Before going to Bailian, I was often influenced by its various labels: "a local high-end boutique hotel with only 5 hotels opened in more than 20 years","the most tasteful woman","creating a century-old brand with ingenuity", etc. People around me who have been to Bailian praise it. This makes me more curious about it. Therefore, for this stop, we chose the birthplace of the Bailian brand: Kunming Bailian Hotel.

Before we start, let's take an aerial video to let us experience the Bailian Hotel in the mysterious landscape.

About 45 minutes from downtown Kunming, and finally after a short mountain road, Yang Zonghai suddenly appeared on the right front of the car window. The driver said: We are almost there. Soon, the car stopped in front of a building that integrated the characteristics of Yunnan's ethnic minority architecture.

The girl in ethnic costumes handed me an ice towel and put on a Dai silver pendant, which suddenly brought me back to reality: a long-awaited vacation began.

I was not in a hurry to enter the room, but moved to the "Bailian Tea Garden" at the side of the lobby.

I thought it would look like a tea garden in Jingmai Mountain in my mind, but when I stepped in, I found that I was walking into a museum. The housekeeper beside me saw my doubts and told me that this was originally a tea room and a tea museum, but now all Bai Lian named the corresponding area a tea garden.

Guests can not only experience the tea ceremony and enjoy the fragrant road here, but it is also the largest Pu 'er Tea Museum in Bailian Hotels Group. It has a rich collection. If you are interested, you may wish to ask the housekeeper to make an appointment and come on a Pu' er tea cultural journey.

Guests of the villa can also taste afternoon tea here every day. This is not the afternoon tea that is imagined as an Internet celebrity check-in style. Instead, the cloud tea angel performs the tea ceremony face-to-face with the guests, eating freshly baked refreshments while tasting the tea from Jingmai Mountain Tea Garden. Pu 'er tea, Mmmm... just thinking about it makes you feel extraordinary!

Everything you feel in "Bailian Tea Garden" is precisely the most important part of Bailian's brand philosophy: it has never thought of "mixed Chinese and Western". Since the brand was created, it has purely only been the most traditional Chinese cultural resort hotel. Tea is a treasure of Bailian. Kunming Bailian has the largest tea museum. If you want to experience a thorough Pu 'er tea culture, you must visit the Bailian Hotel in Jingmai Mountain!

Another treasure of Bailian is the hot spring. For Kunming Bailian Hotel, it is also the most brand competitive existence. Even from a certain perspective, it is a benchmark for Kunming to experience high-end hot spring culture. It has stood firm for more than ten years, which shows its charm and strength! Many locals choose here as a weekend vacation destination to enjoy the "sea" view, soak in hot springs, taste delicious food, and relax.

The hot spring center is next to the main building and adjacent to restaurants, conference centers, etc. The spacious lobby with Southeast Asian style and polite service staff instantly distinguish the hot spring experience here from the hot spring halls in society.

Even someone like me, who has been to more than 10 hot springs, walked out of the locker room and saw the double-decked corridor stretching outdoors and endless soaking pools and lush vegetation. I was still shocked by the momentum. There are more than 20 soaking pools such as whirlpool baths, barrel baths, petal baths, sea view baths, spa baths, etc., and there are even free fish treatment pools. I'm sweating from the soak, and there are free iced Pu 'er tea and other drinks to cool down.

This place deserves the title of "Sea" Scenic Garden Hot Spring. You can even choose a massage room to have a private rose bath with the sea view, or enjoy a full-body massage while looking at the sea view. This is unparalleled beauty, isn't it?

The third treasure of Bailian is of course their hotel! To be honest, when I was still wandering around the main building and the hot spring center, I was a little uneasy. I felt that the privacy of this public area was not high, especially when there were a lot of tourists on weekends. When the housekeeper drove me to the villa, I was surprised that the entrance to the villa area was so low-key. The deliberate C-shaped entrance prevented non-residents from peeping into any corner of the guest room area except a bamboo forest.

I don't know whether the designer referred to Mr. Tao Yuanming's "Peach Blossom Spring" when designing this villa area. In my opinion, this has almost become the best annotation here: the fragrant grass is delicious, the fallen trees are colorful, and the light is suddenly enlightened, and there are fertile fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry bamboo. This area covers an area of more than 40,000 square meters, but there are only 21 villas scattered in this natural lakeside garden.

The stone steps into the villa

Walking in the villa area, it is actually difficult for you to see the existence of the villas at a glance. The designer cleverly integrated the architecture with the trees, flowers, and plants. There are lush and winding vegetation between each villa; there are stone steps in front of each villa to reach it, making each villa very private and space excellent. In my opinion, this is also the most important characteristic of pool villas.

This time, I stayed in the hotel's most basic pool villa, but it already has a spacious space of nearly 250 square meters. The outdoor area of the villa is unique. Just the design of the water and rocks entering the interior is full of interest. The outermost side of the villa is a Southeast Asian style Daze Pavilion. Making a pot of Pu 'er here and reading a book in a daze is really a fairy life.

Sinking resting platform with swimming pool and aisles on both sides

The design of the outdoor swimming pool is also very clever. It is separated from the corridor leading to the guest room by a sunken resting platform, which is more private. There are sun loungers placed by the pool to enjoy the afternoon.

