I have always longed for the small bridges, flowing water and graceful ancient towns in Jiangnan water towns, and have never set foot in any city in East China. Finally, I planned this trip this year by changing jobs.

After choosing to resign naked, my dream of being alone began to change from abstract to concrete! The first stop I wanted to go to was Yunnan. Unfortunately, although I was a female man, I had never tried to travel alone, so I chose a relatively safe route to Xiaoshui Township in the metropolis.

It took only one week from the decision to travel to the time of booking a ticket and leaving. I actually read a lot of strategies for setting such a complex route so quickly, and the itinerary customizable recommended by a friend also contributed. After repeated finalization, this trip to East China was confirmed.

Laomen East Historical District

Before tourism development, this area was collectively known as Old City South, and was divided into Gate East and Gate West by Zhonghua Gate. The Ming and Qing Dynasties were the most prosperous. From the Republic of China to modern times, it was a place with a strong market atmosphere in old Nanjing. Walking through the alleys, you will find many historical traces.

Laomen East Historical District

Mendong is named because it is located south of the ancient capital Jinling and east of Zhonghua Gate. It starts from Changle Road in the north, reaches the Ming City Wall in the south, along the Inner Qinhuai River in the west, and joins Jiangning Road in the east. The traditional street texture has been continued here. The memory of old Nanjing is still there, and the flavor of old Nanjing is still there. Green bricks and small tiles on horse-head walls, and latticed windows are hung on corridors.

Entering from the archway is the main road of the Laomen East Historical District, which leads vertically to the Ming City Wall. There are ancient buildings of blue bricks and black tiles on both sides.

With the change of history, the creeper is still growing very well. The entire wall is green, covering out the mottled traces of history on the wall.

But this wall once witnessed many historical changes and cultural deeds, whether or not they were recorded in history books, perhaps it witnessed those stories with its own eyes.

Old Gate Dongli has a strong atmosphere of old Nanjing. I feel that standing or sitting here casually without deliberately is like in an ancient picture, a simple look or action is enough to look good.

Laomendong Food Street

Merchants have been gathered in Mendong since ancient times, and the renovated Mendong is also filled with gourmet shops and restaurants. The flavor of old Nanjing can also be found here. There are duck blood vermicelli, salted duck, sweet taro seedlings, and a variety of specialty snacks. The delicious Nanjing food is within reach on the tip of the tongue.

In addition to delicious food, there are also many things to see in Mendong. Tidiao Mansion, Junhui Bookstore, and Shangjiang Examination shed are all historic points.

The transfer residence is the place where transfer officials work, rest, and live during the imperial examination period.

Junhui Bookstore was a place where Anhui candidates studied and rested before going to Nanjing to take the exam. Now it is well preserved. As a masterpiece of ancient houses of Hui-style architecture, it is antique and complex.

Shangjiang Test Shed was a Shangjiang Test Shed and Xiajiang Test Shed in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Shangjiang Examination Shed is a pre-poem place for Anhui people to go to Nanjing to take the imperial examination.

There are also Jinling Art Museum, Nanjing Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Old City South Memory Museum, and well-known domestic calligraphy and painting masters

After eating traditional snacks, I started to visit the Confucius Temple Scenic Area. Before setting off, I was quite looking forward to the Confucius Temple Scenic Area, because it was also the core area of the entire Nanjing. But the result gave us disappointment. It was the Confucius Temple during the day, and the scenic area was dominated by antique buildings, but the small shops opened had no distinctive features at all. All the gadgets had the label of Yiwu small commodities. What was even more disappointing was that various clothing stores entered it randomly, which instantly felt messy.

These brand-new shops along the street are attracting investment. We really need to plan more carefully for attracting investment in scenic spots.

History can no longer reproduce its former glory for the newly built Capital Theater.

If it weren't for the hot weather, it would be cost-effective to take the one on the right, and the viewing angle would be better.

Zhongshan Mausoleum Scenic Area

Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is the tomb of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the great pioneer of China's modern democratic revolution, and its affiliated commemorative buildings, covering an area of more than 80,000 square meters. The entire building complex is built according to the mountains of Zhongshan Mountain and gradually rises along the central axis from south to north. The main buildings include Bo 'ai Square, tomb path, tomb gate, stone steps, stele pavilions, memorial halls and tomb chambers, etc., arranged on a central axis. On the line, it reflects the style of traditional Chinese architecture. When viewed from the sky, it looks like a "freedom bell" lying flat on a green velvet carpet. The 1994 version of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" can be said to be the peak classic of domestic TV series. Although it has been repeatedly flopped and the film and television production technology has become more mature and advanced, I personally feel that it is difficult to surpass the 1994 version. Cao Cao played by Bao Guoan and Zhuge Liang played by Tang Guoqiang are deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and there is also the Liu Bei who makes people love, hate and anger...

As a film and television with the theme of ancient costumes and wars, the scenes of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" can be said to be majestic. Therefore, it is difficult to imagine that many of the scenes of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" were filmed in the Three Kingdoms City of Wuxi, which does not seem to be particularly large, such as "Liu Bei Recruits a Marriage","Burning Red Cliff","Composing Poetry across the River","Straw Boat Borrowing Arrow","Borrowing the East Wind","Zhuge Conquering Filial Piety", and "Fighting with Words" were filmed here.

