hunan Lake, known as the "sister lake" of West Lake in Hangzhou, boasts lush mountains and clear waters, tranquil and gentle atmosphere, vast misty waves, and tranquil and distant scenery. The Eight Scenic Spots of Xianghu Lake include a nostalgic view of the city's mountains, a panoramic view of the pavilion, the morning light shining first, the night moon crossing the lake, the sound of Yang Qi's bells, the boat singing in the Hengtang Lake, the cloud shadows in the center of the lake, the smoke from the kiln at the foot of the mountain, the morning glow setting sun, the starry sky with a crescent moon, the vast mountains and lakes, and the lush green forests.

8000 year old ancient boat, 30000 hectares of blue waves. Xiaoshan, with a profound historical and cultural heritage, is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. The world's earliest canoe has been unearthed here, pushing the prehistoric history of Zhejiang civilization back eight thousand years.

Xiaoshan not only houses the rich natural and cultural landscapes on the south bank of the Qiantang River, but also nurtures the Xiaoshan culture of embracing all rivers and standing at the forefront of the tide, guarding the ever-changing fields of the tides. Xiaoshan is a gathering place for foodies, urban explorers, boutique collectors, cultural enthusiasts, and carnival enthusiasts. Traveling from south to north, like-minded tourists create new experiences here every day. This is Xiaoshan.

Sister Lake of West Lake · Xianghu Lake

As the saying goes, "Heaven above, Suzhou and Hangzhou below." When it comes to Hangzhou, the first thing people think of is the West Lake, which is always suitable for light and heavy makeup. The broken bridge and snow, as well as the thunderous peak at sunset, have attracted countless tourists who are reluctant to leave; The Qiantang River Tide, known as the "Number One Tide in the World", is a natural wonder that attracts countless onlookers for a view of the river. It is characterized by its towering mountains and seas, swallowing the fertile sun. However, there is another scenic spot that forms the Golden Triangle of Hangzhou's tourism scenery, along with West Lake and Qiantang River. It is peaceful and beautiful, hidden in the depths of the boudoir that no one knows. It is Xiang Lake, known as the "sister lake" of West Lake in Hangzhou for its "beautiful water and ten mile scenery".

Xianghu Lake is located in the west of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, 20 kilometers away from the city center. Xianghu Tourist Resort is one of the first national level tourist resorts with a total planned area of 35 square kilometers. It boasts beautiful natural scenery, profound historical accumulation, and rich cultural landscapes. Along with West Lake and Qiantang River, it forms the Golden Triangle of Hangzhou's tourist scenery. It is a national AAAA level scenic spot, one of China's top 100 tourist attractions, and a destination for leisure tourism in China.

On both sides of the strait, there are beautiful mountains and green peaks, and a vast expanse of new water and green Luo Pu. If West Lake is a famous lady of the world, then Xianghu Lake is a small family jade in a deep courtyard. The natural ecology of Xianghu Lake is surrounded by mountains, with water and sky in one color, pavilions and towers, ancient and fragrant, showcasing the gentle and delicate beauty of the Jiangnan water town to the fullest. In late autumn, Xianghu Lake is shrouded in vast mist and tranquility. The water spruce path around the lake, stained with layers of forest, the Huizhou style horse head wall arranged in rows, the unique Xianghu scenic bridge, the colorful ginkgo leaves falling, and the lush green mountains dripping. Amidst it, there are eight scenic spots of Xianghu Lake, with the city mountains reminiscing about the past, the pavilion overlooking the distance, the morning light shining first, the night moon crossing the lake, the sound of Yang Qi's bell, the boat song in the horizontal pond, the cloud shadows in the center of the lake, the smoke from the kiln at the foot of the mountain, the morning glow and sunset, the crescent moon and starry sky, the vast mountains and lakes, and the verdant forests. Everything is full of autumn charm, and everything is breathtaking.

