The Spring Festival shift was off three days early and after working hard for a year, I decided to go to Hangzhou near Shanghai with my friends at the end of the year to relax and relieve the pressure. From January 21 to January 23, 2020, a 3-day tour of Hangzhou. My friend had to go to work on the 21st. I went to Hangzhou first in the morning of the 21st and met with my friends in the evening.
The schedule is confirmed and you will start planning your trip immediately. Considering that I have been to Hangzhou many times, I plan to visit some places I have never been to and relatively unpopular attractions this time.
The final confirmed itinerary is as follows:
On the morning of January 21, the train leaves for Hangzhou
Visit: Three historical districts: Xiaoqiao Zhijie, Dadou Road, and Gongchen Bridge Bridge West.
January 22, Hangzhou City Leisure Tour
Tour: West Lake, Qingzhiwu
Continue leisure tours in Hangzhou on January 23
Tour: West Lake
The trip trip this time is very simple, mainly a relaxing leisure trip.
A round-trip train ticket was purchased in advance, and on the morning of January 21, the Shanghai South Train went to Hangzhou.
The train stops at Hangzhou East Railway Station and takes the subway to the hotel. The hotel was booked at Pinshang, Jinjiang Inn on Southern Song Yujie. The hotel is located in a good location on the Southern Song Yujie Pedestrian Street, very close to Hefang Street. The price of more than 200 yuan also includes double morning, with good sanitation and equipment, and extremely cost-effective.
When you check into the hotel, you should rest in the hotel for a while. Depart for lunch at a restaurant that is purchased in advance.
We had a group purchase for lunch on e Road. Interpret classic Hangzhou cuisine. I bought a group meal for two for 75 yuan. The price is cheap and the quantity is large but the quality is not very good.
After lunch, the bus navigation went to Xiaoqiao Zhijie Historical District. I searched this niche cultural attraction online and found it highly praised and was called Xiaowu Town.
However, after arriving at the scene, I felt that there was a big gap between the famous ancient towns and ancient streets in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. The place was very small, most of them were newly built, and only a small section of the ancient streets had a literary atmosphere. However, the minority is indeed a minority. Maybe they go there on weekdays and the New Year is approaching, so there is only one tourist on the whole street except for the security guard. I wanted to spend the afternoon at a high-rated coffee shop, but the coffee shop was closed. Many stores have closed doors.
The three historical districts of Xiaoqiao Zhi Street, Dadou Road, and Gongchen Bridge Bridge West are not far away. After that, we shared bicycle navigation to Gongchen Bridge Bridge West Historical District.
Along the canal, Qiaoxi Historical District has more shops than Xiaoqiao Street, making it more popular. There are several museums displaying folk art, Fan Museum, etc. Overall average.
Finally, continue to cycle and navigate to the Dadou Road Historical District, which is more like a park with good greening. On one side are restaurants and teahouses, and on the other side is the river. However, all the shops are closed. This is more like a hotel settlement with a good environment. As a tourist attraction, it is not worth visiting.
These three historical districts in Hangzhou feel that they are not as interesting as Pingjiang Road and Shantang Street in Suzhou. There is no need to make a special trip as a tourist attraction.
After that, the bus guided the way to the West Lake Broken Bridge. As a landmark attraction of the West Lake, there are many people on the Broken Bridge.
Follow Beishan Road of the West Lake towards Yuemiao to enjoy the scenery and historical buildings of the West Lake.
When you are tired from walking, you will continue to ride your bicycle. Cycling along Yanggong Causeway, I have been to Hangzhou for the first time.
There were relatively few people in Yanggongdi. It started to rain at this time. There was a lot of vegetation around it. You could see the West Lake by passing through the small bridge by chance. The scenery is very elegant, not as many people as Broken Bridge and Su Causeway.
After passing through Lei Feng Tower, we continued to ride to Hefang Street.
It was already 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and friends had to arrive at the hotel around 8 o'clock. Wait for him to join us for dinner.
I ate fried tripe with soy sauce on Hefang Street to relieve my hunger.
After strolling around Hefang Street and Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street for a while, I returned to the hotel to wait for friends to meet up.
Friends arrived in Hangzhou at around 8 o'clock and went to Jiujiali not far from the hotel for dinner.
The price is also 75 yuan, but the quality is much better than lunch.
