After leaving Yuantong Temple, ask passers-by and quickly walk to Huashan East Road. However, a long distance is surrounded by a hospital to be built. Looking at the map, I learned that this is the Red Society Hospital of Yunnan Province (also known as the Second People's Hospital of the Province). Every hospital location in the country is crowded with many people and vehicles.

While walking, I looked to the left, but I didn't find a single tower. Imagine that the two towers would definitely show a sharp corner. However, the downhill section of Huashan East Road was almost completed, and I couldn't find anything when I looked back and forth. I had to open the Gaode map and search. Ah! Turn left just a few dozen meters ahead. So he followed the map and entered a residential area without any signs. To avoid unnecessary trouble, I didn't ask the doorman anything (maybe there was no security guard). Looking at the map, this is the residential area for veteran cadres of the Provincial Department of Agriculture (based on the dilapidated state of this community, it is estimated that only ordinary retired employees under the Department of Agriculture live in it.)

Walking about 100 meters in, you will be surprised to see a tower hidden behind an iron fence. The tower is surrounded by scaffolding and seems to be in need of decoration.

So he walked in and took a closer look. There is a monument erected with the words "Twin Towers of Dade Temple". The signing time was 1983.

Yes, this is it! However, it has been nearly 40 years since the monument was erected, and the writing has become mottled and unclear.

Taking a closer look, I found that no one was working on it. The scaffolding was so rusty that it seemed that it had been suspended for a long time...

There happened to be an old man next to him playing with flowers and plants, so he stepped forward to inquire. The old man was very talkative and told him that this place was vigorously promoted by Qiu He when he was secretary of the Kunming Municipal Party Committee. He had visited the scene twice and wanted to demolish all the old houses in front and back and build it into a major project and tourist attraction of the ASEAN International Book City, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan.

Qiu He was later transferred to the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, was later investigated and sentenced to 14 years in prison. The successor, Zhang Xintian, was later investigated, and the matter was shelved. Some time ago, many foreign friends came to visit, and the Cultural Relics Bureau also sent people to remove the dilapidated cloth and replace it with a new one. Then, there was no more.

After checking, Qiu He left his post as secretary of the Kunming Municipal Party Committee in December 2011. If the work had been suspended then, it would have been more than eight years now. It is reported that due to the construction of office and residential buildings nearby, the "crooked" of the two towers is now more than 50 centimeters, and the iron shelves that are to "protect" the twin towers are also stained with wind and sun. The 500-year-old tower is still standing, and it is unknown when these iron shelves will be demolished or simply thrown down themselves...

From this small matter, we can also see what the political message is when people are dead... The old man also couldn't help but shake his head. The building behind the twin towers has also become a dilapidated project. It is neither demolished nor built.

When I left the community, I saw a introduction to Dade Twin Towers Temple at the entrance of the community. Unfortunately, it was fragmented and no one cared about it anymore.
