When traveling to Lugu Lake in Lijiang, I specially stayed in Kunming for two days. I joined a one-day tour group to go to the Dongchuan Red Soil. I was still a little hesitant to choose this attraction, but this attraction is relatively short by car and the online feedback is also good. The driver and I made an appointment the night before to pick me up near the hotel the next morning. It was another small group of six people. The car seemed a little crowded, especially the tourists sitting in the back row. It was very uncomfortable. Fortunately, the journey was not too long, so you could get off and exercise. There are four more people traveling alone, and three of them are my age group. One of them is a Taiwanese compatriot. It is very rewarding to talk about travel experiences and exchange information about tourist attractions with each other along the way. Taiwanese compatriots are very talented. He told me that except Hebei and Henan, he has been to all other provinces in China. He is a tourist!
It was also a mountain road. After more than two hours 'drive, we arrived at a place where we could stop and watch the scenery. The Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau has my country's unique red land, Dongchuan, which is about two hours 'drive from Kunming. It is a place close to Kunming to enjoy the scenery of red land. This is the countryside, but in order to facilitate sightseeing, a sightseeing platform has also been built to facilitate tourists to sightseeing and take photos. The newly plowed red land, planted green farmland, blue sky and the surrounding mountains and rivers form magnificent landscape paintings. Because it is a small group, the driver and tour guide will park for us in places with scenery. After a few hours of walking around, the scenery is very unique, and the original doubts are dispelled. Everyone communicated with each other and thought that the trip was still worth it.
Walking through the vast fields, the surrounding mountains, sky, and farmland constitute a touching picture. The colors are like color palettes that have been knocked over to the ground. Are they the color palettes that painters in the sky have forgotten in the world? Seeing these pictures one by one, it seems that people's hearts are much broader.
There are two peasant grandfathers with Internet celebrities, holding pipes in their hands, sitting on the top of the hill, with red soil at their feet and their sheep and dogs next to them. It looks like a painting. I also photographed this kind of picture. Whether they are posing or not, their demeanor after experiencing the vicissitudes of the world is peaceful and natural.
The colors of the photos taken are different. I think it should be the result of different lighting. If the light is strong, the colors may be brighter and denser. On the contrary, the colors should be lighter, and the colors taken with mobile phones and cameras are also different.
If you see such a big tree here, you should respect it. It is the sacred tree of the local people. Don't climb it and take photos, otherwise the local people will be unhappy when they see it.
During lunch, I saw such a plant in the restaurant. The tour guide said it was a ground lotus and could be eaten. The restaurant owner was very enthusiastic about frying lotus flowers for us. The taste was not bad, a bit like bamboo shoots.
At around three o'clock in the afternoon, we finished our sightseeing and returned to Kunming. I think the red land scenery in the early morning or under the sunset must also be very beautiful.
