For a period of time in late August, my mind was troubled and my mood was low. One day, I suddenly had an idea, why not find an opportunity to visit Hangzhou in mid-September? The time and place are all suitable. One is to clear your thoughts, the second is to visit the temple, the third is to visit friends, and the fourth is to relax your feelings. It can be said that you can achieve four goals with one stone. So he immediately started taking action, booked the hotel within one day, made the itinerary plan, and only looked forward to the departure day.
At 1:00 p.m. on the 18th, my husband and I arrived at the Yurong Xilu Resort Hotel by the West Lake. On weekdays, the West Lake Scenic Area has a quiet environment and few tourists. We had a simple lunch and dinner at the farmhouse restaurant opposite the hotel, and then walked to Tianzhu Road.
There are three temples on Tianzhu Road from bottom to top, namely Fajing Temple, Fajing Temple and Faxi Temple. As we left late and didn't want to disturb the quiet monks in Suxi, we only looked outside the temple but did not enter it. On the return journey, we took another road, next to the famous Lingyin Temple Scenic Area, but we didn't want to see the lively Lingyin Temple. We would rather take the quiet Tianzhu Road Fuyuan Pedestrian Street with two people. Talk, or just walk silently, watching the green mountains and slopes, listening to the gurgling water on the roadside, the years are quiet, that's enough!
I woke up at 5:30 the next morning. At this time, the sky in Wuhan might have just turned white, but it was already bright morning here in Hangzhou. It is rare to live by the beautiful West Lake. Sixty-year-old Zhou Yunfa even comes for a morning run. How can we miss it? After washing up, my husband and I set out. We followed Longjing Road and ran to Yanggongdi. After passing the Air Force Sanatorium, we ran for a while before turning back. We took a wrong fork in the road on the way back and ran to the Zhejiang Province Brigade Group. We suddenly found that the direction was a bit wrong. We navigated again and arrived at the hotel within a few minutes of turning back. There are many fork roads in the Inner West Lake. Even if locals drive, they will turn off if they are not careful.
Shortly after breakfast, my husband's college classmate in Hangzhou came. He said that he would take us to visit the "Eight Trigrams Field" of the Southern Song Dynasty emperor first. This is the first time I have heard of this place. It is not far from the hotel where we stayed and next to the "Southern Song Dynasty Porcelain Museum". After slowly walking through the local "Eight Diagrams Field", we went to the Porcelain Museum. There happened to be a jade exhibition jointly exhibited by the Wuhan Museum and the Hangzhou Museum. I first saw the jade exhibition, and then visited the Porcelain Museum. Unfortunately, due to the movement to break the old four during the Cultural Revolution (eavesdropping on the words of the team commentator next to him), many of the porcelain on display were incomplete. After walking around, I couldn't find any of them as the "treasure of the museum." Compared with the porcelain of the Hubei Province Museum, it was still a lot worse (I am proud to be from Hubei again, haha!).
At noon, my husband's classmates invited us to have dinner at the famous "Lantern Tribe" in Siyanjing Lane on the nearby mountain. The "tribe" built on the mountain is uniquely decorated and full of scenery. Sitting in such a beautiful environment and enjoying delicious food, I have to admit that Hangzhou people really know how to live life. It is simple, exquisite, simple and fresh. No wonder Shanghai people want to treat Hangzhou as their own "back garden"!
After dinner, my husband and classmates drove us to the "Jiuxi Yanshu" bus stop on the Qiantang River. From here, we started walking and crossed the famous "Jiuxi Eighteen Streams" scenic spot from south to north. Judging from the name, you can tell that there are many streams and mountain streams here. This is also a first-level protected area for Longjing Tea. The road is full of green and quiet, with gurgling streams, tea gardens filling the slopes, and many people taking wedding photos. It seems that our choice is right. We easily completed the six-kilometer journey in less than two hours.
We took the bus back to the hotel. It was still early and we sat in the corridor outside the room to rest. There were many tables and chairs in the corridor and yard. At first, I didn't understand how to put so many tables and chairs outside, but now I finally understood it. The design of the hotel is unique and simple. Two floors of antique old wooden buildings form a small courtyard house. There is a ginkgo tree with lush branches and leaves in the middle of the courtyard. The weak sunshine in the autumn afternoon shines obliquely into the yard, making people lazy. They just want to sit down and enjoy this moment of tranquility.
There are many foreigners living here. Some of them sit for hours at a time. They just sit quietly alone, have a drink, check their mobile phones, or whisper to each other. I have the honor to be one of them. I walked more than 30,000 steps that day and fell asleep early at 9 p.m. On the third morning, I woke up at five o'clock as usual. I didn't want to disturb my husband, who was still sleeping soundly. After getting up and washing up, I walked slowly along the path behind the hotel alone.
