Xitang Hotel Recommendation - Life Philosophy: Half Sugar

Those who have been to Xitang must have been greeted by the roadside aunties, saying, "Are you staying in a hotel? It's quiet and hygienic, with a river view room." The kind of guest room that can be fully highlighted with just a carved large bed was a product of that era, but now our way of life has undergone earth shattering changes. The design of the old house can no longer meet the needs of life, and the infrastructure can only rely on forced installation in the later stage, such as air conditioning, hot water equipment, and flush toilets.

So, people have new requirements for staying during travel: staying in the scenic environment and living in modern houses. The artistic point is that "the inner world is classical, the outer world is modern.".

To the north of Xitang Scenic Area Xitang Flower Lane Starbucks, KFC, and DQ have all settled in. Divided by "sending a child to Fengqiao", although there is not a few steps away, it is much more peaceful. The Half Sugar Hotel is right here, with the parking lot right at the entrance. The hot weather is a blessing.

In the early years, SHE had a song called "Half Sugar Doctrine", which sang "To adhere to half sugar Doctrine towards love, it will always make you feel unsatisfied. If there is a seemingly sweet feeling, you will not feel tired; to adhere to half sugar Doctrine towards love, you don't have to stick together every day, love is not easy to come by, you need to leave some space for each other to breathe." It's about love, but there are also life philosophies. Of course, being too bitter is not enough, and being too sweet can also leave people at a loss.

This is precisely the relationship between the three bosses, Lao Lu, XCMG, and Teacher Xu. Three junior high school classmates, although not often seen, always cared for each other and never cut off contact. So I decided on this name, otherwise many people wouldn't have thought that the leaders were all men.

There are two types of people who open hotels or homestays. One is a sense of playfulness, mostly to achieve their dreams with a "level playing" mentality. They do not engage in large-scale projects; One way is to think clearly and initially determine the business model. Half sugar belongs to the latter, otherwise it wouldn't have made 37 guest rooms all at once, and it includes 19 double standard rooms - which is not commonly seen in boutique hotels dominated by king size rooms. And 19 rooms were not decided by a slap in the head. Upon careful calculation, about 38 people are the number of people in a bus. No wonder it was overcrowded just a week after its opening, and the boss was willing to "expose his family's shame" - the OTA platform was messed up, oversold 8 rooms, fortunately, they were all calmed in the end.

Life Original Taste Half Sugar Not Full

It sounded so proud until I moved into one of the Japanese style rooms. There are a total of four Japanese style tatami style suites named "Lan", "Shan", "Quan", and "Yin". Xu Yuzhong, one of the three bosses, has traveled back and forth between China and Japan several times, becoming familiar with Japanese style. Coming out for a trip means living a different life than usual. I am very satisfied with staying. However, tatami mats have high requirements for hygiene and cleanliness, and cannot be completed with a mop. The grass mat itself is also required to be insect proof and breathable.

In fact, when I took the elevator, the first thing that attracted me was the "candy series" on the hallway: bubble gum, peanut candy, nougat, fruit candy, lollipops, cotton candy, jump candy, and other candy names hanging at the door of the guest room, and various candy shapes immediately came to mind. The paintings hanging on the hallway are not famous, but student works. It is said that during the preparation of the hotel, Lao Lu asked the children, "Uncle Lu is going to build a hotel. How do you think we should decorate it?" Then he brainstormed from them.

There is also a type of room called the "Water Series", which looks no different from the "Sugar Series" at first glance. It was only after being reminded that there was a boat type at the end of the bed. The three bosses are all from Pinghu, Jiaxing, claiming to be "the most knowledgeable about water towns". Whether they are holding a long pole or sitting in a small wooden basin collecting water chestnuts, they are all in close contact with water. Since we have a spatial carrier, let's unleash our imagination and invite inheritors of intangible cultural heritage to create a Wupeng boat bed with the characteristics of a water town in Jiangnan.

As a result, there are four boat themed suites, and without exception, the washroom features a rose and golden lotus shower head and faucet. To do tonality is actually very simple, just a little embellishment is needed. This is also the interpretation of "semi sugar" For example, for old items, the whole store is different: the wooden beams horizontally above the bar and the window grilles in the entrance lobby. At first glance, the wooden beam doesn't look particularly special. Upon closer inspection, the faces on it are all intact. It is said that they were filled with lime in the old age of the fourth year before being mixed and not destroyed.

"A few elements are enough, it's not a cultural relic exhibition hall," the owners said.

Before becoming a semi sugar hotel, this place was almost built into a hotel style apartment. Three bosses came to take a look and found that the two rows of guest rooms were too similar to student dormitories, which was boring. So there is the current atrium, although 8 guest rooms were sacrificed, it added transparency and agility to the entire hotel, and on the way to the "harmony style" room, there was also a transformation of mood and vision.