After dinner, go to Hefang Street with friends.
After that, ride along Nanshan Road of West Lake to see the night view of West Lake.
We have basically circled the West Lake today.
When I returned to the hotel to rest in the evening, COVID-19 was reported on the news. Reports are highly contagious and the virus is fierce.
When I travel from Shanghai to Hangzhou and Hangzhou, I basically wear a mask. At that time, I didn't know how severe COVID-19 was, but I was afraid of the cold, so I wore a mask.
On January 22, I slept until I woke up naturally. The news reported that there were more and more cases of COVID-19 infection, but we didn't pay too much attention at that time.
breakfast
After resting in the room for a while, checked out, and went to the West Lake to play. There are not many people wearing masks in Hangzhou, but there are still many people on the road. Shopping malls and restaurants were all open normally and were not affected.
Arriving at the West Lake, it rained heavily, so I had to sit in a rain-blocking place by the West Lake.
For lunch, go to the Xinglunduo buffet. The price is not expensive, but there are no too amazing dishes. After all, the price is there, and every price gets what you get. It's a good value for money.
After lunch, take a taxi to Qingzhiwu.
Qingzhiwu is a small and fresh attraction that has developed in recent years. The main thing here is specialty B & Bs. It continued to rain heavily when we arrived at Qingzhiwu.
I booked the Qingting Youth Hostel in Qingzhiwu. This youth hostel is quite famous in Qingzhiwu with a good environment and location.
The youth hostel I stayed in before didn't have towels and toiletries, so I brought my own. Maybe we booked a standard room, so we have all these in the room.
When I checked into the Youth Hostel, I entered the room. The room was not big, but it was very sanitary.
I like the bed near the window in the room best. If the weather is good, I can lie in the bed and watch the stars. Unfortunately, the weather is not beautiful.
It was raining heavily outside, so we spent time in the Youth Youth Hostel lobby. The lobby of this Youth Hostel is nice.
The rain has eased up, so I go out and visit Qingzhiwu, which is close to the Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University.
It is located at the foot of the mountain, very close to the Botanical Garden, and the air is very good.
Since many shops were closed during the New Year, everyone went back to celebrate the New Year.
Considering the epidemic, I bought 40 masks in the supermarket here. At that time, there were many masks in the supermarket, and one counter was filled with masks.
Dinner was eaten at Pushu Restaurant, where friends here praised the sweet and sour pork ribs, which were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
After dinner, the rain stopped and visit the specialty B & Bs in Qingzhiwu. The B & Bs here become more and more distinctive as they go deeper. The innermost B & B backs the mountain, with a yard in front and running water. Living in this mountain for a few days can cultivate one's character.
I slept until I woke up naturally on January 23, when the news had already reported on the severity and infectivity of the epidemic.
After eating wontons for breakfast, people on the road put on masks and began to be alert.
Check out after breakfast and head to the Botanical Garden. Admission is 10 yuan, and Yuquan is in the Botanical Garden.
The Botanical Garden is so big that we probably won't be able to visit it in one day. So we decided to only go to Yuquan.
Yuquan is not far from Qingzhiwu, and it begins to rain heavily when we reach Yuquan.
There are big carp in the Yuquan. This is the first time I have seen such a big fish. It is estimated to be 1 meter long.
There is a Louwailou restaurant near Yuquan. If you book in advance, you don't need to buy tickets to the Botanical Garden.
After leaving the Botanical Garden, we took a taxi to the West Lake and had New Bailu Restaurant for lunch, a typical Hangzhou dish.
We took the train back to Shanghai at 5 o'clock, and after lunch, we went to the West Lake to see the scenery at early hours.
The KFC by the West Lake drank Snow Top Coffee that it hadn't drunk in many years.
On the way to the train station, most people wore masks.
The train arrived in Shanghai South after 6 o'clock.
There is heaven above, and Suzhou and Hangzhou below. West Lake is the most famous place in Hangzhou and the most worth visiting. After visiting Hangzhou many times, I don't feel much about Hangzhou's iconic attractions, Feilai Peak, etc. On the contrary, places such as Qingzhiwu and Yanggong Dike between mountains and rivers are more worth visiting. Longjing now also has many specialty B & Bs, and next time I plan to go to the mountains to cultivate my soul.