The hotel area where I stayed was called Maojiabu, which belonged to the Inner West Lake. It was close to the Outer West Lake, which was crowded with tourists. There were few pedestrians and it was extremely quiet. The morning sun is clear and soft, and the breeze blows, bringing the fragrance of various wild plants by the lake. I meandered along the wooden plank road by the lake, quietly feeling the beauty of this autumn day alone, and I felt extremely relaxed and happy.
After breakfast, we took the bus to Lingyin Temple to meet our husband's classmates. Today's itinerary is mainly to climb the northern peak and then go to Fashi Temple in Shangtianzhu to eat vegetarian food. Beigao Peak is the highest mountain by the West Lake. At the foot of the mountain is the famous Lingyin Temple. Beigao Peak is famous for Chairman Mao's visit in 1955 and left a famous poem: Three times up the North Peak, Hangzhou looks into the sky. There are trees beside the Flying Phoenix Pavilion, and the wind rises on the Peach Blossom Ridge. When the heat comes, you find a fan, and when the cold goes, you find a beautiful woman. Under the floating harrier, welcome evening hawks. It only took us more than half an hour to reach the top of the North Peak Peak. Climb to the top and overlook Hangzhou City, and you can have a panoramic view of the entire city. My husband and classmates carried tea and boiling water with them and prepared to rest and drink tea on the top of the mountain. My husband looked at a pavilion on the opposite mountain and asked where it was? My classmates said it was Meiren Peak, so why don't we go to the pavilion over there to have tea!
After walking and talking, we soon arrived at the pavilion of Meiren Peak. The students quickly took out tea sets to make tea. Standing in the pavilion overlooking Hangzhou City, there is a large green space nearby. Students said that is the "Xixi Wetland" you planned to visit. It used to be a swamp with many birds inhabiting it. Later, the government developed the wetland and transformed it into a scenic spot. There are fewer and fewer birds. There are boating inside, and there is little history and culture. "Xixi Wetland" is one of Hangzhou's top ten scenic spots and a must-check place for tourists when they come to Hangzhou. But we have never liked scenic spots with many tourists. Just like we live by the West Lake but don't go to the top ten scenic spots of the West Lake (we walked most of the lake with our son and mother in 13 years), and we have visited Lingyin Temple twice without entering. Places with many tourists are too noisy and crowded, which is common throughout China.
After climbing a mountain and sweating, drink some hot tea and blow in the wind. It is most comfortable. After a short nap, we began to go down the mountain. Our classmates often come here and recommended us a shortcut for hiking enthusiasts. Soon we reached the foot of the mountain and reached the Lingyin Temple Scenic Area. From here, we walked for more than half an hour, passed the Buddhist Academy and detour behind Faxi Temple, and then went down the mountain to the main entrance.
It was lunch time, and the ticket was ten yuan. After entering, you could spend another five yuan for a vegetarian meal. Three simple dishes and one soup, plus rice and porridge, due to the excessive consumption of mountain climbing, all three of us ate comfortably and fully. Last night at the Internet celebrity restaurant opposite the hotel, the Hangbang food I ate was a little sweet and greasy. Today's vegetarian food is just right to neutralize the stomach.
After eating vegetarian food, we began to visit the temple. Faxi Temple is the largest and most majestic of the three temples on Tianzhu Road. The building is magnificent and the incense is strong. The five hundred arhats in the Daxiong Hall are all built on three walls made of cement, piled from where the eyes are level to the top of the wall, lifelike. After turning around Faxi Temple, we walked along Tianzhu Foyuan Pedestrian Street to the bus stop of Lingyin Temple, where we said goodbye to our husband's classmates. Thanks to his company these two days, we were able to truly appreciate the charm of West Lake. My husband said: It seems that scenic spots cannot be judged on the surface alone. I always thought that the East Lake in Wuhan is bigger and the West Lake in Hangzhou is smaller. The West Lake cannot be compared with our East Lake. Why is the West Lake more famous than the East Lake? Now I finally understand that it turns out that cultural heritage is different from historical accumulation.
I returned to the hotel and rested for a while. I thought that there was still a famous former residence close to the back door of the hotel and I had to leave tomorrow morning. Why not go now? Before we close the door too late. Walking to the door of "Du Jinsheng's Former Residence", there was a construction notice posted on the door. The door was ajar. We pushed the door open and entered, and turned around slightly when we entered. This person is a famous silk industrialist in Hangzhou. He is very patriotic and the first designer to weave Hangzhou's beautiful scenery into silk. The brand "Dujinsheng" is still very famous to this day.