8000 year old ancient boat, 30000 hectares of blue waves. Xianghu Lake, with a profound historical and cultural heritage, is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. The world's earliest canoe has been unearthed here, pushing the prehistoric history of Zhejiang civilization back eight thousand years. National level cultural relics protection units, the Cross Lake Bridge Cultural Site, and the Xiasun Site have been excavated here. It is the earliest Neolithic site discovered in the southeastern coastal areas of China, 1000 years earlier than the famous Hemudu Cultural Site.

The Yuewang City Site, located at the top of Xianghu City Mountain, has a history of over 2500 years. It is currently the most complete castle site discovered and preserved during the late Spring and Autumn period for the Yue state to defend against enemies, witnessing the historical trend of "lying on firewood and tasting courage". Xianghu Lake is still the hometown of the great poet He Zhizhang of the Tang Dynasty. Yang Shi, who was known as "Chengmen Lixue," Wei Ji, who participated in the compilation of the "Yongle Encyclopedia," and Zhu Yun, who suggested that Qianlong compile the "Complete Library of the Four Treasuries," were all famous figures in Xianghu Lake. Great poets such as Li Bai, Lu You, and Wen Tianxiang also left immortal poems and writings here.

The Xianghu Scenic Area is a large and competitive leisure tourism resort in the Yangtze River Delta, based on the historical and cultural Xianghu Lake, natural ecological Xianghu Lake, and leisure vacation Xianghu Lake, relying on Hangzhou International Scenic Tourism City. Hangzhou Changqiao Polar Ocean Park is a large-scale polar ocean park that adopts the world's most advanced theme park design, construction concepts and methods, integrating polar animal display and polar landscape experience. More than ten exhibition venues and leisure experience areas, including "Polar Kingdom," "Rainforest Wonders," "Underwater Tunnel," and "Whale and Dolphin Theater," showcase rare polar marine animals from around the world to visitors, taking them on a magical journey of intimate contact with ocean spirits.

The Cross Lake Bridge Site Museum and Xiasun Cultural Village take you through time and space, experiencing the world's best, experiencing the splendid Chinese culture of 8000 years ago, and experiencing the splendid Chinese civilization. Lotus Villa, with its pavilions, towers, and pavilions, is quaint and elegant. The winding waves lie on the long embankment, and the withered lotus canopy sways in the wind. Looking around, what feels the most at this moment seems to be not the bleakness and desolation of late autumn, but the tenacity and hope of life.

Not knowing Xianghu Lake, not understanding the true flavor of Hangzhou. The famous literary and historical figure of the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Dai, once said, "Xianghu Lake is like a virgin, with shy management, even before seeing her unmarried.". Xianghu Lake is not as well-known overseas as West Lake, nor is it as magnificent as the Qiantang River. It is gentle and introverted, but not inferior to others. As you wander around Xianghu Lake, you can easily see the scenery. With a beautiful lake and ten mile scenery, Xianghu Lake is truly worthy of its reputation.

The earliest canoe in the world, the Cross Lake Bridge Site Museum

The most intuitive way to quickly and comprehensively understand the history of a city while traveling is to visit local museums, as museums are places for collecting, preserving, displaying, and researching physical objects representing natural and human cultural heritage. Boating on Xianghu Lake not only allows you to appreciate its beautiful natural scenery, but also its profound historical and cultural heritage, which is worth studying and savoring. The Cross Lake Bridge Site Museum is the best place to learn about this long history.

The Cross Lake Bridge Site Museum is located in the scenic Xiaoshan Xianghu Tourist Resort in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is a thematic museum that comprehensively reflects the archaeological excavation and research results of the Cross Lake Bridge Site. Unlike many museums, the Cross Lake Bridge Site Museum is a thematic museum built on the discovery of the world's earliest canoe site, in order to better protect and study human history and civilization.

