The Yan Ziling Fishing Platform is located on the mountainside of Fuchun Mountain, which is known as "Qingli Qijue, Jinfeng Xiuling". The section of the river facing the Diaoyutai is also known as "Qililang", "Qilitan", or "Qilisei".
In Li Bai's poem, he once described this as "Amidst the blue clouds of the fishing platform, Miao faces Cangshan.". The one on the right is called Dongtai, while the one on the left is called Xitai, so this scene is also called "Shuangtai Fishing".

2000 years ago, Yan Ziling, a high-ranking scholar of the Eastern Han Dynasty, came to the bank of the Fuchun River in Tonglu, where he was deeply moved by the unique mountains and waters. So, he decided to give up his high official position and rich salary, retire here, and end his life in Linquan. His old classmate Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of Han, was called up several times but remained unmoved. Yan Ziling's high character and integrity made him a pioneer of Chinese reclusive culture. The unique landscape and profound cultural heritage of Yan Ziling's fishing platform have attracted countless dignitaries and literati to come and admire. From the Southern and Northern Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty, more than a thousand literati and scholars visited here, leaving behind more than 3000 excellent poems and writings.

For Tonglu, which has entered late autumn, there are still some fallen leaves, but the speed of falling leaves cannot keep up with the speed of light sweeping. So, under my feet was the red runway.
However, fortunately, the water of the Fuchun River remains unchanged.
In the morning or afternoon, running and breathing fresh air here is also a rare leisure place between cities.

|? Maling Ancient Road

The Maling Ancient Road starts from Malingjiao Village, Yuzhai Township, Pujiang County, and runs all the way to Luci Port in Tonglu. It winds through the steep mountains at the junction of Pujiang, Jiande, and Tonglu, with a total length of over 20 kilometers. This is an ancient road paved with bluestone slabs, with a width of about 1.2 meters. From the entrance of the Maling Tunnel, winding up the mountain, you can't see the end at a glance.

Ma Ling is named because the undulating mountains in the sky resemble horses, with horse heads located on the boundary of the Pujiang River and horse bodies and tails under the jurisdiction of Jiande.

The road that cut across the mountainside in the 1970s cut the ancient road into several sections. The advantage of the ancient road lies in the fact that even cars are gasping for breath as they spiral along the mountain terrain. After the tunnel was opened in 2008, the ancient road was finally abandoned. In recent years, with the development of Maling Ancient Village and the rise of outdoor sports, Maling Ancient Road has come back to life.
And this one I am in is just a small part of it. The repaired ancient road has been much easier to walk.

The section from Malingjiao Village to Jiande Zizhou Village is called the "Zima Ancient Road", which is about 5 kilometers long and was a shortcut connecting Jinhua Prefecture and Yanzhou Prefecture in ancient times. From Yanzhou to Wuzhou, or from Wuzhou to Huizhou, passing merchants and newly appointed officials of the state government all walk through this ancient post road paved with neat bluestone slabs. The specific era of the opening of this ancient road is unknown, but according to historical records, the leader of the peasant uprising in the late Northern Song Dynasty, Fang La, attacked Jinhua through this ancient road. There are still checkpoints on the ancient road, also known as "General's Cave", which is the site of the former outpost.

The travel route for hikers: Yifeng Jiuya is located in the northwest of the Pujiang River, bordering Jiande and Tonglu cities. A route that combines wonder, beauty, seclusion, wildness, and danger, with eight steps and one scenery, and ten steps and one sky. Those familiar with the beauty peak in the past know that this woman like stone is called Wangfu Stone when looking up at her husband's early return. Generally, people can climb up the mountain from the side of a road with an altitude of over 630 meters, and in less than 30 minutes, they can personally visit the beauty peak. And this time, the high-speed train took more than three hours from Jinan to Tonglu, just for the gentle breeze between the countryside.

This season's Tonglu is a reflection of late autumn, with the colors in the mountains beginning to be rich and the smoke from the houses below rising. In Qinglongwu, Tonglu, several old houses in the countryside have undergone a transformation and become a bookstore called "Yanjiyou".

The car was parked outside the glass window of the bookstore, but I was attracted by the solid earth wall behind it. The mottled marks can also show the overlapping feeling between the old wall and the new wall; The scattered small windows above, shining with light or surrounded by wooden boards; The faded red characters on the wall... Their presence instantly evokes a sense of time in this house, and preserving the past is the greatest respect and continuation of life.

As I walked into Yan Jiyou, I could smell the faint scent of time. Rows and rows of bookshelves stacked against the wall burst into your sight, enveloped in books and filled with a sudden sense of happiness, making you feel a bit dazed. It seems that such a scene has appeared in a dream before. The mottled earthen walls, wooden bookshelves, and orange lights, as if embracing ripe fruits and melons from late autumn, close your eyes and take a deep breath, all exude a charming taste.

The Yan Ji of Qinglongwu in Tonglu was originally several hundred year old houses owned by the village chief, covering an area of about 300 square meters, neither large nor small. Therefore, I call it a bookstore rather than a building.