After seeing the former residence, we crossed the Yujian Bridge (where several couples took wedding photos) and walked along the wooden plank road in Maojiabu. Now this area is a wetland. Before the Republic of China, in ancient times, when dignitaries and pilgrims went to Tianzhu temples to pay incense, they had to get off by boat and then take Xianggu Road to the temple. The Tongli Bridge, built in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, has become a key monument and has been protected in the early 21st century. There are flocks of mandarin ducks in the lake, chirping like ducks. If we hadn't seen warning signs telling tourists to protect the environment and not to feed mandarin ducks at will, we would have thought they were wild ducks!
Slowly walking around the natural and wild wetlands, people became much more energetic. Walking back to the back of the hotel, we went to the No. 1 Internet celebrity restaurant here for tea and dinner. The vast garden has a quiet environment. The Lixi Lake is just dozens of meters away from the door. Sitting in the courtyard with flowers and water, chatting while drinking tea, it is very comfortable. I slowly experience the fun of life and taste local food. I really want to live here for a long time.
The three leisurely days passed quickly. Next, we are going to the Qiandao Lake Scenic Area in Chun'an. I have been to Hangzhou three times, but for the first time, I have a sentimental attachment to it. I really look forward to staying here for a long time after retirement. Hangzhou is worthy of being one of the top ten livable cities. Regardless of its cultural history, its mountains and rivers, although it is a "small home", it is rich in wealth, exquisite and elegant, which is very suitable for our temperament. No wonder the netizen I have known for several years traveled all over China, from Guangzhou to Jianshui, and finally chose to live here for a long time.
Qiandao Lake, formerly known as Xin 'anjiang Reservoir, has thousands of islands in the lake area, of various sizes and scattered like pearls inlaid on the water surface of dozens of square kilometers in the lake area. After lunch at noon, we took the bus to the cruise ship terminal. Tickets and tickets were 190 yuan per person. We visited the lake area for more than four hours and visited two large islands and four small islands.
Climb on the largest viewing platform of Meifeng Island and look around, you will see distant mountains like Dai and islands like beads scattered on the calm lake. It is a spectacular landscape painting. We stayed on the island for an hour, with cruise ships next to each other, filling the harbor. Most of the tourists are from Zhejiang, and there are many young people in groups. They chatted and laughed all the way, which was very lively.
Chun'an has beautiful mountains and clear waters and outstanding people. During the Jiajing period of the Qing Dynasty, Hai Rui served as governor of Chun'an County. He was an honest official and benefited the people. Due to the construction of a reservoir, the former Chun'an County was submerged under water, and Hairui Temple was relocated to a nearby island. After the tour guide recommended us to Shanghai Ruidao, we must try the island's specialty-filial mother cake. This is a kind of snack created by the Haidao, who has always lived a simple life, to celebrate my mother's birthday.
After visiting the two big islands, we visited four more small islands on the way back. The scenic spots on these four small islands are completely man-made to increase tourism income. However, it will be interesting to take a slow walk and take a look. My husband specially filled a bottle of lake water with a mineral water bottle beside the boat. We both tasted it. It was indeed the quality of "Nongfu Spring". It was cool and slightly sweet, which showed the excellent water quality.
After taking the cruise ship, we returned to the Urban area and had dinner at a small restaurant opposite the hotel. We specially ordered a famous fat-headed fish in Qiandao Lake. Although there are also fat-headed fish in Hubei, the fat-headed fish in Qiandao Lake are still more delicious than those in Hubei. The fish is tender and smooth without fishy smell. A fish weighing more than four kilograms, the head and skeleton are used for soup, and the fish body is sliced into fish slices. It is boiling in the hot pot, which is very tempting. After eating the fish, we put some noodles in the soup. Fish soup instant noodles are the last finishing meal for eating fish. We often ate this way before, but the fish noodles in Qiandao Lake taste better.
After a gluttonous meal, I returned to the hotel. I took a shower and prepared to rest. My husband suggested that we go for a walk by the lake. Without the bright sunshine and bustling people during the day, the lake was very quiet at night. We walked slowly along the boardwalk by the lake. From time to time, the songs of K singers came from the central square, singing songs that belonged to my youth. In such a place and at such a moment, to be able to hear such songs with memories of the times may be a coincidence, a fate, or a hope for future life!
The beauty of travel is not only the beautiful scenery during the journey, but also the people you meet during the journey. Although we met each other once and said a few words, it gave people warmth and touching, added fun to the journey and made the trip more complete.
