It had basically rained in Guilin these days, which was really inappropriate. After discussing with my mother, I temporarily changed my itinerary. I went to Kunming for a few days before returning to Nanning. The itinerary for Guilin was cancelled

After transferring flight in Nanning, I ate Guilin rice noodles. The rice noodles have a lot of ingredients that you can add at will. The sour beans and sour bamboo shoots are surprisingly delicious. The store we visited looked ordinary, but it tasted really good. Some delicious snacks are often hidden in these inconspicuous shops.

Remember to drive yourself once

After Nanning arrived in Kunming, we chose to rent a car and drive by ourselves. Kunming is a very suitable place for driving by ourselves. In addition, my mother's legs will hurt on cloudy days. I don't want her to walk more, so driving by ourselves will be more convenient. After arriving at the station, we will go to the Yihi car rental service point to pick up the car. It is a car rental platform recommended by my best friend. The first car rental experience is not bad. New users who have just registered will have many preferential activities, including discounts on the first day and coupons. Ordinary car models we rent, On average, it's quite affordable

Today's itinerary is relatively loose. I don't go out until after nine o'clock. March and April are the flowering period in Kunming. I encounter many unknown "wild flowers" on the road. Kunming is a city rich in flowers. These small flowers are very common on the roadside, giving the city some embellishments

Yunnan Province Museum

The essence of a city is all in the city's museums. This museum is newly built. The venue is very large and you can enter by swiping your ID card. The new museum is beautifully built. The characters "Yunnan Province Museum" are different from those I have seen in other cities. The brick-red exterior walls make the whole building look very artistic

From ancient times to the Jurassic period, from ancient times to modern times, tens of thousands of exhibits show the development process of Yunnan. There are not many people outside holidays. The decoration in the museum is really great

Yinhai Yinghua Park

We came out of the museum and went to the Cherry Blossom Park to enjoy flowers. We came just in time. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom at the end of March. If we came two weeks later, we probably wouldn't have seen them. This is a relatively small park and no tickets are required. There are not many people in the park, so it's suitable for hanging out and taking photos.

I met dancing girls in the park and attracted everyone to watch. Cherry Blossom Park will be completed quickly. After lunch, I plan to go to Guandu Ancient Town for a tour.

The flowering period of these flowers seems to be at the same time, and I see large patches of lavender on the road. Spring is really a suitable time to come to Kunming.

Guandu ancient town

Guandu Ancient Town is an ancient town with a history of more than 1,000 years. The commerce and handicrafts here were already very prosperous during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Now it is regarded as a commercial street and a food street.

I met many stalls selling stones on the street. I heard from the store that it was pure jade, and some even cut the stones specially to prove its quality. I don't know much about this kind of jade, and I don't dare to buy things in the scenic area.

I didn't buy anything after walking around the street. Before I left, I had rice noodles for dinner. The food in the scenic area would be a little more expensive, but the taste was okay. A bowl of rice noodles with a marinated egg would make me feel full.

Shilin Scenic Area

Today's key itinerary is the Shilin Scenic Area. Shilin is about an hour's drive from Kunming. If you are not self-driving, you can sign up for a one-day tour online. One day's round trip is enough.

The Stone Forest Scenic Area is really big. It is said that almost all karst forms in the world are concentrated here. I can't wait to see these grotesque stones.

As soon as I entered the scenic area, I saw a cherry blossom tree full of trees. The essence of the stone forest has to continue moving forward. There are free shuttle buses in the scenic area. You must take a car if you can take a car. You will be very tiring after a day of shopping.

The small stone forest we came to first when we got on the bus. As the name suggests, the small stone forest is filled with some relatively short and small stones. The stones stand neatly on the ground, sometimes I feel that nature is really magical. Later, we went to the big stone forest. There are many people in the big stone forest, and the roads are complex. We just follow our feelings and we can always get out in the end

There is a stone stuck between two big stones. I am really afraid that this stone will fall off when it is windy and rainy. However, after so many years of ups and downs, I believe my worries are unnecessary.

The best place to enjoy the panoramic view of the Stone Forest is the viewing platform of Wangfeng Tower. There are relatively few people here at noon. The peaks you see here are completely different from those you see on the ground. After seeing them, you will be even more impressed by the magic of nature.

I met local people wearing ethnic costumes on the road, some playing musical instruments and sewing things. I don't know what they were doing, but I didn't come forward to disturb them.

If we visit quickly, the Shilin Scenic Area will end in three to four hours. Because my mother's legs are uncomfortable, we walk very slowly, so we can have a closer look at this place. We won't go back until the afternoon. If we are in a hurry, we can actually arrange another attraction in the afternoon.

haitang dam

Today, I went to Haigeng Dam to see seagulls. In fact, Kunming had the most seagulls during the Chinese New Year. Now many have flown away, but there are still many existing seagulls. Before going, you must bring some buns or buy a bag of seagull food after arriving. It is probably because these seagulls have seen too many tourists and will eat food thrown into the water. If they put them in their hands, they will attract them not to come.

Yunnan ethnic village

In the afternoon, we went to Yunnan Ethnic Village. The Ethnic Village is not very far from Haigeng Dam. There are more than 20 ethnic minority villages and buildings in the Ethnic Village. Among them, the ones I am more familiar with are the Dai and Yi. They will hold celebrations when they meet ethnic festivals, but unfortunately we missed it. This is the first time we came to the Ethnic Village, and everything was new.

In the afternoon, I went to eat authentic Mengzi rice noodles and bought some flower cakes to go back to Nanning tomorrow. Nanning went there by high-speed rail and I also returned it in the rented car before leaving

Zhongshan Road Snack Street

Today, I didn't visit any scenic spots after packing up my things and traveling on the road. In the afternoon, I returned to Nanning to visit the Zhongshan Road Snack Street. I felt that I was either eating or on the way to eat these days.

detian waterfall

Today, a group that signed up for a one-day trip was preparing to go to Detian Waterfall on the China-Vietnam border. The tour group was picked up by car, so they had to set off early in the morning to gather at a nearby place. It took more than four hours to drive from downtown Nanning.

The Detian Transnational Waterfall spans two countries, China and Vietnam. In addition to its special significance, the waterfall itself is also very spectacular, with a drop of more than 70 meters from top to bottom

Because it is the border between China and Vietnam, when you take a bamboo raft to tour, you will encounter many Vietnamese people selling things here. You will encounter many coffee sellers. The language is difficult, and I don't dare to buy it without knowing the quality.

On the way to Saigon Coffee, I went to this Saigon Coffee and bought a few bottles of Vietnamese coffee to bring back. This kind of shop is at least open here all year round. The tour guide also said that this place is more reliable

I have to prepare for my return journey in the afternoon. I have been wandering around the Urban area for a long time in the morning. I am quite satisfied with my accidental trip. At least it didn't rain. I really hope that I can catch the good weather next time I go out