The Cross Lake Bridge site unearthed the world's earliest canoe. In order to not disappoint this cultural heritage of 18000 years, the museum was built on the spot by adopting the method of original site protection. Taking inspiration from this, the entire building is shaped like a boat, and from flat to three-dimensional, it is organized in the shape of a "boat". This is also the only specialized museum in Zhejiang Province and even China with a "boat" shape, which fully reflects the essence of Cross Lake Bridge culture - the interaction between humans and nature. The exterior walls of the museum are made of rusty materials, and the internal exhibition area consists of a "Looking Back on 8000 Years" themed exhibition and a site protection hall, fully showcasing the weight and vicissitudes of 8000 years of culture.

Entering the site area on the basement floor of the Cross Lake Bridge Site Museum, directly below the five characters "Eight Thousand Years of Xiaoshan", there is a glass room with constant temperature and humidity, which preserves the "World's First Boat" Cross Lake Bridge Canoe and related relics. This surviving canoe is 5.6 meters long, 0.53 meters wide, and 2.5-3 centimeters thick. It was excavated from a whole Masson pine and placed on the shore of a lake at that time, with a large number of wooden components and possibly tools used for processing and repairing the canoe. The canoe was made using the fire burning method, and some burnt marks are clearly visible on the body of the canoe.

As soon as you step into the Cross Lake Bridge Site Museum, the atmosphere of 8000 years of history fills your face. The exhibition hall showcases several of the "earliest" cross lake bridges, including the world's earliest canoe, the world's earliest painted bow, China's earliest "herbal jar", China's earliest slow wheel pottery making technology, China's earliest steamer, China's earliest horizontal weaving machine, the earliest mat shaped woven fabric in the Jiangnan region, the earliest colored pottery in South China, the earliest domestic pig in South China, and the earliest cultivated rice in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is surprising that the low-key Xiaoshan Xianghu has such a confident and glorious history.

After three archaeological excavations in 1990, 2001, and 2002, a large number of specimens of bone, pottery, wood, stone, and animal and plant remains were unearthed. According to carbon-14 dating data, they are all 8000 to 7000 years ago. A series of archaeological discoveries, including light canoes, exquisite pottery, advanced wooden mortise and tenon techniques, and domestication and cultivation of animals and plants, have confirmed that the earliest Neolithic culture in Zhejiang Province was distributed in the mountainous areas of central Zhejiang. The cross lake bridge culture was an early branch of the development of mountain culture to plain culture. The hardworking and intelligent ancient cross lake bridge people created a prehistoric civilization with regional characteristics in the livable estuary area between 8000 and 7000 years ago.

The discovery of the Cross Lake Bridge Site is another major archaeological discovery in the Neolithic period in Zhejiang Province, following the Hemudu Site and Liangzhu Site. It is the earliest Neolithic site discovered in the southeastern coastal area of China, 1000 years earlier than the famous Hemudu Cultural Site. It breaks the prehistoric cultural pattern originally recognized in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, proves that the civilization history of Zhejiang is composed of multiple lineages, and extends the prehistoric history of Zhejiang to 8000 years, providing important clues for the study of the culture of the entire Yangtze River Basin. It has significant cultural value and played a milestone role in the prehistoric archaeological history of Zhejiang.

The largest aerial garden in China, Hangzhou International Expo Center

What comes to mind when mentioning Hangzhou? Is it the picturesque West Lake with smoke and willows? Is it a city full of urban charm from the Song Dynasty? Is it the millennium old temple Lingyin Temple? Whether it's West Lake, Songcheng, or Lingyin Temple, they are all prominent business cards of Hangzhou. In recent years, when it comes to Hangzhou, most people have thought of the G20 summit for the first time. It has been three years since the G20 summit, and recently, I finally had the privilege of seeing the main venue of the G20 Hangzhou summit at that time, which is now the Hangzhou International Expo Center.