Almost all of the villas were built using teak and volcanic stone as materials. These precious materials not only increase the texture, but also ensure that they can withstand the baptism of time. That's right, these villas were built in 2008, but they don't feel stale at all. This is because the teak wood does not curl or crack in the sun and rain. It is resistant to corrosion, insects and wear-resistant, and its luster is as bright as new.

Teak wood also has a strong sense of nature, and the use of large-area floor-to-ceiling windows integrates indoor and outdoor living spaces. The space in the villa is also very reasonable. Soak a pot of cypress puer in the living and receiving space, the sunshine corner in the bedroom is also suitable for a daze, and the office area behind the bed can also meet the needs of work.

Some details in the villa, such as lift-type TVs, sufficient sockets, all-electric window screen curtains, Bailian tea sets, Bailian Pu 'er tea leaves, etc., are also in line with modern needs.

There is a lifting TV in the bedside cabinet

The bathroom area is equally spacious, with a very large walk-in dressing area. Hey, why is there no bathtub?

Duang, look outdoors! Such a big hot spring pool, why do you need a bathtub with it?! Every night, housekeeping's eldest sister brings a large pot of rose petals, puts in hot spring water, lights candles, and the extremely romantic private soup belongs to me!

The designer also gave a lot of thought to the pool villas. For example, every two villas can be connected through a wooden arch, making it a double pool villa, which is more suitable for friends and family to travel together. For another example, some villas adopt a sunken design, with only the thatched roofs exposed outside. The villas are only the villas when you go down the spiral stairs. Does this design look familiar? That's right, the Four Seasons Hotel Villas in Bali also have a similar design. This is no coincidence, but that these two hotels are from the same British designer John Heah! (Other works include Chongqing Bailian, Amanera, etc.)

Do you have any regrets about living in this pool villa? There are still some. After all, it is so close to Yangzong Sea, but it is impossible to see the "sea" from the villa. If you want to make up for this shortcoming, you might as well choose a lake view pool villa.

The layout in the lake view villa is different from the one I live in. The space is more open, and some red colors are boldly chosen. The most pleasant thing is of course that you can see the Yangzonghai lake view while lying in bed!

The largest villa in the hotel is the 2050-square-meter three-bedroom Presidential Villa. The oversized independent swimming pool, the private beach for the use of villa guests, and the Internet celebrity waterscape corridor all add more to the ultimate luxury. possibilities.

In the villa area, there is also Kunming Bailian's Wetland Spa. This is also a treasure-like existence, with a very Southeast Asian atmosphere. The sunny canopy in the reception area impressed me.

The spa is surrounded by wetlands. Perhaps there are only one spa rooms with such superior environment and such abundant space in the world. After the spa, you can also take a break on the outdoor sun lounge chair or relax in the dry and wet steam room. How can you describe it as cool?

The spa product is amala from Germany

In fact, before moving into Kunming Bailian, I was still a little worried that I had nothing to do but lie down and sleep. Would it be a little boring? As a result, I found that in addition to the hot spring center where I can spend a whole day, there are many places in the hotel that are worth checking in. For example: Bailian Organic Vegetable Garden.

In addition to various vegetables, the most interesting thing is of course picking fruits. This season, bayberry, peaches, and passion fruit are all ripe. I actually found a particularly small almond. It didn't look beautiful enough, but it tasted so sweet and fragrant that I couldn't stop chewing! To let you know privately, most of the vegetables served in the hotel restaurant are also picked from your own vegetable garden!

Another example is the online celebrity check-in point that can't be enough no matter how hard you shoot: the sinking platform by the lake...

If you want to do some health exercise, there is also a resident Tai Chi master in the hotel, and there are Tai Chi experience classes every day on the lawn by the lake.

Babies don't have to worry about having nothing to play with. There is a big kids club in the hotel that can meet the needs of these cute children.

After talking about Play and talking about Stay, it's time to talk about Delicacy! I have always said that it is unreasonable for a good resort hotel not to have good food. Bailian Hotel has always attached great importance to the dining experience, not to mention Yunnan is also a major province of food! Although Kunming Bailian Hotel only has one Bailian Xuan restaurant, it can serve a variety of Chinese and Western cuisine.

Since Bailian Group acquired Bordeaux River Château in 2013, being able to enjoy the fine wines produced by Bailian Château in restaurants has become one of the unique experiences. If tasting in the restaurant is not enough, the hotel's red bar is specially designed for wine tasting enthusiasts.

If I had to recommend the only food that was most worth recommending, it would be crossing the bridge rice noodles! Although the hotel's dedicated cross-bridge rice noodle set meal costs 268 yuan each, the supply is still in short supply. You must book in advance to enjoy it. Many ingredients are made immediately, which attracts many local Kunming diners to drive here! The set meal consists of four dishes: pre-meal bread, starters, rice noodles and desserts. The rice noodles are also eaten into a gluttonous feast. More importantly, the soup base selected here is made from three kinds of local chickens, which shows that it is extraordinary.

For those who like to eat Chinese food, the local specialty Yiliang Roast Duck (the taste and taste are different from that of Beijing Roast Duck, Nanjing Roast Duck, and Leshan Sweet Skin Duck), fried beef with porcini mushrooms and other mushrooms are all worth a try.

For those who like to eat Western food, the charge-grilled lamb chops must not be missed. The mutton chops are full of juice and have no smell of mutton. The sauce is delicious and extremely tender.

In addition to the restaurant, guests can also choose to enjoy delicious food in the waterside restaurant by the lake. The delicious food accompanied by beautiful scenery will naturally be even more delicious.
