The focus on this brand originated from the three luxury selection hotels I chose during my first trip to Europe more than 10 years ago, and each of them impressed me.

After returning to China, I began to pay attention to this brand. At that time, the luxury select hotels still under SPG had actually been in China for more than two years. This brand originated in 1906 and has been officially named Luxury Select since 1994. It has a long history. Since 2016, Luxury Select has opened up a new brand image and visual language, taking "experiential luxury" as its core development direction, and launched two special projects,"Destination Exploration" and "Food Discovery Journey", in order to make "Luxury Select" more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. In the process, many hotels that opened in the Asia-Pacific region have gained excellent reputation and the experience of staying has been overwhelming. For example, India's ITC series (especially Agra's Mogul ITC), Tokyo's Turin, Japan, and Naka Island in Phuket, Thailand have all become super popular destination hotels, often hard to find a room.

Today, luxury select hotels have opened 119 hotels around the world (as of March 2023), spread across six continents, including 5 hotels opened in my country. If I had to pick one of them to recommend, Hangzhou Green Town Zunlan Qianjiang Luxury Collection Hotel would be my answer.

Every time I stay at a luxury selection hotel, I especially like to read the brand book placed in my room, which contains an introduction to each luxury selection hotel. Different from other Marriott brands, each hotel under the Luxury Select brand has a unique logo, which outlines the characteristics of this hotel. When combined, they form a real collection! I even hope that every luxury collection can have a logo badge. I will definitely buy one for home collection every time I stay in a new store!

The "azure" in the English name of the hotel means lake blue and sky blue, which completely summarizes the impression of the hotel. This logo is more expressive. The upper part is Jixian Pavilion, a scenic spot by the West Lake, and the lower part is the Qiantang River adjacent to the hotel. One river and one lake include Hangzhou's two most famous blue colors. Is there a better annotation?

This is not the first time I have stayed in Zunlan Qianjiang, but it is the first time I have visited the Qianjiang bank in such a misty and misty spring. I was worried that the wet weather would make travel very awkward, but when I set foot here, I actually found that this weather gave the hotel a different hazy flavor. Looking out from the hotel's ubiquitous floor-to-ceiling windows, the shadowy riverside skyline on the other side of the Qiantang River, the several bridges across both sides of the Qiantang River, and even the urban green belt along the river all have a different moist beauty. This kind of beauty may really only be found in Yanyu Jiangnan.

Although the hotel is conveniently located along Zhijiang Road, the main road along the Qiantang River, it creates a unique arrival experience with winding paths leading to the secluded scenery. In the spring light, cherry blossoms open the way; under the glass hollow dome, greenery is full of green, creating a vibrant welcome moment.

Walking into the hotel lobby, the rich European palace style came to my face, instantly reminding me of my stay in a luxurious selection in Europe. In the elegant space built of marble, crystal lamps and European-style furniture, blue floodlights and blue fabric are used to render the atmosphere, making it grand yet tranquil and fresh.

In the evening, the sky is fading and the blues are coming. The entire lobby seems to have transformed into a blue Inception Space, which has a magic power that makes people calm down instantly.

"Flowers" are another dazzling element here, and the right floral art adds vitality to the lobby. On the background wall of the front desk, there is a osmanthus tree woven with embroidery technology, which always reminds me that this is Hangzhou (osmanthus is the flower of Hangzhou City). I even imagined my favorite osmanthus fragrance in my mind.

The European style of the lobby continues to the guest rooms, as if bringing me into a European private residence to immerse myself in the luxury of light and luxury. The hotel has only 205 rooms, 80% of which have views of the Qiantang River; the area starts from 70 square meters, which is the largest starting area of a hotel room in the city. These two points alone are enough reasons for my choice of staycation. Among them, the 270-degree River View Suite is my favorite room type and is the most recommended one for everyone to experience!

It has a completely independent living room, bedroom and bathroom space, but the reason why I can't put it down is that all the spaces face the river view! Therefore, the designer generously set up the bathtub and vanity next to the floor-to-ceiling windows to soak in the river. Just thinking about it was great!

The 270-degree naming of this suite comes directly from the bedroom with invincible scenery. This is a room that can enjoy a 270-degree panoramic view of the Qiantang River while lying in bed. In order to maximize the landscape effect, the entire bedroom has reduced various decorative elements to the minimum, only retaining practical functions, returning to the spiritual satisfaction of a light vacation in the city.

With milky white as the base color and water blue as the theme color, the guest room space presents the ultimate purity. But what surprised me the most was that the hotel, which has been in operation for eight years, has done so well in maintaining the rooms. I can hardly see anything dirty, and everything is as new. This is the brand spirit of luxury selection.