Although it has been three years since the G20 summit, when we enter the main venue of the G20 at the Hangzhou International Expo Center, we still have a feeling of seeing the grandeur of the G20 summit at that time. The overall appearance of the venue looks very grand, consisting of 5 floors above ground and 2 floors underground. The interior decoration is grand and elegant, yet not lacking the elegant elements of Jiangnan. Every small detail is just right.

The Hangzhou International Expo Center is located by the Qiantang River, on the south bank of the Qiantang River and east of the Qianjiang Third Bridge in Xiaoshan District, Qianjiang Century City. On September 4th and 5th, 2016, the Hangzhou International Expo Center made its debut as the main venue for the G20 Hangzhou Summit. The total construction area of Hangzhou International Expo Center is 850000 square meters, with an exhibition center area of 90000 square meters and a total of 10 exhibition halls, each ranging from 7700 square meters to 10000 square meters. This is a major initiative for Hangzhou to gradually move from the "West Lake era" to the "Qiantang River era".

The G20 Experience Hall includes a welcoming area, a conference area, a luncheon hall, and an aerial garden, with a total area of about 2000 square meters. The luncheon hall is a spherical building with a dome resembling a starry sky. The central and outer rings combine natural skylight with landscape paintings, and each small detail is delicate and unique.

On the top floor of the Expo Center is currently the most popular spot for tourists to check in - the Hanging Garden. When following the tour guide signs to the top floor, there is a Jiangnan style rockery, flowing water, and green plants at the entrance. In an instant, from an exhibition hall rich in technological elements, one can come to Suzhou Garden, which embodies the graceful and elegant elements of Jiangnan. The Hanging Garden is located on the outskirts of the luncheon hall, with the Pearl of West Lake descending from the sky, dragons and phoenixes dancing to Qiantang. The Hanging Garden is not only full of Jiangnan elements as a whole, but also integrates the ten scenic spots of West Lake. It is the largest, most comprehensive, with the strongest Chinese characteristics, and the best ecological environment rooftop garden in China.

The Hangzhou International Expo Center does not lose its original function to other conference centers after the conference, but continues to play a preheating role. In the past three years of G20 Summit, Hangzhou International Expo Center has successively held many different conferences and exhibitions at home and abroad, from online shopping platform creation festival to China International Tea Expo, from the World Zhejiang Merchants Conference to the Xiaoshan People's Conference, from the World Medical Information Conference conforming to ICCA standards to the International Forging Conference, from international association conferences to China's "Internet plus" Digital Economy Summit and other top enterprise conferences. Today's Hangzhou International Expo is a complex integrating Internet, conference, art, catering, hotel, music and other diversified formats.

Since 2016, the Hangzhou International Expo Center has been constantly changing. With the highest standards, fastest speed, most practical style, and best results, it showcases the style of a great country, the characteristics of Jiangnan, and the elements of Hangzhou. It is also an important turning point for Hangzhou to gradually move from the "West Lake era" to the "Qiantang River era". In September 2017, Hangzhou became the most popular city for large-scale academic conferences after Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Among the top ten preferred conference centers for large-scale academic conferences, the Hangzhou International Expo Center ranked first.

Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage - Xu Tongtai Sauce Garden Site

Compared with the world-renowned "lady of a wealthy family" West Lake, the "little jade" hidden in the deep boudoir may seem desolate and lonely, but her tranquility, gentleness, and delicacy still make those who like her intoxicated and linger. In today's increasingly competitive market economy, the Zhejiang time-honored brand Xu Tongtai, born not far from the picturesque Xiaoshan Xianghu Scenic Area in Hangzhou and with a history of over 140 years, is like Xianghu. Although its reputation is not as good as before, its profound historical and cultural heritage, adherence to traditional handicrafts, and strict pursuit of quality are important components of the intangible cultural heritage of Heshang Town in the southern part of Xiaoshan. It is the most proud historical and cultural business card of Heshang Ancient Town.