But for me, the most tangible benefit was that that day, I ordered takeout (it is said that Bantang will soon have its own restaurant), but I didn't want to eat inside the house because I didn't want to sleep wrapped in the smell of food at night. The atrium was a good choice, and there were books selected by the old board on every table, which was the only way to enjoy lunch.

By the way, let's talk about a few small details.

There is a terrace on the third floor, where the sun sets and the Milky Way twinkles above. On the dark edge of the sunbathing area, fireflies appear and disappear from time to time;

The bathroom products use Baicaoji, derived from the water town people's insistence on plants and nature;

The water pavilion at the main entrance is a great place to take photos as a memento, with a touch of artificial rust that can withstand any type of filter.

The millennium old town where people live refers to Xitang, where over 800 indigenous people still reside. Walking on the cobblestone road, one can still see the clothes that the locals are drying, which cannot be imitated by other places. Therefore, the staff of Bantang Hotel are all locals, and the farthest is also Jiaxing. Most people in Jiashan have been playing in Xitang since childhood, and serving guests gives them a sense of being on the ground. I was picked up by the staff of Bantang Hotel from the southeast foot of the scenic area the next day, and along the way, they introduced me to the attractions. Whenever they came across, they introduced me to their origins; Passing by the restaurant on the street corner under the bridge will tell me that it has a good reputation; When you see someone selling black plums, secretly tell me, "It's best not to buy them."; I would also give a suggestion, "Drink sour plum soup, coconut juice mixed with coconut powder." I almost found a free tour guide.

"Our hotel used to be called Pingchuan Middle School, and I am a student there. How can I not be familiar with it?" The girl revealed a secret. This kind of taste with a sense of "returning home" is really good.

The pursuit of life in the wilderness

There is a story about a young man and a fisherman chatting about their ideal life while fishing by the river

The fisherman smiled and said, "Young man, what kind of life do you think is your ideal life?"

The young man smiled and said, "Go public with the company, marry your beloved girl, have a happy family, and educate your children well."

The fisherman asked, "And then what?"

The young man replied, "Then I can retire and sit here fishing every day."

The old fisherman smiled and said, "Isn't that exactly how I am now?"

Sometimes we feel like life is forcing us to have no way out, but have we taken life seriously? What we strive for with all our might be what we currently possess. Years ago, my father renovated the house in my hometown and moved back with my grandparents. They worked hard for a lifetime, but ultimately enjoyed returning to rural life and enjoying the tranquility of their hometown and the ancient simplicity of the wilderness.

Moye is the quality of life that Chinese people pursue throughout their lives.

The water view room in Xitang has always been a proud sign for shop owners. The Moye Hotel, built along the Flower Lane in Xitang, originates from Moganshan, one of the "birthplaces" of Chinese homestays. It is a very personalized design hotel, without a large sign like traditional inn hotels. Only a large piece of ancient copper decoration is set up at the entrance, which is low-key and solemn in this ancient building.

Knowing that this hotel was discovered by chance while searching for seclusion during a night tour of Xitang, he took a different path and did not find it in the noisy area. Instead, he lived in the peaceful and cozy North Gate of Xitang Flower Lane in the ancient town, deep by the river without any noisy tourists. A few steps away from home was the long corridor of smoke and rain, which is most suitable for finding a home for tired body and mind after a noisy day.

Its design is understated, and the homestay is full of design sense. Not only does it cleverly use brass elements in many details, but each piece of equipment is carefully selected and arranged by the designer, revealing the owner's pursuit of quality and beauty everywhere.

The homestay cleverly utilizes brass elements in many details, with brass signage used in the rooms and copper sheets neatly wrapped around the first step leading to the second floor. The overall texture of the space is intertwined with brass and cement gray, which makes designers and colleagues envious.

Even every chair, lamp, and utensil inside the room have been carefully selected and arranged by the designer, making it a highly visible space.

The wooden and minimalist rectangular bookshelf, with staggered hanging glass light bulbs, and the green plants perfectly soften the picture. While waiting for the check in, you can sit on a wooden bench, quietly read a magazine, appreciate the photography on the wall, or invite friends to chat.

High quality space originates from human design, and the Xitang Moye small room type is not inferior to the large room types of other hotels due to proper space utilization. Compared to a courtyard in Moganshan Moye, the rooms in Xitang Moye are separate and do not disturb each other.

Moye Puyu has a total of 20 rooms, which are larger in size than Moganshan, meeting the needs of Xitang's pedestrian flow while also providing more freedom in choosing room types. Regardless of the size of the room, each room has its own style and story, each with its own unique strengths.

Mo Ye, who pursues texture, still follows his usual tone in the selection of room accessories. Each room is equipped with hardware facilities such as sanitary ware from Duravit in Germany, top-notch shower system Hansgrohe, and American Seely mattresses. You can see familiar bedside lights and small bottle bath products from France, such as O London and YAMAHA speakers.