If a comfortable guest room retains the hearts of the guests, then a good restaurant in the hotel retains the stomachs of the guests. As a special project of luxury select hotels, the "Food Discovery Journey" starts with the "taste buds" and attempts to conquer every traveler who passes by. On the occasion of spring flowers blooming, I highly recommend everyone to go to Lanting Chinese Restaurant on the 23rd floor of the hotel. As a Black Pearl and Diamond restaurant, the excellent Qianjiang scenery and elegant and unique Hangzhou cuisine are all reasons why I stop.

Changing the clear and light colors of other areas of the hotel, this Chinese restaurant has a strong contemporary Chinese charm. The hollow Chinese lock-pattern decorative ceilings are matched with chandeliers with Tang style and Song style to outline a calm and classical dining environment, but the only thing that remains unchanged is the city style and river view outside the window.

The restaurant also has 11 private rooms, which also have different views and characteristics. I like VIP3 the most. Like the suite I love, it has a 270-degree view of the Qianjiang River. The space is also extremely spacious. It also has a tea-tasting area. In Hangzhou, in spring, there is something more wonderful than a taste of Mingqian Longjing?

Don't eat from time to time. A good Chinese restaurant will definitely launch seasonal dishes according to the seasons. In Lanting, I can always look forward to the most seasonal eight treasures and jade foods. This time, I started a wonderful journey of spring vegetables with three hot cold dishes.

The next hot dishes were also full of surprises. Dahongpao Eighteen Days Knife Duck is a must-order signature dish of Lanting. I actually tasted the crispy and tender taste of roasted young pigeons, and the seasoning of pepper was also very strange, which instantly enriched the taste. Longjing Spring Tea is pickled and fresh, a traditional Jiangnan famous soup. Every household will make it at home. Of course, it must be paired with Longjing in season!

Soak the East China Sea hairtail in broad bean oil. It is a delicious dish. Fresh East China Sea hairtail is fleshy, but only delicious and has no fishy smell. Seasonal broad beans are my favorite ingredient. The combination of the two is an unexpected combination. Nan'ao laver, bamboo shoots, Malan head, two seasonal vegetables are preferred during the season. Malan head is generally used for cold dressing. This is my first time eating it in the form of fish soup. It is a unique addition to the mild taste of seaweed.

A Chinese meal that satisfied both the eyes and the mouth has made me happy. Unexpectedly, the 22nd floor Jingan Mark Restaurant and Bar would be no less inferior. It has the same open view and an outdoor terrace dining area. This season is already a comfortable choice for many guests to sit down.

This is a restaurant with multiple functions. In addition to the regular buffet breakfast, it provides full-day Chinese and Western snacks. In the evening, different dining options are provided according to the seasons. In the afternoon, there is also local specialty afternoon tea to enjoy the beautiful scenery from above and enjoy leisurely time. The breakfast here also brought me a lot of surprises. The quantity and quality of the products are quite high. I have eaten handmade beef noodles from the freshly made noodle stall for two consecutive days!

The weekend seafood-themed dinner buffet features rich seafood, meat, and signature desserts. Because of the guaranteed taste, the attendance rate is excellent. If you want to eat, you must book a table in advance.

This time, I happened to catch up with the winter seafood hot pot buffet. I have to say that the richness and freshness of the seafood here are far beyond my imagination. The variety of specialty pots provided include Hangzhou's unique Pianerchuan, which is very close to my heart.

This time, my visit to Zunlan Qianjiang broke my original setting of it as a pure business hotel. One of the most important factors was the comfortable feeling given to me by the hotel's fitness facilities. The hotel's swimming pool, gym and spa are located on the first floor, and a palace-like corridor fills the sense of ceremony. The indoor heated swimming pool has comfortable natural lighting, and the blue ceilings echo the blue pool water, adding a lot of noble texture. While swimming while feeling the green, you can even breathe a lot easier.

The gym is also very special, with an open outdoor space, which changes the oppressive feeling of a purely indoor gym in the past and puts a green and healthy lifestyle first.

But I would also like to say that although the hotel's food, accommodation and entertainment are excellent enough, I still suggest that when visiting Hangzhou this spring, you might as well go out for a walk and see the most beautiful Hangzhou in your eyes and keep it in mind. West Lake and Qianjiang River are famous for their water. But another specialty of spring: tea, is the best gift this season. I suggest that you go to Meijiawu in Longjing, walk along Meiling Road through the tea gardens, go to Shangxianggu Road in Santongzhu to breathe the moist and spiritual air, and eliminate all worries and worries in life. Perhaps this is the ultimate pursuit of a city vacation.

This was an ordinary weekend I spent at Hangzhou Zunlan Qianjiang Luxury Collection Hotel, but it was worth remembering and reminiscing.