Entering the old site of Xu Tongtai Sauce Garden, with its sturdy stone wall doors, quaint houses, signature large sauce jars, and black counters... Immersed in the aroma of sauce, the new Xu Tongtai still struggles to conceal its vicissitudes, silently recounting its past, emitting a rich sediment that cannot be replicated by a century old family.

Soy sauce is familiar to every one of us. It is a necessity in our daily lives, and many delicious dishes cannot be separated from it. As the saying goes, making delicious food is like being a person. You must use real ingredients and select the best ones. In fact, food is like this, and the ingredients used to make food are even more so. Xu Tongtai, a time-honored soy sauce brand founded in the third year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty in 1877, with a history of over 140 years, is extremely meticulous in its selection of raw materials. It only uses non genetically modified soybeans from Northeast China and new wheat produced that year, without the need for aging grains every other year. The water used for making soy sauce is a deep century old well in Heshang Town, with a clear and sweet water quality that is inexhaustible.

The traditional manual brewing technology has complex process and long cycle. Grain fermentation is totally dependent on natural conditions. It can be said that it gathers the spirit of heaven and earth, receives the essence of the sun and the moon, and takes a long time to finally produce Xu Tongtai soy sauce with three characteristics of "simple color, rich soy sauce flavor, and delicious taste". It is said that "the flavor of soy sauce is fragrant, and it will last a hundred years and a hundred miles". It is said that at the end of every year, people in Zhuji, Fuyang, Tonglu, Yiwu and other places carried oil bottles and kettles to buy Xu Tongtai soy sauce, and the team was up to 12 kilometers long.

In 1875, Xu Sanchun and his wife from Fuyang came to Heshang Town. As Heshang Town was adjacent to the Qiantang River and located at the junction of Xiaoshan, Zhuji, and Fuyang, the scenery was beautiful, with a gathering of merchants and simple people. The couple was attracted by this bustling scene. The shrewd Xu Sanchun discovered that although there were many shops here, there was actually no soy sauce shop. So the couple decided to stay in Heshang Town and started a small business selling soy sauce. Due to their honesty, genuine value, and good reputation towards others, the couple's business has become increasingly prosperous. In 1877, Xu Sanchun and his wife opened their own soy sauce workshop, with front shops and back shops, producing and selling their own products, marking the beginning of the century old brand's founding journey.

In 1886, Xu Sanchun began building a soy sauce garden and named it "Tongtai". After several generations of arduous entrepreneurship by the Xu family, as well as cooperation with rice shops, trough households, and other businesses, Xu Tongtai Sauce Factory gradually accumulated sufficient working capital. By the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it acquired Fulin Heji Sauce Store, built five workshops for wine, milk, sauce, brewing, and grinding, four wells and seven cows, and more than 50 employees. In 1914, Xu Sanchun exchanged 500 stones of high-quality rice for the "Official Sauce Garden" plaque, numbered 196, issued by the Salt Transportation Bureau of the Two Zhejiang Provinces. This plaque has been preserved to this day and has become one of the few historical witnesses that has been preserved.

In 1915, the second generation descendant of Xu Tongtai opened a restaurant called "Taste King's Mansion" by the Qiantang River. The restaurant was designed and constructed by renowned craftsmen, luxurious and grand, specializing in northern and southern cuisines. With the signature feature of "only using official sauce to moisten the taste", it attracted celebrities and businessmen from all walks of life in Hangzhou to visit and taste it. In between, Xu Tongtai became a great gift for family and friends, invisibly expanding Xu Tongtai's influence. "Qiantang Xu Tongtai, West Lake Louwailou" has been passed down since then.

Xu Tongtai's soy sauce industry covers everything from condiments to Pickled vegetables to restaurants. Its products are sold to Malaysia, Singapore, the United States and other places. At the beginning of the last century, it once kept pace with the medicine shop "Hu Qingyutang", which was founded by Hongding businessman Hu Xueyan. There is a folk saying: "Ask Hu Qingyutang for medicine to moisten Xu Tongtai".

