Before leaving, I looked at the Buddhist Building of Fantian Temple that seemed easier to park cars than near Wansong Academy; when I turned into Fenghuang Mountain Road, the parking lot I had seen in advance said that it was not allowed to park-in fact, there were quite a lot of parking spots here. I found a place to park my car a little further, and after getting off the bus, the "Fantian Temple Road" bus stop was nearby.

Walking a few hundred meters along Fantian Temple Road, you will see the Buddhist Building of Fantian Temple: it has been more than a thousand years since the early Northern Song Dynasty, and it is now a national key cultural relics protection unit; looking up, you can see the blue and clear sky in the autumn in the south of the Yangtze River, and the mild afternoon sun shines on the towering roof of the Buddhist Building. It feels a little dazzling. The leaves of a ginkgo tree on the side are already half yellow. Opposite the Jing Building is a kindergarten-June 1 Kindergarten.

Turn left on the stone steps up the mountain. The road signs are clearly marked, heading towards Qiyun Temple and Yueyan. The mountain road is very easy to walk, almost all of which are made of stone steps; there are high and low trees and shrubs on both sides of the road, yellow leaves falling on the stone steps, fruits like wild chestnuts, and occasionally unknown flowers are blooming on the roadside... In parallel, there is also a mountain road of loess and gravel. It should be the mountain road used to climb the mountain, but now it is obviously abandoned.

On the southern slope of Banshan Mountain is the Qiyun Ancient Temple. It is said that Master Lianchi once abbot here. The temple is not big, and the bright yellow color of the outer walls makes it more peaceful in the peaceful mountains and forests. When I came out of Qiyun Temple, I walked not far up my left hand to the Moon Rock: a stone forest stood out among the mountains and forests, and there was also a clear spring among the rocks. It was said that the moonlight passed through the treetops on the night of the moon and sprinkled on the rocks and clear springs. Above it, that kind of ethereal and illusory is rare in the world-although it is not visible at this time, the sun heading west obliquely through the forest, and there seemed to be light and shadow floating on the surface of the rock... There were not many pedestrians on the way up the mountain, and occasionally I encountered one or two climbers; However, at Yueyan, he met a large group of children-elementary and junior high school students. They said they were on the weightlifting team and practiced like this every day.

There are vaguely stone carvings on the piles of stones standing on the top of Taishan Mountain-called "Pai Ya Shi Poetry Carvings". Probably because these stones are erected in two rows from north to south in the east-west direction, they are named "Pai Ya Shi". Legend has it that it was named after King Qian Liu of Wu and Yue. The trees on the top of the mountain are sparse, and the empty ground is covered with withered fallen leaves. On such a sunny autumn day, the breeze blows over the strong autumn feeling... Seeing these stones, I remember that I used to go up Phoenix Mountain with my friends from the Laoyu Palace. Many years have passed in the blink of an eye.

Turn right and head east to Fenghuang Pavilion. Near the southern foot of the hillside, you can see a large area of archaeological relics. According to the road sign, it should be the Shengguo Temple ruins, but the road is closed and cannot pass through. Fenghuang Mountain was the location of the royal palace in the Southern Song Dynasty. During the Yuan Dynasty, the imperial city was destroyed by fire and almost disappeared; it is difficult to find its former glory now. Phoenix Pavilion is located on the top of Fenghuang Mountain. The pavilion has two floors. Climbing the Phoenix Pavilion, you can have a broad view of heaven and earth. To the northeast are Wushan and West Lake, to the south are Qiantang River and Qianjiang New City, and to the west you can overlook Yuhuang Mountain and the mountains around the West Lake: "The mountain overlooks the rivers and lakes and the world are small, and the atmosphere connects the ancient and modern heroes of Wu and Yue." As the sun approaches dusk, the orange sunset on the rolling Western Hills makes heaven and earth silent.

Fenghuang Pavilion descends the mountain and passes by on the road: Laohu Cave on the left hand side-but an iron gate on the fence of the iron fence is locked, and the Zhongshan Forest Monument on the right hand side is passed; it takes only ten minutes to reach the foot of the mountain. A simple wooden fence surrounds the ruins of the imperial city wall of the Southern Song Dynasty. After passing through three or two residential houses, you will reach Wansongling Road. The sky is getting darker and the lights on the street are already on; groups of students from schools nearby on the road are passing by in front of the inscriptions of Lin 'an City-the Imperial City Ruins...

Wansong Academy is located on Wansongling Road at the northern foot of Fenghuang Mountain, which is also the origin of its name; the main entrance of the Academy is under the Wansongling Bus Station. The academy was built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. It is surrounded by the Qianjiang River on the left and the West Lake on the right. It is located surrounded by green mountains. It is "extremely brilliant and the most advantageous place." As once the highest institution of education in Zhejiang Province, the academy has a long history; Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty awarded the titles of "Zhejiang River Applied Literature" and "Lake and Mountain Cuisine" respectively. Many scholars in history, including Wang Yangming and Zhu Yizun, have given lectures here.

Late autumn and early winter overlap, red maples and ginkgo are the most beautiful seasons. The garden is only the colorful autumn colors that set off the autumn sky and the clear blue sky. There are very few tourists who stroll quietly in the academy and follow the mountains upwards. The archway, Yangshengmen, Mingdao Hall, Dacheng Hall, and Confucius are engraved in line. The four characters "Master of the World" are written on the huge photo wall near the highest point...

Going up to the left is the "Watching the Wind and Changing" pavilion, and turning down is the tomb of martyr Yu Zisan. Yu Zisan was a leader of the student movement at Zhejiang University. Before liberation in 1947, he was arrested by Kuomintang spies and secretly killed in prison. He was only 23 years old when he died. Under the efforts of Zhu Kezhen, then president of Zhejiang University, and others, he was buried at the foot of Fenghuang Mountain in Wansong Ridge. After returning to the Dacheng Hall, turn right. When passing through the stone forest, you can have a panoramic view of the West Lake from a high place. The view is so good that you can clearly see the nearby Leifeng Pagoda and the slender Baoji Pagoda on Baoshi Mountain in the distance at the same time. Continue down and see Huting, Guanyin Hall, and Zhengyi Hall respectively. Exit from the side gate of the academy to the Wansong Academy parking lot; at this time, you can already see Jieyi Pavilion next to the north side of the academy.

There is a stone step up the mountain just north of Jieyi Pavilion, the entrance of Wansong Academy on Fenghuang Mountain. Because the academy is surrounded by fences, although there is a road directly up the mountain, you will see that the gate is locked. Go straight up the mountain road, and follow the sign to the left at a high point above. Not far from the ruins of the Laohudong Official Kiln in the Southern Song Dynasty is the ruins. After walking around for a while, the management staff came up and asked which door to go out from and said that there were three doors; it turned out that the door was closed at 4:30 and the door was to be locked. We return to the above three-fork road, and go westward in the other direction. We find that we have passed through this intersection the last time we came here: on the left, going east, is Fenghuang Pavilion, and on the right, going west, is Jiangtaishan Paiyashi.

The afterglow of the setting sun passes through the forest almost parallel to the horizon, intermittently casting bright golden traces on the street trees on both sides of the mountain road; soon this golden touch also disappeared-the sunset has set. Pass the Paiya stone carvings, go down the mountain on the north side, and you will reach the Old Jade Palace in Ciyunling for more than ten minutes: to the south, you can reach the Five Dynasties Statues and Bagua Field in Ciyunling, and to the west, you can go up the Jade Emperor Mountain, and to the north, you can go down the mountain not far away. It is the north gate of Jade Emperor Mountain.