Today, Sanguo City still has crew stationed in filming, but usually it is more of a Sanguo film and television theme park. Many tourists come thousands of miles to experience the history and culture of the Three Kingdoms. In addition, Sanguo City is located on the coast of Taihu Lake, which is also an excellent place to enjoy the scenery of Taihu Lake.

The Wu Palace was the tallest building in the Three Kingdoms City. In the Han Dynasty, it was a symbol of official status. The Wu Palace, built on the mountain, has a staggered layout and relies on each other. The winding gray palace walls surround the surroundings and look rough, bold and powerful.

I heard the tour guide say that the Lingering Garden was not originally called this name.

It was during the Jiaqing period that a man named Liu Rongfeng resigned and bought the manor and carefully redesigned it.

Many "white-skinned pine trees" were planted in the park. The bamboo color was clear and cold and the waves were clear, so the owner named it "Hanbi Villa".

The local people called this garden Liu Garden because the owner's surname was Liu.

Later, the garden changed its owner, and the former garden owner was commonly known as Liu Yuan because his surname was Liu. The new garden owner followed the example of Suiyuan, took its pronunciation and changed its word, and changed its name to Liuyuan.

Walking all the way to this place, you can see an atmosphere performance in the water.

A man dressed as a scholar was playing a flute on the bow of the ship, and a man dressed as a bookboy was punting the boat at the stern. The flute sounded melodious and the boat moved forward.

Together with the Summer Palace in Beijing, Chengde Summer Resort, and Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden, the Lingering Garden is known as the four famous gardens in China. Although it is not as big as the Humble Administrator's Garden, it is valuable because it is small and refined. It is still worth visiting and you will discover different scenery from the Humble Administrator's Garden.

Su Causeway is an ultra-long avenue across the West Lake, suitable for walking and cycling. If I really have to ride a bicycle, it will kill me if I walk too tired. I will not be able to walk at most one-third of the way, and my leg will be broken. But slowly walk and watch the swaying willows. Occasionally, people are rafting and carrying kayaks in the West Lake. In the distance are Leifeng Pagoda and lotus flowers. It is really poetic.

There are many stray cats near Su Causeway. I heard that people come to feed them every day. Unfortunately, they have not been sterilized. I am afraid that the number will continue to increase and conflicts between humans and cats will arise.

I went down to the Su Causeway to repair the black spots on the camera. After passing the broken bridge, there were really many people. It was enough to see from a distance. I didn't need to walk by myself. It really exposed many people. However, the broken bridge is really long. In winter, the embankment is connected to the snow. No wonder it is called the broken bridge.

Qiangu Songcheng Scenic Area

In Songcheng, different activities are held at different times and in different seasons.

New Year Temple Fair, Belly Band Festival, Water-Splashing Festival, Nymphomaniac Festival, Mask Festival, Torch Festival... this time we experienced a Crossing Festival.

The so-called crossing means that everyone who enters the scenic area must wear ancient costumes, just like the clothes of ancient people, for a journey of crossing.

There will be such a sign at the ticket purchasing center of the scenic spot. People who do not wear ancient costumes are not allowed to enter, and violators will be arrested.

When you check in and be admitted to the hospital, you will see that the people inside are all dressed in ancient times. As they carry bags, they feel like they are fried chicken.

On the left side of the road is the Human Skin Inn, which is a human voice experience. Various organ abrasives on the human body are hung at the entrance.

Because I have to stay in Zhouzhuang at night, I have been planting grass in this ancient town of Jiangnan for a long time. This time I am lucky enough to stay here, I must come out and experience it at night.

Wuzhen Dongzha

Zhouzhuang Ancient Town slept soundly at night. After washing up, we set off for Dongzha. The Dongzha Scenic Area is not as large as Xizha, but although it is small, the atmosphere of life is stronger. The night here is like an ordinary town, there are not many tourists, but during the day, it becomes lively.

Bund

The Bund is located on the bank of Huangpu River in the center of Huangpu District of Shanghai City. It starts from Yan 'an East Road in the south and ends at Waibaidu Bridge in the north. The trip is coming to an end. Today's arrangements are mainly to buy things and go shopping to experience the dazzling array of Shanghai.

First I went to ASEAN Commodity City and then to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street.

The entire pedestrian street feels a bit like a street in Hong Kong, with many billboards with protruding side signs. There is already a lot of traffic on the entire pedestrian street at 4 or 5 p.m., but since the lights are not turned on in the afternoon, the scenery is a little worse than at night, it is recommended to have dinner on the pedestrian street, and then stroll around the pedestrian street before going to the Bund.

It takes about an hour to walk the entire pedestrian street from one end to the other. You can stop and go, or take a sightseeing bus to tour.

From modern Shanghai, to the garden city of Suzhou, the water town of Wuzhen, to the West Lake in Hangzhou, we feel that time is constantly passing through these days, sometimes in the present, sometimes in the past, and sometimes in the future. It is destined to be an unforgettable trip.