Walking out of the old site of Xu Tongtai Sauce Garden, the gradually blurred and sturdy stone wall doors, quaint houses, signature large sauce jars, and black counters, but the rich and mellow soy sauce still wafts in the air... Here, what I understand is not only that the time-honored Xu Tongtai has maintained traditional brewing techniques in its historical development process, but also its adherence to ancient manual brewing techniques, which has made it selected as the "Third Batch of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Hangzhou City".

Source of Chinese Porcelain: Zhejiang Modern Ceramic Art Museum, Zhejiang Province

China is the hometown of porcelain, and in English, "porcelain" is the same term as "China". Porcelain is an important creation of the ancient working people of the Chinese nation and a treasure showcased in Chinese civilization. As the saying goes, "half of China's ceramic history lies in Zhejiang.". With eight thousand years of cross lake bridge civilization, as the birthplace of China's earliest slow wheel pottery, painted pottery, and fired "primitive porcelain", the peaceful, beautiful, and gentle Xianghu Lake in Hangzhou, with its unique advantages in ceramic culture, has always actively promoted the development of ceramic cultural and creative industries.

The Zhejiang Modern Ceramic Art Museum, built in 2016, is the first provincial-level ceramic museum in Zhejiang Province. It is located on the Meishan Road Xianghu Ceramic Art Island in the second phase of Xianghu Tourist Resort in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City. The upper layer of the island is covered with emerald hills and sparkling blue waves, and the shadows of kilns and bridges complement each other. There are numerous historical sites, most of which are well preserved, creating a unique artistic environment to comprehensively reflect the history and technological achievements of ceramic production and firing in the Xianghu region at different times.

The former site of the museum is a large brick kiln factory built in the 1860s. Its main building was renovated from the brick kiln factory, incorporating contemporary design concepts, with a building area of approximately 1400 square meters. Among them, there are three ancient kiln sites on the island: among them, there are ten late Qing ancient kilns located at the main entrance, which have a history of more than 100 years to this day; There are also two other locations, one is the Ten Ancient Kilns of the Late Qing Dynasty in the water, and the interior of the building is a large brick kiln from the early Republic of China. The museum did not rush to flatten these brick kilns, but instead repaired and rebuilt the original site into the first provincial-level ceramic museum in Zhejiang Province today. Walking into the museum feels like walking into an ancient kiln factory more than 100 years ago, where hardworking workers focus on firing the kilns.

As of now, the museum has a collection of over 350 valuable ceramic art pieces, which are diverse in variety and variety. Most of them are painted ceramic artworks by modern ceramic art masters and Chinese arts and crafts masters, including blue and white, underglaze red, new color, ancient color, etc. These art treasures vividly interpret the different shapes, glaze surfaces, and craftsmanship characteristics of modern Chinese ceramics.

The museum has 5 ceramic exhibition halls, among which exhibition halls 1, 2, and 4 are the collection halls, mainly collecting ceramic painting works of masters of arts and crafts, professors, etc. Exhibition halls 3 and 5 are individual exhibition halls of contracted artists, showcasing their unique ceramic art works. In addition to the exhibition hall, the museum also has art galleries, artist studios, academic lecture halls, cultural and creative life halls, tourist reception centers, etc., and carries out various art exhibitions, research, experiences, public education and other activities. In order to better promote the exchange of ceramic culture and spread traditional Chinese culture, the entire museum is open to tourists free of charge and does not charge admission fees.

In addition, around the Modern Ceramic Art Museum, there is a 300 square meter experience hall - Xianghu Ceramic Art Island Ceramic Experience Hall. The venue has complete facilities and equipment, which can meet the different needs of various ceramic enthusiasts. Visitors can not only appreciate ceramic works, but also personally experience the production of ceramics. In addition, there is also a coffee shop inside the museum, which meets the needs of tourists, ceramic enthusiasts, and others for rest, office, and meetings.

