In mid-September, I traveled to Yunnan for the first time. My children were over 4 years old and there were elderly people. In the rainy season, I set off with slight anxiety!
I bought the ticket a week in advance and only made a rough guide (most of the power clicks on the Internet were advertisements, so I couldn't be bothered to read it). I originally planned to only go to Kunming and Lijiang, but I bought tickets to fly back to Kunming and Lijiang. I temporarily discovered that Shangri-La is near Lijiang, so I temporarily inserted Shangri-La in the middle of the trip, and the itinerary changed to Kunming-Shangri-La-Lijiang.
Day 1 (Saturday):
The early morning flight was direct to Kunming. The flight was delayed for a while and arrived at the hotel around noon. Shenzhen Airlines 'catering and services were good, and the prices were very cheap in the off-season. After eating at the hotel at noon, resting for a while, I took a taxi to Dianchi Lake. I took the car under Haigeng Dam. After shopping for a while, I rode my bicycle to Haigeng Park. Dianchi Lake without red-billed gulls is really ordinary. It's not as good as West Lake, Taihu Lake, East Lake...(Every year from October to March of the following year, a large number of red-billed gulls come to Dianchi Lake from Siberia to spend the winter. I heard that it is spectacular and good for feeding birds ~) In the evening, I went to Airuochun in the city center recommended by my friends. It was really delicious. It was the best meal I had during the entire trip.
Talking about my feelings about Kunming, I am actually quite disappointed. The urban construction is really not very good. Maybe I imagined "Kunming" too beautiful in my mind. I think it should be a beautiful city, full of flowers, and extremely clean. I don't think I will come to Kunming again next time on my trip...
The next day:
The Stone Forest is still worth seeing, which makes me feel that this trip to Kunming was worthwhile. I thought that only by going to see the stones and being immersed in it could I feel the magic of nature, and the landscape of the stone forest could not be seen anywhere else in the country. We traveled back and forth by train ourselves (it was very urgent to follow the group meeting). Shilin Railway Station has buses to the entrance of Shilin Scenic Area, which is very convenient. Shilin Station is very close to the scenic area. We took a slow train to Shilin Station. When we left the station, there was a bus costing 2 yuan directly to the entrance of the scenic area. Someone on the bus would introduce transportation methods to everyone. After finishing the game, we would take the air-conditioned passenger bus at the entrance of the scenic area to Shilin West Railway Station. Take the high-speed rail. The fare seems to be 30+. I enjoyed playing slowly with my children and suggested that Shilin arrange a whole day. There is also a Jiuxiang Scenic Area near the Stone Forest. I heard that the scenery is also beautiful, but you can see mountains, rivers and caves in many places, so I didn't go.
Day 3:
Get up early in the morning and fly to Shangri-La. Shangri-La's airport is built with local characteristics. It feels really refreshing after getting off the plane. We booked a B & B in Dikezong Ancient City, and accommodation in Shangri-La was very cheap. It seemed to be ten o'clock in the morning. The boss enthusiastically let us have another breakfast. After eating, we took the boss's car (200 round-trip) and went directly to Pudacuo National Park. It turned out that chartering a car was wise because it was a bit far away... There are three attractions in Pudacuo, two of which are not open now (I heard that rare animals have been discovered), even if only Shudu Lake is worth it. The three-to four-kilometer dirt road in front of us and the wooden plank road by the lake are all walking, so it is worth walking. In the previous paragraph, I was walking on the small dirt road that was inaccessible, and I really felt like I was in a primitive jungle. My husband and children were very excited. If you take a boat in the first half of the wooden boardwalk on Shudu Lake, you will miss a lot of scenery. The entire area of Shudu Lake is really beautiful, especially when the weather is clear, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. We saw 7 little squirrels that day. The four of us only brought one can of oxygen and didn't use it up. In fact, only my child and I were slightly panting. Neither my husband nor the elderly had altitude sickness, but this matter varies from person to person.
In the evening, I found a new Tibetan restaurant with better taste and environment nearby to eat. Small hot pot was served with barbecue meat. It was very delicious for people who had been tired all day. After eating, I simply walked around the ancient city and took my baby not far away.
By the way, we booked a starry sky room. Although we can't see stars, it's nice to see the blue sky and white clouds.
Day 4:
The child had a fever in the middle of the night, so today's trip to Balagzon Scenic Area was cancelled, although I really wanted to go... I played in my room in the morning and it rained in the afternoon. Fortunately, the child's fever subsided. In the evening, I went to yesterday's restaurant for dinner. I ordered too much and I ate so much. The simple and happy appearance of the boss was very infectious. After dinner, she left the baby to the old man for custody for a while. After walking around the ancient city with her husband, she discovered that the entire area of the ancient city was quite large, and some areas were also highly commercialized.
The Tibetan houses in the Shangri-La area are very distinctive and beautiful, and... you must be immersed in these places to feel the beauty that shocks the heart.
Day 5:
Although the child stopped burning, he was still a little worried and wanted to stay in Shangri-La for an extra day.
After breakfast, take a bus to Lijiang, which takes about four hours. After arriving in Lijiang and living near the ancient city for the whole season, I went to the ancient city after a rest. Tourism in Lijiang is still good. Local prices are not high, the tourism market is relatively standardized, and the scenic spots and streets are relatively clean.
Although the ancient city is highly commercialized, it is indeed beautiful, affectionate, and clean. It is much better than Wuzhen and others. After I had enough shopping, I found a young chef in a well-known restaurant here. After arriving in the rain, I found that I had to queue up. After actually tasting it, I found that it was just a relatively cost-effective one. It was not bad but not worth queuing up, let alone worth walking in the rain. After eating, I found it was raining heavily. You must bring an umbrella when you go to Lijiang in the rainy season!
The freshly baked flower cakes are quite delicious.
Day 6:
We went to Lashihai for horseback riding, and it was much cheaper to book on Ctrip. We paid 350+ per person on site. Although it is a bit expensive, riding is really fun, much more interesting than riding in circles on a flat road, and it is worth experiencing. After riding my mother and eating, taking the horse team's car to Lashihai Wetland Park is not amazing, but it's actually good to take the children and play slowly.
I couldn't eat Yunnan food anymore, so I had KFC for dinner.
the seventh day
The day before was booked at the All Seasons Hall for a one-day tour of Yulong Snow Mountain. Small group of 5-9 people, 350 people per person, without performance. It is very cost-effective, and there are many online, which saves energy. I recommend it. The only downside is that the time to play is not long enough, hahaha. The snowy mountains are very spectacular, and the Blue Moon Valley is particularly beautiful. If you have children, you can leave more time for the Blue Moon Valley and then buy tickets for the battery car. There is nothing special to tell you about.
the eighth day
Because it was an afternoon ticket, I went to the nearby Black Dragon Pool Park to play in the morning. We went to the door where we had to pay the ancient city maintenance fee. After entering, we saw that some doors did not charge the ancient city maintenance fee. The park is very clean, the water is very clear, and you can climb mountains. The children have a good time.
Then it was basically like this. Lijiang was still good.
Summary:
After having a preliminary understanding of Yunnan tourism this time, I am not too worried about my family's altitude reaction.
Plan that my children will go to Shangri-La before going to primary school, and also visit Meili Snow Mountain.
