On the last weekend before summer vacation, I drove away from the hustle and bustle of the city with my loved ones to Tonglu to experience the rapids exploration of Tonglu Huxiao Gorge and welcome the midsummer with a wanton rafting.
Fate is always wonderful. We have been together for so long and have been to so many places together, but we rarely rafting together. The first rafting was the river rafting we experienced in Malaysia, and that was the first time we met; and the second rafting, this rapids expedition in Huxiao Gorge, also gave us extremely good memories.

Tonglu is no stranger to me. Tonglu, a neighbor of Hangzhou, attracts countless tourists from Hangzhou because of its beautiful natural scenery and rich tourism resources. The same is true for me.

In the mountains of Tonglu, there is a place where we can drift among the mountains and forests to seek the excitement of summer alone; here, we can play in the streams and enjoy the joy of family and friends; Here, we can taste delicious food in nature and feel the flavor of natural food; here, we can fall asleep under the stars and chase the ultimate beauty of nature. This is the Huxiao Gorge Rapids Adventure Scenic Area.

Huxiao Gorge Rafting is located in Zhongshan Township, Tonglu. It is one of the most famous rafting spots in Zhejiang Province and even the Yangtze River Delta. Stimulation is the biggest highlight of Huxiao Gorge and the main reason that attracts us here. Huxiao Gorge rafting has even been praised by many tourists as the "No. 1 drifting in East China", and tourists who have experienced it have agreed.

"When the five mountains come back, they don't look at the mountains, and when the tiger comes back, they don't play in the water." The 10-kilometer-long canyon rafting and the 260-meter vertical drop, I saw whether these could no longer suppress my inner agitation and wanted to arrange a summer vacation for myself. Every year with the arrival of summer, rafting scenic spots in various places will become the most lively places. Before the arrival of midsummer, I came to Tonglu this time to experience the most exciting rafting around Hangzhou with my loved ones.
On both sides of the river, there are cliffs and dangerous peaks, flying waterfalls and springs, and the mountains are extremely dangerous. The river water is turbulent like an arrow, and the waves are rushing like a rush. It splits rocks and penetrates the gorges. The peaks and waters turn, winding and shuttling through the canyons. The current is rapid and passes through the stones and walls, chasing the waves, and the thrilling excitement of the high and low drops.

Huxiao Gorge is hidden in the mountains, surrounded by forests, and sheds the brightest sunshine in the scorching summer. I have been to some rafting before, and it relies entirely on the rainfall in the sky. If the weather is not good and there is no rain for a long time, then the rafting will basically not be able to drift. It is different here. Huxiao Gorge Drifting is built on the basis of a reservoir. The reservoir has a storage capacity of 1 million cubic meters. Whenever you come here, you will be greeted by the clear rapids.

I am a person who likes exciting sports. The experience brought to us by rafting here is unparalleled. I thought the steep slope was the most exciting time, but when a free-fall of several meters high, the water waves raised drowned us. The excitement of that moment makes people can't help but shout. When the kayaking reached the end of the rafting journey, we both smiled and said that we would come again next time.

Although Huxiao Gorge is very thrilling, we will not worry about our own safety during the experience, because the scenic area has made sufficient preparations in terms of safety. Self-driving: You can directly navigate to the Huxiao Gorge Rapids Adventure, which takes about 2 hours from downtown Hangzhou
High-speed rail: It takes 40 minutes to reach Tonglu Station by high-speed rail at Hangzhou East Railway Station. It takes 40 minutes to take a taxi from the station to Huxiao Gorge, and the cost is about 100 yuan
Car: There are shuttle buses from Hangzhou South Railway Station and West Railway Station to Tonglu Passenger Station, and then take a taxi.

Rafting is a seasonal scenic spot. Generally speaking, the visitor center is relatively simple. When I came to the Huxiao Gorge Visitor Center, I was pleasantly surprised by the majestic buildings in front of me. The roof of the large steel structure and the white and blue mosaic color. From a distance, there is the illusion of an "opera house", which can not only protect out the wind and rain, but also ventilate the surroundings.
In front of the visitor center is a parking lot, which has an area of tens of thousands of square meters that can accommodate six to seven hundred parking spaces. The visitor center is divided into three floors. The first floor is the lobby resting area and is also the main functional area, providing ticketing, consultation, storage, bathing, hair blowing, medical and other services; on the second and third floors are restaurants and casual tea bars, where casual dining is also a good choice.

Choose a helmet with your favorite color, put on a life jacket and helmet, and you can wait for the bus at the nearby individual passenger transfer center. It takes about 20 minutes to take the bus to the floating point.

Every city has its own unique taste. Many people who love to travel go to the next place through curiosity and go to the destination to find delicious food, which is a very popular food journey today. The Huxiao Gorge Rapids Expedition is a seasonal scenic spot, but it has complete supporting facilities. For example, there is a Tonglu specialty restaurant on the second floor of the Visitor Center. The authentic Tonglu dishes you can taste here. You can also enjoy the beautiful and gentle lakes and mountains while sitting in the box.

When I came to Tonglu Huxiao Gorge, due to geographical conditions, many of the delicacies here are hidden in mountains, forests and lakes and are not easy to obtain, but the delicacies here are still extremely rich. Braised pork may not be so beautiful in appearance, but when eaten, it can bring incomparable satisfaction to the mouth. This is the taste of home.

Every winter, local people make their own sausages. Sausages can be preserved for a long time and are delicious in summer. The simpler cooking method can best reflect the quality of a delicious food. I drove to Tonglu Huxiao Gorge and prepared to spend a cool midsummer weekend. In addition to carefully selecting the places to play, we also put some thought into accommodation. In the end, we chose to live in Heyun B & B near the Huxiao Gorge Scenic Area.

Heyun B & B is located halfway up the mountain in Zhongshan Township, backed by green mountains and green forests and surrounded by terraces in front of it, giving people a peaceful rural experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It kept circling along the winding mountain road to the B & B. It was late at this time, and the mountains were filled with clouds and mist after the rain. Looking at the B & B from the front and back, it seemed like I was in a fairyland.

Passing through an arch formed by vines, you will enter Heyun B & B. There is a blue outdoor swimming pool with swimming rings of different shapes next to the pool. On the side of the pool near the terraces is a curved terrace. It will be a wonderful thing to have a cup of coffee with someone you love and wait for a sunset. However, the weather is not good. In the rainy Jiangnan, today is no longer a day for sunset, so we can only wait until next time.

The bright and warm room, neatly laid sheets, high-quality bathing products, smart toilets, small refrigerators, etc., all matched the standards of a five-star hotel.