World ceramics originate from China, and Chinese porcelain originates from Zhejiang. On the land of Xianghu Lake in China, which has a long history of pottery making, there are many pottery artifacts found in the 8000 year old Cross Lake Bridge Cultural Site excavated here. In the Ming Dynasty, some people dug clay from Xianghu Lake and set up kilns to make bricks and tiles. At that time, bricks and tiles were already a well-known commodity in Xianghu Lake. Based on such a long and profound history of ceramics, Zhejiang Modern Ceramic Art Museum, following the development of the great strategic thought of the "the Belt and Road", promotes the cultural exchange of ceramics in Hangzhou and even the world through collection, protection and research, carries forward the regional advantages of the long history of Xianghu ceramic culture, spreads and carries forward the charm of Chinese ceramic culture, and then becomes a new highland of Chinese and foreign ceramic art exchange and a new landmark of Hangzhou culture.

When traveling to Hangzhou, if you choose a hotel, in the minds of most people, there is no shortage of international chain star rated hotels, and there are countless well-known domestic hotels standing in every corner of the city center. In fact, in Hangzhou, there is another homestay hidden in the mountains and forests, renovated from an ancient house with a history of over 100 years, which is rarely known as the Seabird Heaven and Earth homestay. The area where the ancient courtyard has been renovated here is 1500 square meters, hidden among the mountains and forests, with authentic vegetable fields, endless bamboo seas, and orchards that produce different fruits all year round, covering a total area of about 62 acres. This is exactly what we hope to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, return to the simplicity of our hearts, and find a good place to return to the garden and live.

For staying in a homestay, one requirement is that it needs to have its own exclusive environment. The Seabird World is in line with this characteristic, which is why I set my destination for this trip here. When we arrived at the entrance of the homestay, we were deeply moved by the entire bamboo forest. There was a small path between the bamboo forests that led directly to the homestay. It was in response to a poem: "A winding path leads to a secluded place, and the meditation room has deep flowers and trees."!

If I hadn't booked this place before, but accidentally arrived here on the way, I wouldn't have believed that I was walking into a homestay, but rather believed that I was walking into an ancient building with a long history. The ancient courtyard, hidden deep in the bamboo forest, has a history of more than 100 years. The entire ancient courtyard still retains its original appearance and has been repaired based on it, preserving its original ancient charm.

Outside the homestay, the babbling stream flows around the wall, embraced by the lush bamboo forest, and the sown flowers sway with the fragrance of flowers in different seasons. Entering the homestay, the horse head wall with typical Huizhou architectural features catches the eye. The simple and solemn hall gives a retro visual experience. From the wooden bed to the Zen inspired tea room, it is an excellent place to rest and recuperate.

We often overlook some details of life. However, the Xiaoshan Seabird World Homestay did not overlook the details, and every detail was handled perfectly. The ancient architecture exudes a sense of antiquity and simplicity, with every piece of decoration in the room carefully selected from old objects, vintage yellow carts, old newspapers from the Republic of China era, ink and wash landscape calligraphy and painting, tea art, porcelain, and flower arrangements placed perfectly in their designated locations.

This old house is mostly made of wooden structure. In order to better protect this old house, more rooms have not been excessively opened. According to the renovation situation, the renovated residential building will only have 12 guest rooms, so there are not many rooms here. Family duplex suites, standard rooms (king size rooms) with 8 duplex rooms and 4 duplex luxury suites, can also meet the travel needs of different families.

The Jiangnan old house with white walls and black tiles hidden between the mountains and forests, with its wooden structure and highly retro Chinese layout, exudes an antique charm everywhere. In the morning, what wakes me up is not the noisy and helpless alarm bells, but the clear and pleasant bird calls; At noon, freshly picked vegetables and fruits from the garden are the most sumptuous taste of lunch; As night falls, vast stars adorn the night sky. The most romantic thing is to make a lifelong promise with your loved one under this starry sea.