Sitting under the morning glass window in the sunlight, warm and peaceful. Touching the rammed earth wall that has been preserved, the wooden beams and stones of the past are still clearly visible. The cracks and cracks are the best witnesses of the past. I face it face to face, like talking to an old man with white hair, and in an instant, it blends into the past of Qinglongwu. Looking out the window at the silent mountain, my thoughts have already run far with the wind on the clouds. The words between the countryside have given me an inexplicable and comfortable sense of belonging.

With several layers of words, there is a curved sunken space under the glass window that leads to the ceiling. Friends can sit around to read, chat, or quietly bask in the sunlight. Due to the limited height of the house, the design of the entire bookstore adopts a staggered form, divided into four floors of space. The sinking design of the first floor makes the height of each floor reasonable, and it also has its own independent and private space, independent but not separated.

The elevated floor is a public activity space open to everyone, immersed in 25000 books, and a cup of coffee is a wonderful time.

The 2-4 floors of the bookstore are in the middle of the building, creating a first attempt at a book in China; The capsule hotel with the Bed concept has 20 capsule rooms hidden under rows of books, which are private and interesting.
And these 20 capsule rooms are divided into two parts, "Youth" and "Flower", corresponding to the Boys' Building and Girls' Building respectively. They are independent spaces, connected by a hanging net in the middle, which perfectly resembles the feelings of the boys and girls during their time, unclear yet unable to break.

Each capsule room has its own unique name, and this name comes from their own book. Every word and sentence in the book is the soul of this room, which can comfort the hearts of men and women staying in this room.

On this year's Qingming Festival, the watchtower from Hong Kong architect Lin Junhan began a new vitality in Qinglongwu.

Tracing back to its roots, this lookout tower was originally an abandoned house in Zhaotong County, Yunnan Province. With the help of local craftsmanship, wooden components from the old house were removed and redesigned into a lookout tower to celebrate the Chinese New Year. It was installed in a public square in the village. After its completion, it was welcomed by the local villagers, and some of their weddings were also held here, becoming a public place for communication among the villagers in this village.
In this way, a traditional old house is constantly transformed to give it new vitality.

And this building was later demolished and transported to Venice for installation as a seminar venue. The theme of the 16th Venice International Architecture Biennale China Pavilion is "Our Countryside". China's countryside is an open and diverse field with various possibilities and opportunities. This individual's art museum is perfectly integrated with the Liuyun Corridor and the village on top of the "Liuyun Corridor", but its white space on the second floor exists independently.
From a distance, it still looks very special.

Looking down from the stairs, the first floor space is minimalist. The floor to ceiling windows give the space a sense of beauty in light and shadow.

On an afternoon in Tonglu, I went to Shishe Village.
Shishe Village, located in the southeast of Fuchunjiang Town, Tonglu County, is an ancient village surrounded by mountains on all sides and water on three sides. It has a history of over 400 years.
And this Shishe Village is actually due to the inconvenience of transportation, which allowed us later generations to understand and respect those old houses.
Shishe Village is named Shishe because of its abundant and distinctive stones. In the early years, villagers lived in houses built with stones, along with mountains and water. In front of the village, there is a crescent shaped winding Luci Creek passing by, with a slightly sloping terrain. The entire mountain village is shaped like a sailboat, giving it a unique flavor.

It only takes over 20 minutes by car from Qinglongwu to reach.
Entering Shishe Village, I looked at the old walls that had peeled off some of their skin, which was completely different from the loess walls of the old houses in Qinglongwu Village.
A house was surrounded by blocks of stone, and upon entering the house, I suddenly felt many similarities with Huizhou architecture: wooden beams with carved beams and painted columns, not very exquisite wooden carvings, and a courtyard in the middle

There are a number of ancient buildings built during the Ming and Qing dynasties in the village, such as Jingyi Hall, Cunren Hall, Houzai Hall, Fang Donghui Residence, Fang Lunwei Residence, Fang Mingjun Residence, etc. It's still worth taking a look at. The preservation of the old buildings is quite good, and there's no need for tickets.

We chose to have lunch in Shishe Village, which is called Rice Sieve Climbing.
This rice sieve crawls by cutting the dough into small pieces and pressing them with force on a bamboo sieve to form strips of noodles. It is then paired with local stalagmites, small vegetables, and salted meat pieces, and the soup is ready to boil. It's delicious. If you go to Shishe Village, don't miss out on this delicious dish. As a northerner, I recommend it all.

Strolling in Shishe Village, I suddenly saw a young child being "locked" in a wooden bucket. I thought it was because the adults in this family were busy and couldn't spare any time to see the child who still couldn't leave... Although it was Oyster Festival, I was a bit scared when I first saw it. When asked about the aunt who makes rice sieves, she said that children here grew up like this when they were young.

