So when I saw someone in my circle of friends saying that there were similar Hobbit cabins in Kunming, I was instantly dumbfounded. As a half Kunming native and a movie enthusiast, would I not know about such places in Kunming? After careful inquiry, it turned out that it was in Fenglongwan Town in Xundian. emmmm... said it is in Kunming, but there seems to be nothing wrong with it.
In my impression, the real Hobbit Lodge is in new Zealand, which is also the location of the Lord of the Rings films. Unfortunately, although I have always been fascinated, I have never seen it. As for what my circle of friends said... whether it's true or false, let's go and have a look. We're so far away from new Zealand. In short, you shouldn't fall in love with magic movies. It's too humble.
In this way, with a little expectation, but not too much expectation, I embarked on a journey to Fenglongwan Town to find Hobbit huts. Fortunately, Fenglongwan Town is not far from downtown Kunming. In less than two hours, I got off the bus and headed straight to Guaiwu Village, where the Hobbit Huts were hidden.
Perhaps it was because he didn't have too much expectations at first, but when he first saw the Hobbit House, he felt pleasantly surprised. Rows of colorful round doors are stacked on top of each other, cleverly nestled on the green hillside. The entire cabin is built against the mountain, forming steps connected end to end. Officially call it the Cave Hotel, but I prefer to call it the Hobbit Lodge. Standing at the door of the cabin, you can see the magnificent waterfall restaurant, the strange village of strange houses, the calm lake and the dense forest. It was as if he was about to travel to that magical fairyland world at once.
In order to deeply experience the fun of staying in Hobbit Cottage, I specially arranged a two-day trip. It is not just a show. The interior of the Hobbit Cottage is also very interesting. Not only is WiFi, air conditioning, bathroom and other facilities complete, but the top is also designed with multiple optics. When the sun passes through, it will reflect various charming brilliance, making it extremely dreamy. There is also an open-air swimming pool outside the hotel.
It can be seen that Hobbit Cottage (Cave Hotel) in Fenglongwan Town is indeed a carefully designed hotel product. When paired with Guaiwu Village, it has a taste of a magical world, which is a tribute to art film and television. If you come with a curious mind, Hobbit House will not let you down. But the Hobbit Cottage here is not exactly what it says on the Internet, a perfect restoration of the magical fairyland. After all, I remember that the cabins in the movie are all independent, and this place is connected. It is a bit exaggerated to say that the restoration is perfect.
However, this is understandable. After all, the Hobbit Cottage in Fenglongwan Town is positioned as a hotel, so issues such as construction costs and user spending power must be considered. If an independent cabin is really built, the experience price will probably be dissuaded from many people.
Finally, as a senior finger fan, I am quite happy to see such attempts and tributes around me. Although I had some small regrets and shortcomings, when I left, I still showed an old mother's smile.