There is a "Yan Ji You" bookstore in Qinglongwu, and connected to it is a village called "Liuyun".
Not far from the Fuchun River, in a secluded valley and a century old rammed earth ancient village, Liuyun Township villas grow on terraced fields with scattered sunlight and rain.
The car drove from Tonglu Station, stepping on the scent of late autumn, passing through the tunnel, and arrived at the bank of the Fuchun River. The road was full of mountains, rivers, and mountains, and everything was overwhelming. The village of "Crab Pit Mouth" appears in front of us. Here, following the sign for another 2.5 kilometers, you can go deep into the "Liuyun Township Villa" in Qinglongwu in the valley.
The whole journey takes half an hour, making people relaxed and at ease, which is the best state for going on vacation.

The Liuyun Villa is inspired by the famous Japanese architectural designer Takasuke Fujimoto, who turned inspiration into "Liuyun", complementing this ancient mountain village.
In Qinglongwu, there are not only Yanjiyou Bookstore, but also Liuyun themed homestays, a solo art museum, Liuyun Corridor, Cloud Stage, Yiting Pavilion, Inception Spring, and more. The integration of various art spaces collides dreams with reality, generating clusters of sparks.

Behind the Yan You Ji Bookstore is the themed homestay - Liuyun Township Villa, which has been transformed from a century old house. I spent my brief two nights in Tonglu in Liuyun Township Villa.
Standing on the top platform of the bookstore, looking towards the Liuyun Village, the layers of gray tiles add to the taste amidst the mountains. Perhaps in the long past, these yellow walls and black tiles were not so neatly arranged, but still retained their original flavor.

Liuyun Village and Yanjiyou Bookstore share a similar charm, preserving the exterior walls of the old house for repair. The compacted earth walls and scattered wooden windows are the nodes of the old times. The design of this "flowing cloud" preserves objects from old times and blends them with similarities from new times. It must be said that this is the greatest respect and love for the past.

Liuyun Township Villa consists of 17 guest rooms transformed from 6 old houses, with two levels of space for family or friends to come with. The most unique thing is that each guest room is named after the original owner of the house, such as the "Lihua" where I stayed, the "Yangjia" building with a wooden screen in the picture, and the "pigsty" across from them... These are not only a respect for the original owner and the original building, but also the most direct connection between the present and the past.

In each guest room, there are more or less open wooden windows on the walls, with wooden frames embedded above them. These windows and wooden boards are all taken from the old house in the past. In addition to these wooden windows, the pottery jars in the room are also taken from old objects in the village. In addition, with the mottled yellow soil walls, it feels like living in an old house in Qinglongwu a hundred years ago.

In an average of over 60 square meters of guest rooms, the facilities are also kept as simple as possible. While fully meeting the needs of guests, the focus is more on experiencing the old times and unique charm in this room.
The bathroom is also large enough to fully meet the needs of vacation.

Each guest room in Liuyun has its own small courtyard, and the stairs on the second floor are either inside or outside the courtyard. It seems that every design is unique and has its greatest value.

Each two-story raised roof of the house is equipped with high windows, creating a unique scenic line between the earth walls and eaves. The high windows miraculously detach the roof from the house and make it float, even the thick and heavy rammed earth ancient village has a dynamic atmosphere of clouds. As the sunlight shifts, the scenery inside and outside the room changes.
And this also echoes the name of the "Liuyun" village.

Time flies, cities are very close; The pace of life is fast, but people seem to be a lot unfamiliar with each other... There will always be people and things that cannot be understood and entangled endlessly. It's worth learning to temporarily put them aside and go to the countryside to find a good medicine for treating sadness. Sitting in front of the wide bay window in the villa room of Liuyun, the mountains, flowing clouds, and quiet time outside the window, the inner struggle will quietly heal. Originally, happiness can also be so effortless.

Mantou made in wine is unique to Tonglu. When normal Mantou is mixed with flour, wine is added to it bit by bit, and the dough is kneaded. The steamed Mantou is soft and delicious, with a light smell of wine. This Mantou is not stronger than the Mantou in the north, but it tastes delicious when wrapped with full and juicy Braised pork belly. I didn't expect to have such a dish about Mantou in the south.
② Stir fried dried bamboo shoots. Recommendation index: 4 stars
The bamboo shoots of this season are quite good. Slice and stir fry, it's very flavorful.

About Transportation ：
Transportation in various regions → Tonglu
high-speed rail??: Tonglu High speed Railway Station, Hangzhou East → Tonglu has many trips, half an hour; From Shanghai Hongqiao to Tonglu, it takes 2 hours and there are also available flights available. I have a round-trip trip from Jinan, which takes about 3 hours to complete. There is only one flight from Jinan to Tonglu, and the time is not suitable. You can transfer to Hangzhou East. Anyway, taking the high-speed rail is still very convenient.
Self driving?: Driving 260 kilometers from Shanghai, approximately 4 hours; The entire journey from Hangzhou to Tonglu is 85 kilometers, taking about 1 hour, passing through the Rainbow Expressway and the Changshen Expressway.
